Many people in the super spiritual and charismatic movement interpret this verse to be talking about miracles, signs and wonders. I’ve heard people say everything from being able to levitate, pyrokenesis, time travel and all sorts of other extraordinary feats. Is this really what Jesus meant about his disciples doing greater works? I don’t think so. In this episode we speak about the outpouring of The Holy Spirit and how Jesus is able to teach, train and equip believers all around the world through fellowship with the Holy Spirit. Jesus said it is better that he go unto the Father so that he could send the comforter which is the Holy Spirit who will lead believers into all truth, this is the greater works. This is not to negate the supernatural or signs and wonders but to bring the emphasis back to knowing God through what Jesus has done on the cross because the Holy Spirit will always point us back to Jesus.
