In this episode of The TruthSeekah Podcast TruthSeekah speaks with Brok Weaver about the UFC, Native American Spirituality, Hard Work and Jesus. Brok Weaver is set to make his MMA debut and his fans are excited to see him get the opportunity. Growing up on the Native American reservation in McIntosh Alabama Brok talked about the strong sense of community and backing he has with his family. He also spoke about his rambunctious life as an adolescence who was always getting into trouble, fighting and running with the wrong crowd. In a place of desperation Brok went with his wife to church and immediately felt like he was at home. When the pastor prayed for Brok he felt the loving presence of the Holy Spirit and dedicated his life to following Christ. Still rough around the edges, and still in love with MMA and combat sports, Brok Weaver is passionate about using his platform for the furtherance of the gospel and the work that Jesus has done in his heart.

about God and all that and demons and angels a read about oh man is super deep bro for sure I definitely have to get you one just released it like four days ago went to the Amazon bestseller section and Christian angels and demons and all that kind of stuff so kind of blown away man oh man I'm stoked where are you at right now what city you in huh what city you in right now I'm in uh McIntosh Alabama it's actually like 40 miles north of mobile yeah you know right yeah I mean criolla oh you in criolla yeah oh man we should have had you in studio man at the end did this dang you didn't know I lived a megachurch I did I did yeah I would I would have come stacked I've been walking more convenient for me cuz you could you barely can figure out how to use the phone man you should you should see my iPhone it's like guys I dropped all the one in the jacuzzi and I got this old one now and it's last me till I can get a fight and buy a new one so uh dude for people who are watching this who don't know who you are they don't know what you bring to the table I just found out who you are a good friend of mine Lynn Weaver shared he's been sharing your videos on his on his Facebook and I checked it out and seeing that the video would you I guess it was a post-fight interview and you were talking about how Dana White needs to look at you and things like that I couldn't find it on YouTube I was trying to find it again but but then you know I seen a fighter who was local locals I okay we got somebody from our neck of the woods that we can root for that and then at the end of the interview the the post-fight interview you're talking about your relationship with Christ so that's what really won me over man I want to talk to you about Jesus and what he means to you and the change that he's done in your heart man that's what I really want to explore but uh just set it up man just for people who don't know who you are and what you bring to the table man just kind of introduce yourself yeah I'm just Mackintosh mo um I was the little spa band Oh Indians we kind of a next-door tribe out here in McIntosh in Mount Vernon and uh man fighting and growing up in sports is just all we know here but then still point to where you know nobody ever takes any further and I was actually the least you know the leader of the pack that uh was ever to think of the do anything and we played football basketball with even if even and we when we fought you know growing up I was just never the best or the most athletic but I always felt like I had the most heart and if anybody here in uh man I fell in love with fighting and uh I never I've never gave up going in thirteen years right now and uh just got the UFC contract you know dream come true never really think is gonna happen till it happens and uh it never would have happened until I made a real change in my life and I was falling down the local Fame the the partying and the drugs and the alcohol and and all that that that comes with the any kind of success in your life you know and uh it was dragging me down man and and I could see it and even though I was still winning a few fights I knew I couldn't get in I couldn't make it to the UC I knew God wouldn't let me I've oh I was born in a Baptist Christian family and it's like the word says you know you grow up in you you stray away which you know you stick and hold you you'll find your way back and uh I've always wanted to to live for God but never really is like you you never really believe start thinking Jesus it was just a prophet you ain't gotta do what what he actually says do and live for him and you can just make it to heaven and I believe that's like the worst kind of people you know you you become like a non-believer you become even worse actually you uh it was best for you not even believe you know and in the first place and I come back and have a there's a real strong pastor here on our reservation and McIntosh his name's Jerry wait I don't know if you've ever heard I'm being Crayola but he does a lot of work welcome worthless Church up right here magnetism House of Refuge is but he's a man and save nine years and he's been pastoring eight he was saved in nine months he was already pastoring his uh his first sermon you know God jumped in a man that was on the streets he was one of the hood leaders around him I mean gambler and his wife was on the edge of divorce he was just doing the worst man he you know he but when God took him and delivered him nobody could believe it around it all man you know he gonna fall back he'll be back in the streets know anything about you right yeah of course still say the same thing about me you know and and and I'm still within this this year and a half of being saved and running on for Jesus day you know I was still at my trial you know I'm still they're still watching me you know my pastors in nine years strong I'm come up God gave him a deliverance ministry and he'd always come and see me to different places and touch on me like touch Jesus to me like man come to church come to church I was like I ain't ready yet you know but the day I took my me and my wife was about to get blue together we wasn't married at the time and I was like she was she wanted to go to church I was like well if I take it to a church around there it's gonna be no other than brother Jerry's church because I've seen what God done to a man like that and how strong and and the love for Jesus the man has it's like it's incredible and I know that I've seen him cast out demons at its tip ministries and and really fully deliver people so I was like if I go to a church they will be on fake born Baptist Church gonna be something okay that holy goes and I don't know yeah I want to blow your mind cuz you come from a Southern Baptist out in South Carolina real quiet boring everybody kind of judges the way you dress and all this you know it makes that that religion and get some people it kind of makes you you you discussed it with church-going you start to resent against Jesus you know you it makes people just only wanna do that this board and you know but I knew I went to a couple of ten ministries as a center and I knew the kind of preaching brother Jerry had he ended in the streets he was always a man word he's always life at a party so it's like God knew what he had and playing for this dude so when he gave him a ministry to do can preach for hours and hours and hours and just make you cry man you know I'm not a crier but I go to this child and crying my eyeballs out feeling the Spirit of God people just just managed it's so strong it's like a gravity on top of you in here and there sometimes and uh man people run through the doors just busting on the doors being there and get saved man and then when I went there and he I went there that day in my mind like I'm bringing my wife here Brian gets a tiny ready for this I'm still gonna you know do my thing a little bit meadow and then I went in I didn't I just shook his hand and hugged his neck and felt some kind of power off of him that guy was just all around him I just already went to cry right there what's happening right here like I sit down and I'll just hold he was preaching the creature man he you know he said one thing about Mike Tyson and something and man I just bought out crying I just had I just knew that was the end of the line if I wanted if I want anything else I'm like I gotta give it to Jesus and I just I ran it out to man and gave myself to God and I've been through some trials and some some some battles in this year and a half I love it man and every day is about when every day is a battle for Jesus and uh I'm just waking up I pray read the Bible man we go to church three times a week and if I wouldn't have gave my life to God man I would have never made it to your seat I know the kind of man I was I know the kind of man I was I was wanting to be with the UFC with the money I want to be Conor McGregor and Kyle McGregor he he's a laughingstock now you know yeah yeah the way the great things he did physically within the things he did he's doing now he's you have no character to keep him at that level man exactly and none of us do there's your hi Jesus there's no good nobody's good but God yeah you know people say man you a good man I'm no you know not an hour I'm gum a good dude when I'm sleeping other than that man that's deep bro man so when you gave your heart to the Lord I made that decision to follow crisis everything everything turned around for you and then even you started seeing success in other areas of your life not just your spiritual life oh yeah man just the way I talk the way I dress the I don't listen to music bad music any mom all all gospel train here man you know I love third day of course Casting Crowns is that I I've been loving Zach Williams lately man that was so good I love elev mute worship music better where should use thank you yeah I love I love all of them me and my wife my wife's actually just bought a keyboard last night she sings with the some of the worship in the in the church and uh yeah man I I definitely felt a change in my life and just everything I can't be around the same friends all the time I can't stay around I'm too long cuz enough you start you start picking the way they talk you start picking up everything like did it wears on you you know and you ain't got a beat away from all the time but you got separate yourself and you got to just be in closure you know to yourself and to your wife and to God and know you got a it's a bad away everyday but I'm I'm ready for it man and uh I'm just gonna keep on runnin for Jesus man keep on praying and uh yeah man and I definitely feel like you know I've been able to keep my finances better have have been able to just just better prepare my life get a little more structured in my life and I stopped living like a kid and actually like a 28 year old man you know man and a woman helps with that too but to two people running running on for God and doing the same thing it's definitely bringing us up so keeping us in the same spot or dragging us down yeah that's what's up man it's funny you say that about the the friendships and and you know I'm saying hanging around those friends you know we always hear the whole the old adage show me your friends and I'll show you your future the kind of people that you're adding I know you're big in the training and stuff like that too so you kind of you I'm saying hanging around those people who are like-minded who have the same vision and mind I find it funny too because we talk about hanging out with Jesus right that not now we spend time in prayer we hang out with Jesus well you start picking up on those mannerisms like you said I'm starting to say things that these guys are saying and I'm starting to act like them and then now you're hanging out with Christ and now you starting to act like him now you start saying similar things that he was saying now you're starting to help people and pick up on those characteristics so I love John those those connections there man is awesome yep no man we ain't none over can be like him but we can definitely try best to be like you know yeah and to follow and it's a it's a it's a good one and you know if God be for you man who could be against you you know and it's awesome for you to see cuz even earlier we were talking about how like there's different levels and stuff that God wants to bring you to and he wants to release things and presents and gifts and things in your life but you're not ready for it yet if he was to step into the UFC over a year and a half ago you probably would have messed it up early right you will been out I'd have been out right now later than kick me out other than failed something or done does some crazy stuff I'd have been a laughingstock already I don't know yeah yeah God knew what he was doing who does time and uh man I just I thank him you know yeah I thank you he knows he knows what he's doing he's the author and finisher of our faith man like if we just get with him he's got this thing scripted out it's a beautiful story if as long as we just do it how he's you know leading and guiding versus doing it the way that we want to do it that's awesome yeah yeah um so let's talk a little bit about the UFC as far as you were announced that I guess it was announced that I don't know why I wanted to sign you to the UFC you got a contract all of this has all this stuff happen recently you got a fight lined up and you were supposed to fight what was it this past past Friday night well the 12th yeah well so what what happened with that as far as kind of walk us through you know I'm saying Dana White giving you that contract seeing the potential in you giving you a chance to kind of running into some mishaps and and some setbacks with that already yeah yeah man getting getting the contract I always said you know a lot of people has always been around me and seen me growing up in this sport and the mannerism the characteristics the charisma I had and they all played said man you gonna be started any White's gonna love you you know and I've always truly believed that you know you got to be an actor out there but I don't like to just see somebody at a fight they like to see somebody that can they can act and bring a show and eventually you know make some movies you know and uh always always knew I had that uh jocks man was like the UFC fighter he died few years ago and he overdosed on heroin but I live with him in Miami and he was a big writer and a publisher for UFC and Bloody Elbow and stuff and he had a real good thing way with words - and a big charisma people of diamond loved to talk to him and I live with him II always said man you're gonna make it to the UFC you're gonna be a star because you have that it factor about you you're interesting you you come from interesting heritage you come from you have a great story the way you made it you know we made it yet but the way you're gonna make it is gonna be a great book one day and now people always told me I was gonna be Dana's Golden Boy house and be the next the mohawk but a mohawk Conor McGregor just don't do it you know and I always believed that too man but it's like you never really believe it until you make it and then when you make it uh you know it was a overwhelming I woke I got that contract and every day I woke up and sat my wife and I looked and I was like for like the next three weeks I was like they really need to see ya that's crazy like I really I really said I was gonna do something and believed I was gonna do it but didn't really believe you know there's always that the devil he he's in you're like you're really not that good you're not gonna make it stop like you got to work a job to do this rested like you know you're doing all this you hurting your body for no reason you know and I just kept I kept going man and I got God and the in the back of that container man I was listening to uh some gospel music on my headphones band I really felt the spirit of that with me a called chills like a thousand times man really I just stuffed all the girls all over the place and I was like I'm gonna go out here and I'm bidding I'm didn't do it man you know I've been a better poet upset I've been I've been the really do it man and when I went in first thing I could just think was thank you Jesus you know thank you Jesus for for getting me through this man for getting me through these trials and I knew I didn't contract I I said yeah everybody load the post-fight speech you know cuz it's from the heart god I didn't script it freestyle or a man and uh I just really felt like you know God just just threw out a flowing flowing river of waters out my mouth you know and it was just and when I said it I don't even know what I didn't know was that good I went to the beggar because like man your fight was awesome at that post like speech and I was like really what did I say you know I I didn't think it was I didn't really think anything was that great and then I went wire sounds like okay it might have been pretty good you know and there's my manager calling today I'd sort of fight I was still in the airport he's like man they already want you to fight it love you they want to know when you can fight you know I was like man anytime soon tell them October or whatever I'll fight you know so he called me back and a couple weeks later and I was like all right October 12 Tampa Thomas Gifford 155 I said that you know that's uh eight weeks away I can cut that wait ain't been 255 in a year and a half but it ain't no change I've did it before I've did it 20 or 30 times let's do it I like the challenge and I had won the best way cuts in my life going to this fight week of the fight I was probably 13 pounds away wasn't injured at all was in tremendous shape because I just didn't stop training from the container fight and I've really supposed to say why until the UFC says why but it's something bad is there's rumors out you know that I'm gonna steroids our pop for this or a pop of that is if I'm a pop for anything they would have been done released it was it an injury though I mean that's the what I heard that was an injury or something okay yeah like you said man is God's timing surely wouldn't Minnie it wasn't meant for me to get an ANA fight another brother in Christ you know Thomas Cooper come out yeah Jesus wounds forehead man and he lost the fight man he still giving God all the praise he come out to Casting Crowns nobody you know you're just trying to tell everybody I mean that's awesome I think y'all was palliative Jesus follower and uh not gonna beat her up and uh see what he's got on me well I think I think that guy was like nah he's just gonna I'm gonna let you fight somebody else hang of it wonders and the past but you know not yet and there's little something weird and it's getting all cleared up and date they're gonna stage T I think they are Thursday and they'll give up you know where what happened one day that pulled me I was really their fault really wouldn't I fall you know Jimmy I just kind of kind of you know I'm saying tying it back into the UFC and you know I'm saying that uh do you do do you have any other dates yet or they're gonna get back with you soon or to reschedule woody what do you know so far yes three cards and one at the end of not November so no either one is in November or the three in December I'm gonna peel that's what's up he's in November December that's what's up so we had a couple of people here asking about your your heritage they say you look Native American is he an Indian talk a little bit about your roots man your Choctaw Indian right yeah yeah I talked a little bit about your roots because when you come out man you you have the headdress on you paint your face like you you really represent for the tribe man talk a little bit about your heritage yeah man uh like I said we I'm part of the moas the band of Choctaw Indians here and the Choctaw are mostly known to live in Oklahoma right because uh they actually started here in the Mississippi and Alabama line and when the Trail of Tears comes through the settlers come through it made made the Choctaws walk the Trail of Tears to where they founded in Oklahoma and they started one of the Choctaw nations there is actually a Choctaw Nation here in Columbia well in Columbia Mississippi was about three hours and when my people were asked to walk the Trail of Tears the mullahs here was just actually it was all Choctaw sometimes if a quarter of the tribe here in the swamps here and Alabama would brown back down to 43 Brownback accession Malvern and we hid in the swamps and we didn't walk the Trail of Tears and so therefore we didn't get federal recognize when they recognized Oklahoma Choctaws and the ones Mississippi because we heared and so we're only a state recognized tribe right now and we're still battling to be federally recognized and that's one of my goals to you know is other than to lead people to Christ is to get my people man we were poor down here we got no house I mean I just went to a Cherokee reservation out in North Carolina and the mountains in the Smoky Mountains three days ago of my wife and their reservations beautiful um tomorrow everything there is is is all is top-notch like they got their own casinos and stuff like that and they got their their own paved roads police department stores so many museums and artifacts and and all we got as a pow well once every October that comes around and and we do our festival I mean we we need to be federal recognize we're trying we're on Google weird they have books about us they say the wind is red as actual my watch October wrote by a white woman they come through here we took care of her and we have a weight week we took care of geronimo geronimo was one of the most famous Chiefs of all time in all Native American history we took Geronimo here and put him in the Circe Hospital which is an insane asylum back in the day before it closed down but we went open back up but yeah man and we took care of Ronnie mo we would let Geronimo just walk around freely about the asylum wouldn't even keeping him wouldn't even keeping him indicate in the in the sale or nothing and we took care of his people he just they just didn't like the the the weather here and they like the swamp so they they asked to be moved and we we released him and let him go and we had one of his daggers and I museum that he was supposedly like like skin like twenty twenty or thirty white men where our settlers or something I'll know some crazy stuff but we're actually trying man and that we're battling some other governmental issues and some other tribes that are battling against the secretly in secret I believe to not federal recognize us and but I believe with my plateau and you know going I'm scar I'm eventually gonna start a red tour and go around some Brown the nation and talk to some other tribal leaders in chief and eventually one day I will run for chief and hopefully uh by that time I have knowledge of how to get my people recognized and uh get us get us going better start like a like the kids around here man we we need a we need gyms we need everybody right here so athletic we need stuff that the kids can do after high school who don't not everybody makes it a football around here not small and if I could start like some rec centers and some things to do man you know start some stickball thing back up man you know start traveling and playing against other tribes but like my own Native American MMA organization there's that Creek right it's upside down yeah yeah yeah I know yes you know you create yeah yeah okay yeah yeah yeah Greeks right row from I'm sure yeah I mean we go to the powwow and I I remember moving from Louisiana to porch we moved to the reservation and porch back in and mid 90s and but no it was close yeah nice yeah nice now man just to see like the whole just the community that they had bro go and like you said gyms I mean gyms baseball field I mean we had really nice facilities that we walked to the gym before we started school me my brother and system we walk over to the gym and we walked into this little room in the back and opened it up there's a freaking arcade in the back of the gym with all types of video games you want you just push start and I was oh this one this one's working it must be money there we'll ask you to play like all these arcades in like so every day after school were coming to the community center shooting basketball playing playing football on the games and stuff all of this at the at the reservation and Porsche man so the community aspect and I've been thinking about that that's one thing I miss is the fact that I got in a lot of trouble and I had to move and the other conform was breaking into houses and stuff like that when we were teenagers you know I wish that I would have stayed on the reservation man so you know I'm saying yeah you don't a community and that's one thing a lot of a lot of people that have lost its community we've talked about that a lot I know coming from a reservation you understand that like black culture as well they know community like if somebody's cooking you know I'm saying everybody they just random people walking down the road are gonna come and eat you know what I'm saying and I know that that's something that's lost in like white culture like I don't even know my neighbors really you know I'm say I don't even know these people who get around me and something big different man I try but community I have an online tribe I have an online community of people all over that we all come together and sup and study the scriptures and you know so we just do life together over the internet but uh tribe is where it's at man for real yeah it is man you know I always say like everybody around here knows you know you go we used to go out and party and stuff and go to parties and go out to clubs we would always come it it would never come less than you know six seven of us and but six or seven oh it was like twenty or thirty of us they thought you know and we fight we fight we fight when I was funny all of us fighting the same person we jungle was always known for jumping people which is nothing to be bragging about yeah like it's my brother like me you know it's my cousin but he's like my brother and I'm he hit he get hit im hit and in any anybody say something to him they gotta say something to me and that's how my boys gonna follow me around and fight and you know it's when I come out man just to hear everybody around here say you know they're all about the hype you know he brought screaming and Mo Hwa you know it definitely feels me up too you know gives me an extra fire inside when I'm down when I'm getting beat up and I am you got to get up man be rough be rock you know and give me a man he's dude I can't I can't lose this fight and go and let my boys tease me man I gotta get off and it's helped me plenty of times man it's always something about people around here like man everybody has so close like you said you somebody could be cooking my boy I cannot see my boy's parents in years but I made my mama's cookin come over here Negro grab it right over there open a frigerator like ain't nothing like going peoples fridge already and gotta really even know him we just know that we're mobiles around here and we're probably keying somehow yeah so you know you can go my fridge or anything you want every and that's that was that was what the book that the woman wrote you know they stated wind is read she wrote in there that uh the people around here were very very kind hearted loving people and a real hospitable yes and uh you made her feel like she was at home and she didn't know nobody and I do believe like when we like somebody around here we will give them the shirt off our back you know we don't matter but if we don't like we don't like you but yeah that's it that was a different like you won't love him right yes we like you we love you exactly that's what's up men talk a little bit about the face pain and stuff to war pain because when you come out to battle right that's what you're going into a battle you come out and in full garb again you got the the face paint on you got the headdress what does the war paint represent for you the war paint Mima I've always wanted to do is I just started doing it late these last like seven fights in my pro career but I've always wanted to do it but it's like I would be cutting weight so mad so bad and I can only do it at weigh in if anyone loves welcome to fight so I do it the night before for the dance to intimidate my opponent and uh but before I've always wanted to do it and I just stayed I was gonna do it every fighter said I was gonna get my boys to do it was gonna walk out real rip our tribe and stuff but lately now getting a wife that was actually when I'm I ain't got to paint my own face you can sit there and paint it for me and she's good painting and stuff so when I'm cutting weight and right before I get ready to go step on that scale uh you know I try to get a like I said you know trying to be a character trying to make a movie one day trying to really rip my my heritage and stuff so well we know that's a big thing right exactly sell tickets everybody wants to see when they when they see the night before old Facebook name pop up with a crazy ending with some face on face paint on his mug and his opponent in my man ain't got none to do Saturday night I might go pay $25 a watch that guy you know and uh this is all part of the Act it's all part of uh the charisma and in the show's Minh that I'm trying to bring to the table I'm not just trying to be a fighter out there I'm trying to be a supposing and make make people I took a stand tune in and watch me know man being inspired by me you know I'm trying to inspire other mowol just follow the porch Creek inspire so many I'm not I'm not just doing it for my tribe I'm doing it that's why people said Amen when you paint your face paint your face just Choctaw I will pay my face just tell sometimes but I'm gonna call the tribes facial things everybody try on face paint stuff I want to rip all the tribes around the nation I want to get known that I'm not just doing it for my people because all the indigenous people out here are going like the people outstanding man which they we dare to go through with Trump and stuff like a man you know I'm trying I'm trying to reach out to Trump and tell them man look maybe anything like that know we were here first you know we got to get us some better instead of just paying us and give us casino only care but no because I know the casino does the people I had a bad gambling problem I mean so I don't even care about the casino man I just want I want the people to show love and pee because I know people I've met people when I lived in mine of three years like man you live on Indian Reservation Indians are still alive but still real yeah yeah they're still talking about yeah like we didn't just die out what I extinct but well the verge of it cuz you know it's just not known anymore and I wanted to get to where you know we're having just instead of things I feel like Thanksgiving even about the Indians anymore like that is given there's a white people and it's about food you know I think we should have another most people don't even know what the thing is given was four so yeah I'm just trying to be a better example for my people be a better example for Christ because there was a chief people's like man what do you believe in you know you you believe in all that spirit nature and stuff like that I'm like all that could tie in to God and all that could tie in to Jesus man Jesus we're in the wilderness for 40 days and for you know what he experienced you know Adam I don't got the name all the animals you know but there was a cheap I can't remember what his name was a wet dragon can do but yeah I just I just heard his name the other day but he said this he said the white people came here and they had no land but they had Jesus now the white people have all the land and we have Jesus mom so this tribe I think of the Cherokees found Jesus from the white people fell in love with Jesus and because they would already spiritual it was already looking for something out there that was very spiritual when white people came over here and they showed these spirit these hungry spiritual people that was already feeding for something but just nothing was there and they're looking for everywhere it was always looking for a call they really found something good it's really found something real they really felt the spirit from this name Jesus and the white people just just just told it as a Bible they just they just brung it over it for a religion yeah and and they wanted the land and it goes back to that verse in the Bible you know what would a man do sacrifice his soul you know and gain the whole world but lose his soul yeah and I really believe it come down to that at that time you know and my people here we have different churches and a lot of churches but the church is around here strong man and they were real real big and Christian and real big Jesus followers around here and I love that about my people yeah so it's not to like you know what the you know Christianity tried to do is they you had they tried to change your name they tried to you know wash your mouth out and you had to you had to learn English and you feel you know what you wasn't able to speak your native tongue all of this kind of stuff and so the spiritual practices and stuff that they were like you know I'm saying trying to remove from it but they gave us that tribe of juda exactly it was trying deeper I'm just going to some nugget tribe of GAD the twelve tribes right and I actually heard of that molas had ten of the of the of the twelve tribes of Israel in in our DNA from different resources I haven't deep I haven't no research to myself but a couple different people have heard I don't even talk to each other around here has resource just to me and I've always want to do some research about it but I'd be cool if we had ten ten of the bloodlines or yeah it's so funny because I don't want to really go deep into that on here but my buddy local Saints shout out the local saying he's in the chat he's like come on man speak on the speak on it man goes from truth so we get half of guide do to twelve tribes of Israel and there's some they found a Native American artifacts with ancient Hebrew written on it that predates the white man coming to America right yeah there was some stuff that we had that had ain't a Hebrew and written on it and like there's pottery and stuff as I hold on these people knew something man there was something a little bit in Perth at they're not telling us who we truly are and I think it was when you connect with Christ which is you know the most pure spirit out there right who is the great spirit let's get that straight yeah when you get with the greatest spirit right yeah you you're able to kind of you know I'm saying return to your essence of who you really are and who you were created to be and people coming home this beautiful man because I don't think it's like like you know we would see stuff like burning sage and stuff like that and and doing the different ceremonies stuff people say no that's that's not of God we got it we have to abandon all of that but dude you used to incorporate some of that stuff even with your heritage and stuff like the burning sage just and I know you're doing the war paint and feathers and stuff too oh not really I just play around with some fires and we play around with it but we we have an Indian air teacher here but they don't actually teach it anymore they stopped it when I got in fifth grade but from kindergarten to the fourth grade I went to Indian aid and we learned our some of our native tongue works but got most of it and but we would go to Indian aid every every day for two class periods and we learned how to make pots bead make simple weapons learn the land learn our heritage learned our heritage and our name was Miss Loretta and she still lived on the reservation she's actually Cherokee Indian but she she knows so she knows so much about the the all the Indians of the nation and she's they're actually starting it back now in November the DNA class in Mount Vernon to Cassidy via Elementary though they're gonna start back teaching there it is and I think that's one thing that could help us back getting the federal recognize is getting back into that I'm actually gonna go and take classes and start back dance and I did it when I was a small kid start back dancing to power wells and maybe do a couple dances when I come out to the Octagon you know and start speaking my language because I mean we could say we say our a B C's and our language and I can't say a anymore all I can say is Chadha Tuscan that means red warrior and that's my nickname you know but it's crazy how you how you you learn something and then you don't practice it you forget it and we learned it for four or five years and then and then we just forgot it they took it out of our schools they fired her from the school and that that's that was it you know yeah there was a guy at Moore who was teaching everybody but they caught him with some eagle feathers and it's like arrested them because they're like illegal to own and they yeah I'm from the schools and everything and so pulled that curriculum have you ever been to a green corn ceremony no I got to sit in on one the same guy out of porch we had been wanting to go like I you know go to the reservation and we go to powwow every year but I just started just kind of like researching the roots a little bit deeper and you know saying Native American spirituality and into some of the things that they believed and stuff and I had an awakening man about like 2012 and I went to the the powwow man and it was just I just felt the Spirit of God there man and and with the people and it was beautiful and I was just in tears man just remembering the heritage and what a little bit we have left man and this is like this is it everybody gets to come and participate this one day but I've always tended to to go back in the woods because I heard that they still like some of the elders and some of the people who travel to the powwow they go back into the woods and they really do the powwow they light the fire they get back there and they really dance like most of the stuff is for pageants and shows and stuff yeah with the powwow but when all the relatives come in town that they really go back in the woods and get it in so I always want to know who to talk to to get back there and I ended up talking to somebody at the porch Creek Museum and they invited us to a green corn ceremony and I was able to go back with them and I didn't get to participate in the whole thing there was some stuff that I wasn't privy to and I was kind of late to get into but it was very interesting and some of the traditions and stuff that they were continuing to do and I got to sit in and participate with them in some of the dances and stuff way out in the woods and add more and it was awesome and they do it as like a sabbatical you know that come in like a like a level of purification and it was really cool just to be a part of so definitely if you get a chance to look into a man is it seems really really interesting that's one thing that you know that my tribe is lost they stopped doing those things mainly because my church is around here I think to religion and they don't dress a certain way and you can't talk a certain way and you can't do those things at the that because you know God you know but only gay Indians a very strong passion for him and discharging fire it is cool answer you know but I don't go and show you rude sometimes you know in trouble is chill would you if you're not doing anything that's against the commandments you know if you're not worshiping any other gods and you're not were committing adultery and fornicating and nothing like that then I think it's it's cool to get back to the roots I'd do it in the fights I like I said I pay my face and all that you know there is of course a lot of criticism out in the world probably definitely around here to know just like oh he's not saved because he's painting his face and stuff like that it's stuff that I got to go through but what I don't I don't think that the face painting has anything to do with you being saved I think it's your character and your heart and they're gonna be able to see that you know Zach is that good you know but it's still that there's still people oh yes I know it's always gonna be there it's just so if you stop painting your face and then you're home why are you doing more you know you say you can't make it you can't make everybody having a wife and your family bro that's the best of ones you got to keep having damn in God right a couple more things I want to touch on man while have you one thing you you talked about in in one of your interviews another post-fight interview I believe it was you they were talk about your destiny and stuff and you you quickly kind of corrected him and said no I don't believe in destiny I don't think that out that were destined to do this or I was destined to be this and I think within the last year so my look at destiny I still used the word but I had this idea that God wanted everybody to be happy and everyone deserves to be happy and everyone deserves to capture their dreams everyone deserves a great marriage right and there was this belief that I would always say and even praying for people that they deserved it but the fact of the matter just tying in with destiny you don't deserve it we deserve the bottom of the barrel right but it's for those who work for it they deserve it the one who puts in the work the one who shows up to work early to you know I'm saying is consistent they don't give up they don't start it and then two weeks later give it up or move to something else can you touch a little bit of own destiny and hard work bro and consistency you know you know everybody I mean you're destined you're gonna make it it's just your destiny you really think about it man I've seen a lot of people that could have made something out of their lives and should have made some ties and I say the same thing about them a day that they never made it you know just because he chose not just because they chose not to you know so I believe at any point I could have chose not to make it it was plenty of times I quit and could have just really quit and not what I made and then what other people said that told me bro you it was your destiny to make it well you know I just chose to quit you know so I believe everybody if we're gonna believe in destiny everybody's destiny is to spread the gospel is to touch everybody with Jesus is to find some way your own ministry to create and have your own ministry to spread the love and the joy and and the knowledge of Christ and and to turn everybody to to the human and that should be everybody's if we believe in destiny that should be everybody's destiny now how we do it is gonna your own way own determination and hard work and perseverance to do that and we can at any time change that and anytime you know like my pastor said he had a dream that I had really long hair and in the dream I was of course a little older in my hair I've really long hair now but he said it was almost down to like past my butt and was they looked like god I was preaching to thousands of people in like a an auditorium or something or you know and that was a vision from a man of God that if it's destiny I do I've always felt like it's maybe preaching you know being evangelist spreading Jesus to the whole world you know and doomed the platform that I have created that God by the grace of God by repenting giving my life to him and serving him he has allowed me to have because if I didn't then I wouldn't be here I wouldn't be able to do that I would be in jail or bomb or just working construction you know for rest of my life so you're not insane where you bro I'm the same way I believe you can a man's mind can change it anytime and his heart can change at any time you could get bored with something sort of leaving the desk to introduce something I just believe you just got to really want to do it and then you gotta just work hard for it and just keep trying you know and I like the verse to the Bible you know delight yourself in the Lord and it'll give you the desires of your heart and when I read that verse you know I got saved to basically and ask God for a few for a few months thank God you know you see I'm serving you give me the UFC you know I want it you know but I wasn't ready you know and I Baxley it for about four months the backs to turn my back on God about a year ago for four months and for four months I just every day I felt like I was gonna die I felt the condemnation of God and I just went back to live trying to live my ways and me and my wife was going through it almost of divorce and and then I just knew I knew that I couldn't go back tomorrow I couldn't be the same brought because once you changed once you say you can't go back and feel the same as you did before you got saved and I had to I had to realize that and I was alone as for an artist four months of my life and I just felt like every day I was gonna die and live in eternity in hell and I was like man what am i doing you know god I'm coming back to you and if fighting is what it was what you won't got your plan in me can give it to him but if it ain't just take to take it away from me I don't even want to do it anymore if you don't want me to do it this ain't how you want to use me don't use me man like this and when I come back I just felt like my pastor told me before he didn't think fighting was was what God was gonna use me when I come back to God he had a different view and had a different vision of God and he said I think God's gonna use you do this now he's like I think you're ready to to you had to see that you can't be the same Brock as you were before and you a new Brock you wash clean you're different you gotta be different you're gonna be different and uh man it was just a strength I think you know some some people go away man and they never come back you know I just by the grace of God I come back man I come back stronger in and I come back with a fire a more fire and more passion and and like I said though still a battle every day you know but I'm with I'm willing to fight it man that's what's up me anything worth having is worth fighting for and worth keeping I'm reminded of one at one of my favorite UFC fighters yo Romero I love watching he did he give me man I got I'd say what we're sitting here watching him a couple weeks ago when he fought and I might get a man a guy my wife was like who do you talk about man I'm calling a man of God and she's like women you know I was like yeah but I love listening to his speeches and America come back to Jesus I'm not it was like gods having to send us prophets from all the way from Brazil come back to God America he won the fight you don't well Cuba there you go and uh you know I'm saying he's rapping using the platform he's talking to millions you know and he's just given God that they said what do you want to say you know come down my wife man I've made you well a few times at fights and I lived in Miami for three years he's living over there I'm any better place he's real good dude you know I didn't really enjoy scores talked with him too much Dean because I was the crazy partying Brock but uh he seemed like a very humble guy man you know yeah Chris Gardner says it's refreshing to see a UFC fighter using the platform for a positive message he says the only other one that I can think of its Doug Rose I'm pretty sure there's a lot more who who are in love with Jesus had no who were vocal about yeah right yeah Rose man I love Rose she's one of me and my wife's favorite female fighters for sure she's I hate that loss man because she was easy bro yeah she's very humble though man and very meek in a soft spot in the Bible for a woman to be very humble and meek and quiet and I believe she does that very well God's worked on her through that very well you know this was a Christian I think she is man because I've seen I've seen things seen articles and stuff you know that she is but her husband Pat baby I don't okay I had to ask you about this man because you were interviewed by a local celebrity who I'm infatuated with this guy you were interviewed by David J Maloney on his podcast yeah I bet work out ya know we had a podcast and I looked at your name up so I didn't talk show actually I seen him on the billboards and stuff yeah and uh man he uh he was actually pretty cool man pretty funny guy talk to him before and after the show we was in a hurry a little bit because uh the show got started late cuz things happen or something but he's pretty cool man uh he's got a lot of things going on he actually told me something in two in the bag that other kind of blue my mind and I I don't know if he's ever gonna release it I'll tell you I'll tell you when we're not on the podcast in front of people you'd like what I know man he's a trip and uh my he really is my wife goes to see the the Fab Four which is like a Beatle cover band and him and his wife and kid or like a day every single once he got a picture with him and stuff and he's a trip but yeah I seen you and I was like well I don't even know he had a show or whatever it was but that's cool man yeah so what's next for you bro which is which you got coming up you know I'm just I'm waiting on the UFC to tell me something within like I said tomorrow Thursday and uh see what card they gonna put me on in December man November 3rd is a the BMF title for Natan Maas at all and are you gonna be there I was gonna be there if I default October 12th and got the money to be there me and my wife is gonna take a vacation in New York and I've never been I've always wanted to go she been and uh but I don't think I'm gonna be there now you got dried up huh who you got out of those two that's a hard fight I say if my I think maza dog could stop him I think he can't cuz my was very very fast and accurate and he's a crisper fighter than eight but if he can't stop him within a round and a half and it goes longer than that did I think make one decision or maybe stop him with a submission yeah that's the main car too right so they're gonna go five miles man yeah yeah yeah yeah oh yes five rounds yeah that's for the title so yeah if it goes the distance I got Nate for sure if it was past three and under three and stoppage I think Mazda dog GT I don't know if we got the ghast him to go five or Nate but I think he's definitely his harder is crisper and he could he could knock out Nate and uh it's definitely gonna be the fight uh I told my manager I said hey one of those get hurt I'm down do you think that you have a similar fighting style to uh to him Madison yeah real quick I watched him fight especially his older stuff when he was younger the stuff with Kimbo Slice he was fighting with Kimbo and those guys and that was interesting but I watched him then I'm watching your clips I'm like wow just it's there's there's a similarity there yeah we both agile strikers at the white boxing stance those we we don't throw as many kicks when we do we throw them to hurt you in our boxing his uh punches body shots you know take some punches talk and talk to your opponent pressure and counter and uh yeah we definitely do have a similar fighting style also stick still some stuff from Nate you know walking people down going to the body push honor and all that so I definitely uh like the matchup between them two guys and one of my dreaming fights as always I've always said it'd be Nate Diaz and or Nate Diaz and that'd be one of my bucket list fights my buddy David said you're asking for set it up yeah I won't dare fight I won't win or lose or draw a million dollar if I am I'm rich stop my acting career quick you know yeah man I'm trying to put something I'm trying to get in the mood try again in WWE my grandpa my grandpa was a huge wrestling fan I told I said after you see it and going to WWE and uh I said Dana actually mentioned something that could be a star I said hey let me uh give me a couple of titles get me 155 when saving the title BMF title and uh go ahead and jump up out of this and go go do some eww no make my mom proud you know that's what's up well do you have a favorite wrestler and David wants to know he's say hello David on stream he's been listening the whole time he's the UFC fans love Dave favorite wrestler what's your name David it doesn't matter what your name set him up setting that's my favorite grass Amanda rock if you could smell that's that's my favorite man I love the rock he just returned baby WV I had to watch his return the other night he come back to pay off making movies and I think ain't never been I don't think of it with a bigger charisma and acting as the rock overhead the best wrestler of all time was probably Gobert only nobody could be Goldberger in his prime but my favorite the best acting I love to watch smoke plus my name is Brock so I did similarities I was a kid growing up on him you know I love stone cold too you know I love when rock the stone go had the arrival of the page Robbins of all time to be so also like steam to that's why I kind of stole some of his face paint but I really it was really Tonto but it did look simulated stings like I wouldn't Bastien him because I come out with the hat too so I went Bastion it for sure Anderson Silva man what's your thoughts on him man and when Anderson had before he lost the aura he stepped in octagon with the fear he put on his opponents was like no other you know that's something I try to create every time I step in there with the the mugging and the walk down because I always always oh it's a head game with your opponents they're like when I see my opponents at the weigh-ins and before the fight I'm like nice guy but I'm saying her jokes with them and joking around and making them laugh being kind of cocky but then kind of being humble and I like to just talk with oh man get into hey like I'm a nice guy but then boom I flip the script the switch on him in the end the fight and cage and I'm mugging him and I ain't touching you and you want to touch me no I ain't touching him and fight or kill Chuck and I believe understand did that when he when he walked in there and he walked in there like to do the song he's - possessed find her okay - the gun and when he get in there with them yellow them yellow pants and he come out to his ultimate theme song walk out you know he he had he everybody everybody that meant any man I've always said it's like 70% mental and 30% you you can be the best fighter in the world and you've already beaten your head you you can't and annas it would be his mental game that I was better he's got caught with white men then he got another fluke with a with a broke leg and then age catches you you know age called my June the time and still be in his prime man stepping it out the gun was was dqo the greatest of all time I always been him balloon I always wanted to lose but he would never lose and the time I bet it on him to win he lost if I worked and why the Lord said yeah sure I'm superstitious like that - yeah I'm not gonna bet cuz then they lose when I bet but I did but I did put a few dollars on man what's her name her name's slipping me right now the the champion and female what's her name I'm sorry I'm slipping I know you know it daddy's girl no no no no not Rhonda the the one who ran through everybody I can't think what's his name a minute Amanda Nunez I bet I bet on her and I want a few dollars on that one for sure she's punching through blocks if you block punching through your arms to hit you yeah I uh I trained in Edmond masters which I trained there for three years in Miami where she started her career at she had our new belts from coaches down by where do I got my purple and my brown belt from so you got a white to black belt in judo and jujitsu from him and training masters like five years and lives in the gym that I lived in you know before she started making a little money in the UFC but she she had some problems with the gym and moved to ATT and you know there are careers gotten better since then but um some of my friends said man we used to spar Amanda we used to have to uh they were like 135 organized and stuff they're like man we shot the really hit her because uh she liked dudes yeah [Â __Â ] like when we're over we couldn't we couldn't take it easier because she's super strong yeah she definitely uh she's definitely hard to beat right now she got that momentum to on her side and she's got a she got that height so she's got a waiter moment you know yeah yeah she's and one thing about her what she's done and being able to stay up for so long like Rhonda and Connor and some of these other people like they didn't get caught up like Rhonda started shooting movies and doing commercials and doing all this other stuff I mean I think the same thing happened with Roy Jones as well he started a rap label you know what I'm saying it's doing the partying and all that stuff and then he goes fight it's like there's somebody under you who wants it a little bit more than oh yeah you know what once you get comfortable it comes from under you and that's what Kevin gate says once you get comfortable it'll come from under you and I think you're one of the ones who who's hungry right now and you're one of the ones who's coming for it right now so I think it's your turn at this point yes oh yeah bro it's not tacky it's it is dude I believe it we got somebody that we can root for somebody from from you know the same 40 highway 43 you know again I see him I see him watching in the comments I'm gonna give a shout-out to Lynn be good and uh yeah go follow it man and yeah everybody stay up and follow it and really cuz like you said he's doing a vlog and he's he's saying documenting what he's doing y'all make sure y'all go follow him one of the people I followed was MGK Machine Gun Kelly before he got big like I was watching this young rapper from Cleveland and doing his thing and I like this flow he was fast or whatever I check him out and he hired a cameraman one of his homies whatever do him some bread to follow him and document everything and I'm watching the vlogs I'm watching when they got a tour date I'm watching him get better he's in the studio he's just a kid you know what I'm saying it is finally he gets an email or a call from Puff Daddy and then we get to see him go into the studio and meet shake hands with Puff Daddy and then it's a wrap he's one of the biggest rappers out now and we got to see the vlogging so people make sure you follow brock weaver because you're gonna see that story pretty sure a lot of people hometown want to know Alabama Auburn for sure for sure Alabama I'm really from Alabama my answer love knowing hey that's what I told my wife man my wife is an Auburn fan I was like I'm from Alabama I'm not from yeah from you from you from South Carolina hmm so all right brother well hey man I've really enjoyed it we'll have to do it again bro and again I want to make you man oh I'll come in studio yeah let's talk about it man for sure I'll hit you up hold you to it yep all right thank you brother we'll do it again all right peace yup god bless me bless Brock Weaver ladies and gentlemen good stuff I know that uh my audio was picking up I don't know about the video I think I'm here Brock Weaver follow the guy he's uh he's he's already making moves he's not one of those things he's about to be making moves he's already making moves and you could watch the footage man it was kind of surreal seeing him talk to Dana White and Dana braggin on him and things like that and getting his shot in the UFC he's gonna be making his big UFC debut he was supposed to do it something came up couldn't talk about it but he's got another shot coming up end of November at December make sure y'all follow him on social media and yeah so we got we're gonna be rooting for this guy it's good stuff so man there's this a lot to be said with hard work right and it the whole Destiny thing we were listening to an interview he did and he was he gave that check on destiny I don't know about destiny I know about hard work I know about showing up I know about getting to work early and I know doing it even when you don't want to write because you've signed up because you're committed and you have to do it whatever your dream is whatever your vision is whether you want to be a UFC fighter whether you want to be a podcaster whatever it is you want to do you want to start a small business you got to show up you have to continue showing up and do something today put something in the ground today that you want to manifest tomorrow everybody's showing up with their hands out but they haven't done any work you got to do the hard work you have to do it and it comes from integrity it's the hard work what are you doing when nobody's watching you that's the integrity because that's because everybody sees we got a yeah I got a nice podcast to see Brock Weaver that may have been training for years he been going through warfare training to get good to be able to get that shot everybody gets to turn on the TV and watch them and watch the vlogs now but they don't see what goes on when no one else is watching that's that integrity that's that consistency continuing to show up planting the seed cultivating the land and in continuing to water it the scripture says what it is a God who gives the increase I really believe that make sure you put something in the ground make sure you're helping people make sure you're being that friend for that person who needs a friend because when times get rough and you need a friend the Lord's gonna make sure you got it our friends are gonna show up a friend in need is a friend indeed so all of these things apply to walking in your calling your bliss your dream bringing it into fruition it's just a dream it's just uh you know I've said what is it a vision without action is merely a dream right you have to bring it out of the dream state you have to birth it it's just a good idea it's just an imagination but there's things that you can do to pull it out of the dream state and manifest it into your reality and only you can do that get with God the creator of dreams the author and finisher of your faith and he'll help you do it man I hope that his story encouraged you I hope that you follow his his walk and uh yeah so with that being said I'm gonna say peace of Shalom thank you for all the people who support my work via patreon I couldn't do this without your help you guys mean the world to
