my friend joseph wilson welcome to the
trueseeker podcast my friend how are you
hey man i am good and i am so honored to
be here thank you so much for having me
uh man it's a honor to have you and um i
was on your show
three weeks ago maybe we had a good talk
got really deep man
and uh was fun just to kind of let my
hair down and talk about spirituality
and the things that interest me so thank
you for
for hosting me on on your platform and
so all of my people

about we're gonna talk about purpose i
asked you
you know what what's one of those things
that you wanted to talk about and i know
that we walk in
a lot of the same streams and i mean
that's where we're seeing each other's
name for the first time on facebook and
seeing that you were hosting on your
podcast some of my friends and people
that i i look up to
and so we kind of cross paths that way
so i definitely will talk to you about
spirituality
christian mysticism if that's even a
word that you like uh christianity let's
just say
i'm talking about spiritual christianity
and i want to talk about that
but we're going to talk about passion
and purpose and uh
you know that's something that that you
help individuals with you teach people
how to find that and and uh you coach
people
you're coaching some friends of mine and
you're really good at what you do
uh before we really dive into that how
did you get into
your purpose right because if you're
teaching people how to do it you must
have
been on this journey to find your
purpose as well right
yeah so you know 13 years ago i had a
supernatural encounter
at a pentecostal church i went there and
i was drunk from the night before i'd
been partying all night
and i don't know what made me drive
there but i drove to this church and i
was sitting in the back seat i was still
hungover from the night before and i was
really regretting being there
and that was where this girl was just
singing a song on stage in her own
language and
i felt her heat go through my body and i
sobered up on that spot
and that kind of freaked me out it was
my first experience like that and
so when that happened i began asking
questions of what is this and if there
is a god who are you
and what's the point of all of this you
know so
i went through a church journey and i
went through what i would call
like a religious journey for a while
just seeing
the power of god the presence of god but
then also the
control of the system you know and i
went through this crazy i mean it's too
long to go into but
while going through that journey i
continuously was feeling led
into this idea of sonship into this idea
that god is in me and i am in him and
there is more to life than just
showing up to a service on a sunday and
just kind of doing your best in life you
know and
as i went through that everything really
picked up
pace probably four or five years ago
when there was a bit of chaos in my life
and uh
the church that i was a part of there
was some drama that went down there and
there was an affair and things went
crazy and i really started to see that
the relational
aspect in uh kingdom community is
missing you know
and that actually launched me into a
whole bunch of pain
because i had built all these
friendships that i thought i had that
weren't actually real
and me and my wife we went through a
rough time but that actually launched me
into this whole
understanding of now i was designed for
something very specific
that god intricately made me a creator i
don't know the language you want to use
there but
i was designed for this and every person
is designed for something when they step
into that
it is very evident that they are in
their lane like when i look at you
you are in the lane that was carved out
for you before the foundation of the
world you know
and you are thoroughly equipped for it
and uh so that's kind of how i got in
and over the last three to four years
i've been mentoring people coaching
people
in the same thing and in the last year
and a half it's really picked up
momentum and
speed so yeah all right i'm gonna that's
first question right get these questions
when you just give an opening spiel
how do you know that like how do you how
do you know that
i'm in my lane i'm doing what i was
created to do versus someone who maybe
looks just like me or has a podcast or
is it do you look for fulfillment
happiness joy finances
is ever does all this come together like
what is it for you to
to say that i can see that you're in
your your calling your purpose
that's such a good question and it's
really hard to answer
in english right it's a spiritual
we sense these things and we try and put
english language to them and it's really
bad but
i would i would say obviously
fulfillment but it's
your presence what you carry uh who you
know you
are vibrations frequency whatever you
want to call it
it's very evident it doesn't necessarily
translate to more money
because more money is this realm you
know it doesn't necessarily translate to
success the way the this system has
taught us success is
but it's so much deeper than that and
you can see
that you are running like a pioneer you
you're forerunning something that's not
this way or that way you know
like as we go into this i'll explain
more but what you were doing and every
person's purpose their real purpose
right like
the expression of who you are in god has
never been seen before
so if i am doing something that someone
else has done the way they're doing it
you can guarantee i'm not doing what i
was created to do you know
and this is why i love this connection
and the thing that i got from our
podcast was
that you are free and you will allow me
to be free
and that's why i have my podcast where
i'm like listen i might not agree with
everything everybody shares on my
podcast
but this the foundation is love and
freedom so you come on here
and you be you i be me and we'll see how
it goes you know
so i can feel that right now sitting
with you there is no
uh strings or no underlying thing going
you better not say this so you better
not be there you know
and uh so all of these little things
watching you are
all assigned to me you're in your lane
you know
wow and so you know i guess for that to
be true we always say the opposite has
to be true as well you can tell when
somebody is not
in their lane and is this what is it
somebody trying to fit in
a carbon copy of someone else what would
you say would stick out to somebody
who's like
haven't hasn't found their true identity
well here's a crazy thing right if we
look at our childhood if we look at
our life right from when we go to school
from when we're kids we're actually
taught to be like everybody else
right from your parents saying be like
your cousin billy why aren't you more
like aunt janine
right from there all the way to school
you wear the same uniform same shoes
same hairstyle cut your nails your total
is no longer here you know we're
constantly taught to conform
that's why i love that the the bible
talks about not conforming to the
pattern of this world
because we are all actually raised to
the pattern of this world
what is right what is wrong we get
marked on the same subjects
like if you're really creative in
traditional school there's no space for
you
even the art spaces their art space not
your art space
and so our whole life we're programmed
be like this guy be like that guy be
like her and then suddenly
we want to ask about this purpose we
have to break
all that framework and years of training
of trying to be like other people
so when you see people who are exploring
this but don't want to break that
framework
they can't come into the fullness of
what they were created to be because
there's still
this fear and i would just call it fear
this fear of death
right relational death uh emotional
death
whatever you want to call it but there
is a fear of some kind of death being
ostracized
not being liked being rejected and so
breaking out of that would be the first
step for any person that wants to step
into the unique expression
man and so what was that what was that
for you just uh
what i mean did did it have to deal with
faith and belief in those kind of things
did that did that help propel you to
well
so i i come and i encounter god i start
going to this church you know i'm
learning the church ways and
and um while i'm learning this freedom
in christ i'm
also learning this here is the boundary
don't cross it yeah here are the
questions that you should never
ask and those questions kept building up
in me for
seven eight nine years and so when some
of the drama happened
all those questions i was like i need to
ask these questions now why do we do
this why don't we do that why do we act
like this
and so for me asking those questions
started to
rip open the paradigms you know and
usually that also brings some kind of
chaos it's a beautiful chaos because
you're undoing years of what you thought
was good
and really you start to find things in
their fibers and they're not good you
know
and so for me that was the beginning of
hey let me ask these questions see what
happens and it was a roller coaster at
the beginning for sure
yeah who who started because like a lot
of times when you're in that that
situation which
i was you know in a very similar
situation people don't have the answers
you know and so that's where like you
know if
you know if you're looking for truth if
you you got to ask the questions to get
the answers and and the clergy or
whoever they don't really have them so
where'd you go did you hit
did you hit books did you hit google did
you hit the spirit did you tap it did
you get all that together
you know where'd you go for your answers
you know um i would say it was the whole
picture so first i went to
the leaders you know the ones that
supposedly have the answers and i think
that is actually the root of the problem
is because the system is set up like
these men and women have the answers but
actually they don't
they can't they're not supposed to you
know i love that your podcast is called
truth seeker there has to be a seeking
element if you want to find truth
because in the seeking comes a knowing
and in the knowing comes the freedom
right
you can't just hear truth and be free
you've got to know it
and if you want to know something you
have to seek it out
because when you really want to know
something you go looking more than a day
you're looking more than a week you're
looking more than a month but when you
don't want to know something then you
don't really
care right so yeah for me i started
there and that
brought some turbulence like why are you
asking these questions
and then from there i just felt holy
spirit just lead me you know the spirit
leading me into
new realms to which i was scared
because it wasn't familiar i wasn't sure
if i should go all in
and i would go forward and back up and
go forward and back
up but it was a beautiful four-year
journey if you look at it that way you
know
and uh that sparked it all for me um
would you call that what what many
people call the dark knight of the soul
did you pass through that like having to
un
do everything that that you thought you
knew and thought that you were and kind
of be re-taught and things like that
would you call it the dark knight yeah
well so the way i describe it is when my
journey began
there were things that were going on for
me that i did not share with people
and now looking back i am glad i did not
share with people they would have shut
it down
and so i had these these two things
going at the same time
and so when all this went up for me the
dark night of the soul like you say was
my heart being totally crushed and it
came purely in the form of relationships
i had um after all this drama happened i
still remember the night i was walking
up the stairs
my wife's asleep my baby's in the room
and i'm feeling like i'm gonna blow up
crying you know i've been holding the
sin this whole time and
i lie in my bed and i'm like don't cry
joseph don't cry
and uh suddenly my wife just wakes up
out of her sleep turns around puts her
hand on my chest
and she's like are you okay honey and as
soon as she died there i mean i just
just stopped weeping i'm like i'm done
like i'm done with
any kind of christianity i'm done with
any kind of church i'm done with any
kind of god thing for other people like
i'm so happy with my creator
i don't want to deal with other people
you know and that was kind of my
dark night of the soul if you want to
call it this breaking
um that had to happen where i now had to
make a choice if i wanted to be
love not just do love or act love if i
wanted to become
love and uh that that was the next step
of my process
and would that would be from coming out
of which most of us
and i think there's a lot of people
listening as we you know ours they
you know resonate with me resonate with
you because our stories mirror theirs
and we're vocalizing
what a lot of them are going through
right now right that's why you hire a
coach listen i've
i've been through it i can show you how
to get out a lot quicker it's going to
take
a lot longer if you do it by yourself
you you can you will
maybe but you know w we're articulating
what people are going through right now
and you made it through
so was it like the judgment
of christianity of uh
exclusion of performance based
because the church is going through this
awakening right now
and uh you know they're moving into the
i am the sonship
the you know the love of god and uh you
know
uh not just love but radical love
radical acceptance for for
for all people really um and it's
shaking
people up because they were told to like
you know god don't love those people
over there
those those are your friends this is our
church but god doesn't like those people
we don't talk to those people and you're
like
you know that's christianity in a
nutshell you know at least at least that
part
was that what you you know had to deal
with and it was like just open like hold
on
god loves everyone and i do too
you know and it's okay yeah that was
that was
the big part of this is that this book
you know we call this book the bible
when you read this book without the
heartbeat of god
it's dead it is it cannot produce any
life
and so there are people that know the
scripture back back and forth they
memorized it they know it all but
there is no heartbeat there is no
heartbeat of the father in there so when
all this was going on for me i knew
all my relationships are changing when i
asked this question
i am now getting pushed out a little bit
and there is that it's
fear really and everyone that's
listening to us right now and you've
been through this journey this is what
it is it's fear
it's the fear of what you know and have
always known
in all these relationships that you're
only connected
your equity with these people is
transactional
or it is doctrinal it is not relational
you know i talk about equity
relationships and these transactional
relationships well i come to church on
sunday
and that's why we're friends or i
believe the same things that you believe
in that's why we're friends now have you
been have you been reading marcus
aurelius
no i haven't okay well he breaks that
down we were just talking about that
yeah but keep going keep going
wow now heaven so for me i was always
under the impression that we are called
to have
relational equity we're called to build
that i choose you you choose me
we don't agree on everything we don't
see eye to eye on everything but that's
what family is
and that's the funniest part is that you
have people that say you know family and
then church family and we separate this
yeah our church family
i love you in the lord that's why yeah i
love you in the lord
like it comes with this caveat you know
and um
i love you but i don't like you and we
start creating all these little
streams to make us feel safe to protect
ourselves
and so there was that fear 100 of i am
no longer
going to be accepted like i was just a
while ago
but then the other fear was i needed
someone's permission and this is
something we get
subconsciously trained in church and
school
we are always needing an external
authority to give us permission to step
into things
right from when you're a kid when you're
getting disciplined by your parents or
you're getting disciplined
in school there is this permission you
got to ask permission you want to go to
the toilet you got to ask permission
then you come into church you get to ask
permission you want to oh i feel i'm
going to sing the song no
you got to ask permission and so every
person when i'm coaching people this is
something we always deal with
they're seeking this permission but it's
like the subtle
thing in them like man who's gonna
validate or affirm what i'm about to
start
you know what i'm about to do like you
imagine from a traditional chat setting
if you're like hey
you know i'm gonna start this podcast
i'm gonna have all kinds of people come
on there
we're gonna talk about all the stuff man
i can just imagine
the the the carnage that would have come
well like you said like you said i'm
glad i didn't tell nobody when i was
going through it like there was no way i
could tell
you know i already knew you know i
couldn't ask for permission i had to ask
for
uh what is it don't ask for permission
ask for uh forgiveness forgiveness there
you go
yeah yeah man and so even now i
i deal with people 50 60 70 years old
yeah
no from when they were teenagers there
was something in there
but they never got that permission that
they were looking for from outside
so i began that for me of like god are
you
are you signing this off because if
you're signing this off and i know that
then i don't care about anyone else yeah
i don't need anybody else to sign this
off you know and
he took me through a bit of a journey i
ended up traveling overseas nine times
in a year and a half
on business on a ministry trip i ended
up going with a mentor of mine and
all these experiences just started to
help me move into what i'm doing now you
know
that's awesome um it's uh
you know i identity is what it is and
i think we're hearing a lot more or or
overseeing
we've been hearing about identity for
years but we're seeing a new a new level
of it of
the identity that we are the beloved
that we are our sons and daughters
versus beggars you know or or
uh or drug addicts or prostitutes or
lepers
he's a leopard you can't talk to the
lepers and then we see jesus we're
getting this revelation of what jesus he
said no
i'm going to hang out with the lepers
and i'm going to touch them i'm going to
touch the people you told you're
like society the world tells you to stay
away from
and it's like society and the church
tells you to stay away from i'm going to
go with the wine bibbers i'm going to go
with the tax collectors
and i'm going to go hang out with the
lepers you know that and you guys say if
you touch them it's going to rub off on
you stay away
that's who jesus was with the whole time
but the church is
you know we've built this structure and
it's like us foreign no more and it's in
this box and
we lost god when we did that you know we
lost try to house a revival and
god is always moving you know throughout
the scriptures the spirit is moving and
and even the word walking in the in in
the spirit the
the greek word comes from uh like
marching
it's marching left right left right it's
always moving it's never
pitch our tent and stay stagnant yeah
maybe for a weekend but you got to get
ready to go because we
the lord is doing a new thing and so um
to be able to house a move of god it's
you are that house if god's
living in a house or stationary it's
inside of you and you're led by the
spirit
led by the breath and always moving and
people are getting it now
if people are getting it if you start a
if you want to do something with the
lepers it better be
start a lip lipper ministry you know
you can't go oh one weekend with the
lepers one here with the wine rivers one
there
who you gave you this permission you
know all these kind of things yeah i get
them in
it's crazy the leopard ministry yeah but
you know if we come back to what you're
saying about the identity
and this is a framework that i operate
in here like not a formula but a
framework
purpose equals i am purpose is i am
it's not what i do it's who i am and the
i am identity assignment maturity
as people start to understand these
three words it's so much
fun to engage this journey and that's
something i had to learn
you know one of the mistakes people do
when it comes to a purpose is
they firstly they think it's on the
outside it's something they're going to
have to do
and figure out when really it's always
been in them since the foundation of the
world
but it's usually been in them in seed
form and it requires some nurturing and
watering and intention
so when you are in conflict with a
system that's not going to allow the
nurturing
the watering then that seed now is laid
dormant for all these years and so i
encourage people to explore
explore and then engage you know these
are two important words and everything i
do explore and engage
even with things like podcasts we've had
people launch podcasts and
i say to them you explore the idea of a
podcast and after three episodes you
might decide this is not for you
stop there are no rules keep moving
keep pivoting but if you never start if
you never move you will never know
yeah and many many people are stuck in
the i want to know the whole thing
i want to see the whole thing before i
take my first step and it's just not
going to happen that way
yeah and it's one of those things what
we uh say you have a
you'll be naturally drawn to these
things and titles and
and uh roles like even you you know you
would hear like he
prophet preacher teacher evangelist like
you're gonna have we
we we said you have a function for the
function as you'll
naturally be be
be a prophet like it's going to come out
of it now you're going to learn you're
going to develop it but
if you're a teacher you're naturally
going to teach hey i found out how to do
this let me show you how
you know you have a function for the
function and it comes
out of you the thing with the podcast
yeah try it explore it see if it's for
you
i got a friend of mine he jokes around
don't take the serious but uh
test the spirits he says yeah man test
drives all the spirits
listen explore a little bit if it's for
you if it's not but
but if it's for you i'm not well this is
episode
418 you know of the podcast like you
can't
like it's for me you know what i'm
saying um
you're gonna naturally be drawn to and
do the things
that are a part of your purpose and
whatever is holding that down
suppressing it is what you're saying and
for most of us it has been religion this
is our background what we came from the
church you can't do that you can't look
like that
you can't be friends with them all of
these can'ts you know and so actually
getting out of that but but that sounds
crazy for us
even to to build that framework of hey
get out of your church leave your church
you know what if they're in a healthy
church environment what if they
what if their their purpose is to serve
in that church then they're going to be
thriving there right
this conversation would would have
different implications for them right
yeah so when you come back to this
framework i was just saying if i am
then i is for identity a is your
assignment and m is your maturity then
this identity is built in healthy
community and there could be
in a church that could be in a house
church they could be in a group that
could be online
whatever it is for your identity yes
you've got union with the trinity and
you're growing in that understanding
but you also need community you know um
and we all need that every person needs
that so that could happen in your
in your church and if you're blessed
enough to have a place
that will let you be you for real that's
awesome yeah you know but from there
there has to be an assignment that you
are engaging
jesus walked the earth he came as a son
of god but he operated in his assignment
as savior of the world you know he came
to fulfill an assignment he didn't just
come to
ex have an experience there was purpose
behind it
and everything that god does has purpose
original intent
there is original intent behind
everything and so
when you can embrace your identity and
engage your assignment
your maturity is truly revealed like to
give you an example
you know and i'll use two quick examples
here one is david
and i've used this many times before but
david in the bible he's like
looking after someone else's sheep you
know and he knows god he's playing the
harp he's enjoying union with god
but he's also engaging a current
assignment in front of him which looked
like looking after someone else's sheep
and now while he's doing that his
maturity is being revealed
and what is maturity maturity is
carrying the nature of our creator
carrying the nature of our father
a lot of times in pentecostal circles
maturity is
having the gifting or having an
appearance or having a
big ministry or whatever you want to
call it but true maturity is
when when someone sees you can they see
the father when they engage you
do they engage the father you know and
so
that maturity of david is being revealed
in the fact that a bear is coming to
kill these sheep
and he steps in the gap and now he's
going to protect his sheep you know
and he's so to the current level he
understood his identity he engaged in
assignment
his maturity was revealed and after
killing the bear
of course he feels stronger in his
identity of course he knows man
i got this there is more god is in me
you know and you watch that cycle
go from glory to glory as he then kills
lion and then kills a giant he's
constantly evolving
in that and so every person has a
current assignment
whatever wherever you are at to the
level you understand
god there is an assignment and sadly we
compare assignments that we
compare impact and we compare influence
and we shut down
our seed but if you are willing to
engage your current assignment whatever
that looks like whether that's ushering
in a church
cleaning toilets in the church preaching
in church or leaving the church starting
a podcast
whatever it looks like that is the only
thing that is going to take you forward
in the maturing of this purpose seed
that's good that's it man that's good um
yeah just find yeah if you're thriving
man you know we
you've heard these quotes we share them
all the time you know go where you're
celebrated go where you're appreciated
not just where you're tolerated
and a lot of people feel like they're
just another face or another name in the
crowd you know
that that you know nobody sees the
potential in them unless they have a
gift unless they can play the guitar
unless they can play drums or unless
they can sing then hey we can use you
but
if you can't do nothing that you know
and if you
step down and say hey i don't i don't
feel called to play the guitar
you become one of the other people we've
seen it time and time again
um but yeah go and go into a place where
where you
you can thrive man there are those
places there's
a place where you belong i had a friend
of mine it's
been a couple years now but uh he was
going through a lot of the spiritual
awakening with me
christian brother local here with me and
um
a lot of the same views a lot of the
same experiences and um
i was the only one who was vocal about
my experiences they kind of kept it
hush-hush because
you know their boss would find out their
wife was a professional
and you know they might lose their job
and just weird stuff you know
and they started going to church again
and uh two friends of mine
and they were like truth man why you
ain't coming to church with us man i'm
like
look i'm trying to come to church with
y'all i just i don't really
you know you know a lot of people know
me my reputation
precedes me i step into the church they
say oh this
you got this guy here or whatever

so it's weird stuff like that that's
what they'll say
but um anyway they're begging me to come
to church and um
i actually got up early one sunday
morning i was like you know i'm gonna
come i'm gonna come visit with y'all
i woke up and they wouldn't answer the
phone i didn't know the address and they
didn't go
so they called me the next week and was
like hey you going to come it's like man
i don't know
and he the guy said he's a good friend
of mine but he said uh
i think i think the devil's trying to
keep you out of church true seeker
i think it's the devil keeping you out
of church i said i tried to call y'all
last week
i wanted to come he said no something
keeping you from coming man i said no i
wanted to come
and say hold on man you can't even be
yourself at this church
the guy was working on the album uh
very similar to what i do he was kind of
like a protege like talking about ufos
aliens mushrooms angels spiritual
kundalini breath work he's talk all of
that in his music
i said if if those people catch wind
you visiting at this church talking
about you're among brothers if they
catch
wind that you're working on that album
it's off with your head they're gonna
cut your head off you're dead
so you can be there as long as they
don't know about this project you're
working on you're about to release this
album which is a part of you
you can't be yourself you have to kind
of like keep to yourself and it's like
when it comes to religion i know we go
to jobs and do that we
you know there's relationships we're not
like you know trying to
convert people or tell them about the
deep secrets of heaven or something
right there's
you know here a little there a little
but uh when it comes to like
fellowshipping and and being
like where you're getting fed
spiritually you got to be able to be
yourself
because if not you got to be somebody
else but that's what they tell you
you're not you
you're jesus you got to be jesus you
can't be joseph
you can't do that you can't you have to
stay with us because
you got to be jesus and stuff you know
and then the jesus is a version of him
not
your expression you know and there's so
many unique expressions we're all an
expression of god so jesus and all of us
look so different
yeah and uh but yeah i mean we're coming
back to this thing
let me ask you this now do you see jesus
in
the place you came from like for those
people on their journey
can you now appreciate their journey of
i would say maybe street preachers or
hellfire brimstone
like hell you're gonna die like can you
is there i have appreciation for those
people now
yeah because they're you know they're
being honest to their
their truth and what they believe like
they believe that we're going to hell
because we left the church or whatever
you know what i'm saying and
they should tell us thank you you know
that kind of thing so i have this
appreciation for
people who even though it's a if i think
it's a delusion or if it's not true
they're still honoring that delusion you
know
yeah i think it's easy to forget that is
on a journey
wherever you are at we when i was coming
out of this
one of the most important things at the
beginning for me
was when i keep feeling the spirit and
feeling father and jesus talking about
will you still love them can you still
love them
can you still love this guy can you
still love this lady yeah i know you
know what they did but can you
and you can't fake that like it takes
time
and it's rough and it's painful you know
i had a few people that i'd been pouring
my life into
for six seven years and a few things
went down within that whole time frame
and it was like you know getting stabbed
in the chest
like you can't get stabbed in the chest
by a stranger you know you get
backstabbed
but to get stabbed in the chest there's
proximity you know
and um that was rough and so many times
i just want to be like well i'm done i'm
out of here
let me cut this relationship and i would
feel
father just being like what would a
father do what would a father do and
that's where the choice you know you
make this choice of
yeah okay i'm moving into this i'm
moving into this and so
you your purpose right your ultimate
purpose for every person in here is to
carry the nature the likeness you were
created for that
um if i go back to Romans 8 29 you were
predestined to be conformed into that
image that likeness
that is original intent that you would
be pure love
you would be hemp on the earth you would
carry that nature so you can't skip this
stuff that we're talking about right now
you know
and um only in the midst of hate can you
really express
love only in the darkest place can you
really shine a light you know only in
the midst of
real betrayal and pain can you now step
into true freedom and love so
uh dude i read i read this this morning
uh
Psalm 55 um
starting at 10. day and night they go
about
uh it upon the walls thereof mischief
also and sorrow
are in the midst of it wickedness is in
the midst of
deceit and gal depart not from her
streets
but it says for it was not an enemy that
reproached me
then i could have borne it it was the
enemy that did these things to me it'd
be okay
enemies do that right strangers do that
neither was it he that hated me
that did magnify himself against me then
i would have hid
myself from him but it was thou
a man my equal my guide and my
acquaintance
talking about his friends and the people
that he looked up to
like this is something we got it's a
veil you gotta pass through man
you know better like this is your
journey it's in here
it maps it out and like i read that this
morning david
just talking about his friends and his
his his pastors you know what i'm his
old the people who taught him
you know um there was something i
remember you saying it's gotta look
different right it's gotta look
different it's gotta look different
we've heard people for years talk about
this move of god that was coming or
when you finally step into your destiny
listen people aren't going to agree with
you
they're going to think you're crazy
they're going to think you're a heretic
when god tells you to step
out you have to follow god's voice and
and revival will come and you know they
kind of you know hit you with that
with that um that message and and it
bears witness yeah
we're gonna do great things for god and
then it happens
god calls you to do that thing to step
out
and the pastor told you listen they're
gonna you're gonna be hated people
aren't gonna understand you they're
gonna think you're crazy
and then it happens and even the people
who preach those messages you think that
they would identify it
that's who we were talking about we were
waiting on your generation
they're like no no no you guys missed it
that's not what we were talking about
it's like what
this is it the very thing that you guys
were prophesying come to pass
and you didn't even see it i feel like
that
happened all throughout the scriptures
anyway right they're like this there's
something coming
oh not that that's not it you know yeah
happened with jesus man they were
waiting for him and he was right there
not him
we said a messiah figure not this guy
he's a carpenter yeah man
but it is really good to see more and
more people now stepping
stepping into that you know one of the
most amazing things about as you keep
choosing purpose because purpose is
something you need to choose it's like a
marriage that you choose your wife on a
daily
you choose your purpose on a daily at
any moment you can walk away
but the beautiful thing about entangling
with your purpose is that
any person or anything or any entity
that's coming to do
anything even anything opposite or
you know like betrayal or pain whatever
it all comes into purpose and now
suddenly
you can have a judas who set this whole
thing up and realizes he was just a pawn
in the whole thing
because purpose pulls everything in
to achieve the ultimate version of it
you know yeah
so whatever betrayal people have been
through whatever rejection whatever
church you were kicked out of it's all
serving this as you align with purpose
it all starts to serve that
and it becomes the very catalyst even in
the the book of esther
without haman however you want to say it
he launched the whole thing man
he came from the opposite side but
launched the whole thing so
sometimes the thing that's coming
against us is actually the very thing
when you align into purpose that's going
to launch you you know for me
i would have never left that church i
would have never left that way
if the drama didn't happen honestly i
would have never i would have been happy
just submitting
shutting down my expression making it
look good
you know and so the worst season of my
life became the greatest season of my
life
because it set everything up yeah
that's good man um so
now we talk about purpose and all this
is tied in part of your purpose part of
your your spirituality and stuff is
you know you're on a true secret podcast
we got to talk about the mystical man we
got to talk about
intimacy we got to talk about that kind
of stuff like
um i don't know how i've never really
heard many of your experiences or or
people that you
you know now there's like mystics or a
dime a dozen
you know christian mystics or or outside
of christianity or some beautiful people
who
who are teaching some beautiful stuff um
what
what like as far as faith and the
supernatural
and leaders and and stuff like that who
like what streams did you come from and
what
experiences like have you had that that
really
show you how big you know this creator
guide is
yeah i mean so if i go right back to my
first experience of where i first
encountered them in their church like
i'm
i'm drunk then i'm sober and i'm like
what the heck is this it's freaking me
out
i started to see my whole childhood
flash in front of me so when i was a kid
i got taken to
sunday school and vacation bible school
in india like
all these religious places and i started
to
see that he was with me the whole time
and i still remember in the first month
him inviting me
into a relationship of love and i want
to say this because without this man
this whole thing is
it's it's too hard oh it makes no sense
right like
i started to weep and i would feel this
love come on me
in my bedroom and i would be like no no
no
don't you know what i did and i'm
rattling off all my sins and all my
issues and
giving god these reasons of why i don't
deserve this
love and it was like a one month
encounter at night and in the morning
sometimes in the afternoon i would just
begin weeping and if i'd listen to any
christian song like even like these old
hillsong songs anything
i'd just start weeping like oh my gosh
like what is this what is this
somewhere in there i gave in to that
love and i had no english language for
it i had no terminology for it i just
knew that this thing was washing me
and purifying me that's the only way i
could say it
and um so that began this thing of man
like this
is real you know and i still remember in
the church settings i
i was a guest at this other church and
there was a
demon like an entity getting cast out it
was the first time i'd seen anything
like that
and this girl is like she's speaking to
us like
help me help me and then she would turn
her head and the
thing was like mavis is mine
i was freaked out because i was like
i've seen this in movies i had no
concept this is real
what the heck and then what happened is
they called my pastor and he like
says some things on the speakerphone on
the phone over here
and he was like hey when you were 12 you
were abused by a male figure i think
it's your uncle your dad
you need to forgive that person and she
forgives him then she spat out this like
weird color spit like
so i'm watching these supernatural
things going what the heck is this
nobody ever told me this was real
i couldn't sleep that night you know
because she came back and she was
smiling
and she looked us in the face and
introduced herself to us but we were
praying with her for 30 minutes that
whole time
it was like she didn't even remember the
whole night and so
um i remember going home and i didn't
sleep till probably four in the morning
because i was like
this is real so if this is real then
this is also real
and if this is all real why isn't
anybody talking about it or
demonstrating it or showing it
and that was the early stages of there
is so much more going on here
wow but then i you know i'm in church
circles so i'm only looking at church
style people and uh but i still found
people that were
maybe on the fringes you know like uh
joshua mills who would have all this
goldust show up and talk about this
angel
like he was in new zealand and he was in
the hotel room really tired and he
turned around there's an angel there
and he'd brought him gold leaves for him
and his wife and they ate it and they
had supernatural energy
i was like what the heck he talked about
another angel showing up with his
ball of uh energy and was just like both
onto him and i'd listen to guys like
that um david hogan obviously had a lot
of crazy stories
yeah his car and his dog and his horse
and
being dead three times coming back to
life raising the dead
which doctor bobby connor yeah witch
doctors
all of that and then bobby connor bobby
connor i believe probably has had so
many experiences that he'll never share
in public you know
he's only recently even shared the
experience of speaking a squirrel into
being
he shared that on a podcast where he
spoke a squirrel into being
and also where his dog came up to him
and this happened twice where his dog
spoke in english to him
and said you are like god to me and
walked away
and bobby connor is like an ex-baptist
minister yeah he
used to come to the circus like you know
i'm saying right when i got born again
and and i got born again in 98 we used
to go to the school of the spirit
and here in mobile and they would i mean
this is early days of the
morning star prophetic ministry 1998
2000 2001 and the prophets would just
cut
like a tour they would come and they
would stop here and these people that
nobody knew about we didn't have the
internet you know
and these people who just moved in the
prophetic and bobby connor was one who
who came a good bit and i got to hear
him right when i got born again like i
was in that
that movement and it was like the next
level because i come out of you know
hardcore witchcraft and stuff and they
had power
and the christians just prayed and hoped
something happened
please make it happen god but the
witches can move in power and move
wind and summon entities out of nowhere
you know but we we just hope we hope and
pray brother you know and that's not the
that's not the case by any means we were
lied to
and uh but the prophetic would introduce
you into a deeper realm
of intimacy with god and that all things
truly were
uh possible and bobby connor was one
that we used to go see
back in the day and he he
had some amazing crazy stories of
uh writing books and these angels would
show up watching over him looking at
what he's reading
it was normal to him you know but i
never heard other people talk about it
like him
probably bobby connor david hogan and
then obviously bob jones
i mean bob jones is one of the crazy
guys you know like
the stories of his life at this funeral
a lot of them shared some of those
stories they're pretty crazy
so all of this began my own hunt of
there is way more than even what we're
thinking about and the church that i was
in we saw a lot of supernatural stuff
especially during like the worship and
the music
we saw you know like jewels falling and
gold dust and angel feathers
and supernatural things happening it was
all going on at that time
so all of these things kind of drew me
in
and i think being indian like having an
indian origin
there was a mystic in here you know like
and i know we're all mystical but
there is more of a desire for me i think
it's because of some of my heritage also
you know
and so yeah i think yeah i think it's in
our dna i'm i'm a native american and i
really i still do resonate with a lot of
you know burning sage and and you know
fellowship with the
uh you know the spirits of the the
elements and uh
and uh or um origin stories and the star
people like i
that's that's in me you know and that's
the thing like you're talking about like
it's in your dna but but you know
and god put it there right it's an
origin story it's a spiritual
spirituality and
when it was coming at me i know you
talked about like trying to go back and
forth we call it the pendulum process of
like
i'm in this okay now i'm i'm researching
communing with the ancestors nope nope
that's demonic
that's uh necromancy i gotta get out of
nowhere but then like you
you got this deep calling out to you
like
the voice of god no look into it and
he's showing you
examples he's showing you things in the
scripture
okay i'm gonna study it a little bit no
no no don't do because it's the pendulum
of like we've been taught
to stay away from anything that looks
like that you know again the witches
have
all the power we that that's a warlock
only warlocks do that
you know or or whatever and you find out
like no jesus did it
paul did it peter did it the prophets
did it and the early church did it like
i want to do
it you know like come on like that's the
christianity that that's
that that's real and but people feel
like
you know they're going against their own
conscience
which they are because god deals with
our conscience and you have to be
obedient
to your gut to feeling gut they say
god is the skin the scandinavian word
for god your god
feeling that instinct you know your
intuition
that god in the holy spirit communicates
to you through when
when we say the holy spirit told me you
know we like to over
over spirit your intuition told you
because we have two different people in
their intuition telling them two
different
things but they'll swear up and down
that it was god that's how christians
talk
you know and they both could be right
but their intuition their god
feeling is telling them something and we
got to learn to be obedient to that that
is being
you know we thought we call it grieving
the holy spirit the holy spirit communes
with
with us through our senses you know and
we've been told that our senses are evil
that our senses are dull
and these kind of things but we
definitely are in a
revival of the ancient ways of uh of
looking into
where we came from and and and redeeming
it if you will because it was probably
never
never demonic as they told us to begin
with
well you know and just even this here so
let's say this so
you're obviously way deeper in this
stuff
and some of the stuff than i am you know
and i'm not against any of it
i'm just like we're on our own journey
and uh everything that you say causes me
to different parts of it to
look into and to step into or to explore
and engage and i think one of the
problems that happens is
we are constantly looking for right and
wrong right and wrong right and wrong
this is right there's from this right
that's wrong and we are determining that
and that ends up shutting so much of
his expression you know shutting it down
yeah but it's part of the journey you
know the hero's journey and you gotta
you know recapturing the dream
if it's real it would it's not gonna
leave you though that's the thing so
like if it's god's calling you to that
it's not just gonna go away
you're not gonna fast it out trust me we
tried
you know it doesn't work that way you're
not going to pray you're not going to
fast it away
if it's god calling you to do it but the
the problem is is that it doesn't
look like what we were told it's
supposed to look like or
because nobody's operating in it you
know but i
think that they were at some point like
the the ancient
mystics and early christians they you
know some of the most spiritual people
that ever walked the face of the planet
and we gave that away you know so to to
recapture that and to maybe look at
their lives and look at some of the
early texts
and there's some interesting stuff in
there and not even getting outside of
the bible like
it's something about a realm of of
understanding
of of awareness or consciousness if you
will that
you're not going to be able to see it
because we're we're all reading the same
text
right yep and uh that's right and
corinthians says that
if you're not illuminated with the light
if that light within you is dull and
you're not illuminated you're not going
to understand this text
you're going to read it like a history
book you're going to be out there trying
to find noah's ark
on an excavation trip and you're not
going to be able to find the ark of the
covenant
that is hitting hidden within you that
you are a carrier
of god's presence and god's glory and so
we
we start looking at it like that and uh
things start to make more sense the more
that we dig and
and find that you know that book is
talking about us but um
we read over text and we just don't get
it until we watch a movie until we read
a book
until our friends try to kill us
so everyone slanders us and gossips
about us and then we've
we feel a little bit more like christ
because his friends did it to him
and we said oh that's how he felt when
peter betrayed him
and peter swore up and down that he
would never do that
man i'm loyal to the day that you died
no you're going to betray me i know you
are
it's in you you ain't you know but it's
okay i still love
yeah we gotta go through this stuff but
once you go through it then when you
read it it has different meaning to you
then the next time the first time you
read it you skipped over it next time
you
you read it you're weeping yeah cause
it's telling your story
yeah and there's so many stories in the
bible that we have read and learned in
sunday school and we skip over
because we think we know that yeah yeah
40 days 40 nights in the ark when really
it's not even there
or even um this real interesting thing
about jesus is hiding himself in the
temple you know when they came to grab
him
and the bible was like he hid himself in
the temple
it's almost like someone put in the
comments here selective mindsets and i
think that's totally true like
you just we we get compartmentalized
into
boom so you can't even ask hey what does
that scripture mean to you do you think
jesus ran and hid behind that pillar and
they were all watching him hide behind
that pillar and
they couldn't kill him like what do you
think happened it's almost like well let
me not acknowledge it because if i do
now i have to walk into this realm that
i have no control of
and i don't understand and i don't want
to go there you know
it's too much responsibility yeah
because i think there is a level
uh you know and it shouldn't come from
the outside it comes from within
not to beat yourself up but there is a
level of integrity
that once you elevate yourself to that
level
you have to walk in you have to
and i know this is opening up a big can
of worms but but this is something that
i talk about where
many people honor the kundalini
with a reverence and with the fear and
don't awaken the kundalini because it'll
drive you mad
it'll make you crazy it will it'll do
things to your body and
you it'll it'll harm you you'll become a
mental patient
if you don't balance that energy
and so for me from in my perspective is
that those two are one and the same
right the
kundalini holy spirit chi tachyon
pranayama it's all the same
so people have a reverence and a fear
of the of the kundalini but they don't
have no fear when it comes to the holy
spirit once that energy is released in
your life
and your your into intuition's
heightened and all of this stuff is
flowing and you're seeing in realms that
you've never seen before
it's through the enlightenment of the
holy spirit being baptized with the fire
of the holy spirit
there comes a level of integrity that
you must walk in and that's where many
people
fall into detriment and they have mental
issues and they
you god told me to leave my wife god
told me my kids
don't aren't really my kids anymore it's
weird stuff
weird stuff and in your opinion in your
opinion why does that happen like why do
they
what is the way that they can make sure
they don't go down their path
the way that they don't they don't go
you have to you have
it has to be an honor it can never
become it has to be holy it has to be
sacred
it's the holy the word holy spirit is
not his name we call them holy ghosts
get them holy ghost
that's not his name it's just it's it's
a spirit
ghost or spirit that is sacred it is a
you must respect it you must nurture it
you must fellowship
we should never step into it
nonchalantly like we have in
in you know the charismatic world again
people have more reverence
for the kundalini than they do
quote-unquote holy spirit
i get i bet you i know two people who
who have a new reverence for the holy
spirit now
ananias and sapphira i bet you they have
a a reverence for you know lying to the
holy spirit and
um you can't put your hand to the plow
and look back
you have to you you know you can't be
like lot's wife and look back
you know then jesus told us this be
careful
like you know this is this is this is
sacred man
and uh and i think we need to continue
to approach it that way but it's hard
because
western christianity eastern you know
you
you know it comes it's sacred all of
this is holy it's set apart man
and we've lost that reverence
i get it i agree and um it is pretty
crazy when you
mention some of what you just said you
know we we don't we just think of it as
a
an activity and yeah power
that you can just throw around knock
them down or
you know it's um or even looking at it
just like a friend you know
just like a person right it's the person
of the trinity it's the third person
so so there isn't this this inner work
because
he loves you regardless if you're taking
care of your life or your diet
or your finances or you're lying to
people no there's there's a level
that once you unlock you have to walk in
it and and once you're obedient and you
pass the test that are at that level you
know this like i know this
then you unlock new levels god
trusts you with more he shows you more
secrets he shows you
uh you start to get it like you know you
you just unlock realms that were there
the whole
it's a dimension uh that you weren't
privy to
because you you had pride you had greed
you
he couldn't trust you with it but once
he can trust you with the few
he'll make you ruler over more so we
have to trust worthy stewards of god's
glory and his presence
yeah and i guess that's where i'm
talking about this framework of glory to
glory and the identity assignment the
maturities where
you start to realize i do have greed or
i do get my validation from people or
i'm looking for
fame or i'm looking for this and that
and that maturity takes you into the
next cycle like you'd call it next level
opens a new door and um you can't skip
that
you know because who you are becoming is
more important
than what you're doing you know and uh
so
when we if we bring this back to this
purpose conversation so many people
don't engage what's in front of them you
know we are
we are waiting for some kind of magical
permission like we just talked about
or we are looking for a tree
instead of just nurturing the seed in
front and boom i'm gonna do truth seeker
episode one
now you know i don't know if i'm getting
to 418 i don't know what doors are going
to open
but i'm doing it now and um that's kind
of the main thing i would encourage
people is to take that step and move you
know
it starts with one starts at one now um
now what about um can we talk about
finances finances is strange
and even for me you know because um we
got to keep the lights on
and we're doing spiritual work and you
know
we don't have a lot of you know uh
youtube isn't paying as much anymore
people aren't donating as much and what
do we do you know
like uh it's it's you got to separate it
though because it it'll taint you like
you know what i'm saying you're like
okay we got to do what the people want
to hear and what can we do to make money
and
that's a part of it this is what we're
in this right it takes
energy and and uh you know to keep the
lights on
and for you to do this and things cost
and and lights and cameras and things
that we were talking about
all this the internet cost to keep going
um
but money comes into the play we were
worn from genesis to revelation
to be careful when it comes to to money
because you cannot
serve god and money so how do we keep
our hands clean
and our heart pure and i say how do we
how do how how have you
continued to do that and and keep the
main focus you know what i'm saying
yeah this this subject is so uh
contradict
controversial like i did approach on
prosperity and some people like god
doesn't want you to prosper
i'm like does he want to curse you
what's the deal you know you know the
answer is no god doesn't want you to
prosper
that's the answer whatever you project
that god wants
his pr he says yes and amen yeah
i believe both for sure i i dude i was a
poverty dude like i preached poverty
like i could show you all the scriptures
that god wants you to be
poor literally there's a bunch of them
but then on the other side there's
probably even more that say
you know i want to you know i own i'm
going to take care of you
that's what it says really well it's
really interesting i mean i obviously
can't go so deep into it but you can't
serve god and
mammon that word mammon there is
everything that
we think money is going to bring us you
know we've turned
money into something that's actually it
has
it's it's just a transference of value
in this realm
if i can bring value then i get
compensated for that value whatever that
looks like you know
but it actually has no morals or ethics
of its own
but mammon mammon and what it carries
with the influence and the glory and the
fame and the different things that
affirm me in this realm that is a direct
enemy to god
and sadly we've just we've made money
the issue when actually
money is money has nothing to do with it
it is
it's the the desires in a in a person
and they're seeking
to be validated and affirmed in this
realm by all kinds of things you know
so to me this money conversation was a
big one and actually
in my first five years so i have the
spiritual experience and
now i'm like i became like an evangelist
i was hardcore like
boom boom and then he's real he's real
like he said here you know like
and i used to go door-to-door selling
cable tv so my pastor would be like hey
Mark 16
17 lay hands you know and they'll
recover so i'm like okay let's see if
this thing works and
i'm casting demons out of people in
their front yard seeing people get
healed seeing people get born again
i was full on but about five six years
in the journey i started asking the lord
these
questions of why pastors always broke
because i started to see that around so
much
why am i getting phone calls from
university students who want me to
fund their mission trip i would love
them to fund my business trip i want to
go on a mission trip like
why are you asking me for money every
week like and i was like god why are we
poor like it seems like christians are
poor
but they they say scriptures like you
own the the cattle on a thousand hills
and yeah
so it started to mess with me and that
was where understanding the kingdom and
what the kingdom really is and what
jesus
really bought which was not christianity
it was not a religion he brought a new
kingdom
and he lived from that kingdom that
kingdom doesn't
it doesn't acknowledge death it doesn't
acknowledge lack
anywhere it goes and then i started to
see jesus's life i'm like
man he never lacked when he was born all
these people came and brought him all
this
this wealth right there's a guy peter
daniels an australian guy who did
research on this
and it was like tens or hundreds of
millions in terms of the actual worth of
the gifts that were given to jesus as a
baby
that's how they survived the three years
without ever you know being in one spot
they didn't have to worry about finances
and then you see jesus growing up and
now he has a treasure in the form of
judas well what's judas looking after
if there's no treasure so obviously
there was some money there and
jesus was always giving money to people
you see that in the last supper where he
sends
judas out and the disciples just thought
judas was going to go give some money
again like he's always doing
you know and we know judas was stealing
money so if he's stealing money how much
money do they have to be for nobody to
know
if you got 20 bucks and i take 10 months
everybody's gonna know
and we already know the disciples
weren't shy to talk about it and fight
about it
yeah they had to grab judas one of them
would addict him
so how much money were jesus walking in
but he lived in another system where
this guy comes and asks him for tax and
he's like go find it in the fish's mouth
this guy's like what are we going to
feed them
he already knew these people were going
to come but he didn't bring
supplies from this realm you know and
and so that's where i think
learning how to live and live in that
provision of everything so i didn't i
had to learn not to separate my finances
i had to learn that
um everything that i am i am and so that
realm
sustains it all and so that began the
journey for me
of getting out of this thought pattern
of
finances and like how they work and
they're separate from god where i need a
big or i need to
work this world system to have finances
but then i work that system
for life actually when you come into the
kingdom man it's
boom like uh you know like i'm trying to
think of which
examples to give you but for me as that
journey began
um i started a lot of things made sense
for me of how people use scripture and
use
tireds and use offerings to to think
they're going to get wealthy
really the same authority the same
responsibility that you were talking
about right now of
if somebody betrays you and if somebody
hurts you and you learn and you mature
inside you actually the power that money
holds inside us
we've been ingrained since we were born
in this realm
we're taught all the time what my
parents said about money what i saw
about money what i read about money what
the news told me about
i'm constantly and so i have all these
subconscious beliefs
right that i'm living from concerning
money and i bring those beliefs to an
unlimited god
and i'm trying to get him to fit my
little box
and that's where i see so many people
have these issues so for me
god started to break the power that
money had over
me right i was a very selfish guy all
the way through to when i got born again
i started learning generosity
i started to learn generosity as a good
character trait then i learnt it as part
of identity
then i learned it as as a king you know
as a king being generous
and um i still remember where one day
i felt spirit tell me to take my mom on
her birthday and buy her
at this real expensive place buy some
clothes and i still remember holding my
card and looking at the price and she
just bought like this top
and a skirt and it was like over a
thousand bucks
and i was like this is the stupidest
purchase that i could ever make like a
top and a skirt for a thousand
but actually what was happening there
was the power of
finances and this realm was getting
broken off me
wiped it you know that's it yeah what
happens in religious circles like so
people have these testimonies like oh i
was in a church and
god told me to give all i had so i gave
all i had and then i was blessed
actually it has nothing to do with
action transaction yeah it has
everything
to do with where the money had power in
my
heart which he wanted to display 100
right you know
yeah because because you know because
like in those assemblies of gods and
churches that i came up in they always
bring out the testimony
we started tithing and then we got a
check for
5 000. we started tithing god gave us a
car out of nowhere
we started to tie tithing my god we got
a raise at work out of nowhere right
you hear these these stories and and
they try to tell you it's because they
tithe
well the power is in this 10 if we give
god the first fruits and honor him with
the 10
he'll bless us if we don't he'll curse
us
you know they you know i don't yep
cursing and blessing but then if
you know once you start understanding it
you start studying it
it's like the tithe was a big one for me
and it's a big one for a lot of people
that that breaks
the religious curse that's on people and
they find out that hold on
those curses that people were speak that
were being
spoke upon that if you don't give this
money
i'm gonna curse you that's what that was
to the levite priest that
is literally addressed to them and every
time it mentions it
it addresses those people so why is the
pastor reading this curse to me
today two thousand three thousand years
later you're reading this curse like
it's talking to me but it's talking
about a priest who who lived off of this
who was
was stealing like that's weird once you
find that out
but then it comes okay if that's the
case what what about these people's
testimonies
what about these stories the stories are
true the stories are valid but it goes
right back to what you just said it
it wasn't that that money was just an
object
of their faith it was an object it was a
tangible object that
you know what i trust you god
i trust you with everything that i have
i'm gonna give it i'm gonna i'm gonna
i'm gonna give sacrificially
and and and this is just what it means
god we we honor you with our finances we
honor you with everything that we have
you don't have 10 of my money
everything that i have is yours because
it comes from you and when people find
that out
it's so freeing it's not to give and oh
we get to keep our money
no now you want to give more now you
want to give more now you want to pay
for random people's food at the
restaurant and not even tell them
you know just hey we got them boom a
young couple with a baby boom we got
them don't even look at me i'm not gonna
preach you the gospel or nothing we got
you you know because
the more we give the more comes back you
know it's better to
to uh you know those who so sparingly
shall also re reap sparingly there's
principles to this
and these principles are universal and
it works for the righteous and the
wicked
yeah and so that's how that's how i look
at it as you want to play in this game
then you got to get free in here and as
you get free in here you go deeper in
this thing
so for me when this happened there was a
time where
um i was at a service and i felt the
holy spirit be like empty your wallet i
was like i don't have money mobile i
never carry cash
i happen to have the 60 bucks that a
client gave me in cash
and i was like okay boom there's another
time where
i empty your wallet and i was like
there's no money in here
i open it and my dad had gifted me a new
wallet and he put
50 singaporean dollars in there for some
reason like random singaporean dollars
so i i put that in but every time i
would put that money i could feel like a
whip
going crack and the power that money had
over me in this realm was getting broken
was getting totally smashed now how now
how long did did that take though
because like at first
you know you got that fear and the doubt
like there has to be something that
that clicks you know because it's not
you know
so this is where all of this happened
together right on the church question
the kingdom
well there's a difference and i'm
dealing with all this stuff so
in in the beginning i was slower to move
the speed at which things happen in my
life
are purely dependent on my intention and
how willing i am to go
because from his end the promises are
yes
i get to say that amen i am the amen to
his promise you know and
and so for me when that began then i
went through this week where i
i was i have coffees with people you
know i meet people
and the lord is like hey the kingdom
pays for everything and i was like
that's great
and he's like yeah you you are the
kingdom the kingdom pays for everything
i'm like
you want me to pay for everything yeah
kingdom pays for everything
so that week i had all these meetings
and every meeting i i got it
i got it i got it and i remember walking
to the toilet and one of the meetings
going god what are you doing
what is this he's like the kingdom pays
for everything joseph kingdom doesn't
lack
and i remember that smacking money off
my back like
breaking its power and so then these
scriptures started to come alive
to me different scriptures like you know
even things like in Psalm 23 were like
surely goodness and mercy shall follow
me all the days of my life what does
that look like
that is every area that means money
actually
in this realm all the good things in
this realm are called
to just be added unto me to just chase
me they're actually here
for my benefit i'm called to rule over
these things
they're called to serve me yeah they and
and this is where just quick that i want
to touch us i mean
in Matthew 6 33 it says seek first the
kingdom and all these things shall be
added unto you
in the verses just before that he
actually
he actually describes what these things
are that will be added unto you and most
people don't talk about that
because he describes the needs of this
world
right and the needs of this world how
the world runs
uh not how christians think like the
world is not looking for
just uh five dollars extra in their bank
account or
a car that that you know is third hand
or
you know the world is not looking for
just a one bedroom house that can hold
10 people
or that kind of lifestyle and um
i think that Matthew 6 33 if you were to
read the verses preceding that
it will actually blow your mind if you
see what
the world is looking for and what jesus
says
will just be added unto you when you
seek the kingdom
and seeking your purpose and walking
with him is all part of this this
kingdom the expansion of this kingdom
you know
so i've seen a lot of people not have
finances because they've shut the door
they shut the door for it they put the
laws on it they put the rules on it
they put the regulations of well i don't
deserve to be blessed because i didn't
do abc or i don't da da da da and uh so
i believe all believers
are called to are called to
fund things are called to operate in the
ecosystem
jesus lived in abundance you know so i
have two friends i have one friend
who travels all around the world he does
all kinds of crazy things he pays for
other people
and at one time he never has more than
40 50 60 bucks in his bank account
and then i got this other guy who's
operating and looking after a portfolio
of 1 billion dollars
and he's looking after 32 companies but
they're both actually the same source
they don't need to see it looking a
certain way in this realm
they're operating from that place you
know and i think that is the key there
is learning how to step
into and live from abundance which is
his will for us
that's good man that's a journey
uh a lot of people are on you know
for me there was i seen it i seen it you
know the prosperity movement the first
way of like the nasty
like greed it comes there's agreed
there's there's a greed and then there's
this
this place of never having enough like
once you get the job promotion then you
want the next one once you get the
bentley then you got to have the 20 21
bentley
like it's you you're never satisfied
there's no contentment and the scripture
tells us godliness with contentment's
great gain
but the the the early version of
of what we've seen in the 90s and 2000s
and probably 80s as well
was you know this prosperity move
movement that was that was uh
this great it was a gospel of greed and
people could see it a mile away
um but it was big so that turned me off
to
you know this can't be the way man this
can't be the way these guys are
arrogant and pro and they're mean
you know and all they talk about is
money there's no gospel there's no
salvation there is no casting out of
demons there is no
how to you know everything seven keys to
financial freedom there is no
seven keys to you know staying staying
you know free of demons or something i
don't know but um
i you know i've seen that and and uh and
you know uh i went the opposite but and
so i started studying poverty man in the
scriptures and it was crazy
poor righteous teachers jesus was poor
and you know
you start telling yourself this and you
how hard is it for a rich man
you got all these programs running so i
got this and that and then
finally you know now just coming
full circle on you know enjoying
life and and providing and and
you know this place of of the kingdom is
growth and movement and there is no lack
and there is
so it was hard it was hard it was hard
for me
i got out of it i'm getting out of it
there's still programs that that run
there's still like
ways that where you you step into this
this this
freedom mentality and then you're back
into like scarcity and lack there'll be
something that happens and you got to
catch yourself oh wow hold on
like i'm living like there's not enough
when there's
more than enough for everybody and we
gotta understand that that that's
kingdom man
yeah and that's that's a practice
because right now your subconscious has
been trained by something else
you know neuroscience talks about you
live from your past 95 percent of how we
live is from our subconscious is from
our past
and even when we think about the future
it is our past that's framing the future
and it's actually it takes a lot of
practice to live in the now to live
outside of this place right
like you know but just to quickly touch
on this prosperity thing you talked
about
that's what happened is someone got
triggered when i wrote prosperity but
to me what we see where people say oh
prosperity teaching or prosperity
preachers to me that's not prosperity
that's
greed manipulative and it's lying but
you can't call that prosperous you know
you're gonna lie to get it yeah like
first john says
you know beloved i wish above all things
that you prosper
even as your salt like you'll be in good
health even as your soul prospers
so what you just said where you know
they they don't have enough they need
more their soul's not prospering
when i'm greedy and i'm manipulating my
soul is not prospering
most of these guys that's not prosperity
they have stuff and this is one of our
problems is we
in this world and this babylonian system
prosperity is what do you have
and what do you own but in in the
kingdom we know we don't own anything
we're stewards and and we govern things
we don't own anything here
like when you die you take nothing with
you right like well we're not dying
though so that's the new theology
so your treasure is somewhere else
your heart is somewhere else and now
you're just ruling and reigning in this
realm yeah and and i think we try and
balance this system
and trying to bring this system then
it's not going to match
you know another thing that i learned
was when i step into my purpose and as
i'm stepping into my assignments
it comes with favor because i am an
ambassador of this kingdom in this place
and my kingdom funds everything the
kingdom i belong to
right jesus's kingdom it funds
everything i'm doing because
i'm in the kingdom work it has to fund
it you know if i'm
from india and i come to new zealand and
set up an indian embassy
india has to fund everything india that
land
where i set up an embassy belongs to
india it doesn't belong to new zealand
wow and so here i am my house belongs to
heaven
i'm an ambassador i'm in the embassy of
heaven
heaven funds it all that means heaven
protects it
heaven provides for it even takes care
of it this is not my responsibility
you know there's a scripture that says
the king takes pleasure in the
prosperity of its people yeah
i'm his people he takes pleasure in my
prosperity
you know and then people go well you got
to be careful brother you know you got
to warn one where you got to warn about
everything
you've got to warn about food yeah
people obese who's warning about that
you know
there's so many warnings if you want to
go down their path so i think we've
given money
way too much power you know where money
is just a tool it's just a thing it's
something
that i'm called to learn how to govern
and steward it's something that i
dominate it's something
that god's given me to train me in the
real riches the bible talks about if i
can't trust you with these riches
how can i trust you with those riches
and so most people fail this money thing
because they're in the wrong system
they're obsessed about this yeah 40
hours a week working for it
uh constantly thinking about it
constantly dwelling on the next bill
that is this system you know and there's
so much more we could go into that no
this
is really good man thanks for for
opening up and there's so many more
questions that i
that can have we could just keep going
but we've already done almost an hour
and a half and
my wife's cooking dinner oh wow

oh man look dude i enjoyed it bro
and uh and we need to do this again i'd
love to have you on any time and just go
deeper into this i love what you're
doing
um for the kingdom and encouraging
people equipping people
and and being open and honest and
embracing your story of embracing your
identity
knowing who you are and still and still
growing you know what i'm saying that
you know would never have arrived right
we're always growing in the lord and
being stretched and
and uh and coming to you know deeper
understandings and who he is man and so

um prosperity mentors or money mentor
people
when it comes to like new thought and
those kind of things
i i say that because i i really like bob
proctor i just want to throw his name
out there i don't know
sure yeah yeah totally some of my
clients have gone through his course and
you know bob proctor he's going to all
the stuff that we're talking about
except he's done a real good job of um
marketing
you know and marketing is how
people make their money but for me there
was actually this guy named jesse elder
i don't know he'll probably never hear
this but
he's actually probably a new age guy and
during my rough time
the lord instructed me to learn from
this man and i bought a course of his
for 500 us dollars and i went through it
like a madman
and he started talking about living this
life that then jesus was like this is
who i am and you like
he brought me closer to the revelation
of christ
in me than any other preacher i have
ever heard and he's not a preacher
he got kicked off a pulpit once for
something he said so
um that's the guy man so you can find a
mix he's he does amazing cool yeah i
just
just just looked him up cool that's
what's up
dude i appreciate the man let me know

it can be given unto you it's all about
trust you know
it's all about integrity you know that's
what what i think joseph was saying is
like
you know god is like can i trust you
with it
you know can i trust you with it can i
trust you with a podcast can i trust you
with
you know five hundred dollars can i
trust you with five thousand five
million some people can't be trusted
a lot of people can't be trusted you
know so but
and it's it's an it's an integral thing
what are you doing when nobody's looking
pass the test say yes and
keep saying yes and keep taking the test
keep passing it um
you can work as hard as you want you can
have the best
ideas and you can you can toil and work
by the sweat of your brow as as it was
the curse of adam
but it is god that gives the increase
when it's time when it's time for you to
take off when it's time for people to
notice you
can't make people notice you you can try
this marketing it just
it's you you'll mess it up but when it's
time
it happens all in due season i've seen
it so many times
um it's good stuff so what you've seen
like
with an example what he said an example
of a person doing something an example
of somebody
operating in something uh whether it's
finances or whether it's
spirituality like um
supernatural abilities like tr
understand that god is not a respecter
of persons
the systems work if you work them like
there's no reason that
so and so joshua mills should be able to
walk in
in in gold dust and communing with
angels and seeing them show up or
you know someone else you know there's
no reason that nico morales should be
able to communicate with birds and
insects that
that should run from him that are it's
in their dna that he can
talk to them and have wasp land on them
and communicate with them and pet
wasp and catch wild birds listen there's
no reason that
someone else should be able to do it and
you can so what the example is the
example is a testimony of what
is available for somebody that is
available for you too
if you want it if you want it bad enough
if you stay long enough
that was one thing when he mentioned
that i kind of laughed you know because
i look at that with like my angelic
experiences and stuff like
um how much time it took of of
being outside by myself and stargazing
and
being under the stars for for hours and
hours and hours until finally seeing
something you know for days at times you
know
and uh how bad did you want it i wanted
it bad
i don't want it that bad anymore i don't
want it that bad not that bad i want to
see it
when i can but not that bad i did
at one point and i got to see it
i found what i was looking for and if
you
i think anything that you focus on will
show itself to you
in this world or the next in this realm
or the next
whatever it is that you're looking for
but everything in right
um right um perspective
because when it's not it becomes an idol
it becomes idolatry you begin to uh be
almost like um echo and you know
the narcissist who falls in love with
their with their own reflection
or this one thing that you behold and it
takes your
attention and it takes your eyes away
from god
the key to that is to be able to look at
that thing
and at the same time look through it see
the potential
and to be able to see god in it to be
able to see god in finances to be able
to see god
in lack like the apostle paul says no
matter where
i go i can do all things through christ
who strengthens me
any place that i go i'm going to find a
way to be content
kill me beat me break my bones i already
gave up my life you can't have my soul
to be content no matter where you are
and once you reach
once you reach that then i guarantee
you'll see the kingdom open up to you
the kingdom will open up to you once you
let go of your
your grip of trying to make something
happen
we tried it we did everything we could
gave it our best shot
boom god knows the desires of your heart
all you got to do is delight yourself in
him
and he will give you the desires of your
heart
and the thing about this is eventually
the longer you're in it
and the longer you're delighting
yourself in the lord your desires change
listen i don't desire the things that i
used to desire
my desires have changed as i've gotten
older i've got a family
you know maturity you don't desire the
things that you used to desire but god
knows
the desires of your heart and he'll give
you those things he put the menu for a
reason
he put them in you for a reason you you
give your dreams you give your vision
you give your purpose to him
lay it at his altar his fire the holy
spirit
consumes it purifies it
and he gives it right back to you
