welcome to the true secret podcast my
friend how are you thank you for having
me i'm doing well how are you
good good uh excited excited to talk
with you and uh
you're a rapper and a hip-hop producer
and beat maker and
we uh wear a lot of the same hats so it
should be it should be a fun
conversation today i know i was
i i mean this is the biggest channel
i've ever been on
i don't know if you looked at my channel
but it's it's like a
an infant
it's in it's it's very early stages i
think it's been up for like nine months
but
um it's it's not to anybody that has
even over a thousand subscribers
this is not easy it may look easy to do
the stuff that you're doing and it is
not at all that's what i was talking to
you on ig about
just the the brand that you were able to
just everything that you were able to do
like that's
that takes a lot of dedication and
and tears

line it's not easy but uh but it's worth
it
it's worth it it's my passion and so
yeah you talk a lot about that
motivation and i think that uh
you should definitely keep that up talk
about the obstacles and stuff that you
face that you've been talking about
on your channel i've checked out some of
those videos for sure and uh it's good
stuff
and uh and we need help you know
creatives and entrepreneurs need help
you know getting over those blockages
and uh you know
because we all start out motivated but
we don't continue motivated so how we
can do that
and we'll talk about that someone here
too but uh yeah i just want to go ahead
and say just want you know you're

let's talk about how i found out about
you was i got a message from a friend of
mine a good friend of mine
johnny iron from the iron show and from
uh fringe radio how did you get
connected with that crazy joker
it was it was really random because i
think he hit me up on
twitter and he calls hip hop hopscotch
and he's like i think like the first
thing he said to me was like
this music sucks or he didn't say
that mean but he was like ah this isn't
really my genre but you seem cool and we
just started like uh
chatting it up and he kept offering for
me to be on the fringe
and i kept like i didn't really know
what he was talking about because you
know how johnny talks
yeah like he was like yeah all you need
to do is ask me to hand over the keys
and
and i'll hand over the and i'm like what
and then finally
i did it and i put up something on the
fringe and it was so much fun to do
something
away from the music because everybody
that the brain is a very complex machine
you can't just focus on one thing all
the time everybody's got multiple things
that they're into so that was a lot of
fun
but that was how i got connected with
him i think we've been talking
for like a year a little over maybe
so you started a podcast on on the
fringe radio network
i only put up one episode but
because i had started my own podcast
about music
and the uploads have been like really
sporadic and super far apart
but doing i think i did the it was on
twa flight 800 that i did the
french radio network podcast on and
it was just so fun it was fun to like do
the sound effects i like
made it sound like we were on a 747
together and
we were all passengers and it was just
really cool
cool cool yeah you can be creative with
it and that's one thing that's that's
cool as a
as a producer and as a rapper and a
hip-hop artist like
there's other facets that you can bring
a lot of that creativity in
especially when it comes to podcasting
and something that i've been doing
lately is doing guided meditations but
they're not just
me talking i i go and get those sound
effects right
and uh and whatever i'm talking about in
the experience
you you hear it i'm even even hiring
voice actors and stuff like that
tapping into the creativity it's like i
can read this
or i can hire somebody for fairly cheap
and get them to read it
in a different accent or whatever the
case is and be a different character so
it's really taking it to the next level
and i mean i'm
taking that from my my hip hop
experiences you know and recording
and and doing features and stuff like
that so really cool to be able to
to gel everything together and and talk
about it and podcast form and
different ways to create because it's
like you have the same talents you know
in the same um
message and the same love but there's
different ways to share it right
that was i think that that was the
coolest thing when i realized like
oh wait i can't i don't have to just
present this story like
every other podcaster does it i can
actually present
i have like an element of i know how to
use logic and i know how to like learn
music and voices which
not to say like every other podcaster
sucks they're all really really good and
they're a hell of a lot
better at talking than i am but i can
kind of make up for my lack of ability
to speak
with you know some elements that could
take some of the attention away from my
you know roseanne fran drescher voice
yeah we get the we get to do that and
and uh that's funny too because like
even recording
i don't like my voice i think that when
i when i record my music
um that it sounds real bland and i saw
i'll layer my vocals
and stuff to get this really ambient
feel and
panning with the vocals and stuff like
that and a lot of people are like man
just do
just do one vocal one take that's how
all the professionals do it they just do
one take and i was like
nah i can't do it i just other people
seem to like it i just don't i don't
like my voice with one layer
yeah but you're you're a musician you
know that the professionals don't do it
in one take like if you listen to rap
god by eminem
you can actually hear yeah i'm splicing
because you can hear his voice go up
like
octaves when it's not supposed to be
like if if you start to be able to hear
things like that the longer that you do
this
yeah and i've learned what works for me
and uh
you know i punch in i i went and did a
song at a buddy of mines and uh
we just past weekend uh just for fun and
uh
i was just punching in i was like
there's no way i can go from
i'm gonna be missing words and barely
pronouncing stuff and if you're doing a
recording like
you know you gotta you gotta give it
that uh time and dedication if you need
to
pause and take a breath like that's what
that's the magic of being in a studio
you know not being on tape you know
people only hear the final product they
have no idea how many times it took you
to get that right
all they hear is is the final product
and if they're happy with it they're
happy with it if they're not they're not
but they're still not going to hear you
know all the mistakes all like the
because i trip on my words all the time
i mean i could barely speak let alone
rap
yeah yeah no i'm better at rapping than
speaking for sure i can actually
articulate it more but it's getting
harder and harder i think for me
for me i just started going faster and
faster and as i
because you know i was like well you
know i'm a good writer
but one element that i'm kind of missing
i feel like the signature
white rapper thing almost is like let me
see if i can go really fast
so i just started to speed everything up
and yeah
i haven't released my i produce way more
than i rap
but um because that's way more popular
nobody
nobody really cares to hear me rapping
but um they'll listen to it and they'll
be like yeah
that's a good attempt yeah me too
no well no your stuff is good i actually
um i listened
to a few things that you had done when
johnny first told me about you
and i just thought that it was uh it was
really cool that you had like merged
that you had like a whole i watched like
a lot of youtube channels and
one of the channels that i watched that
i really like is like the beat stars
channel
because that's where i lose my beats
through and i love this
uh show dj pain one and like and dame
he used this really really good analogy
and i never really gave it any thought
but he said
he used to love to play street fighter
on sega and he's like
you need like a personality to make
people interested so think about
yourself as like a selectable
character on street fighter would you
want to play yourself
and i realized like that you know when
they're all amped up to fight each other
i just pictured myself like unfolding a
table and getting ready to do the
opponent's taxes
and i was like no i probably wouldn't i
should probably work on that
so i haven't uploaded to the channel or
anything in a while because i'm
trying to think about some rebranding
possibly because
i'm definitely missing the mark as far
as the people that like me really really
like me
and i talk to all of them because when
you that's kind of the benefit of having
so few
kind of followers and stuff is you can
really build a connection with all of
them once you start to pass
uh a certain number there's no way you
want to get to know them all but it's
it's impossible
but yeah like we i have a really good
connection so now they kind of like me
for me and less for
like anything that i'm doing but yeah
that's not good when you're trying to
draw more people over to you
you know yes uh it's tricky tricky these
days
i used to i used to be a lot better at
it than i am now as far as because i
think it's because it's cluttered that
like
you know and so the uh people learn how
to cheat the the algorithms and
um a lot of stuff happened over the
years and um
they changed the way that youtube works
and early on
all you had to do was have a good title
and a dope thumbnail
and hope that the content was oh at
least okay and you would get out there
now you gotta have like
i don't know what you gotta have um you
know you gotta
i don't know you you have to be
controversial honestly
you have to uh you have to be a contrary
and you have to have you have to take a
hard stance
on something to really uh to get those
views and
you know to uh to be in the algorithms
and you gotta always be triggering
people
like tom mcdonald like eminem
you know and the way that tom mcdonald
is very interesting we've been
i've been shooting a lot of videos
lately and i've been seeing um
the way that he's um promoting his
videos
earl before he's like
giving you a teaser of of something that
is controversial about it
i just paid a hundred thousand dollars
for this eminem beat
you guys are you can't wait you just
like hyping it up hyping it up or
this is the most controversial song that
i've done to date or the label almost
didn't let me put this song out
you know you guys got to see the video
they might take it down
so you got to watch it right when it
comes out and all of these like
tactics that independent people are
doing
that's working in controversy sells and
me personally i started out being very
controversial but now it's
what i do is not everybody's doing it
now so
it's a little bit harder to kind of get
out there in the algorithms and
and get that click over the next video
beside you you really gotta
uh you gotta speak to that that
controversy really
take a hard right or a hard left if you
play the line in the middle they're just
going to pass over you
yeah you have it's like you said you
have those people who connect with you
and they really connect with you right
and so i'm definitely appreciative of
those people
for sure oh yeah but i mean you're not
lying it's it's
i'm probably the least controversial
person ever
you know and i'm i'm really friendly i
see everything in gray i'm never like
oh it's definitely this way or
definitely that way like
i could definitely see all sides of a
lot of things and and so like i'm very
non-confrontational but
and there's this there's this narrative
for the longest time and i think it used
to be true like
if your music is good enough if your
video quality if your sound quality is
good
enough people will come and that's not
true anymore
it's so saturated i thought it was i'm
using this really really nice camera
and my views have probably went down
maybe they could see the flaws
a little bit clearer but uh but having
like this nice camera for the
podcast and overlay and all that cool
stuff you think would win people it
impresses people
but people people get more views just
pulling out their cell phone and talking
to their cell phone
you know i i mean yeah because i
people love and it's it's nothing
against people and it's not wrong but
people
love drama it's kind of one of our
i think uh it's a necessary human trait
but it's not
really a positive one in this day and
age where we're not all being chased
down by like saber-toothed tigers
you know but um it's just kind of left
over we're very
we're very similar to our cave people
uh versions but now we're applying it to
this modern world
and not everything fits in and not
everything that we still continue to do
is healthy when you just think about the
way that we eat you know
we're designed to eat that way we're
designed to just shove face every
opportunity that we get
because that's how we survived but the
our bodies don't understand that the
grocery store is full
and that's uh you know something that
had like
70 calories in the 1980s now the same
exact item has 140.
it's our bodies could care less it's
like shoved face there's food right
there
yeah yeah it speaks to that that inner
you know primitive person that's still
there
like i said we like the the conflict
there's a there's a song by two i'm a
really big tool fan called um
vicarius i think it's vicarious and it
talks about like living through
sitcoms and television and watching
violence and rage and serial killer
shows and
like all of this stuff that just pulls
you in because you're like
you're like essentially getting to
experience or video games
you're getting to experience it through
this other person where you
you know you can keep your hands clean
or it's not you but you still
get to see what it feels like to to play
on grand theft auto and
join a gang or rob somebody or shoot
somebody or whatever or be in the army
and call of duty and
playing vicariously through these
avatars if you will
and um you know that that that
you know drive that's in us for violence
and going back
to the music tying that into the music
and algorithm and all that
you know that's i think that's why diss
tracks
uh work so well and there there were
artists
and maybe eminem and mgk who would fake
diss each other like i knew people who
would fake do it they would be in on it
and say
we're going to do this i'm going to
create five tracks against you you do
the same against me
nobody knew it though they thought it
was real and they were really going at
each other
but they were friends behind the scenes
and laughed about it and in the end
and really laughed all the way to the
bank so i think that those diss tracks
and the controversy
you know that stuff works for a reason
you know sensationalism
yeah i've had this argument with a
couple people who were like
the eminem mgk thing they were like no
there's no way
like but i i think that they're both
under interscope
and so like for the label that was like
an ace in the hole because now we got
these two songs
being streamed like crazy because you
you had to listen to killshot
if you listen to rap devil like you had
no choice
and so for them it was like a
two-for-one
stream parade and it kind of fizzled out
as fast as it started and that's
always how this goes like if that was a
legitimate beef one of them would be
dead
you know because knowing the power
especially that eminem has
there's no way that mgk would still be
walking around
right now if that was a legitimate beef
especially the way eminem is with haley
so i think that that that may have been
um
stay i mean we never really know but i
personally think it was because that's
how hollywood works like the more that
you're in
this industry and even though i'm i'm
like the uh
you know the very bottom level probably
i'm next to like
an accountant as far as like how into
this i am but
like um you just start to see it you
start to see
because even youtubers will stage beefs
with each other oh yeah
generated dinner generating traffic the
beefs the uh
the pranks fake pranks like all that's
it's so weird and you can tell like
on tick tock but they got the most views
these fake pranks of you know and you
you could just
name one there's so many like there's
there's one that because once one person
does it
all the other creators start doing that
same thing there's just one prank they
do
where this guy's like walking down the
street or walking out of a store and
he's got like
dingy clothes on and doesn't really look
that that
that presentable or that good and he
walks by this really hot girl or
whatever
and he tries to ask her out or ask for
her phone number and she like
rejects them no and that's okay i'm
taken
and they said okay sorry and he just
walks away all frumpy
and then he goes get in this lamborghini
or porsche and then the girl runs up to
him oh wait
i didn't mean it like that i'm not taken
it was like
and there's like 40 videos like that and
they're trying to prove a point but it's
all
staged but people want to watch it just
it pisses me off those videos like
they're they're
they're making it sound like all women
are these
why don't you go to a frumpy woman and
try the same thing because she's
probably going to
like you always wait for the actress i
mean because
it's all actresses but it's also
at the same time like you could flip it
and do the exact same thing from
the other perspective too like it
you know because um a guy is always
going to want the more attractive woman
so i could make a whole thing of videos
like watch this guy
look right past me and towards the hot
girl behind me
the guys are so shallow and it's kind of
like
but that's more biology of course women
are gonna go after
the guy with resources because you carry
a baby for nine months you require more
calories there's gonna be
um things that you're gonna need so the
lamborghini is like the modern day
woolly mammoth meat i mean yeah a woman
would head to the cave with the most
food because she's gotta
factor in that she's gonna be
incapacitated for a bit
and then you're breastfeeding and
expending more calories whereas men
they don't really care that much about
how much money a woman has they care
about
health indicators her beauty her skin um
is she in good enough shape is her or
her hips wide enough compared to her
waist to carry a baby and deliver it
naturally i think of everything in
because if you look at all of our
behaviors
you can always track them back to this
is something that makes
perfect sense it doesn't make the woman
crappy for like going after the guy with
more resources and it doesn't make the
guy crappy for going after the better
looking woman
you know what i mean like yeah but it
all it does is make a bunch of men mad
at women
yeah like and they're trying they're
trying to prove a point with a fake
video
i mean like you said i i would i'd like
to see them really do the
do it like i'm pretty sure the woman
wouldn't care like if the woman was
taken or
um you know it just depends the
situation i guess because i guess
everybody's different too
but it wouldn't ten times out of ten it
wouldn't turn out like that
oh wait wait let me ride in your car you
know
it's kind of weird it i'm sure there's
definitely people like that so maybe
nine times out of ten it wouldn't so
i just don't feel like it would happen
as often i you know
because if i walked by a dude that was
kind of frumpy
like i mean i i wouldn't i wouldn't be
like a jerk about it but
even if this guy was like yeah but look
at my lambo
look at my car rented it you know i
would be like well there's no way that
that's
that's probably not yours because very
few people own one of those
so i'm just gonna go ahead and pass yeah
yeah yeah um so i i listened to some of
the other interviews too just
checking you out and stuff and uh i
heard you talk about some of your
favorite rappers and top five
let's let's talk about some of your top
five and
share with the audience and it'll be
some good talking points who are some of
your top five rappers
my top five always change but um
i think they're they're usually the same
though obviously
tupac is in everybody's top five ti
is definitely probably my all-time
favorite rapper
okay awesome i do love eminem i love his
old stuff a lot better
and by old stuff like i think recovery
was my favorite
recovery in the sun shady lp and um
i like a millionaire and
i believe in my top five i've always
stuck dmx in there because slippin
was probably the song that kind of
introduced me
almost because everybody liked changes i
feel like
by tupac but i feel like a lot of people
like that song more at least me for the
piano
and i and i know like that the beat was
was kind of reworked
but i think like the message was really
really good with changes too
yeah but i think that that that piano
ref really drew people
it really drew me in but then slipping
with that
it was the first time that i heard like
a rap song and
it altered my mood like it really put me
in a dark mood and i remember the day
that it came on mtv and
it was under these gray clouds where the
video was shot
and he was like sitting on a porch or
something and it was just
with that that dark uh
music in the background like the doo doo
doo
and i was like oh sh like i kind of
liked how quick
it it put me from i'm in a good mood
today too
and now i'm sad and i was like this is
really powerful music
and i've loved hip hop ever since it's
my favorite genre
do you ever get into horror core no
posse and tech well tech9 i guess
started out
more more hardcore i don't i wouldn't
call him that now though
because he started out you know in that
fan base or whatever
the juggalos i like tech9 just because
of his his speed
but i i did listen to a few like um i
used to like
i wasn't the hue the the biggest like
icp fan but there was this
this other group who were very icp-esque
called twisted and they came out with an
album called the green book
and they're not big at all they kind of
like have the slip
knot type face paint and everything like
that but
i ended up liking them a lot more than
icp but it's very
similar um yeah they yeah they put them
out they like
put them on their label and
um pretty much branded them and and gave
them
i think their look and everything yeah
they had
yeah they had the the only and you know
twisted's pretty big right now they
actually started their own label and got
into
got into it with icp and they have their
own label called magic ninja
entertainment
magic ninja entertainment and uh the
only song that i know
and by them is called spin the bottle
and it was off of
um some collaboration album they did
right when twisted first came out
but um but yeah i know who they are for
sure i had no idea that those two were
it makes so much sense to me now because
the music is so similar
yeah they put them out icp came out with
a song that i liked
not too long ago though and i don't
remember
what it was called but it was about some
ghost in this kid's closet that like
bites his head off and
and it's um i i thought it was really
good because
as you get older and you you hear these
people um we kind of grew up with a lot
of
even eminem you know when you hear them
grow
and their music really starts to mature
and
you know it's really cool
yeah well his music had to mature and
then digress
a little bit like he had to go back and
keep the controversial stuff right
because he put out i guess a couple
albums that people were like uh it's
whatever
and then eminem came back when he
started dissing everybody again or at
least talking about
the stuff he didn't like or and
responding to people
you know as you get older you're like
yeah kind of like uh you know i'm saying
live and let live but
when when eminem started he's putting
everybody's dirty laundry out there he's
calling out
christina aguilera and fred durst and
nsync and he's going in on all of the
faux pas and
the things in pop culture that suck and
he got away from that because he
probably quit caring about pop culture
he's in it he's
knows all these people are faking all of
this kind of stuff and so he starts
talking about other stuff and
growing up and and uh you know
people weren't feeling it because they
wanted the old eminem but
when when he come out with those uh
cosmicazi and and the other one right
after that like
music to be murdered by like the old
eminem came back for sure
like that was insane to see him and i'm
glad that
that we seen that you know that that
album come out and he still had it in
him and
not be on drugs and be able to you know
write like that
and and speak about current events and
and really lash out at people that was
you know the eminem that everybody fell
in love with i'd say
he's kind of the madonna i feel like of
rap because
she has done the same thing like what is
she like 85 years old at this point
well she's not that old but she's
probably in her 60s and she's constantly
she's kept up with the times i her music
has moved
to every single style that we've seen
for like what two decades
i mean she is always like uh on par with
what's going on and i feel like eminem's
kind of similar except he's
he's a lot more emotional than madonna
is i feel like she enjoys fame
and i think that this is all like fun
for her and i think eminem is just
confused i don't think he hates it i
don't think he likes it
i don't think he knows what he wants
because it's like leave me alone i just
want to walk as an average civilian
he starts losing his fame pretty much
and then he's like yeah but look at this
and watch me do this like does that mean
what they all do
that's what they all do it's crazy it's
like that narcissism
it comes back to haunt you and you know
i i think that that
you know gets into a lot of
people getting botox and look trying to
look
young and like stay you know
change the way that they look they want
to stay in the lot in the limelight and
and so much so that they start like
disfiguring themselves
and they look weird you know it's but in
their head
they still you know uh look young
or vibrant or whatever the case is and
there's a lot of weird stuff that people
do to stay
in in the limelight and um
it's it's strange to see you like
looking at somebody like what's that
guy's name
the uh back backstreet boys little bro
aaron carter
have you are you keeping up with him
what did he do no he's i haven't
even given him thought and like oh my
god yeah no he's just all he's doing a
lot of interviews he just did celebrity
boxing but
no he's just as far as like being trying
to stay in the limelight
and and uh and and seeing that it's some
kind of
mental disorder that kind of comes along
with like
needing to be seen and needing that
you know the light to be on you and
stuff it's it's very strange
it's it is because especially with that
surgery stuff because it's almost like
i mean that's pretty much what michael
jackson did it's it's a body
dysmorphia yeah i mean every time he
looked at it they even said it
in that movie i don't remember what his
movie was called it was really good
though about his life
and he kept thinking that his nose was
big
like every surgery i know there was
there was there was a time where he
you know if you're gonna do it and he he
did the transformation like
but he's like that that's a michael
jackson that's him but like you say he
just
kept doing it and you can't stop you
know
you're not seeing what everybody else is
saying plus i bet you that the changes
are
gradual enough because i don't know if
you saw renee zellweger
who was very pretty she was she was
pretty at a very category yeah
yeah yeah homely she was homely yeah
homely
i don't know what she i this was years
ago but it's
just she got a surgery that changed her
face
to where she actually looked to me
older when she was done with it and she
wasn't nearly as cute as she was before
she
i think um if you want to get surgery
then get surgery it's
fine but i do think that you
i'm a big recommender of therapy
i think a healthy level of therapy if
you feel like you're getting out of
control with
something like that just because it's
really hard to see ourselves objectively
because if somebody gave me endless
amounts of money i'm sure
i would be on a surgery table in like
four seconds flat
like to turn me into a bar at all yeah
you know
yeah i know you never know i mean unless
you're in that situation
because when that when that when that
light hits you and you see them flaws
you know and um and then the person next
to you don't have them
you know and somebody's getting the
roles getting all those roles in in the
movies that that you're
that you used to get you used to be the
kid
actor you used to be the the hot one you
know
and uh it catch you looking different
like you know there's

lost a bunch of weight um monique
lost a bunch of weight they're known as
being the big
adele yep the because a lot of them even
even spoke on it though like embrace
your bigness it's okay
love your body and then they go have a
transformation you know
um so that's where a lot of them kind of
kind of eat their words or whatever like
hey you said you were okay with being
big why are you
like what happened um but you know it's
part of their character
and once they lose that i think it's
just something when
you know when people get used to
something when and you switch it up on
them
you you lose them a lot of times you
know it's the same thing like even on a
small level like if you change your
youtube background
like if you move to a new house and like
have something different going on back
there
people will unsubscribe for that yeah
that's what i did for sure i just got a
new house and
yeah i know right now i don't have
anything on my walls because i think i'm
moving pretty soon
so right now like uh it looks like
disney on ice behind me right now with
all the gray
i put that throw blanket there just so
that it didn't look
uh freakishly gray i never noticed uh
it's not even my favorite color i don't
know how that happened
but um it's a lot of gray behind me
yeah you change change up one change the
color scheme and throws them off
hey why is it green man purple looks
better today like truth seekers green
this isn't the channel i fell in love
with
but you know it is true though it's like
um
you know i started i had a channel that
got deleted and it was doing
i think i had like almost 9 000
subscribers or whatever
and i'm about to speak to somebody here
brent i just had him on and it's kind of
what he's going through but
i had like nine almost 9 000 subscribers
and uh and it was all conspiracy
spiritual stuff you know and that's
that's why they subscribed that's what
they wanted
and i started i started streaming doing
uh games
like gaming and just hanging out with
the chat and i game a lot i love video
games
so i was like why not stream and hang
out with the community while i'm
playing madden or gears of war or
whatever the case is it's something that
i really like to do
and i caught so much flack and so many
people unsubscribed
uh from my channel because i was playing
video games and it wasn't
spiritual or conspiracy oriented and
you know it was just kind of like just
hang out you know
and um people were you know they were
used to
a certain aspect of you and then when
you change up
a lot of them out the door you know you
can't change anything you have to keep
it the same
it's true i mean and i i complain about
it but at the same time like if i'm if
i'm watching a youtuber that
is telling me what the best midi
keyboards
um to buy our or or you know music gear
news or something and then all of a
sudden i turn it on and he's like
this is how you make the best chicken
dive
but at the same time i mean um
it is really hard i thought about
starting a another channel because i was
talking to
iron johnny about this i i had a couple
successful youtube channels
before i started doing the music and one
of them
did get banned completely because um
we were we were like reviewing it's so
funny because now all these wish
channels and aliexpress channels
i swear i had the first channel that was
doing that because
my it ballooned fast like the
subscribers were coming in
super fast and um i was
dating someone at the time and we were
reviewing so
honestly the channel probably would have
gotten uh deleted anyway
but we were reviewing knockoff like
louis vuitton
in china sending us all this stuff for
free because we had so many
so many subs that they were like oh yeah
show these jordans show these jordans so
every time we went to the p.o box it's
filled with all this like counterfeit
stuff
and um it got enough strikes uh from
both the companies and we're lucky that
we didn't get sued
and finally youtube is like nah we're
done with this
and then i started another channel that
focused on disasters
so like the versailles wedding hall
floor collapse and plane crashes and
things like that and that channel grew
relatively fast too and then i deleted
that one for the music because i didn't
want to have two things going and johnny
was like that was so stupid
and in retrospect it kind of was because
it's very it's the music channel is the
hardest one to grow
yeah because i can grow any other
channel on any other subject
but i can't grow with this one so i was
thinking well
yeah i think it's with the it's with the
controversy i mean even those two
those two things that you mentioned
those two channels were a bit
controversial you know or
shocking or whatever the case is in
music you know you got to have you got
to have
something that you know that draws
people
besides the music you know you got to
have
something else yeah you got to have that
character
story um i had a channel um
from for my daughter that i made back
when
before like reaction channels were big
the only reaction
was like uh the kids react i don't know
if you remember when that first came out
um yeah we did a i made this one off of
the same name because
the way that youtube you used to work
was off of seo
like i said all you had to have a dope
title dope thumbnail
and hope that the content was at least
okay didn't even have to be great just
okay and you would get views and so
i started one for my daughter was kids
react to scary movies
and so they were watching horror
trailers like
right when they came out not everybody
does it's huge there's no way
even if i did it you probably couldn't
even find me um by doing it because
there's so many people doing it
but before youtube got cluttered
they were same way they were she she was
uh
reacting to old stuff from the 80s and
stuff little kid
they were little at the time but um they
had videos like 400 000 views
and gaining subscribers and she was
making money she was a kid and i said
come home watch this video
listen all the money i'll make i'll give
you the money usually i sit down and
watch these videos i'll edit them
it was fun you know but uh youtube ended
up
banning my channel um and ended up
losing
all the footage and stuff so
they're really they're really like
even when you're uploading a video
they're like are there kids in this
video
they're super protective about and i
i totally get it like protect the
children obviously
but i'm not sure what exactly
the problem is you know what i mean like
with a lot of the videos
because i've seen other channels get
just
mauled over having a kid in the video
because like it would be there was this
one channel that i used to like and
there was like a discussion going on
like we're having
and the guy had the kid on his lap but
they were both cussing they were talking
about weed and
and oh my god this guy got like
i'm like they he wasn't drunk he wasn't
smoking weed and blowing it into the
kids
it was just banter and the kid was super
i don't think that the kid was even old
enough to know what was going on
honestly like
it in i'm like i think that that's a bit
much of a penalty for
talking about something that that kid
isn't putting together
yeah um they uh
we'll say you got to watch what you say
but i think there was a lot of like
predators and stuff in the chat like
they would watch children's videos and
stuff like that and
um they ended up turning
turning the comments off um for videos
because
they was using like buzzwords and
keywords and stuff and i know that a
channel that i watch
um belief in fatherhood um
he's a just a father raising his kids
and he films it and he puts stories in
it and morals and all that kind of stuff
and
he they almost demonetized them and
turned all his comments off because he
had kids in
the majority of his videos but they were
his kids but it was right whenever they
were going through that
dca compliance or whatever it's called
but um
yeah you you know it's always changing
and it's crazy like
you could be on top one day and then the
algorithms just say
yeah we're not we don't like your
content and not promote it
i don't even think it has much to do
with people not liking it
it's it's if if youtube's not alerting
people
that you're putting out new content
nobody's gonna see it
um well youtube is definitely gonna be
careful about
who who they who they promote and who
they don't
i mean they're looking to have like
squeaky clean
content they want youtube to be as
family as a platform as possible and
tick tock and instagram are very very
similar there's certain things like if
you start getting into like politics and
start dropping certain names
and things like that i mean the the
algorithm is
programmed to not to specifically ignore
um your viewers will see it some of them
not probably
as many as normal but they are not going
to push that out to any new people
yeah they're even turning turning the
notifications off for people who've
actually
manually turned them on people just stop
yeah stop getting notified when you go
live and and uh upload videos and stuff
so
i'm thankful myself for just the
podcasting apps and i love the video
aspect i love
you know zoom and live streaming and
facebook and youtube and all that but
i'll go live and 30 people will see it
like on uh on um
uh facebook used to i would get
man we get a hundred thousand impression
there was one night we got
300 000 impressions because people were
sharing it out and it would
show you all all the calculations just
off of a live stream hangout
and uh but they want you to pay for it
like they want you to pay for everything
especially if you're selling something
or they know that you're
trying to make money then yeah if you
want to get in front of people you got
to pay them
but even but it's not it's not even set
up right like i don't
like even if you pay them a lot of
people are wasting money on ads or
trying to
trying to get big on youtube trying to
pay so you have to like
really really know facebook ad that's
like an art in itself because you need
to know exactly who you want
to say in my case like my i need to look
at who watches me and my audiences
even the ones that like aren't
subscribed which most of my audience on
youtube are not subscribed
but i'm 94 male
so i know i don't target my odds towards
fee
i have i haven't run on ad on facebook
in a while but
i need to target everything towards
males which is cutting out 50
of the population already and then like
i want them to either be
in you know i i try to narrow it down as
much as possible that the
top state that buys beats from beats
stars specifically my beats is georgia
atlanta so all like specifically start
targeting males in between the ages of
like you know 18
and 27 in atlanta
you know who have kids are like you can
really like an arrow
and it it does work but if you just are
like
promote this to the world like you're
just gonna get a bunch of ghost
followers
because they'll click you they'll be
like oh she's cute
i have no idea what the hell i do never
watch
one video that i put out and that's
that's a problem
because then the algorithm sees that
people that are following you aren't
even interacting with you
yeah if they're not then why would i
push you to anybody else
so i had to uh oh man you got to be so
careful
yeah well i think that's what a problem
with my channel
um you know even though i i have a lot
of um
subscribers i guess you would call it a
lot it's you know
17 000 or whatever but um
i don't think that those are my fans
though you know what i'm saying because
like
because i interview so many different
people
they're only subscribed because i
interview their favorite author
their favorite musician they like that
episode so
they'll give me this subscription
but they won't interact they won't watch
the other videos or
or the videos that i put out or or
whatever they won't talk
now i do have like in that there i do
have a you know
it's not 17 thousand it's more like two
thousand subscribers
um probably probably we if you look at
the analytics
um but you know if i interview that
their favorite
author again they'll listen and they'll
share it out and they'll watch but um
that's one of the things that i've
noticed that my channel
it featuring so many different people
and so many different
ideas and we i've talked about
everything we're talking about music now
there's a there's a portion of people
who like music
who are hanging out with us right now
listening to this and
but you know i would say the majority
i don't know it's just split because i
i'm a musician you know i
i like beats i make music i i used to go
live and um
and show myself recording and and making
beats and stuff like that and people
would hang out and watch and just
interact and uh you know be a part of
the stream but
that's not the majority you know other
people wanted to talk about conspiracies
or
spirituality or whatever they didn't
want to see the working
aspect of it the hard part you know so
that's just it's almost like it's almost
like the thing we talk about switching
it up like you know you can't
can't switch it up like we only want
this we don't want this and that
so that's what you know i was trying to
i it's true like johnny was like
he was saying we were kind of in a
disagreement but i i can kind of sing my
side and i can see
his you know because i even talked about
you in the
the latest i think video that that came
up because i was talking to
about uh being on the fringe radio
network how i was really kind of
anti-doing it first of all because i
didn't know what he was talking about
and second of all because i was like
none of my people care about that they
don't care about me talking about twa
flight 800
um they're not going to go over there
but honestly it was kind of cool because
fringe radio
network people ended up like getting
exposed to my beats and they were
actually listening to them
and like um and i made a couple sales
off of because they have podcasts and
they're like oh i want to use this one
or that one
yeah and a lot of my people more than i
thought went over and listened to the
one on the french so
sometimes as long as i feel like it's
kept separate enough
but then i was saying like with you i
used you as an example i was like
he's doing like his own thing completely
he's
like some of his stuff is on the
paranormal the occult and then he's got
the music stuff and nothing seems to be
cannibalizing anything else
so and that was impressive to me because
i was always worried about
my content cannibalizing my content like
what if what if i do start talking about
this on this channel and this explodes
and then
people really don't care about the music
anymore because right now i'm struggling
to get the people that care about the
music to care about
the music because i saw somebody say
this in a video and i think that it's
true
they were saying like music is they
called it an ask
channel you're asking people to do you a
favor like oh listen to this
because why would they listen to me if
they can listen to ti
or why would they listen to my beads if
they can listen to works off beats which
are better
you know like i'm never good i'm not one
of the greats like like these uh
these huge david guetta beat makers and
stuff
so it is in a way i'm asking people to
do me a favor like well give it a chance
you know it's
and whereas if i'm like yeah twa flight
800
was it was it shot down like people are
like oh this is interesting
and that's giving content is what like
it's referred to
so like ask and this isn't
well i mean you got you got a couple
different things that you do because i
do have another channel that i made for
my beat stuff
and the the beats get a little bit of
views
i got like 500 views here and there on
beats and they're
kind of like you what we call type beats
um
you know i'm saying rick ross type b
that's what they call it right and
that's just how you
you label it or whatever kid cuddy type
b
hops and type b yeah so hopefully people
who are looking for that
i need a hobson type b oh what's this
one so i i have a channel too
like that and um so when i'm talking
about music or trying
or giving a piece of of of game to help
somebody
would you you have those too right how
to get through writer's block how to
stay motivated how so you are doing how
to's
and how to's are big yeah so i had to
those those actually do some um
relatively well i still
i still have um i think it's mostly my
beats that have the majority of
of views and the content that i'm in is
slowly catching up but
like i was saying earlier about the
street fighter thing i'm very dry
and i i do feel like the camera sucks
energiadi like
it's it's crazy because i feel like i'm
pretty animated
in real life and then i watch myself
back on camera and i'm like
oh my god i'm like the female ben stein
and
i definitely have to figure out how to
be on camera
better because if you have an
interesting subject people are
the possibilities are endless though you
know it's like
get first of all i mean and there's
videos to tell you how to do it
like yeah just turning on the led light
like adds so much
to the stream if that's what you want
you know what i'm saying or having a
light in front of
having everything lit and sound quality
and and once you figure that stuff out
then you teach people how to do it
and since your niche is the you know the
music niche
how you know my my biggest video
on my music channel um and it's actually
mystic trap beats i'm gonna go to it
but i did um i i did a video
telling people telling rappers and this
is
see what i named it just um
let's see but i did a video
called attention rappers do not sign up
with
distrokid uh without watching this
and it was something that i learned
about distrokid that
is sucks for for rappers and um
and i'm wondering why because all of
these
big name people curtis king
maybe even d no dj paint one he's with
beat stars but
a lot of people promote distrokid like
it's and they
talk it up like you gotta go with them
it's so cheap it's the best it's like
oh the reason they're telling you to to
sign up is because they have an
affiliate link
and if you click their link as an
affiliate they're getting paid
but there's some some flaws in distro
kids service
that most people don't know about and i
i shared my experience and
just got 35 000 views on that
um it's so funny because i have the
opposite videos up because i have an
affiliate
i have an affiliate district but it's
not only for the link but
in a lot of cases i felt that district
was getting like a bad rap because
uh there was a lot of people that were
botting streams
and so it was more like spotify
uh taken down and i know like the the
affiliation between spotify and
distrokit but it's still
spotify is like any other algorithm it
wants real engagement to
actually know what kind of music the
person likes so if your mom
is playing your song on repeat for three
days to try to get your streams up even
though she's not a bot
you'll still get pulled down for that
and i felt that distro kid was taking a
lot of like
this lap but i think like any other con
any other company
any company that you can even have an
affiliate link for
anybody that's making up north of of a
million dollars is going to have its
problems
it's it's figuring out whether or not
the platform works for you
like i've been with distro kid now for
two years and i've never had a problem
and like um but then i know people that
have been on district for six months and
they're like i lost my whole catalog
yeah there's there's starting to be some
horror stories come out
um one of the like the thing that got me
because i was going to sign up with them
for my beats
but i found out something that if you're
an artist that you
really need as a as as far as making
income on your stuff
is um sync royalties through youtube
and what i showed in the video and why
it's gotten so popular in
a lot of you know comments on it
is the fact that when you go to sign up
in the moment that you select for your
genre
hip-hop or edm the ability to collect
royalties on youtube
disappears but if you change it to
country
blues bluegrass heavy metal rock
it pops back up so i paid the money and
i'm going to sign up as a producer
and i said and i said okay i want to i
want to make money on youtube
with these beats right so because if
somebody raps to my beat and uploads it
and i don't know about it i need to
collect money off of that
that's really how the producer what they
call the back end
you know pain one talks about that a lot
and there's a lot of money in that
and uh but i went to sign up and it
keeps
it keep keeps going away every time i
select hip hop
so i i emailed them and said hey i just
signed up i'm a producer and every time
i
select select this it goes away that i
can't collect
sync um um
it's mechanic mechanical royalties yeah
mechanicals from youtube yeah
and they say and and they actually wrote
me back and said they had to take it
down
from hip hop and edm because of the
because it's a
sample laden it's heavy sample laden is
what they said
is that there's a bunch of people who
use samples of
meaning stuff that doesn't belong to you
um
which is true you know you're using
snares and kicks and guitar riffs that
that's
one guy records a guitar riff and sells
it to 70 people
and then they all upload it to r to
to get sync you know the
royalties off of and everybody can't get
it
you can't give it to everybody you have
to give it to the creator who's the
first person so
it muddies the water for them and every
and so
i mean they told me that's what it was
and they took it away
and actually gave me a refund and um but
other companies still do it for you even
though they have a lot of problems
there's a lot of disputes
i can put out a beat and somebody else
buy the same beat and upload it
and i'm getting you know the royalties
off of it or
we use music i'm sorry um movie samples
i use
i have samples in every song from like
movies and
lectures and stuff and when you upload
it
you'll start pulling revenue from where
those samples came from
and you talk about having a lawsuit on
your hands quick there's a lot of
you know people trying to get samples
cleared and there's a lot of
um gray area in that and uh
and but for me i was like nah i gotta i
gotta be able to make
the youtube streams because people
re-upload my episodes and
you know i actually use my um my own
music for the intro and outro so
when people do upload it hopefully they
leave the intro in or outro
youtube lets you even snip that out now
to where
you know i'm not even making that but or
they can mute it with the
selection of one button it'll just mute
my music so they're getting paid off of
my interview or whatever um but it's
tricky
it is tricky but cd baby and and many
other companies still let you do a
tunecore i know cd baby does because
every what happens to me
what's really annoying is that um
and it's not it's not the rapper's fault
it's not even really cd baby's fault
but i get copyright strikes on my own
beats
are not strikes i get uh content id
yeah flags because the rapper uploaded
via cd baby um and so
yeah like i'll get uh the yellow on one
of
my own beats but i i mean i've been able
to and that happens
a lot but the good thing about it or the
thing that i like about it is a lot of
the times
they didn't lease the beat so i do and
i do go after if they get enough streams
i go after them
yeah i'm like i'm not monetized you are
you owe me money well you got to get
monetized
that's the trick as an artist and as a
beat maker you got to get monetized
there there are companies that you can
upload your music through uh sometimes
it's hard to get approved but
i think it's uh adrev is one of the big
ones
adrev there's a couple that that you can
upload all of your music to and they
will collect for you
um oh i do that through like distrokid
and the youtube side of music it might
be because
i joined i may have joined this rocket
before this stuff went down
could have but i do have a section of
district hit that tells me what i earned
off of youtube but my earnings
the thing is is i don't have a thousand
subscribers so on the video side of
things i can't
i'm not monetized well i mean as far as
people using your music
so like even if you like as soon as you
put out a beat
you want to you want to find a way to
register it whether you're working with
an ad rev company
or you just upload it to
i would say distro kid but if disreal
kids not doing that somebody said that
they just changed it that they started
doing it again
i doubt i'm a distributor and i i think
you're talking about like ascap
or bmi um no one talks where you
register with the
no you want to register with them yeah
you want to register because i'm
registered with bmi too
yeah i get a little small checks from
them but um
but no as far as like because when when
you put your beat out
um you want it to pick up because
everybody's on youtube
like if somebody puts out a song like
you
you shouldn't have to physically go
after everybody who uses your beat
you know and you don't
it actually works for whoever up whoever
registers it first
so if you create it and just upload it
to beatstars
um and somebody downloads it and
registers your beat
uh as their own
you know all the algorithms think that
they own it but when
when you upload it or you batch or maybe
you upload
10 or whatever um and you upload it
you'll be getting the revenue
i've got like because i i get i use a
company now called um
catapult distribution
and they'll show me all of the videos
on on youtube that are using my music so
i got my beats on there and i got my
regular music so
if there's people who are they're
streamers right who are on twitch
and on youtube and they're playing video
games but they're playing my music in
the background
i'm getting a cut because that's my
music
you know you have to pick something else
or
people are rapping over my my beats and
they got them online and it may have 5
000 views and
and they collect it i don't have to go
do a strike or whatever
so there's a way for you to register it
first the thing is you
you have to register at first whoever
registers it first is going to get the
money
unless you have to dispute it and then
you can go dispute it and
go back to the company which we've had
those problems and stuff too so
it's it's a little the way that i was
doing it is i would upload every single
place at the exact same time
everything was scheduled so at the same
second when it went up to these stars it
would go onto youtube it would go
so no matter what like i was the first
and then whoever uploads after that is
considered a derivative
if somebody puts like lyrics or whatever
but um
but i'm about to my distro kid the year
is up
so i'm about to see what the new because
once you sign in you're kind of
grandfathered in for the entire year
so i'll be able to see like what's
changed if they even let me monetize on
youtube anymore
if they still provide the youtube
content idea i think it was an extra 15
a year to have that done where district
would actually listen for
the rhythmic patterns to make sure
nobody was using it was like
extra money to do it but i'm gonna
recheck and
there's there's a chance that i might
end up just moving everything to
everything else because one way that
district did screw me over
and yes i have an affiliate link and and
i do like them i've been happy with them
but the
the biggest complaint that i have is
when i first started rapping i came out
in a group
it was a rap trio of three women and we
were called truthality
and i put truthality under distro kid
and then when i started releasing along
i started releasing under leah jude
and by myself and distrokid
will not let me remove truthality so i
have to pay
extra for something that's not even
active oh good and i took down
because i didn't have releases from the
other two that were in the group
so there's there's i the song still is
like
um bouncing around online because you
can never take anything down completely
even if this
kid tries to pull it somebody has it
somewhere
but yeah like
i'm so mad that i have to pay an extra
like twenty dollars
for something that i do i don't have
anymore like there is no more truthality
and they won't let me take it down
yeah and i have so much music up with
distrocat it's like over 300 songs
and they're like you have to start all
over again with a brand new and you
might not be able to use your name
and all this other crap and i'm like
well that sucks
so i have to pay for totality forever

but it's just soundcloud it's like i've
been up on soundcloud
i've gotten like i don't know like 55
something thousand streams and i made
3.50
from that i'm like okay this isn't even
worth it so i stopped uploading there so
youtube i've been uploading to that's
got
everything that pretty much i've ever
made but um
and once i'm able to monetize it it'll
be good because the thing is i have over
300 videos
and so even though each video has like
30 views
it's all added up to where i'm in the
thousands of like views or whatever all
together so i get
a lot of views every day but they're so
sprinkled because of so many videos so
when i am finally monetized when i can
reach that
4 000 watch time hours and 1 000
subscriber thing like i'll actually be
able to get like a little bit of
adsense money off of that which will be
really nice but like i said it's
what what you did what anybody that gets
a above a certain number does is
it's not easy it's so it's hard work

dirty almost when you when you hear them
uh i think it's because i've fallen in
love with that song slipping by dmx and
i really think that that
actually almost shaped the way that i
like beats to sound
and i try to make ones that are happier
and the happier ones get more streams
but i just don't like uh
i just don't like making them as much
yes i do
i don't do as as as much dark
well i don't know maybe i do but i like
doing both you add a few
uh i got some dark ones but i i think i
like
i like the more melodic ones though
honestly something i can
if i can hear a melody in it and sing on
the on the chorus at least
um i like that better than just wrapping
the whole thing i
try to make my mic like hooks a little
bit more melodic than
the because i do try to leave room for
the rapper because that was my biggest
criticism for the longest time they're
like
where is there supposed to be a rapper
and then i'd argue back like oh yeah ti
uses busy beats tupac used to get when
you think about california love how many
instruments do they have yeah
that's the one thing what i never could
get is like because you keep adding you
never know where to stop like adding
no that's that and it is true i've i've
gotten way busy at times but i do think
like for the more busy beats that i make
they are really good for
podcasters and like videographers um
that are looking for music they do work
really really well for that
and some of them i i try to make them
less busy
for obviously rappers to leave room
here's one i made
i've never wrapped over any of my beats
stuff
really
oh man i love the uh the counter
melodies i love the the simple
keys
because i'm not really a piano player so
just got these little simple
oh i did the same thing
and i just throw a arp on the course or
something playing with the arps are fun
what do you
you say you use logic you don't use uh
friday loops or nothing
no i use logic and uh
it's so i've talked to people about this
like a bad length because people will be
like oh yeah that doll sucks
this dog socks so you can't do this
they're all good
i honestly think it's whichever one you
started on is going to be
the one that most people use yeah i
still use like
adobe because of cool edit
everybody started i started on
garageband so logic was
the obvious step for me to but
um honestly i've seen ableton i cannot
stand all the gray
it looks like windows 98 to me
and the thing is is i know it's an
awesome program
but i can't get over the aesthetics of
like uh
pro tools is the same way it looks older
even though it's got like massive
amounts of like capabilities pro tools
looks like it's out of the 90s to me
and i i got it i just never
i know i know it i probably should use
it i got a friend of mine who begs me to
use it i just i don't use it i got it on
my computer it's installed and
everything
i've messed with it because i have it
too but mac had an update that actually
made it impossible for me to use pro
tools which is so annoying
and i will say like i was really really
impressed with it especially since
i had it at the same time that i was
also using garageband as like my daily
um and that's another thing is is people
would be like
garage band is trash if you use
garageband and
i'm like i sell beats i made on
garageband i still
i still these beats that i made on
garageband like what are you talking
about
if you're crappy on garageband you're
gonna be just as crappy on whatever else
that you're using because yeah
the truth is if you can do it you can do
it yeah like garageband
you can't get like the spatial sound
that you can get to the eqs
but all those things can be added as
plug-ins
i don't under it's it's always somebody
that just started making music three
days ago where like this is trash that's
trash this music's trash
once you get comfortable you don't walk
around calling people's dolls in music
trash like
trash musicians do that i don't insult
anybody's stuff
because it's you can get a feel for
where they were trying to go with it
even if the final product isn't like
you know the best quality in the world
like you see where they were going and
they're going to learn
you know at their own pace you ever use
contact
is it contact k-o-n yeah see uh i
actually have like um
a few contact plug-ins on on logic that
i don't
i have so many plug-ins that like some
of them i don't even use but they're
there
why well i just because i i had started
using it and there's so many cool
plugins for it like
there's one called voices of the elves
and
like voices of the forest and there's
like
it's like a i call it the angel song or
whatever but
it's it's like a woman singing or
whatever and
um there's like chanting and gregorian
chants and
um so many sounds
that you can actually you can plug into
that and it's really cool
and it you just play it to the the keys
and
different phrases that you can make them
say and stuff and
i was having a lot of fun with contact
so it's a plug-in that
they make a lot of packs for i guess
i use a lot of um stock i use
a lot of stock vsts from from logic and
they have like a lot of cool vocal
effects
and um but i also use labs
and um sanjay rhodes
this is uh this is a a review
of the voices of the elves but just let
you hear some of the sounds
me like some lord of the rings type
stuff too oh my god that's so
that's that's like so of my how much is
this
i'm not sure um i was going to uh
audios.com or something like that audio
i see
and a lot of the stuff you can get the
plugins for free
oh okay cool now i was i was
there's a whole bunch of them that's
like
just adding that with a synth
adding the synth and then the angels
like angelico of course you can see you
can mix the different
sounds so cool just the synth in
that it's like oh my god and then
putting a beat to it
real relaxing i love that it's it's
almost like
and somebody said this too and i was
like that's the perfect description he
was like your beats
sound like if enigma came out with like
a trap album
there you go and i was like that's
exactly what i'm going for i love enigma
yeah and i'm i'm yeah i'm in the same
way if they do a hip-hop album
esoteric rap album yeah you i used one
of their songs the other day in like a
tick-tock instagram video when we was uh
at the um grand canyon i guess it was or
but it was cool oh my god i gotta tell
you this
it has nothing to do with anything but
it was so funny because
johnny was like yeah friend request uh
truth zika on facebook he'll he'll
accept you and i was like
i think we're already friends and i
found this guy that
because i get a lot of random friend
requests because they they find me
online
but and they don't see the actual
official like leah jude facebook page so
they'll
friend request my personal which is fine
i don't i don't really care
but um yeah i had this guy and he had
like
long hair and a beard and i was like no
i think we're already friends and he had
like a name that was very similar to
yours
and i screenshotted it and i was like oh
this isn't him
and johnny it was so funny because he's
like truth seekers
way better looking than that guy
but it like made me laugh i was like
because this dude
i don't know like i guess i he i mean
it was true but i i just have like i
didn't look that deeply at this guy
because like i didn't
it was another like random friend
request but it was so funny that johnny
was like insulted that i would
like insinuate that you looked anything
like him
it's that guy like makes me laugh
johnny's crazy i had him on the show
once but it was whenever
um my internet connection was
crap and it was going in and out
constantly and we were trying to do it i
was trying to do podcasts during that
time and i was going insane
and uh i tried to do one with johnny and
we talked for two minutes three minutes
10 minutes and it was just cutting in
and out and i was like man
i can't i can't do this but i have to
have him back on some time
oh man he's because he's so funny he's
so easy to talk to and he definitely
doesn't see the world in
the way that i feel like a lot of people
do it he
because he comes up with some sometimes
he comes out with a side that i didn't
even think i'm like what
how did you get that from that but then
when he explains it it kind of makes
sense and it's like
okay i can see that
yeah i love what johnny's doing
especially with the the fringe
and he's just a good guy all around and
he's
uh he's not afraid to share he's not
he's not afraid to uh
let other people you know use this
platform you know and that's
that's big so because he has an audience
you know and
letting people he want they want people
to get started they want people to get
in the radio and get into podcasting and
those kind of things and stuff to see
him reaching out to people
obviously even if it's not even you know
straight up
conspiracy or spiritual or whatever he
really
doesn't even care deep down he's like
just do it just start a show
i think that that was what confused me
the most when he was offer i'm like
i'm looking at who uploads there and
what the i'm just looking at the titles
of the shows and i'm like
he's like yeah do it on music who cares
and i'm like okay i mean i'll do it on
something that has something to do
with i guess this stuff but he really is
a really cool guy he
he's one of those people who he'd give
you
whatever he doesn't hear um have you met
michael basham
one of his partners with the french
probably probably um michael basham
maybe not i i've met like bentley
um counselor mark
and god it's uh
it's funny too because our our power got
shut off and
ministry x had reached out and he's like
hey i wanted to help you do a promotion
for your beats
and uh he's like i'm ministry acts on
the fringe and at the time like my power
had been cut out
because i like i i was just having some
some money issues at the time and i was
like
yeah i would love to as soon as i get
internet back because
and it's i i'm gonna have to hit that
guy back up because he seemed like super
nice
but um everybody at the fringe was crazy
nice
i thought you say they're crazy oh no no
they're super nice but if you do look at
if you
if you actually look at the podcast and
then you look at the titles and you
wouldn't expect
that the people that upload there are as
nice and as welcoming as they actually
are
some of the some of the shows are really
intimidating looking
but um it just shows you really can't
judge a book by its cover because i feel
like a lot of times
uh conspiracy theorists will just be
labeled and say and i've been guilty of
it of all
foil hats and everything that you say is
nonsense and
and you just but then like when you
really peel back the layers
their life experience is is leading them
to believe that
not out of stupidity but because things
like this have happened before our
brains are very
our brains can only go to our previous
experiences to
get knowledge on what's going to happen
in the future that's all they get
because they're inside of a skull
they're sitting in the dark
they're just getting input all the time
and so like when you really
understand why somebody thinks what they
think
not only do you see oh this isn't an
idiot but you also see why it makes
sense
whereas before you're in your own bubble
where it just uh
that's why i'm all about like talking to
different people and i love
seeing things like that and i love
having debates and arguing over things
because
it teaches me a lot about what possibly
could really be the case and about the
person that i'm talking to
you know what i mean how they think yep
yeah there's a lot of cool people there
and um you meet some cool people
and it's people who you know ask bigger
questions really
there's a lot of that you know with the
conspiracy and spiritual movement and
stuff so good stuff
well we're going to go ahead and what
are we done uh hour almost an hour and a
half
and so let people know where the best
place to go
to uh to to get your your music and to
check out your
your your videos you know your youtube
and all that because
i really like your when you share the
advice and
and all of that and i think you should
double down on that especially when it's
music
music oriented because that's your niche
right but not just music but just being
a creator
you know i'm saying a creative and
somebody who creates and the roadblocks
that we run into because
you know even the how to's how to move
past this how to do that
try to double down on that stuff and i
think you'll do well
because your music is nice it's it's
very searchable content but yeah the
main place that you can
find me of the place that i've been
trying to push everybody lately is
is youtube and out of youtube
