mentoring program coming up for those
who are
wanting to uh step into um
their destiny uh with the healing arts
and so i'm gonna pretty much be teaching
everything that i've learned um about
one-on-one healing sessions about doing
consultations about
moving past any blockages that tell you
that you can't have it
like you can't step into your destiny
whatever that is and so for me it was
with the healing arts kind of getting
started there
but seeing how that healing permeates
everything that you do
um my music is about healing my
meditations are about healing this
podcast is about healing
understanding that you already are a

eight-week mentoring program that i'm
gonna go through with you so
if that interests you check it out it's
there for you
also um yep that's it without further
ado we're gonna bring on today's guest
i'm excited about this talk
my guest today is linwood jackson
lidwood welcome to the truthseeker
podcast man how are you
hey thank you for having me like
seriously
it's good to have you man been uh
listening to some of your stuff
as soon as your email came across uh my
desk or whatever i read it i was like
okay yeah we definitely can do a show on
this
and usually it doesn't take long to know
if i'll read the bio
i'll check out your work or whatever
boom yep that's a show we can do it
and uh but when i resonate with it and
some of the material that you're
bringing to the table
your beliefs and understanding about the
scriptures and the word of god so i was
like for sure
there's we can't talk about it enough
and especially in times like today where
um the bible is looked at and scoffed at
and looked at as something as
something primitive some that we've
transcended the bible
there's even a lot of christian
ministers out there that i know who are
like
you know they they don't even like
adhere to the bible anymore
like they you know what i'm saying like
it's like because they've graduated the
bible
you know i feel like that's part it's
it's forever going to be a part of our
walk
you know and so just beckoning people
to open it up to commune with the
creator and i feel like that's what your
work has uh
has tapped into how it's not a book of
rules and regulations even though there
are guidelines and things like that
but it is this exploration to commune
directly
with the creator of the cosmos so man
welcome to the show
and uh hopefully we can get into this
conversation but go ahead and give
people
um some of your background who you are
what you bring to the table and that
stuff but i'm looking forward to the
talk
for sure and you before you brought me
on you spoke about
destiny and you spoke about healing and
pretty much you know we have the same
point of view even though we attack it
from a different angle but
uh for me it's more of a little bit of a
controversy or a discussion between
the difference between religion and
personal
philosophy and that's that's where i
attack it from
me personally i began this journey
looking for
love love for my own self i went through
a couple things in my life that had me
questioned why i don't even have
knowledge
to know who i am personally why is it
that i have
information about who i am but the
knowledge of someone else is inside of
me about who i should be you know it's
sort of like
i have no knowledge of myself just
information on credentials
and so i had to just you know take a
step back and i opened up
the bible you know just because it was
it was in me i didn't i wasn't really
raised with any kind of religion but i
went out there and i saw the different
religions that were out there
and didn't really make sense logically
and so last gasp let's see what's going
on in this book
and so just looking for knowledge on how
to love myself better
and how to train myself to love myself
better and
from there just took off because the
philosophy was so real
and the more that i studied what that
philosophy in the bible was
the more that i actually saw the
pinpoints that the christian religion
fails to acknowledge
and that's basically what my books are
about i honest
and and i just published the book of
poetry um
called growth and this book of poetry is
my nine-year journey of putting the
bible's philosophy into practice
and the kind of conflict that can happen
between you know our thoughts and our
feelings when we're coming to love
ourselves
so each poem is just that conflict and
so that's that's that's where i'm at
right now and
in my discussion like you the movement
i'm in is
a movement similar to yours which is
destiny and healing
to get to that point you have to be
healed and to be healed you got to first
acknowledge that you need to be healed
yeah and that's you know that's one
thing that the
i guess the christians have down letting
you know that you're flawed kind of
thing and you're not complete and
but how to get back to that that's
definitely one thing that they
echo um but for you talking about
religion
versus personal philosophy right or
inward
and inward journey uh it's called a lot
of different names we can talk about
allegory and the different characters
and stuff
like that in the bible but like how did
that you know i'm saying come alive for
you was it just like
i'm searching for truth i pick up the
bible and boom there's these in
is it these is it did it speak to your
spirit like when you read it did you
know that like you weren't reading the
history book but you were reading about
your own life
as you're reading the scripture was that
did that come natural
it came natural only because i had an
intention to
want to know me first so if i didn't
have that intention i wouldn't have read
the bible as a book of
self-discovery as you know we we talked
before we came on
how the seminary trained are supposed to
look at the bible as a history book
from a hermeneutical perspective of how
they dissect it
which is completely not how it's
supposed to be looked at
the book in it of itself is not a book
on how
to live it's not a book on how to be
christian
it's a book on why not to be christian
in a sense why you should be you
and you break it down and that might
sound weird but
there's people out there that would like
to call themselves africans americans
or caucasians or asians
but when it comes down to it none of
these names exist like these are all
subcategories that were put on us
in a sense to create difference and so
when we're calling ourselves a religious
denominational name
we're then differentiating ourselves the
same way we would as we
would or other human beings we're all
human there's no category
and so like we're all human looking for
sense so to call ourself a christian
or whatever we would it kind of degrades
the philosophy that's in the bible that
aids the human condition for us to look
at each other equally
and inner allegory in the in the
it and it is like you know i think um a
lot of people know that there's
talked about uh you know the wheats and
the terrorists coming up together
you know and how like there will be
people among you who are not of you
kind of thing and the bible talks about
that a little bit as well um
but for you let's talk about let's talk
about who who the person
or the story whatever you believe about
jesus what is
jesus to you because i guess the even
the term christian in and of itself the
you know scripture says that
they were first called christians in
antioch this was a name placed on them
because they were
followers or what i would say they were
devotees
of the lord jesus christ right so they
were called christians and
um and the mystery of the gospel is
christian as far as christ in me i think
it's beautiful right that story coming
alive within us
um what does his story what does jesus
mean to you
and your perception with this inner uh
philosophical um
personal journey uh yeah
because um you go back to the book of
acts the book of acts is a record
breakdown
of that period you just talked about the
cr they were first called christians in
antioch
the if you follow the track of that
history
it wasn't actually individuals like me
and you calling ourselves christians
the religion that was developing from
the jews originally was a monopoly
and if you go back in history antioch
was a very
wealthy state and it was very unhealthy
spiritually
so the priests and ministers that were
there that called themselves christians
they actually did so to separate
themselves from the church that was in
jerusalem
and the church that was in jerusalem was
headed by peter paul james john and them
boys
and so there was a conflict in the book
of acts tells us this a conflict between
philosophy it was at this point the
religion of antioch or the church of
antioch the ministers they called
themselves christians
against the church that was at jerusalem
that philosophy
and at that point in time there were two
different because there was a different
jesus person being preached by the
christians
and going back to your um question for
me
how i began is when i started studying
the bible
i began to learn what the apostles
taught and not what the christians
taught
and so the inward movement that you
brought up that you see in me that we
both
clearly resonate with it comes from the
philosophy that the apostles taught
not the disciples as they're called in
the book of acts they were called
the disciples of the church at antioch
the ones at the church at jerusalem they
broke down the allegory
very very very minutely and it was
concrete
they went back and they studied moses
and paul in galatians chapter 3 tells us
that you know
he who was he who was hanged as a curse
by god basically is what moses said he
who was hanged as a curse by god
and the way that paul broke that down
was to look at it literally was to look
at
okay is it the man that's accursed by
god because
if the man hanging on the cross with his
arms open is
cursed why is he even relevant
so why why is this image of a person on
the cross even irrelevant if that's what
we're thinking literally
but paul and the apostles didn't break
it down literally they broke it down
allegorically
and in Ephesians 2 in verse 15 paul lets
us know that the body of the man
as he's hanging there it doesn't
represent an actual man
it represents a religious philosophy
that they carried
to basically denounce or
the actual method of mental and
spiritual healing
the jewish religion is a religion that
is devoted to ordinances
religious traditions customs
commandments
everything from theoretical theories
from theologians to
physical actions that you have to do in
order to believe you're favored by god
this is what that body on the the cross
represents it
represents that philosophy and to have
it broken down
is to see that that philosophy when it's
crucified as it's
allegorically represented in the body
that crucified body actually represents
the
deadening or the deadness of that that
custom belief
that you can eat a little
circular thing of bread and call it a
body
and you can drink a little thing called
wine and call it blood and believe that
you're cleansed
that that's that that's irrelevant now
according to the philosophy that the
apostles taught
what that body actually means with that
philosophy crucified
there is a new approach to the creator
and that new approach goes all the way
back to
the first book of genesis to creation
where it's not so much of a routine
being put in place
for you to feel like you're doing
something special it's more of a mental
and spiritual approach where you're
actually
recognizing and acknowledging words and
carrying those words out by an act of
faith
so in a sense by carrying out the
specific councils
using your hands in your mind daily
you're actually gain gaining like a
memory a mental footnote of what you're
doing to make the experience more real
yeah but i would say that it would be
the same thing for the the rituals too
because the rituals do that
right the rituals are like symbolic of a
deeper
inner truth you know what i'm saying
like uh whether it is communion or
something like that or
even um symbolism right you see the
symbol
whether it's the sign of the cross like
obvious whether somebody wears a a
necklace or
um something like that there's no power
in that necklace but the power is in
when i look at it it triggers something
again in my memory
of uh christ being real in my life or
performing these rituals because i think
there is a lot of power in ritual it's
all throughout the scriptures or
whatever so
are you kind of negating just ritual in
and of itself because like it kind of
seems like
um as you're pointing at some of the
different things in the old testament
and
going back to genesis how
it's it's the outer expression of an
inner truth which is where the power of
the ritual begins right
and that's actually where the weakness
is because if i have to look at
something across my neck to put myself
into a remembrance
i don't actually believe what that
remembrance actually is
that's why i'm wearing the thing on it
it's not real to me
if i have to look at something for me to
feel a kind of a sensualization about it
i'm materialized in my own personal
faith and that's not actually
real the and that you pointed that out
perfectly
that's the old that's why it's called
the old covenant or the old testament
it was the old way of doing things but
the new
testament or the new covenant it's found
in the expression of the abandonment
of that kind of old routine so that that
thing you're wearing across the neck or
you have it on the wall
or you have it next to the bed that
is supposed to be inside of you now
which is why it says
i will do this for me and for you
i will put my law in your inward parts
and i will write them on your heart
so if what i'm wearing around my neck is
supposed to remind me
that i'm supposed to love whatever i
imagine to love
that's not actually a writing going on
inside of me that's actually me
trying to carve out something special
but in a sense
i'm not really the experience is ruined
by the idol
which is which is actually you know if
we're going to
say that those 10 commandments are legit
the idol in and of itself is fraudulent
because it takes away from the true
essence of the experience
and the experience brings knowledge and
knowledge so you can live without an
idol and be free of all that vanity
so like that that's that's the main
thing behind the crucifixion it's
the the liberation from
physical the liberation from physical so
that
the mental can heal because when we can
heal from idols when we can heal from
rituals and customs and in ordinances
and
following these traditions then we can
actually learn what the real traditions
are
we can actually learn what the real
custom is we can we can learn what the
real experience is
and that's the point these customs idols
whatever it is
it's stopping us from being human it's
not growth
humans grow like we're supposed to be
growing the
like if you go back in history the
reason that we do have these things
in the christian church is because the
priests and the ministers
they found it quite you know logical to
dumb down what the apostles actually
taught so that
what they're saying could be more
believable because we believe
things that we can actually put a symbol
to or a resonance on
i feel like um you know i mean
talking about like communion or whatever
right you know it's it's
it was it was a commandment from christ
he said this do
in remembrance of me and i would say
that
for me um it's special to do that it
says as often as you come together do
this right the bread and the wine or
whatever
um it's because we forget it's because
we need to be reminded
like how often do we start something and
just because uh
you know whatever it is we forget about
it we forget our main reason
or what we started gets uh it turns into
something that we
we you know never dreamed it would be
right right we started
in in a good space and we ended up in
you know going to into religion and
churches and things like that
hold on man this is an empty religion
that i started with a supernatural
encounter with god and i
ended up in a dead religion like i need
to be reminded
right and so i feel like there's things
whether it's um
that for me honestly you know i'm saying
the scripture is written upon our hearts
right we know
when we steal we know when we commit
adultery like these things we know when
we do things we shouldn't right it goes
against our we sin against our own
bodies
and our own nature but for me like even
reading the scriptures
uh that's a reminder like right you know
what i'm saying like hold on let me
examine myself and so
examine yourself to what the inner truth
or the inner dialogue because i feel
like also like
people follow that light and they or
what they say it is and they end up in
some pretty weird places
that are like like contrary to uh
that doctrine if you will or contrary to
love
at its highest degree and they get there
because they
just follow the the inner voice or in a
guidance system as they say
so for me i really find something
special with with uh religious
routine that that offers if it's done in
the right light you know
and i would say that even with like
writing books and
creating music like you can listen to a
song and it inspires you or drives you
to tears to make you remember where you
were to make you remember why you got
into these things so i feel like
as we're made in the image of that
creator we create things whether it's
symbols or
songs or books or whatever that take
people on those journeys
and and it helps as long as it's due
it's taking them within
right as long as it's like showing them
that that light is within and being able
to tap into that communion
then we're doing something good like um
so i kind of tie them all together
anything that sparks that light within
you
that reminds you i got to be reminded
man you know what i'm saying but and
that's not to say that it's not real for
me
life is this this system that we're
living in is programmed
to excommunicate you and to make you
forget who you truly are
and they do a damn good job of it so i
really do believe in
not rituals for the sake of rituals but
as long as you're doing that ritual and
it reminds you
like even instantly like i can look at
the sunrise and boom that's a crew
that's my creator
i can feel the wind hit me on my skin
boom there he is you know that kind of
thing
um so what would you what would you say
to that i mean do
you get where i'm coming from of course
i do of course i do
but um and but to that i would also just
have
you remember the those matthew mark luke
and john they were written
50 years after the fact and
the the language that is in them that
they're written
they're written a language called hebrew
parallelism
which is a language that is not actually
factual
and to dissect that language
would take understanding the different
terms and the different
tense that's used when they're uttered
and
so like i completely feel you on
remember this
and the ritual was set up and but if you
actually go back and you you
look at what paul told the corinthians
about that same scene
it's not actually literal the bread and
water it's all symbolism
the bible is a is not a literal secular
book the bible is a book on religion
and John 4 24 god is spirit
and Luke 24 39 a spirit hath not flesh
and blood
so when we're reading the bible it's
very tricky because what we're actually
reading isn't for
flesh and blood we're reading things for
the mind
and so bread and wine wine in the bible
translates to doctrine
yeah or specific philosophy and so does
bread also
so when when when he does say do this in
remembrance of me the bread and the wine
it's not actually a literal
thing it's more of a study
just as you said examination thing the
bible is bread the bible is wine
and so what he's actually saying is his
words
and you know being mixed in with
religion
like they've made especially now as i go
through and
now as i dissect the actual philosophy
that's in there
and have a little bit more of history
and have a little bit more of the agenda
that was written
um by matthew mark luke and john which
actually are four different
characters called jesus they're not
actually the same matthew and luke the
character is born in different times
and the the you know there's little
schisms in these these four books that
when you read them literally
they can do things just as you said
people can go on a whole different path
but it takes patience and it takes
understanding how the bible
says how to learn its language to know
that
the specific routines and and all of
that as as
as well as you may see it i completely i
feel you on that i
i feel you on that but personally
John 4 24 god is a spirit there
in the bible there are two gods and you
know god translates to to wisdom
you go back and look at it in the greek
and the hebrew
so god actually to the writers in every
book of the bible means
wisdom in the actual language there's
two wisdoms in the bible
the first wisdom is knowing the creator
through rituals traditions
and commandments from priests and
ministers ancient and modern
the second god that is in the bible is
the god of creation
or that wisdom of creating the inward
person
without limiting that inward person by
rituals traditions and commandments
and the prophet that we see today just
as you said the prophet is on that
that other wisdom where whether it's
religious or secular
routines and traditions are set up in
both religious and sectarian societies
sorry sectarian and secular societies
there are
standards of how we should see ourselves
but when it comes down to
that second conflicting wisdom in the
bible
which is handling our reality not
necessarily physically but
first mentally to know what we should do
physically
that's when that illumination comes up
and
that's when we know this is this is who
i'm supposed to be
i'm not supposed to define myself by by
something
set up by a priest or a minister or like
as i'm reading this i'm
going to study this because i'm not
supposed to
just hear it and do it like if
god is a creator and if there is an
intelligence out there
why would he be so ignorant to just
reduce me to this
to do this routine this this routine
ignorance of
symbolism because i'm simply when i die
that's it
no consciousness but i have
consciousness
for a reason to motivate my body
positively so is my body supposed to
positively motivate my mind
or is my mind supposed to positively
motivate my body
and you know what i'm saying yeah i
think vice versa though
yeah i think they complement one another
i think the body is fearfully and
wonderfully made and so
there's ways that literally our body can
get in communion with god and remind us
and things like that so
i look at it vice versa but i do as you
explain that a little bit better i
definitely see where you're coming from
uh more of the uh uh spiritual and and
the
um allegory even within the new
testament and
if i have to be quite honest with you
i'm more of an old testament
allegory guy and so for the most part i
like to see
the new testament as literal for the
most part even though there's allegory
and there's different
different ways to interpret it in levels
to it um
and i and i know it makes it feel like
it's more real but there's definitely
those
other ways to interpret it but me
personally i do like to look at it as
literal
not all right it's literal but all these
literals they have
four different ways to interpret it's
the spiritual the esoteric
the literal and the allegorical like
there's all those different ways to
break it down
depending on where you are in your life
you're going to get something different
but i definitely understand
the uh you know the the whole symbolism
with the bread and the wine and it being
doctrine and uh sustenance even bread
and sustenance and so
you need that and his word is is that um
the word of god even versus not the it's
not the written word but it's expressed
through the written word right the word
of god is the essence the logos of god
even i was reading this morning i was
reading into first samuel and it was
talking about
he knew he said he knew not yet the word
of
god or the word of the lord and i don't
think that was talking about the law of
moses
right legit jesus he did not know god's
word that speaks through as i'm reading
here in the chat
the breath the air the water the
elements the intellect right god speaks
through everything if we can listen
so i think that that's when we're
talking about the word of god
um there's a there's a little bit more
to it there than just
but i do i do agree that the the bible
is the written word
of god now there's different you gotta
you gotta be one who has studied and
intellect and be able to break it down
uh the book of corinthians as we were
kind of talking about before we went
live
corinthians tells us that you have to be
illuminated with the light of the holy
spirit to even be able to understand
what they're talking about in the bible
and we know that that's kind of like the
opposite of what you're saying what they
teach in seminary
that these are uh history books and
you you'll be able to understand it if
we teach you versus we understand that
conversation i was having with my
brother yesterday that life is the best
teacher
like god is hands-on you have to learn
by experience you're not going to get
the essence and
esoteric mysticism or whatever it is
you're looking for out of a book
any book but it's about when your life
is illuminated when your heart is
illuminated
then you're able to read the scriptures
and understand what they're talking
about
because you think it's talking about
other people you think it's talking
about somebody else
until you're illuminated to say oh man
this is about me and i believe that
jesus did the same thing as he's
teaching in the temples
they're reading these prophecies in the
old testament he said hey hey
you guys know that's talking about me
right and they like
you know tore their clothes you know and
and rebuked them and sent them out
i feel like we're in in that same
conversation
that hey you know that's talking about
me right it's when you're
when you understand what the scriptures
are talking about and how to apply them
to your life do you really understand
the
the secrets of the allegory and he also
said if a man loved me he will keep my
words
you are clean by the word that i have
spoken not by the ritual i have
whatever it comes down to words
even that same scene you were talking
about he says
speaking about the god of the bible the
real factual wisdom that is in the bible
for inward healing
i know him and i keep his saying
the man did no ritual like he was raised
a jew
this was a jewish individual but at the
same time he's
preached a different philosophy than the
jews which is why he was crucified
yeah and so it comes down to am i going
to know the saying
or am i not going to know the same
like just as you said there is a deeper
level to that word well what is that
word
well that word is the essence that is in
the ink like we're not supposed
to be the ink the ink is supposed to
enliven who we
are and that can only be had mentally
and so like i feel i feel everything
you're saying about the routine and
everything that gives it a more lively
essence but at the end of the day
we're more mind than matter as a matter
of fact we're
we're more energy than anything else
and words give us energy
and just as the routines also give us
energy but it depends on what kind of
energy we're looking for
when i hear god as a spirit and a spirit
hath not flesh and blood
that lets me know that what i'm reading
is not supposed to become
something that makes me believe i am a
tradition
something that makes me believe i am the
practice if i do this practice
then i am this i'm supposed to
i'm supposed to take knowledge as it
says in first samuel
the lord is a god of knowledge and
to me that weighs a lot because in
Proverbs 11 verse 9
the just are delivered through knowledge
Isaiah 53 by his knowledge many shall be
justified
everything has to do with as you said
experience
experiencing those words and putting
them into physical
practice mentally
and to me that's the that's that's the
drawback is i've come back and i've
spoken to different ministers
and the different different people out
there that you know
not even ministers to believe in what
they're preaching i think you told me
that when we were offline you said
a same kind of sentence i'm speaking to
ministers
that they don't believe what they're
preaching anymore because
the logic in the seminary just just
isn't relevant anymore
and being in this age of information
we're also in an age of philosophy
and so like there's different
philosophies of religion out there
there's different philosophies of the
christian religion out there
and you pointed out like beautifully
that it's been tarnishing
the essence that is in the bible and so
like for me
my the movement i'm in is to just
get minds to recognize that the words
are more than what they seem
and that these words although the
argument is out there from whoever that
they're written by human beings
so be it know the words to study them as
they're supposed to so you can know that
it's beyond
finite understanding and so i feel you
on that
um so how would how would somebody um
engage this way because i would say that
a lot of those people that we're talking
about
a lot of them even their motives are
good like their motives of going to
seminary their motives of studying and
you know learning as much of the
scriptures as they can and wanting to
teach it and wanting to explain it
a lot of them their motives are good but
they they just don't get it
have they not been illuminated or does
it take
i know there's different ways that it
happens but what would you say for the
people who want to do that because i
feel like
a lot of them they think they're doing
the right thing you know what i'm saying
like how do you
like make sure that you're getting the
most out of it and how this is
that this can be real for the people
reading it
i would just tell you what paul says i
die daily
so it's it's almost like what are you
what are you dying to daily
in in paul's sense since we're talking
about ministers
and paul was in that kind of field
he was once a pharisee and a pharisee
was a religious denomination of the jews
you know phariseeism mixing with the
stoicism and became
a modern thing he dropped that
phariseeism he dropped
that and became nothing
just a simple learner endure of the
words in scripture
and i think that's that's where it comes
from because
the illumination part when it hits you
you can't deny it and i think part of
that has to do with a bit of denial
denying the the actual hit of the
feeling
and turning into a place that is
supposedly training you
on um what is in the bible
but it's not necessarily what is in the
bible that they're training you on and
so
the backlash of that is you're missing
out not just on your own personal
experience but on the actual philosophy
itself
and how do you start that it just
depends on you being real to you
like literally it just depends on you
being absolutely real acknowledging that
i don't know where to go i have no one
to teach me
the only one that i have to teach me is
absolutely invisible
and above my sensation and putting all
of that
into words and i can say that
you know from my nine years doing this
doing that it's been
it's been honestly real it's it's been
real it's been
educational and the fun part is is the
creation that you
actually witness inside of you from
those words those words are real
lively words that will create you you
will not need anything else if all
you're dedicated to
is applying those words for a diet
personally and i think it has to do with
you know the age that we're in is an age
of
you know or attention span is just
nothing right now and
we're so more interested in information
than actual true knowledge and
it comes down to the age and what we've
been centralized to
believe is is is worth our time and it
may be
you know to some or too many
worth time to specialize in something
called religion
in and not actually the personal
development of a philosophy that you can
live and die by
now let me ask you this what um what
good
is religion or christianity doing if any
um i feel like again there's people who
started out
in a truth and i just my story is i got
born again at a uh a prayer meeting at
somebody's house
and then to kind of build upon that that
encounter
and it was it was literally like
beautiful out out-of-body experience
the holy spirit came and filled me like
it was amazing
you know um just upon not acknowledging
the work that christ done right that
kind of thing so to build upon that
we started going to church because
that's what everybody did but the church
like i got free of a lot of stuff but i
learned religion
and didn't even know it right and so
they kind of a lot of them would explain
away
that experience and say um but i think
going in we
we have um you know
right motives we're trying to we have an
encounter with
the divine and then we're trying to grow
in that encounter or
um and a lot of people get mixed up and
they fall
into religion and they abandon their
first love if you will and i think
that's why god's like go get back to
your first love remember
um so do you like anything about
christianity i feel like a lot of the
the a lot of
i would say rituals but the spiritual
practice that they do
echoes a lot of ancient stuff that was
done
as far as like music and speaking in
tongues and
laying on of hands and healing and
energy where like they they're still
even though they don't call it a lot of
that stuff like that's
those are ancient practices that many
are still doing or whatever and they
well they think it's privy just to them
i will say that
when it's not but i do i do like the
fact that
they make it easy you know what i'm
saying so is there anything that that
that you appreciate about modern
christianity
um anything i appreciate
honestly i can't say because it takes
away from the actual philosophy that's
in the bible
it has monetized the bible and
physically secularly religiously
monetized and it's
it's it's not healthy because the
the religion of the christian that was
developed
um as we went back and spoke about
antioch
there was another jesus being preached
the christian religion is actually a
roman religion
the jewish ministers when they were when
they started calling themselves
christians
they adopted the roman religion into
their practice
and so a lot of the traditions for
example december 25th
the eating of the bread and the wine all
of this
is is not actually rail from the bible
it's it's from as you said ancient lore
these jewish christian ministers they
mixed roman paganism
into the christian religion and gave
birth to a new jesus
and so i i don't know if you ever heard
of mithra or
yep mithra mithra was translated into
jesus mithra became jesus to the
christian religion
and before they called him mithra he was
called apollo i don't know if you know
who apollo is
so before yep mithra before that apollo
you know before that you know it was um
baal
and you go even before that Ezekiel 8
tells us the name was tammuz
so so this this this this it's just a
religion that keeps on
becoming more modernly pagan and
the good thing i would say about it is
that for a real person it's connected to
the bible
and so if you're real about what you're
going through you're going to
eventually cut off that and you're going
to turn to the bible for health
because you're going to see that this
this this isn't enough
and when you see that it's not enough
you either have two decisions you either
have okay i'm just going to stay in it
and
will that it be enough and one day a
preacher might say something to make me
feel okay in my head
or you go i'm a person
i need help i'm not getting it from
anybody
these words if they're really that real
i'm going to test them
and that's that's the alternate route
you become an enemy of the church
hey there's a lot of people there man i
was there
you know and um a lot of people are
there they got a target on their back
and don't even know it
because they are illuminated in that
system
and there's little there's little things
that identify that you know especially
when it comes to prayer and like
people will come to you like a random
young person in the church for prayer
versus going to the minister because you
carry this fire
and this hunger for the things of god so
they come to you
and when the pastor sees that because
they're they're power driven
that's their money their money that's
monetized so if they come to you
for prayer versus them you get food out
of their mouths
man i've seen that so so much it
happened to me and a bunch of other
young ministers who started out
in the church and and god was using and
their prayers had power
like things happened when they spoke
they really believed
the word you know and it was real
and uh but yeah when you do that you get
a target on your back and for those who
buddy i believe it is the wheat and the
terrorists coming up together
like side by side shoulder to shoulder
and don't even know it that there's
people who are here
by religion there was an interesting
thing
that and it really helped me in my
awakening it was uh
what's his uh billy graham said billy
graham talked about
um towards the end of his life that that
he was talking to robert shuler in a
interview and they asked him
do you think that there was going to be
a great awakening where everyone would
come to
christ and people go to church and all
that kind of stuff and billy graham said
no
like we're not going to see that he said
but we will see that god has a
and this was powerful he said people for
his name's sake
in maybe the muslim faith maybe they're
hindus
maybe they don't even have never even
heard that name of jesus
but they're part of the body of christ
and when he said that it's like man
there's just there was this uh
inclusiveness that god would deal
righteously
with people no matter where they are who
they are i think the book of acts even
says that god will deal righteously with
you if you will repent of your sin
like if you turn from your sin and
follow the creator
which his laws are written on our hearts
romans tells us that
um but when when billy graham said that
i was like man he knows a little bit
more
at the end of his race you know he's
been the greatest evangelist of our day
or whatever
and at the end of his life he's given
some of these deep truths that god is
dealing with people
outside of the religion of christianity
i thought that was really deep
legit i mean end of the day it's just
it's just a religion and there's always
going to be people in
a religion but at the same time there's
always going to be
seekers inside of a religion
that are not going to be knowing that's
a religion i mean
most often not they might turn into
atheists
but then again if you are going against
the religion and bringing up knowledge
you are against that
practice but you're not actually
you're aiding it and i think that's
really what what's really going on
if that is going on because as i go into
these churches and as i
i speak to different ministers the
religion is getting tired
it's it's getting tired there's no
concrete fact
the the jesus of of the christian
religion is
it's not enough to just simply say i
cast all my sins on thee
it's we're too intelligent for that and
the bible in and of itself lets us know
that there is more to that than that
saying
and i think as i'm speaking publicly and
as i'm going to different places
i'm seeing that that is actually more of
what the call is for
it's more of a how and why and what is
sin actually defined as
not from a theological perspective or
not from a
general human perspective but how does
the bible define sin
because if the bible's talking about sin
and cleansing it i have to know how to
be cleansed from the kind of sin that
the bible talks about
i don't i'm tired of just assuming my
sin is pornography
i'm tired of assuming my sin is digging
36 holes in my garden when i know i
shouldn't
you know it's it's it comes down to at
this point in time
the people that i'm i'm that are
reaching out to me and that i'm talking
to
it's more about knowledge now it's it's
not about assuming anymore
it's more about what does the bible say
about the definition
of this and so like in that sense
what you're saying is absolutely like on
point because there will be
individuals that are digging for those
those those facts that
that point not to traditional
theological assumptions
but to actually what's in the bible like
what does it actually say about the
definition of sin what is sin
and so like that's that's what i write
about that's what i talk about
and the more that i do talk the more
that
and you know what that is the good thing
about the christian religion because
you're raised in so much tradition by
the time you hear something factual you
go i know that wasn't true yeah that's
what we're doing now we're on
this the whole thing is unlearning
exactly that's that's that's the whole
process is
unlearning and uh that's the perfect
word for it
you know the the the traditions of men
is what the scripture says and which was
honestly the enemy of christ like
which was the traditions of the
pharisees and the sadducees you know
they and even before that but they they
touted their
uh religious routines and rituals over
the law of god and they were they
thought that they were made clean
because of those rituals right which is
what's still going
because it was an outer appearance right
exactly it was an outer form
uh even those in the um um
in the scriptures that were talking
about like they would pray
in the streets openly with like vain
repetitions to be heard of men
right they wanted people to see how
godly they were they wanted people to
see when
when when godliness uh is something that
goes on within you
right it's a peace it's an inner knowing
it is that gnosis right
um when it comes to spirituality right
all of this stuff for me is part of
spirituality
it is that gnosis it is that knowing so
that when i go in to commune
in my daily walk and and part of that is
reading
but knowing that it's it's a divine
reading it's a divine knowing that when
i open the scriptures god is going to
speak to me today to know it sure and
and it's different than just let me get
my reading done to say that i read today
even let me try to get something to
teach like that's a different way to
approach the bible but versus like
let me spend time with the creator
because this word is alive
it knows everything about me it knows
what i'm going through it knows what i
need today
if it's a hug it's going to give me a
hug if it's a slap in the face
it's going to give me a like it's a it's
a teacher like it's a good teacher
which is the holy spirit that speaks
through the word right
um for you in spiritual practice whether
it's meditation whether it's prayer
whether it's connecting with
the divine or angels or demons and all
of that kind of stuff
what does spirituality look like as far
as
i don't want to use the word ritual but
a spiritual routine that you do
you know uh to me basically it's
i would define true spirituality is
living by the knowledge you've acquired
from what you study personally
so that's basically plain and simple i'm
giving you the bible definition of what
spirituality is
it's as paul says in Ephesians 4 be
renewed by the spirit of your mind
it's what he says in Romans 12 verse 2
be transformed by the renewing of your
mind
if you can this this is the true and
absolute definition
of spirituality because you're not
limited
by another person's opinion you're not
limited by
your own perception of what you think
you're reading
you're not limited by anything that is
supposed to be some kind of
back to a reminder the only thing
guiding you
is the knowledge that you have failed at
and practiced and failed at
and practiced and failed that and
practiced and have perfected
to me that's as that's that's the bible
definition of what true spirituality is
so on a daily basis going through those
times where
man i didn't really understand what that
meant but i just did something and now i
understand it yeah and that's
and that's that's that's what it comes
down to that's the whole point
bettering or human condition because
we're naturally fraudulent
and so we're naturally going to
gravitate to what is fraudulent we're
actually going to think that it's not
fraudulent
but the the council that is in the bible
is for enlightening us two fraudulents
outwardly and also inwardly balancing
that out on a daily basis as a diet
that is the true and ultimate definition
is that i would say
and and that speaks to everything that
speaks to every aspect of your life
of spirituality of carnal nature of sin
again really understanding that and you
getting that idea
you know there's different somebody's
asking can sin be different
for everyone and people want to know
what sin is and i think like what you
just said
um learning by experience i think we
learn what sin is
by experience hands-on like what it for
me
the definition is simple repent turn
from the things that are killing you
what is killing you if it's pornography
addiction turn from you turn from it
if it's overeating like literally
destroying your health
turn from it like learn to balance all
things in moderation
um and turn from the things that are
killing you and that is not a checklist
that is not what some look because what
is what sin for you or what is
beneficial for you
may destroy someone else right so you
have to
you have to know yourself and so it
becomes real and you don't know that by
reading it in a book
you can have a head knowledge or
whatever but you know it because you
know inwardly
it's not a it's not a blind faith i
wrote a lyric yesterday it's an ancient
inner knowing you have this inner
knowing
because you've experienced it because
you know nobody can take that away from
you
and say oh yeah you could do it man just
you can't
because to you it's destruction it's
different for everybody and that's the
part of knowing thyself and so
um failing failing fail often you know
to understand what what's gonna work and
what's not gonna work and learning from
your mistakes and
i really feel like uh that's the way god
teaches us just through hands-on
learning again you can read it in
scripture but until you've experienced
it you're not gonna get it
six years later you've had a lot of life
experience
may not even have been in the scriptures
you come back to it
with your life experience boom it makes
sense man it makes sense pride comes
before a fall
remember i used to read that until i was
able to see it in my own life
when i got prideful and felt and being
able to see it in ministers
and in friends and in people who were
puffed up and prideful and then they
fall into a marriage
situation or they cheat on their wife
and it happens to the best of them
that scripture didn't become real until
i was able to see it
now can i now i can identify it it's
familiar
i could see people stepping into that
pride that comes before a fall hey
again hey chill out man you're me chill
out derek
calm down you know if it comes real to
you if it's not real then it's just a
story
it's a you know it has to be real
legit and i'd even take that a step
further because the bible is um not
firstly a secular book
in a sense of saying that everything is
physical
or sin is defined as a physical thing
the bible is the first
is firstly a book of mental the bible is
firstly a book of
correcting religion so when it comes to
sin according to the bible the
definition of sin it's firstly handled
as
religious practices good and unnecessary
religious practices
so adding on to what you are saying i'm
gonna just add on to also that
there is greater sin there's greater
error
in how we handle our personal spiritual
relationship with the creator
it's how we handle that and learn what
is
erroneous in that first instance that
then we gain a respect for
ourself that we can then say you know
what i need to stay away from that
so like it's it's that that's that's the
downfall of what christianity is it
doesn't really teach you the definition
of sin christianity teaches you that you
are sinful
but why how am i sinful
it doesn't really tell you that firstly
your personal religious
habit your personal religious faith it
needs to be washed and cleansed
not your body first and so by
the christian religion continually
saying that you're sinful and you need
these practices to be okay
it's completely taken away from the fact
that your inward person
is not healthy and that's what the man
himself said
look at you with your outwardly but did
not he who make that which is outward
make that which is within
to them no because that was the
pharisaical religion
which today the pharisees became the
christian religion
it can't handle what is within it can
only handle what is without
and that's the error that's the downfall
and so to like look at that
and then to see why am i like this way i
need to turn to jesus but the more i
turn to jesus the more i keep doing
what's negative
why do i have a repeating cycle what's
not being handled inside of me where i'm
continually doing sin
i'm repenting i'm doing what i think is
wrong but i'm repenting i'm doing what i
think is wrong but
why isn't the repenting permanent like
what's going on here well it's not true
repenting if it's not permanent right
because you can't exactly
you're missing the knowledge part
there's no real correction
yeah well that's the only way you can
it's not just saying hey i'm going to
stop
you don't know how to stop right these
scriptures teach you
how to stop and that's the benefit of
having it
in the mind in the mind first
and then it can it can handle like
outwardly
and that's just the beauty of it the
book is even though it's physical even
though
again it's written by ink you know paul
tells again the corinthians
or my mind is not supposed to be written
with ink
but with the living words of the living
god
and to me that's it
that's the definition of spirituality
whatever is considered inc is considered
physical
considered routine like these things can
only do so much
you know you know what i mean it's like
if i didn't have a body what would i be
if i didn't have a body to do a routine
what would i be well then god has given
us a body for what
to execute the essence that is in us not
to let
the some kind of outward essence somehow
dictate
live out through our body like we have
to become beyond informed
about who we are personally and who the
living god is
his character the character of his
religion the character of his philosophy
if not we're just going to be walking
theologians and don't even know it
and that's kind of what i like to bring
out is the difference you know these
theories
they can only do so much that that are
that are taught to us
yeah and everybody wants to say these
experiences
i'm cool with theories but i can't
impart a theory to you
i can only impart without what i've
experienced and what i know and what i
carry
and and we can't get to the bottom of
theories and
and what is it uh i think it's titus
that talks about that and timothy like
don't get caught up in these theories
conspiracy
science falsies
endless questions because
it's like trying to find the bottom of
the ocean floor you'll never find it
it is not a foundation um but the mind
can wander you can't have the heart to
explore
but you got to make sure you're doing
that off of the off of your foundation
which is truth
which is that you know i go on a lot of
um
spiritual talk shows and stuff and talk
to people and i try to
put it in terms that they can understand
and what's good about the bible and
uh is the fact that we have um we have
a grid for what spirituality is we have
a grid on how to pray
we have a grid on how to communicate
what type of character we should have
versus not having that foundation of
anything so
um because a lot of people are chasing
they're looking for god but they're
and listen in the seeking process is
key you're seeking that's you got it
right you're starting there
um but they are they never come to a
knowledge of the truth
they never come to this knowledge of of
um application and fellowship
with the creator and that's what it's
about and you don't have to look far for
that
you don't have to look far from that it
is is knowing that you know the
scriptures are true like you said
that god loves me i feel like that's
part of it that he he accepts me
that i am cleansed that i am made
righteous in his sight
that he wants to to know my name that he
knows every
hair that's numbered on my head like
knowing these inner truths and
and those get deeper and deeper and
deeper like as you kind of
you know find time in the presence and
and even know that that's a thing you
read it in the scriptures and then you
up and then you experience it
i experience it through prayer i
experience it through consciousness
throughout my daily life once i learn it
i read about it
and then i go experience it and in the
same way i experience life and then i
read about it in the word
it's real it's a mirror it's a mirror
it's an eternal mirror that's
reflecting your soul scripture says you
know it says that
you know and people in those movements
and things um you know look at it as a
book of control
a book of that's uh you know rules and
regulations
it's because they judge it off of the
opinion of these so-called ministers or
most people the only uh idea of a
christian or jesus or the bible they
have is fred phelps
you know that with uh you know i'm
saying the westboro baptist church god
hates
[Â __Â ] like that's your only when so when
it comes to hey read the bible man god
loves you he's going to speak to you
through it hell no
if that's the bi if that guy is the
bible reader no
you know and so i think it's for us to
to to represent
what christ is to represent what the
word is to represent it to represent it
and first of all show it in your life
i got a lot of friends who are like
street ministers and stuff and they're
really big on preaching and stuff
but i'm really big on letting your life
do the preaching for you
all right let me see it let me see it in
your life let me see you walking in
peace let me see you
uh walking in truth don't tell me what
true spirituality is show me
and it goes back to i can show you
better and i can tell you you know if it
ain't if it ain't real
that you know you're just spotting off
doctrines and beliefs which can change
change like i can talk you out of a
doctrine i can talk you out of belief i
can't talk you out of this
intimate knowing the creator of the
cosmos
which beckons you to a relationship
through the word
and that's what we i mean
and that's that's everything that you're
saying it just goes back to just harp on
the point of
like in Matthew 15 verse one right when
these when the scribes and the pharisees
saw the man walking the man they called
jesus
the first thing that said they said to
him was
how come you and your apostles do not
follow the traditions of the elders
Matthew 15 1-2 so
there's a difference between the man and
the the character that's created because
the character that the christian was in
is created has created someone that is
around a routine
you follow a tradition to honor the
creation of this this
but the actual man was against that well
let's look at this too
just because like in ancient ancient
religion
you know a lot of them still practice it
today what happens when you abandon the
religion of your fathers what do they
what do they want to do to you
oh they want to kill you they want to
kill you and so you're saying
jesus that's why they abandoned the
religion of his fathers
that's why they wanted to kill him he
not only he not only abandoned
the religion of
the jewish fathers he reinstated the
tradition of the living god
from genesis chapter one and two
so when it comes to the real man versus
the character
there's a distinction that needs to be
made because when we're doing these
things
we're going against the standards of the
real man
the real man not the the blonde-haired
blue-eyed character that always has a
son behind his head because
before he was called the sun god before
he was called jesus
that's why the symbolism of the sun is
behind his head
the real man himself was against
everything we know today as modern
religion and christianity
but at the same time he wasn't hard
he wasn't just walking up and throwing
bricks into places
he was as you say enlightening
doctrinally and philosophically
telling lightning within answering
questions with questions
because you already had the answer
within you before you even asked it and
he understood that
and they told them hey show us the
kingdom of god if this is all you teach
well the kingdom of god is within you
really how does it get there if a man
loves me he will keep my words
everything comes down to words by his
knowledge he shall justify
many Isaiah 53 this was the man that was
prophesied to come
the one that taught by knowing the words
you grow closer to the creator by
growing closer to the creator you
understand who you
are by understanding who you are you can
benevolently aid
another mind suffering or you can
benevolently aid
another mind who is happy not
the character that we know who is
initiating these different routines for
worship
because it contradicts what the real man
actually taught
and so like just knowing these little
things
you realize that even though there's a
benefit to it at the same time there's a
complete
violation yeah of the me of the real man
himself
and also of the living god also
and also of the experience that we are
supposed to have
as human beings and to me that's
that's that's that's my movement right
there like
my movement is you're a person you are a
male you are a
female you're not supposed to look to
society into the world
for a critique of who you should be your
identity
your exactly your your philosophical
identity should come from you
experiencing and because there's only so
much in us i can only say
and just go out and experience the world
i can only say that so much
because there's only so much in us but
when you have
counsel that is beyond you which is the
words that are in the bible and when you
can study them
piece by piece and point by point you
then have a gauge where you can just
match your experience with
you can have a better standard of
morality and of also
a devotional relationship to match that
perfectly
and that's in that's the essence of what
the philosophy of the bible is
so you would say that our
our our walk should should mirror that
of jesus like he showed us how to
walk on the earth he showed us how to
love he showed us how to forgive he
showed us how to know god
so he is a model a lot of people call
him a brother like jesus is my brother
kind of thing and
and he kind of modeled that walk do you
so you try to model your walk after what
he did
in a sense but also in addition to that
because the matthew mark luke and john
they lightly paint a picture of a
character
of of christian folklore i would go back
to isaiah where isaiah actually gives a
little bit of a more factual account of
the man
where isaiah says he awakeneth me
morning and evening
morning and evening i study he wakeneth
me and i've not turned away back
so it's it's more than showing because
it's how does he show kindness how are
you so
kind how are you so good how is your
walk so strong
how is the man doing this all we're
given is just this and it's just say
be like this the question is how well
isaiah tells us
and he tells us every morning i wake
every evening
i'm i'm i'm dedicated examining it's
mental
mentally applying the words down is how
the aspect of forgiveness and honesty
sincerity
of how it can all go down in a factual
sort of way to us
so in a sense yes i i
mirror the actual man the actual man's
routine
in the sense that the actual man before
he did all of that goodness and kindness
he first studied the words that made an
impression on his mind
so like that that to me is
key because i keep sure because if if i
just
if i just go out into the world and i
say i'm gonna do good today
my good can actually hurt somebody so it
comes down to how do i define
good what is the definition of good and
if i'm going to be as good
as the bible defines good should be how
does the bible define the word good
and it comes down to a mental and a
spiritual understanding of that language
and of that context and that's how the
actual man lived
and that's what the actual man taught
and so in a sense yeah
i mean i'm down with that i put that in
the practice
that route that that that habit of
examining words
and from those words applying them
to my own personal character to know how
to really define
good and error and so yeah i mean
i i always have to say i always have to
make a distinction because there's a
character that the christian religion
created and then there's the real man
that the bible teaches
so i practice the routine of the real
man
yeah and um but you know without
you know taking some some heed to those
gospels like you
you really wouldn't know what prayer or
what devotion and those kind of things
look like without
following his you know what he did and
it's pretty clear that he was given over
to
like you said the devotion and stuff as
well legit um
which is a huge part it's not and i want
to say that because
like there's a distinction like the his
words are spirit the word is alive
there's so many people i feel like i
feel like what you're talking about and
what we're
a part of is um what is known as
the um narrow path
and if you go too far to the right you
get off you go too far to the left you
get off and let's say the right
is the uh christianity in the church
and there are truthers seekers again who
are in
they've went they're in religion but
they are true seekers
um and and they're off on a lot of
things right
and then there are all those people who
go to the left let's look at that as
being
uh in the word and like they're just
again they're
all they are is word there's no spirit
they study they're given the study they
know that it's true they know that it's
life they know that the commandments are
truth but but there's no spiritual
connection there the words don't have
that spark to them
they have just begun they turned into
rules and regulations and do's and
don'ts
and i say that because in my walk i've
been in charismatic christianity right
far right and then i've kind of been in
a religious tradition on the far left in
the hebrew israelites and learning under
them
both of those companies have great truth
and they have a lot of
good things that they do but they're but
they're missing it
because the spirit's not there like
they're not they're not tapped into the
true essence of
how real god is and how but i feel like
in the middle it's a little bit of both
of that it is the spiritual expression
that
many in the church still still still do
and it is
that study and knowing the scriptures
and
and feeding off of the scriptures day
and night as in some of those on the
left through the religious
um hebrew israelite type groups or
whatever
because they're given to the word they
they teach you how to tear that thing up
it's good i learned so much from them
but i feel like there's a balance in the
midst of it all
if you're going to be in that world
there there's all there will be a
balance if you're going to
if you're going to be in that world
there's there's there's a balance in all
kind of worlds
but for me
the balance is personal um
like the words the bible in itself is
the counselor
the bible in itself is the philosophy
well it's
you could say that but it's not you have
to have the spirit behind it
because many people read that to their
own demise they read it and now they do
what you do
and kill witches today you need a reason
you need to read it thou
shalt not suffer a witch to live like
you know what i'm saying they read it to
their own mind the mind so that's why i
mean having the spirit behind it
because it because there's again people
read it to you know god hates gays like
do you read it to your own demise
you know what i'm saying it's tough i
you asked me about the ministers and
what
what like what somebody desiring to know
more can do
and the only thing i can say is you need
a reason
and it's it's that it's that real reason
that keeps you straight
as it is straight and narrow like it's
that real reason that doesn't
that doesn't make you slide like for
the the reason is for me personally is
the definition of love
and it's still the definition of love
how not only to
love who i am personally but how i can
also give what is in me
outwardly as an extension of that that
love
and so it's it's that reason that
because
of that reason i know i don't really
need what's out there
and it's because of that reason that
i've learned
what is in the bible to know that what
is out there is not healthy
it's not healthy for my experience it's
not healthy for my
person and it's not healthy for what i'm
trying to do as
as far as a legacy goes and so like
you can never get away from that the
fact of a spirit being behind you
because if you if you have that spirit
that's a reason
to me personally it's the reason that
guys the search into the philosophy
it's the reason that purifies the
philosophy and the search at the same
time
and that's really what it comes down to
like how how
genuine is your reason how is your
is your reason so gen if you love
someone
like if you know a girl is so dope and
you
love that girl you are not going to be
talking to any other girls
you're not going to be looking at any
other girls you're not going to be doing
anything if you know that your car
is so dope you know your car is just the
car
you're not going to be searching for
another car
exactly and that's a lesser or
a mimic or a offshoot and that goes back
to what i was saying about having that
encounter
with god and then settling
for religion exactly you know it's
lesser
that the experience is counterfeit
that's the counterfeit
and that and that's and that's exactly
what the bible
that's why the paul Ephesians 4 be
renewed in the spirit of your mind
Romans 12 verse 2 be transformed by the
renewing of your mind by proving
that good and perfect will of god for
yourself
nothing extra not you don't need
anything because it's all fraudulent
that's that's that's it like
there's nothing that you need if if
really you want the creator
does the creator right now can we see
the creator with hands and legs
about doing something eating something
drinking something
on a daily basis for a routine is this
really that creative
if he doesn't have this and i can't see
him doing this
why am i going to have this and why am i
going to believe that this is a
sanctioned
thing especially when the bible
teaches that it's you know kind of
contrary
and it goes back to the different
philosophies from the old testament and
the new testament because the
philosophies are different
and there was a carrying over because of
that crucifixion
a cutting off or an annihilation
from those old former ways to the new
to the new and more habitual way of
writing inwardly
if a man loved me he will keep my words
daily dissecting those words he wakeneth
me mourning
and i have not turned away back it's
it's that it's that that
constant digging in of if my love is so
real
i want to read that love letter if my
love is so real i don't need
anything but that love letter if that's
a letter of love to me
i'ma know it or if i don't know it i'm
gonna die knowing it
i'm with you let's let's speak to this a
little bit i know i mentioned it at the
beginning just a little bit but again
there's a growing
sect of uh christians and even i have a
friend of mine here says the only
the bible can only teach you so much
like you know you can only
know so much until uh you have to maybe
again transcend the bible
what about that idea but i'll say that
in the midst of that
a lot of these people would they say
that and then they
you know have all these other
philosophies that they've kind of
incorporated that go against the bible
you know it may and i have fallen victim
of that many times and but
it's when i go back to the word that i
am broken that i am i do crucify my ego
and i'm able to uh you know let those
other
egotistical things fall off of me by
getting back
in it it's okay man i started believing
some things that were not god
like his in my the character that i made
up again
goes against you know we have these
idols this idolatry but
for those who would say that and i've
talked to many ministers and
and many um people within more i would
say charismatic there's a mystical
christian movement that's evolving and a
lot of them
still hold to the idea that you don't
need the bible
god is bigger than the bible young man
you know
you that those kind of things what would
you say to that idea that you don't need
the bible to
to honor god to follow god
um
i would say in a sense you can't deny it
because there's different gods in
existence
so if you really don't need the bible to
honor
god then it's really not the god of the
bible you're trying to honor
you're simply just using the book
to sort of protect a belief which
actually has nothing to do with the god
of the bible
there's really no such thing as
transcend i don't know how how
i don't know how you define the word
tran or what that would mean to
transcend the bible like god is doing a
new thing that was not written
down in the bible those kind of ideas
like the new stuff that we're doing
wasn't written down
um that's
that's that's there's a lot of new stuff
that that can come up but it can come up
from misguidance and misinformation
i feel like the more you study it when
you're open
and you study it with that spirit i feel
like you'll find it or find something
very close in there
that again you didn't even know was in
there
because you you read it with veiled eyes
and so the things that you're trying to
justify if it is truth
the more that you stay in the word in
communion and fellowship with god you'll
find it
like whatever truth that you're trying
to apply if it's
good you'll find it you'll find
something very close to it in there
versus trying to have to say you know
we've graduated it's not in the bible
um we've just applied it to our lives
kind of thing
well you're saying that so long as you
keep with the new practice that you're
you're doing you're going to find some
kind of essence in the new practice that
you know is already in the bible
well you didn't know it was in there you
didn't know what was in it you didn't
know it was in there until you learned
the practice until you
learned whatever it is that you're
trying if it's true if it's good
like god is good right if it's something
good that's beneficial that can help you
then it's probably in there somewhere
whether it's council
whether it's whatever it is there
there's a lot of
those things in there that we can uh we
don't have to again
transcend the bible or uh
apply practices that aren't not just
apply but just
again just say like they just abandon it
all together
you know that it's not you don't need it
i find that pretty dangerous uh
i mean in a sense it is dangerous
because then the guide itself
like to say that the scriptures are
written on our heart
is to say that i am god
and so i really i'm born with
this written on my heart already so i
don't need to learn anymore
all i need to do is perfect what is
already inside of me because
i am god which again it contradicts the
philosophy that is in the bible from
from the book of romans chapter two and
the last five verses where it says
circumcision is that
of the heart in the spirit of the mind
not in the letter
or letter meaning not in the religious
tradition
so to abandon the words that are in the
bible
is to abandon the kind of circumcision
that the god of the bible is actually
asking us to
find so to do to do a practice
without any sort of you know knowledge
of what the religious character of the
god of the bible is
is really to just initiate
a pagan practice from a christian ideal
and so like you will always find
something
similar in that new practice to the
christian ideal because it's coming from
an object within the mind based on that
foundational christian philosophy so no
matter what you do in that new practice
oh wow this is what the bible tried to
teach me
oh wow this is what it is when in
reality it's really just
not it's just
you being dissatisfied with some aspects
of your foundation or religious
philosophy that you're trying to modify
yeah yeah it happens
happens to the best of us you know
that's why i think it's
that's why i think it's key to make sure
that we're daily getting into it because
when that stuff arises in your heart
it the scriptures the word is alive it's
going to check you
and there's a reason why people aren't
getting in it because they're trying to
do things that the bible condemns
or the bible tells you hey stay away
from that don't do it and you're like
nah we're going to do it anyway
and so therefore with that understanding
you're not going to read the scriptures
anymore
because every time you open it it
convicts you
the secrets of your heart that you
nobody knows it but you
you and god knows the things that you're
wrestling with and that you're studying
or
trying to apply or whatever and so but
that's a good healthy process
let it do that like do asap when there's
something in your life that you
you feel convicted of when you open them
scriptures let it fall off of you
because if not you can be stuck
you're not going to be able to move to
the next level that you're trying to
ascend to or transcend to
until you get rid of the sin that so
easily
entangles you and it's the word that
convicts your heart and does it it knows
everything about you so
i go i go on tangents where i get out of
the scriptures and i just i
have i don't read enough for a month or
two months or something i'm too busy
creating too busy writing or whatever
and um yeah i find myself getting in
different then i gotta get back in the
scriptures man
i gotta it's a it is a reminder i mean
the
the whole like it tells you that that
it's gonna remind you
like when you get into the scriptures
you're gonna be reminded you're gonna
you're going to renew your mind through
the reading of the word the washing of
the word as the scripture says and so
that's a beautiful liberating experience
to get
into so i have to make myself read you
know and i want it to be real
not just out of obligation either like
again but
that's okay too like if you're just
reading to study like that's good but
reading to commune yeah like okay
something i need today not what i need
tomorrow again not what i'm gonna need
next week
but what is it today right now that's
gonna that's that is gonna
be my sustenance the word the manna
of life and and if you if you believe it
by faith and you step into it
it's the most magical book on the planet
like it knows you the ins and outs of
everything that you've ever done and
everything that you're gonna do
and where you are today and uh so why
not read it
you know what i'm saying why try to step
outside of it i have to
continually submit myself you know it's
a date again
die daily die to my will and accept his
will daily
because i'll mess it up i mess
everything up i have to make sure that
my my
ego and my life and my thoughts and
everything is crucified
again the symbolism there taking up my
cross that i'm going to die on that
cross daily
that i'm going to be revived and i'm
going to be born again all of these
things daily
uh as we open the scriptures
and you touched on it you said the key
word faith we're told that hebrews
faith is the substance of hope so you
know
in plain sense faith being the substance
faith is the result
of hope in a sense then what is the
result of hope
if faith is the result of hope what is
the result of hope
and the key to that to get because faith
is the end product
like faith is what we get at the end of
hope but in order to have hope you got
to have knowledge
i can't hope on something i have no
knowledge of
everything begins with knowing
everything begins with having knowledge
of what those words mean the context in
the language
so i can have hope just as you say on
that will what is that will
i know what a vehicle right to get from
point a to point b
faith is the vehicle but who's driving
knowledge has to be the one that's
driving well knowledge is the map
you know the road in a sense in a sense
in a sense because you don't know what
could you don't know it's a gps you
don't know where you're going
without studying the map right
you don't know what's possible knowledge
is the map
but at the same time it's also good you
don't even know where what's possible
where you're going or what's beyond it
until you've read it and studied it and
experienced it
and know that it's possible and then
love is what fuels that vehicle
love is what fuels faith love is it does
you need love knowledge and then you
need that faith because i can't have a
good faith if i have no love or
knowledge
like i can have all the faith in the
world but if i don't have
love or knowledge what is my faith what
do i have faith in i know why do i even
have faith in it if i don't have any
knowing of it
if i don't have any love for what i know
like if i need if i don't know what i
love
like what am i having faith in i'm
having faith in a traditional
understanding of something i should
believe in because i know that it's
beneficial for me
i don't even know why it's beneficial
for me and so like that's
like you see you you hit that on point
like
faith knowledge and love like you we
like and this is the continual subject
that i that i harp on in all of my books
and
and everything else is just the fact of
love plus
knowledge gives you a more sure faith to
keep going
there was a uh a scripture i read i
think i read it on the air the other day
but it was uh
second peter that was kind of like
going through some of that stuff um
which i thought was really beautiful oh
excellent the tree the tree of uh
yeah it was almost like it was it was
almost for me it was a it was a
blueprint for
for manifestation honestly it is it is
let's see let me see
the last act being um true charity or
real love or real self-sacrificing love
let me see exactly where it was so a
second peter i want to read this right
quick i know i read it the other day
so 2nd Peter 1
um starting up let's start at verse 5
of 4 whereby are given unto us
exceeding great and precious promises
that by these you may be
partakers of the divine nature having
escaped the corruption that is in the
world through lust
and besides this giving all diligence
add to your faith virtue right so that's
like
they're accompanied it's almost like a a
pyramid
right you need all of these together it
is a concoction
uh diligence add to your faith virtue
and to your virtue knowledge
into your life into your knowledge
temperance
into your temperance patience since
godliness into godliness brotherly
kindness
and to brotherly kindness charity
if these things be in you you shall you
shall abound
and make you that you shall be neither
barren nor unfruitful
the reason you're barren and you can't
move from point a to point b that you
can't produce anything you can't
manifest anything we talk about dreams
and visions
even manifesting peace in your life
there's a reason you can't
it's because you don't have this
concoction here i read that the other
day and it was like boom it was so good
i think it just fits right into what
we're talking about again
it does it does it goes down to
concept language and context when i was
talking about the balance the balance
is from trying to lean on any of those
things by themselves you can't
can't you can't just lean on knowledge
you're going to end in a ditch you know
you can't just lean on love you know
there's movements out there in our world
that are just
singular love they're love driven boom
but you know what they miss a lot of
marks there's no knowledge on it there's
no
knowledge there's no temperance there's
movements out there that are just
faith-based
and they're great at it but by
themselves
it's gonna you're gonna end up in a
ditch but it's when you bring them all
together and
and you're able to you're not going to
be unfruitful you're not going to be
unbearing meaning you can't produce
anything
you're going to better manifest whatever
it is that god has put within your heart
within your life your timeline to to
manifest
trying to do it without those things
you're going in a circle
yeah you're sitting in a car with no gas
in it or you're sitting in a car without
the gps you don't know where you had it
great analogy
you need it and that goes it goes back
to what we were talking
about earlier when we were talking about
the definition of sin and why why is it
a repeating
a repeating circle it's because it's
missing those credentials just like you
said
it's missing the aspect of faith
the aspect of personally understanding
what that faith is to give it a
a defining virtue you define that virtue
you will not have a problem seeking the
understanding that that you're seeking
and then from there the issue the issue
of sin is handled because
sin is has to do more with patience and
temperance
so you really can't handle what is
negative inside of you
because you have first no knowledge and
your knowledge is a virtuous
and your virtuous knowledge isn't
faithful
it's like going backwards
and so like and all of that comes from
is what peter said before he said faith
diligence diligence has to do with
personal mental
examination diligence is study study
self
study words diligence you take that
diligence
and perfect that faith take that
diligence and perfect how virtuous you
think that faith is the nature of it
yeah take that diligence and just build
on all of those and then
just as you said you can't have one
without the other and that's that's the
movement i'm
yeah i'm i'm i'm all in for
here chris garner says can't just have a
wrench
you need a whole toolbox
try to change the tire and just have one
tool or try to
fix something under the hood and just
have a show up with a wrench
like you need all of it and then you
need to and then you need to either
watch the youtube or be trained on even
how to do it to begin with
you just show up with the wrench
something like you can fix the car
you're in trouble you know oh you think
the car will fix itself just put the
wrench on it
put it in the back seat
it's fixed yeah i think that's what my
freaking uh
the guy i've been taking my car to fix
the shop have been doing just
hoping trying to lie to us anyway that's
another story

linwood jackson jr ladies and gentlemen
good stuff man make you think
the word is alive you know the scripture
says that the word is
alive and it's living and it's sharper
than any
two-edged sword able to divide between
soul and spirit
and bone and marrow and the muscles and
tissues and things and it knows you man
knows what you're going through tomorrow
heart surgery having
surgery on your heart with the living
word
um possessing that by faith knowing that
it's living knowing that you have a
relationship with your creator through
his written word there's rules to this
life man
kill a priest my homie says it the best
bible the bible
basic instructions before leaving earth
um tap into it learn it commune with the
father
fellowship with him there's deep
i feel like there's things within the
scriptures that um
that god has hidden from those who are
learned the scripture says that
that there's prophecies that he would
close the book that he would hide the
understanding
of some of these obscure scriptures and
things that we've been reading over for
years
hundreds of years that people still
don't know what they mean
until your heart is broken that you get
into the word
and you allow christ to teach you
to really be illuminated with that light
you have to learn
from christ himself the holy spirit has
to teach you
um he does use men right but is able to
hear his voice
and where he's teaching you where he's
guiding you and where he's leading you
and to be able to hear him
just like balaam was able to hear the
donkey speak
and learn from the donkey and even the
donkey is
speaking as the oracle of god god speaks
through
donkeys like myself and many other
people who you think that
it's usually the ones you think that god
can't use is what he uses
when you have this wall built up and say
god would never speak through
that kind of person or god only speaks
this way
and then you find yourself again that
prideful arrogance pride cometh before a
fall and he said wow
i got to eat my words and it's always
this learning experience so
for those who can't see god in all they
won't be able to see god at all
we've been talking about this for years
that that is a um
um an inner knowing that is a a proverb
that i heard years ago and it just
rings so true to me to be able to see
god's hand in everything
um and uh and a lot of people say well
that's new age you can't see god and
everything god is only in these certain
things and god is only in that
but it's like no god is in all of it
he's in the details
every single part the most beautiful
prayer that you can pray whether you're
praying for someone
or you're just sitting in uh
self-examination for your own life
is just to ask god where are you in this
where are you in my situation where are
you
in this what would you say i know what i
would say
i know what my enemies have said i know
what my parents would say
god but what would you say in this
situation so stepping into prayer
stepping into your own meditation your
own situation what you got going on
about your destiny
about your life about your job but your
relationships god what would you say
i'm telling you it's uh knowing that he
speaks and he's a rewarder
for those of those who diligently seek
him it becomes real
if it ain't if it it's not that real to
you then it's a it is a vain empty
religion
and christianity is one of the most
disgusting
religions in my opinion without anything
without
the spirit the spirit of god there if
you're not being led you're falling into
dead works and you become a pharisee
boom just like that
well-meaning well-to-do doing the right
thing but for the wrong reasons
you'll find yourself being stuck in
religion just uh
echoing these ideas and opinions so
it is about the spirit letting the holy
spirit teach you again
seeing god in everything knowing that
he's there knowing that he's speaking
um we we've been talking about that for
years you know and
um shout out to illuminati congo he's
got a great song that uh
uh if you can't see god and all then
you're gonna fall if you can't see god
at all
um but it's a a truth that echoes
and the christians would laugh at us and
they would say that's new age or you
can't see god and everything god is only
here god is only there
and they tell you where god is not right
and they tell you where he is and where
he isn't
um but then i i'm listening to christian
radio and i hear
toby mack who is a christian minister a
christian artist
he's got songs called he got a song says
that i see you and everything
every little thing i can see you no
matter where i go
i see you there i see you in it you're
there i see
you in everything okay
and it's all about seeing god's hand and
everything it's like listen we've been
talking about this for years but y'all
have called us new agers and
you know missed the mark but when toby
max sings it
oh okay yeah we see him in everything we
see his hand
that's what it is man he's in it all
he's through it all
um hero israel the lord is one
there's one all is god all is god
god is sovereign he's in it all the good
the bad the ugly the light the dark
the evil whatever it is god is in it and
he knows where you are
he knows your name he wants a
relationship with you he's looking to
see
when you're gonna turn to him you've
turned to everything else
when you turn into him you turn to drugs
you turn the alcohol
you turn to all these things when are
you going to turn to him when are you
going to turn to the scriptures
when are you going to turn to this this
inner dialogue and have this
conversation this relationship with the
creator
like setting up things in your life for
you to step into that relationship but
we're too hard-headed that we're just
looking to other things
i was talking uh to a friend of mine and
um
there was there was a time in my life
where um
i was younger in the faith and it was i
don't know if it was more magical or
just
i was still new to it or whatever but um
i couldn't wait to get home whether it
was a
an evening or usually a friday evening
to pray
i remember canceling band practice
on a friday evening i was tired but i
wanted to spend time with with the
creator
i wanted to spend time in prayer and in
worship and i had this
routine that i need to get back to
because it's powerful i do it every now
and then but
it was something that i looked forward
to but on a friday evening i couldn't
wait
like while i'm working i couldn't wait
to get home
to fall on my knees and just lay on the
carpet
and just surrender at the feet of the
lord
just to be in his presence spend time
with him put on some music and just lay
on my face
and an attitude of gratitude just
thankful for
where he's brought me from where he's
bringing me to and just really spend
besides that spending time in his
presence um
and i remember a point in my life where
that's what i look forward to
getting off of work friday evening boom
i just want to just want to sit at his
feet just want to lay
lay in his presence just want to spend
time with them even though we're always
spending time with them it's something
different when you make
time you know you could go to drive to
the grocery store and always be in
communion
you go to the bank and always be a
communion but it's something where you
can
you choose to do something like i'm
choosing to not to block off this
30 minutes i'm choosing to block off
this hour
and so in that time i was choosing to
get home and lay on my face and spend
time with my father
um and because of the cares of the world
a lot of things growing maturing getting
hurt by the church getting hurt by
church folks
religious people people who just don't
understand you
it's a setback but i remember that
expectancy changing
and identified it to not expect not
wanting to get home to fall on my face
to get into the scriptures and be with
the father but one
i couldn't wait to get home to to drink
i knew it was friday i knew friends were
coming over
and we're gonna drink we're gonna have
fun we're gonna kick back we've had a
long week
we're just gonna have a couple beers i
couldn't wait to get home because i knew
people were going to meet me
there and i remember like just getting
in that and that becoming the new normal
like friday evening we're going to have
a couple drinks we're going to have a
couple beers we're going to be silly
versus getting together for prayer and
tapping into his presence
there was a shift there in a lot of
different ways that the focus have
changed and so
um for anybody whose focus has got off
just return to the joy of your salvation
his unfailing love don't don't allow
your memories
of what used to be overshadow
your future of what is possible
there was things you didn't know back
then there was things that you missed
there was
things that you didn't do right you were
unlearned in many and you've learned a
lot
but i could tell you that your future is
going to be greater than your past
that god's wanting to take you deeper
reveal more things to you
and show you a truth that is
all-consuming
it outweighs anything that you've seen
before
it isn't a spirit of expectancy it's all
it is it's in a faith game to know that
he'll meet you there but try to change
that
if you can identify the things in your
life that have taken the place of god
whether it's counsel whether it's music
whether whatever
is a hobby whether it's you know when
when calamity hits when confusion hits
you run to these other things for
comfort
run to him put it at the forefront of
your mind whatever it is
if it's the drinking thing the alcohol
thing is the weed thing some people do
do it with weed you know weeds their
thing they uh
makes everything okay instantly
everything's okay listen when you hit
that bottle everything's okay
but guess what happens when the uh the
the high wears off
you're found wanting gotta do it again
gotta go get some more
and what are the after effects of the of
that stuff too what's that do to your
body and due to your
auric field in your spiritual life
you're found wanting
man i shouldn't have did this i'm not
doing it again until next weekend
until the next day same day many people
so i would say cast your cares again
upon him
bring that to your expectancy maybe
you're there now maybe you've never
seen maybe you've never experienced the
depths of an encounter with the living
god of just laying on your face on the
carpet
literally putting your nose in the
carpet laying on your face you put on
some music
maybe you've never experienced that
maybe you do like to have a couple
drinks maybe you do like to kick back
it's not a bad thing
but it's when it takes the place of that
former glory is what it
of what used to be that's when it
becomes bad i just bid you to try it
maybe you've never done it maybe alcohol
alcohol's not even a thing maybe it's
something else that you look
you look to that's going to bring you
comfort
that's the job of the holy spirit which
is the comforter so i bid you
wherever you are whether it's today when
you get home
uh when when you have a few minutes
before uh bed
whenever it is you can find a few
minutes to get away put that put some
beautiful worship music on anything
about bethel i would suggest
and just lay on your face spend a few
moments in his presence i can tell you
i've had many mystical
out of body experiences psychedelic
experiences i can go
on and on and on but none of them really
compare to
a beautiful experience of laying on my
face and he just shows up in my room
and i'm changed i'm left changed
something happened he showed up my view
my i feel lighter the baggage that i was
carrying it's not there anymore he's
carrying it it's because he said he
would
take my yoke upon you learn from me
for i am gentle and lowly and hard he
said my yoke is easy
my burden is light allow him to carry
your burden the reason his burden is
light is because he's carrying your
burden
you exchange it with him man all of that
exists in the midst of
praying go into prayer knowing that
that's that faith
let god meet you where you are expect
him to show up and i guarantee
that he'll change your life with that
i'm saying peace and shalom love you
