ahead and jump into today's episode my
guest today
is me lagros phillips
my friend welcome to the true secret
podcast i tried my best how did i do
with pronouncing your name you did great
thank you so much and thank you for
inviting me
great to have you and uh great subject
to tackle and i'm sure it's something
that's near and dear to all of our
hearts
even if we don't know it and i want to
explore that a little bit with you today
so
for people who don't know who you are
just kind of give a quick background
overview who you are what you bring to
the table and we'll start there
yeah sure
so um
i bring a slightly different perspective
to this whole
uh conversation on race
i approach it more from the perspective
of healing and transformation as opposed
to you know
who's guilty who's bad who's wrong who's
you know who the good guys and bad guys
are
um
because what i understand from my work
and my research i mean i've been doing
this for 35 years is that
we've all been conditioned
for more than 600 years
we've been conditioned around this topic
that we call race and racism which you
know we all know that race is not real
there are no genetic markers
differentiating one group from another
but racism is very real and racism comes
out of the myth of racist of of race and
so um so what we're dealing with now is
600 years of violence therefore trauma
um
we're also dealing with um
a system that was set up
on a um
you know
pretty much set up on a caste system
and excuse me not
the it was is based on the indian caste
system but it's not like the indian cast
system it's a little bit different uh it
was set up by the spaniards um
in the 1400s
so
you know just having a sense of um of
the history and
what is it that we need to know to heal
and to transform that's really
what my focus in because the truth is
that my
my passion is transformation but my
calling
is the healing of racism
and so i combine those two to create a
tapestry that allows people to
understand themselves better in the
context of race regardless of the color
of their skin
and really look at
you know what needs to change within
each and every one of us so that we
could really transform this as a globe
awesome thank you for sharing um what
you know this this conversation's had a
lot a lot of people
make this their main
message but i think what
changes it up for you at least why i
wanted to talk to you was the fact that
you pro you approach a lot of this from
a
spiritual perspective you are a reiki
master you teach from the course in
miracles and so there's this you know
the spiritual background that you have
as well which i want to kind of touch on
that a little bit too but
you know
where the two realms meet people you
know there's the physical stuff and then
there's the
woo-woo stuff but sometimes the woo-woo
stuff doesn't translate over to the
physical stuff they gotta meet somewhere
in the middle and obviously with this
being your passion healing restoration
transformation all spiritual principles
have now uh
evolved over into your everyday life and
something that you can teach that has
impact and power and um which is why i
wanted to have you on can you talk a
little bit before we get started just
with your background with spirituality
how you got into reiki and the course in
miracles and spiritual experiences i
like to go to the genesis of somebody's
spirituality what was it that got you
into
uh this work and opened up the door to
that realm for you
yeah well that realm has always been
open to me sort of speak because um i
come from a long line of
uh healers and um people who were
spiritually very awake
and so you know but it wasn't my thing
you know that had nothing to do with me
that was my sister my mother but you
know like
it that just wasn't my thing right
but when i was 13 years old um
and the day that dr king died
i locked myself in the bathroom to cry
i was so upset my father and i were home
my mother had gone to the store and
um
and i just excused myself and went in
the bathroom and i couldn't stop crying
i just kept sobbing and i didn't want my
father to know that i was in there
crying because it's sort of like you
know
um
yeah it just you know so
while i was in that bathroom on that day
i heard a voice that said you're to
continue the work i know what that meant
but what i did know was i'm not doing
that there's no way in the world i'm
gonna touch that
and so you know so time went on and
i got married i became a parent went to
college blah blah blah you know the
whole life thing right
and my life it you know i'd done all the
quote unquote right things but my life
just didn't seem to work it just didn't
you know it just didn't seem to gel at
any
point in time it just like
so
i started looking at um
becoming more self-aware
doing a lot of personal
um
awakened work
doing a lot of personal healing work
because i thought there was something
wrong with me you know
so
i i joke that i did enough personal
work
in my life that at some point i became
healthy enough to realize that i needed
healing you know what i mean yeah and uh
and so that became the quest right and
so
um so
i became a reiki master and teacher
um i started
i was teaching learning and teaching the
course in miracles
i started doing work i became a
magnified healing
initiate i also became a korea yoga
initiate i started teaching meditation
you know they say you teach what you
need to learn right
um i had studied to be an opera singer
when i was a child
and i never used my voice um i shut my
voice for for like 26 years because i
was sexually abused by my manager in new
york and so um so i stopped singing
but all of a sudden i started not just
singing but sounding people which i
didn't even know what that meant that
was in the early 90s it's like what is
that and so all of this stuff started
bubbling up in me all of this awareness
and these talents that i didn't know i
had i've always been an artist so i
painted um but i stopped painting for a
long period of time as well like i shut
my art down you know
and so now all of a sudden my art is
bubbling up and um and i'm painting
yamaha which is
um a lot of people don't know that
yamaya was one of the few
uh african goddesses to survive the
middle passage and i'm painting uh you
know this this vision of yamaya with
these dolphins around her she was the
goddess of the sea
and people used to and still to this day
in places like brazil and the caribbean
they do rituals and pray to yamaya for a
good catch or for people to return from
the sea and things like that so now i'm
painting these gemayas and i'm painting
um
you know um i
could kind of see the essence of people
and i start painting that so i'm doing
all of these things right and and i'm
also sounding people and now i'm
learning sound in during my dream time
i'm learning sound um in meditation i
would wake up in the middle of the night
and i wake up from a dream that i was
sitting in a classroom learning
something about sound
and
one day i called this woman
out of the blues i got you know to call
mary and sound her i'm like what
it's like what is that right
so i call this woman who i had just met
so i it's not like i knew anything about
her and i said to her this is going to
sound really strange but
i just got that you need to come to my
house and that i'm to sound you
she goes wow that sounds interesting
what is that i said i have no idea just
come on over so she came and um and i
had her sit down i was like literally
downloading getting the instructions
right
so i had her sit down
straddle the chair so i had access to
her spine and i started singing up and
down her spine and what i found out is
that that that the spine
um functions almost like a piano and you
can tune somebody with your voice
you know just like you would tune a
piano
anyway so i ended up sounding to say all
these these sounds and some of them were
like you know to me scary some of them
were beautiful one of them sounded
angelic so i'm making all these sounds
up and down this woman's spine
and and she she
she uh when we were finished she starts
moving and she's you know just sort of
and i'm thinking she's shaking this
thing off whatever this is right
and um it actually
she said
and then she starts going like this and
she starts moving her left arm
she told me she hadn't been able to move
her shoulder for the past 18 months and
that was the first time she was able to
move her shoulder wow
and and so that began this whole thing
like i started studying and and i would
get information on what books to get and
there were very few books back then that
had anything unsound um so i created my
own course i started teaching
sound therapy to people and how to how
to sound people and then i started using
the scene crystal bowls and started
doing concerts
using the singing crystal bowls
and um
and then one day out of the blues
i had a concert in new hampshire that
evening and i was at a friend's and i
was doing a warm-up
this was in the morning when i first
woke up in the morning and all of a
sudden i started singing in this
language
how's that you know and and then i start
sobbing because you know and then you
know and and eventually i try to
translate i started translating the
language and i just translated a couple
of words and i got to keep the gift pure
to stop that
you know and so so i didn't into this
day
you stopped translating it i stopped
translating yeah because everything
you're saying like i've been doing
lately too
like
and i've been writing down the syllables
and trying to go to google translate and
i'm getting messages from it which is
was interesting it's like filipino
and you know to me it's just utterances
and tongues and real simple stuff
there's some hebrew stuff in there but
the interesting thing
is every time i get a translation it's
always we are for you we are for
humanity we are here to help
light a candle for us to be present like
these are some of the messages that i'm
translating so i got chills when you
said that so it's like wow i
have it nobody i haven't i didn't watch
that in a podcast i never read it in the
book it was like intuitively
let me just try this and now when i find
out a lot of people are
doing that light language and speaking
in tongues you know and singing in
tongues
yes
yeah i was just like you know i had
never heard anyone do that like i i mean
i started crying because i didn't know
what was happening to me i was just like
oh my god oh my god
and so that night uh at the concert i
ended up using the language because it
just sort of pours through you you know
and um and you know i've been using it
ever since and one of my favorite
memories was
um
i i went to do some of this work in
europe and um and i ended up in urbino
in italy um in this beautiful geodesic
dome and in the middle i had my
you know
my massage table which
um i created into this sort of prepared
as a sound bed
and so i'm in the middle of this
geodesic dome singing clients from like
nine in the morning till midnight for
three days like who seemed that long you
know what i mean i mean most songs are
what like three four five minutes right
an opera may be left but you don't sing
the entire time right i'm singing it
never even you know like i just stopped
for meals and then i go back and you
know and sing another person it was just
incredible and what i realized
was how powerful the human voice is like
one of the things that i got to do which
was which was also kind of interesting
was i was invited to the um
the harvard mind body institute
to talk about sound and mostly it was to
talk about
how
doctors say and and healthcare providers
say what they say to their patients
which can cause them to live or die
basically you know and by the word right
they can make him live or die and so so
there's a presentation on that and i was
um and i also um ended up doing some
sound um with the with the medical stuff
that was there
and it was so interesting because one of
the people that i ended up singing up
and down his spine was her benson who is
known as the father of um integrative
medicine
he loved it but here was what he said he
said
what i just experienced in three minutes
it took me six months studying with a
japanese
master
to feel what i just felt you know
because the human voice is so incredibly
powerful and people don't i don't think
we
i don't think we've owned that you know
so some of the other fun thing that i
used to do um you know
fun
honor it was an honor for me right
um at deaconess hospital i volunteered
in in boston this was
1997 98 or something like that i would
say 96 97 actually
and i volunteered in their hospice and i
was seeing to people while they were
dying
it was the most incredible experience it
was just
amazing and i remember walking into a
room once and um
there was this
there was a patient and her sister was
there and as i passed through the door i
heard a voice that said sing this one
they know it and i'm thinking to myself
i don't know
you know like i don't know it but i i
trust my intuition i started singing and
these two sisters start harmonizing and
singing with me
it was the the one
that the patient and her sister
and they were like where did you learn
that song i said i don't know that song
it's my first time singing that song the
mother used to sing that song to them
i just
yeah i i just you know i mean
as much as i love my work with healing
racism like every once in a while i
think oh i should be doing sound therapy
you know first of all it's easier
there you go but also you know
i just i i love it i mean i got to
experience what people call miracles i
had one man who came in with a cane and
walked out and came back to get us came
because he forgot it because he
you know
yeah it's just it's incredible i just
every once in a while i think i should
go back to teaching sound because i love
it well i think that it it helps to
integrate what you're doing
because you're studied because you know
that your words carry weight now that
even in sharing a message you know
you're sharing healing by just opening
your mouth and declaring it declaring
the truth even when it's not popular
even when
um
you're scared even when you don't know
what the outcome is going to be you have
a burden you have a uh
empathy natural empathy for these
subjects and then you know the power of
spoken word i mean once you know it i
think it adds to
your spirituality to your meditation
once you know the potency of it like i
need to choose my words
wisely and so whatever you're declaring
so i do music i do spiritual hip-hop and
i do guided meditations and i use my
voice
and um and it was something that
that uh has helped me and
my words are creating
experiences for people freedom
liberation because i incorporate
spirituality in my music that's why i do
it and it's changing people's lives it's
it's opening them up to like infinite
possibility possibilities and creativity
and then connecting with the angels as
well through the music and art and
and and now we have a huge vocabulary of
words that we can use to get to the same
thing we want to articulate the same
message the spirit my message has never
changed from day one but there's
different ways to articulate it and
change it and it's such
an honor and it's a huge responsibility
and people will say why don't you do
other types of music why don't you just
do regular music i was like no like
i'm gonna be held responsible for like
the stuff that i say so i need to be
careful i need to think before i speak
and i tell you what when it comes to to
being a presenter and a speaker one
person that i really admired with the
way that he shared
was barack obama
because you could you hear him talk and
he would break it up
and he would say this and it would go
there
and there's a pause you can tell he's
thinking
about what he's going to say next versus
some of the other presidents we've had
and have like they just say the first
thing that comes to their mind and
that's not always
a good thing to do so being able to be
responsible with your words like i
really appreciated what you know the way
that barack obama used his gift and i
know he he knew the impact of that as
well
yeah words can change people's lives and
um everything you say will be held
against you
yeah yeah exactly or for you
for you you know i want to say something
um that may seem a little off track but
i just want to say that i love your
flower of life tattoo oh i see that all
over your website so
and you know in my book the the cover of
my book
um
i designed the cover for my book and
there it is
the flower of life love it um what does
that mean to you because it means
different things to different people
yeah so for me it's about uh the
continuation of life
it's life is a continuum
and it just keeps you know
um
because so often we separate things
and we act as if the past doesn't exist
and
when the past doesn't exist there's no
honoring of the ancestors
you know
and when there's no honoring of defense
yeah it's like yeah i mean it just it
just ripples right so for me the flower
of life is a reminder that life is a
continuum
and that nothing is random
yeah for me it's all of that but the
main thing is like we are all one that's
a oneness good because all of those
circles are individual circles but
they're all touching and they're all
connected and as they come together they
formulate that that body of work and
that beautiful symbol so we're all
connected i am another you you are
another me we're in expressions of each
other which are an expression of the all
the creators so
absolutely
yeah
well you know and i know we're here
we're here to talk about business but
you got i know you've got the
credentials and
and even knowing that
again when you know ever the power of
words now we move forward with the way
we use our words now we know your
credentials we know your background
you're not just some random
person here you have credentials you
you've been in this and so for me
i i'm
i enjoyed that part of your story and
also i'm sure my audience as well so now
moving forward as we touch on some of
these other uh touchy subjects that
aren't as popular and don't seem as fun
or woo-woo but there's some weight to
them because you you every move and
every word is a calculated step and you
know what you're doing to bring about
healing to the planet so
yeah and often people will ask me like
people come to my seminars and things
like that they're like oh where did you
train and i'm like life
rained in life uh but but the truth is
that
my spirit
my intuition
led me
through the doors of transformation
first and then to do the race work
where everybody else seems to be just
either doing the work race work and not
the personal transformation or they
think that they can transform the world
but not themselves you know like it's
just all of these different things i was
brought in through the
you've got to do your work around and i
continue it's lifelong learning so it
isn't like oh i got this it's like no
way
no way nowhere near right but i do have
i bring a different consciousness
because i was brought into the work
through
the the power of transformation and um
spirituality and
an awareness that
that i am just
one in in
this infinite continuum right
and that
my work here
is to love people
not to judge them right to be aware of
the behaviors
and to love them
not to judge them right and so that's
where my work comes from and so my work
is a little bit different
and
some people call it soft skills
i call it power skills
yeah
and we got so many similarities and it's
beautiful because i've i've adopted that
as my mantra as well
coming from a background that used to
judge and we're coming up on a break
here in a moment but
i want to ask you about that for you for
me just to give you a little bit of my
background with as far as race is
concerned
um i studied
when i got into spirituality
christianity it evolved a little bit
into a lot of studies and
i ended up
studying under the heap the black hebrew
israelites
um who embraced a lot of the other dark
skin or brown-skinned people people who
were told that they were the scum of the
earth that they're bottom feeders that
they're accidents you know and so they
empowered them so hey you are meant for
something greater you're not those
things that they say you are you're
actually the people of the book that
book is about you and so i've seen how
that
i see what it did for me being native
american and um
and something jumped in my spirit the
first time i heard that that the native
americans were part of the children of
israel the tribe of god when they said
that holy spirit just
it moved something within me and i had
to know more and i began to research you
know my heritage and those things so i
studied under the hebrew israelites for
for many years and but what changed that
for me because we there were there was
you know militant sex and and it became
about race like why we're better than
you so we end up doing the same thing
that the other people are doing kind of
thing
um but what changed that for me was
on a job site
in mississippi i ended up working with
uh as as a electrician helper with a
bunch of people who were card carrying
klansmen from the ku klux klan
and we begin to talk about
the jews and who are the real jews and
there's scriptures in the bible there's
those who say they are the jews but are
not and are deceivers and you know when
you're into that stuff those scriptures
stand out so i begin to sprinkle little
seeds and i found out that those guys on
the job all these white guys were in the
in the kkk
and they studied the scriptures from the
opposite
perspective as the ish the hebrew
israelites
and and they would bring their bibles to
work in every from genesis to revelation
the only thing that they had highlighted
in their bibles was
racism
i've chose chosen you from among the
heathen from the other people and
i i have a lot of things highlighted in
my bible it's about i'm gonna bless you
i love you with an everlasting love
you're gonna succeed
nothing you do
do can separate you from my love like
those are the things that stick out to
me but to look at their bible and the
whole thing is highlighted with
scriptures about racism and stuff so
it's like wow the programming and how we
can read the same text and and get a
different
you know interpretation so that
broke down of like arguing with those
guys and scriptures and we're both every
day at work we wouldn't even work we'd
come to work and debate the bible with
and i'd get them on the phone with my
israelite teachers and they're
going at it and and they have all these
prejudices and preconceived notions but
that's what kind of something broken me
was like you know what it is about
issues of the heart it is about the
scripture goes on to say one who is a
true jew a true child of god is one who
is one inwardly and that that the flesh
your skin profiteth nothing and those
things for me it was a big uh that
debate ended and that pride and
arrogance kind of ended even though it
just slipped in just a little bit
but that's my story with uh you know
bringing that to the table and i do hip
hop i'm a white guy doing hip-hop you
know that kind of stuff so
subjects near and dear to my heart too
so and i know i know i i put put a lot
on you with that i want to get your
response just to that but we got to jump
to a quick break and we're we're going
to dive deep we're going to dive deep
when we get back on the other side of
the break ladies and gentlemen we'll

wow so the throne room meditation man
this was just like a new level for me of
creating encounter uh really the process
behind it is going in for myself having
an encounter with the lord tapping into
the spirit and getting in his presence
and really just petitioning the father's
heart and saying god
what would you say to them if i'm
bringing these people with me here if
they're doing this guided meditation and
we're going through this journey we're
having fun we're seeing things we're
experiencing new feelings and emotions
and sensations
what would you say to him
so it's channeling the father's heart
and relating it back to the people so
man it's just a beautiful encounter and
i remember when i wrote the first one
i was so excited about it and it was
just
god speaking to my heart i was able to
channel the father's heart
and i would read the script to people
because i was just so excited while i
was working on it and every time that i
would just read the script the presence
of god would just invade me and i just
burst into tears and i couldn't even
read it i'm just like let me copy and
paste it and send it to you but every
time i listen to it i'm immediately
translated back into the throne room of
god and uh everything's good there
that's the place where everything is
okay where in the scriptures it says
that we are to hide under the shadow of
the almighty this is the throne room of
god this is the place that we can
encounter for ourselves but this is also
a place in which we dwell so a part of
us is always there and we have access to
that now there's people who have never
encountered this before in their life
and it's a totally new experience for
them and almost every time i get a
testimony back from someone they just
say how god wrecked their lives that
they didn't know what they were getting
into next thing they know they're in the
presence of god
wrapped up in his glory he's
communicating his love to them and it
just totally wrecks their lives so make

right ladies and gentlemen we're we're
back with my guest milagros phillips
um that was a mouthful before the break
uh are you familiar with any of those
sex
and what what would you
answer that i am i've had kkk members
come to my two-day seminar
not because they wanted to come but
because their organizations made them
come because they just you know
did something that was
they shouldn't have been doing like you
know the first black person gets hired
in their office and they put a noose on
their desk and it's their first day and
um you know and then there was yeah i
mean you know and i had one neo-nazi guy
um
had such an incredible transformation
from those two days that a few months
later he he wanted to start teaching
um some of the racism stuff that i teach
yeah because he said he didn't know any
of that history
he had been you know i mean he told
shared a story with me from the time he
was 12 years old he had been trained
um and he was you know he was looking
for family at that point in his life and
as are many of those young men who
who go to those um you know to and who
enter those sex and some of them you
know it's it's the family has been doing
it for eons and they're part of it and
you know it's that kind of thing um
they're still human beings
and um
what i know from my work is that
we never deny people love
they may deny themselves love that's on
them
but it's not my job to do that
um i may not like what they do
but that doesn't change the fact that
they're still human
and so yeah so it's a you know but yeah
so
you know the the
the hebrew israelites and their work
there's
um
so
so there are those who
are here to teach
right and to recall the path of the
ancients for us which is extremely
important
and then there are those who on all
sides
are here about separation
what makes me better than you what makes
me you know like that kind of
what i call kindergarten thing you know
like my toy is better than yours and you
know that
it's you know again it's more of the
same it's it's taking the same
dysfunction and putting it over here and
thinking that it's different but it's
still the same stuff and so that's one
of the things that you discovered it's
like oh wow yeah it's the same you know
we're doing the same thing to each other
and um
and that's part
of the work for me it's it's helping
people to see it right within themselves
and their own behaviors um
and to understand the impact of that on
them as an individual
because with a lot of people if it
doesn't impact them they really don't
care okay
i mean that's just the truth
um
and and
and it's understanding like you know one
of the things that i talk to people at
my seminars we talk a lot about trauma
and what people don't understand about
trauma is that trauma gets passed down
from one generation to another we know
we know now this through epigenetics the
study of um survivors of the holocaust
survivors of
the um the private christian school
system with natives we know like we we
know this like like you know
survivors of war so we've been doing a
lot of that research so we understand
that now
but drama gets passed on from one
generation to another
for many many many generations the thing
that people don't seem to get is that
you cannot traumatize another human
being without you yourself being
compromised
so people think that if they're not on
the receiving end of the trauma
that they're fine
yeah you know if they're the
perpetrators of the trauma they think
they're fine
but they're not yeah they're not you
cannot
violate another human being without you
yourself being compromised but not just
you yourself but your entire lineage is
also compromised so now we have two sets
of people who have been traumatized and
compromised
you know
at the level of passing it on from one
generation to another
and so i think that part of of the issue
with some of these things is that
people they again it's segregation right
they separate themselves
you know they said victims separated
from perpetrator thinking that that that
perpetrator is better than victim when
they don't realize it's the same thing
that you know while one might hurt
physically emotionally and
psychologically the other one hurts
emotionally psychologically spiritually
and at every other level and passes it
on to their lineage
and so their children are now
traumatized and they're born with the
trauma their grandchildren their great
grant their great great great and you
just counted right down the line and so
you know so
a lot of my work is helping people to
get clear what is it we're healing from
what is it that we're really healing
from when it comes to this thing that we
call race and racism
you know
so yeah yeah it's it's passed down i'm
as you're speaking i'm thinking of a
good friend of mine i just got the phone
with him yesterday
he's
i mean he's gone on uh
you know far right
um
and he
he'll say stuff that's racist it's
straight racist but he gives you the
reasons right everybody has their
reasons and um
you know and it's been hard for him even
yesterday he was in tears
speaking about this but he's trying to
figure out what's going on so i'm
thinking of your work and like how do i
share with him it's almost like nothing
i tell him can help something's got to
happen
um
his uncle was was was killed by
a group of young black guys uh but he
was going to buy drugs and he got robbed
so it's like
don't you probably shouldn't have been
there right it could have been anybody
and so that's where he always had this
disdain for the evil
people who aren't like me
that added to it you know my uncle was
killed by these guys and and whatever
and then
two days ago a good friend of ours who
um was a hip-hop artist with me and and
everything and he got shot in the
drive-by
randomly
on the road with his family was in the
car and they
just
shot into his car and and i talked to my
friend who's the other guy who's like
dealing with the racism and he's like
see i told you and it's like more like
fuel for the fire
but but i know that he's also had
conversations with his uncle and with
his dad
who are
perpetuating these ideas so it wasn't
like he just looked at life and put two
and two together and made these this
assessment it's
passed down from generation to
generation of conversation and
and like father-like son kind of thing
and i know the power of generational
curses and i know the power of breaking
them how would an individual like that
who like
we look for excuses why we should be
depressed we look for excuses why we
should do things or or hold our trauma
how do you move forward in that for an
individual like that who has in their
mind all the reasons why they should be
that way
yeah well the the first thing that needs
to happen
when people start to heal if they make a
decision that they want to heal they
want to learn something different is
they people need to become race literate
they need to understand the history and
they need to understand the impact of
that history on people who act out of
violence um which is generational trauma
right
because we know that hurt people hurt
people traumatize people traumatize
others it's as simple as that and so um
you know so having an awareness of that
history and and the impact that that
history has had on everybody like most
people think that racism came from
slavery well no it didn't okay that's
just one of the places where it was
acted out but actually you know you need
to go back further to look at the laws
that were put in place in the 1400s that
still impact us today we're still using
those same laws they're international
laws and you know any place that was
colonized is still to this day under
international law
and so with without an understanding of
the impact of that on human beings
um you know like for instance one of the
things that i that i talk about is if
you really want to understand um
what happened
uh with the middle passage you need to
go back to the 1400s so in the middle of
the 1400s the the prince of portugal
was granted
the right to
go out and and colonize
the entire west coast of africa
now prior to that the the africans and
the europeans had a long-standing
history of trade and diplomacy
but the church decided that um
decided to create this thing called the
doctrine of discovery
and you can look it up on the web it's
all over the web now it never used to be
but it is now
and um
and basically what the doctrine of
discovery did was it gave
um it gave permission
to the
um the prince of portugal first
to go out and vanquish
um basically um you know they called it
terra nola which meant that if there was
anyone occupying the land where they
where they went
they were not considered human
because they weren't catholic it wasn't
christian back then okay
it was specific
because this law came out of the vatican
it's called a
um a papal bull
and so so the papacy who was always at
odds with the monarchy
gave permission to have this done and to
take all the possessions of the people
on those lands and to enslave them for
perpetuity okay
so
now
throughout that time
a lot of european countries were kind of
doing those type of things
but then columbus
who went to italy to the italian crowd
to for to to uh you know have them fund
an expedition and they said no and so
then he went to spain
um and he sailed out
looking for india right and he lands on
kiskeya
kiskeya was the original name of the
island and that island was given that
name by the tainos which were the
natives that lived on that island
and um
he went in to do what the papacy said he
basically that he could do which was to
vanquish burn loot
steal
whatever
um and to turn the people into perpetual
slaves and to take the land and to
colonize it okay i mean this this was
written
into law
by the vatican back then right so now
columbus lands in this place and there's
gold there's silver there's food because
remember the europeans they had nothing
over there okay they were poor it was if
there was no middle class they were
either poor or or enslaved there were a
lot of slaves and the first slaves in
america were white people
and so they were they were slaves they
were indentured which you could buy your
way to out of indentured slavery you
could not buy your way out of regular
slavery because that's perpetual right
so so they were already you know the the
europeans were already doing this to
each other and they were traumatizing
people because you have to remember that
the papacy and the monarchy it was just
a few people compared to the populace
right and they had to control masses of
numbers of people the easiest way to
control people is through violence you
you use violence to destabilize to
control because violence traumatizes
people traumatized people are
destabilized destabilized people are
easy to control
so now you have all these people so so
now you have columbus coming back with
gold silver um food and
and human cargo in the form of tainos
because they're the first to sail and
you know he wanted proof to prove that
he had reached india so he goes back
and remember the the monarchies were all
related
in europe right and so now word spreads
like wildfire that oh there's gold and
then their islands okay and they they
end up colonizing the rest of the world
and and they split it amongst themselves
the english the french the dutch
everybody now is colonizing not just
africa but also central south america
north america and um in all those
islands that were there and they
particularly loved those islands because
those islands had food
now they could feed their people in
europe who a lot of them were
malnutrition and starving right so you
can feed their people so now they didn't
have to enslave their people anymore
they could set their people free and in
fact the first abolitionist laws
in um
in europe were in 1709 that the english
put in the books you don't put
abolitionist laws in your books unless
you're holding slaves okay they were
enslaving all them people over there and
then they took that history out of the
books there's a wonderful little book
called they were white and they were
slaves talking about the slave trade in
america white slave trade in america
prior to them bringing over but you know
they the whole thing was you know white
slaves could run away they could get on
a different ship and change their name
and go back to you know what i mean
black people can do that right so anyway
and they already had they had already
colonized all those people and those
people have been traumatized for over a
hundred years because remember this is
happening in the early 1500s the first
enslaved africans were taken to iskaya
also known as la espanola also known as
the dominican republic in 1509 to work
in the sugarcane plantations and so now
you have over a hundred years before the
the mayflower ever landed in the
continental usa where they're enslaving
people throughout the caribbean okay
and you know and and so we could say
well you know that doctrine of discovery
was the early 1400s but that doctrine of
discovery was responsible for the land
act in the united states over 5 000
cases have been
um had have been um
decided using the doctrine of discovery
the last time that the
supreme court used the doctrine of
discovery to win a case was in 2005 when
justice ginsburg used it to win a case
against the united the the united nation
in new york so we could say that was
back then but it's still now and and the
thing about that is that that also
affects
poor white people
okay
and and and the the the thing about all
of that is that as people became
enslaved they became
um the
the property of the state
so so with your property of the state
regardless of the color of your skin
you actually don't have the right to
make decisions
on your own life you listen i'm having i
got so many questions
on every point that you bring up and i
don't i'm trying to write them down so
we i don't lose them every time you
bring up something that's like oh my god
i want to ask her about this
uh so i had to interject um
the thing about the property very
interesting right
there's a lot of study out there about
something called maritime admiralty law
and about how
everyone
has a worth
on the stock market that every everybody
is worth a certain you know amount of
money and there's terms that are being
used not just for blacks or lower class
people but for all people people yeah
and that this
is a corporation america's as a
corporation is a business and um
and even the way it's legal tender you
know you bind you're signing contracts
with your name there's so much into it
is that do you do you believe that
that's
going on too or or is that conspiracy
talk because they're not saying it makes
me like
yeah it sounds yeah yeah i just i just
stick to the law
yeah
you know what i just don't know
yeah that's international law um in fact
i just did a presentation with a with a
lawyer friend of mine for
um you know one of the government
agencies and we talked about the
doctrine of discovery and i i stick to
things that people can research easily
on the internet and that are law because
once you start venturing into it the
other stuff is sort of is sort of like
um you know
some sometimes is theory that people
come up with but sometimes it's real
right so for me i just stick with
here's what i know this is a law it's
international law it's been around since
the 1400s we're still under it and the
supreme court is still using it to
decide cases
in the united states
canada used it i think it was like 2015
was the last time county australia
african countries um
north central south america asia
um
uh australia new zealand all of
everywhere that was colonized at one
point or another is under
international law call an international
call the doctrine of discovery now
natives in this country have been trying
to get the vatican to rescind the
doctrine of discovery because as long as
it exists it can be used at any time
because we have president right and so a
case can be decided on president
and so
the doctrine of discovery is president
and as long as the doctrine of discovery
exists
okay it can be used to win cases and you
have to remember that the doctrine of
discovery wasn't just about the land the
waterways it was also about the people
it was also about the people and so i
just leave it to people to do their own
research
it gets scary though the more research
we do
doesn't it though yeah no you know but
but
but here's the thing though
if you go to the doctor because you need
healing because something's wrong right
and
and you tell the doctor you know i need
something from my arm it hurts i can't
sleep blah blah right
and
the doctor knows nothing about your
history right and they write you a
prescription
that's good for your arm
but bad for your heart
and you have a family history
of
heart condition
that that particular medication if the
doctor had known would have given you
something different
right
than that because that can harm you
right if you don't know your history if
you don't know your history not only are
you bound to repeat it
but it literally can kill you wow
that's so good
you know
do you think cause all of that happened
it's history you can there's books
there's documents and we're still
practicing all of this stuff today we
don't know it because we don't study you
know but when people do study they see
it shows up everywhere right it's not
that hard it doesn't take a hard long
study it's just something small you
begin to see it everywhere
is
it still
happening
as far as trying to colonize the world
and going into these other
nations afghanistan and trying to bring
democracy and and and
i feel like it's still happening
everything that you said happened it's i
feel like it's still happening under a
different guys or we got to get the
people behind us
and make the people uh want it more than
we want it kind of thing i feel like
it's still happening to other
other countries and and
and people all over the world do you
think that that's still happening i know
it's controversial but well you know
well let me tell you a story so and i
have the story in my book cracking the
healer's code a prescription for healing
racism and finding wholeness
and and it's it's a story that i tell in
my seminars and it's based on um
a theory or or now known as a philosophy
called um axiology and dr edwin nichols
is uh somebody who has worked
extensively with the theory of lexiology
and basically axiology says that people
in the north developed differently from
people in warm climates like people in
the north
had to learn to preserve their food they
had to count measure because they had to
make sure that whatever they grew is
going to last until the next season you
look out into your world and for nine
months out of the year there isn't even
a leaf on the tree and so your
perception of the world is one of
scarcity there's not enough there's just
not enough right and and am i going to
make it till the next season will i can
grow some more food because it's just
not enough right
versus people who lived in warm climates
where there's food 24 7 365. if the
papaya is not growing the mangoes burn
the mango's not growing the avocado
something's always in season so there's
always food around right like you don't
have to go hunting for food there's
always food around right
and so
your perception of the world is very
different you don't preserve food in
fact if you try to preserve food it's
going to go bad versus people in the
north who have to preserve everything
because things have to last them for a
long time right the winner yeah
yes and so so so your perception of the
world is different
and
axial patterns work really well in their
environment but when you move those
actual patterns and you impose them on a
completely different part of the world
it causes problems but here's the thing
so let's say i live in a cold climate
and um and i didn't grow enough grain
for my village
this season right and i know that my
people are gonna die
but i know that
you know
the village
you know down the road
bumper crop i don't know how they did it
but they got a lot of food let me go
talk to them and see if i can bring some
food back from my people i go talk to
them they say no because remember
there's not enough right
so if i share my food with you there's
not gonna be enough for my people to
survive so no you can't have any i go
back i tell my villagers and i go hey
you know uh
they're not gonna share the food with us
if they don't we're gonna die
right
so here's what happens
i tell the people i can go get that food
all right but in order for me to get
that food
i can't go do it by myself
you got to give me your firstborn mail
so i can go over there and get us the
food
right and by the way in order for me to
do this you all got to pay me so when i
come back you got to give me five
percent five percent everybody in the
village has to give me five percent of
their grain so i can survive too right
so i go off i take all the young men
middle of the night i rape i pillage i
burn i do whatever i got to do i grab
the grain i bring it back and anybody
who's left i bring and i enslave them to
make sure that they can grow us and put
because those people know how to do
something we clearly don't know how to
do very well which is how to grow the
food right so now i enslaved those
people getting to grow the food so now
i got three things that i just got
i got an army
i got wealth
right
and i had a formula
and so if ever my village is missing
anything
i know what to do to go get it i get
myself an army i get the people to
support me having an army and i go over
there and i get for them
right but i you know make sure that i
get a nice hoard from myself
right and now the people in order to
survive are giving their power over to
me
you're the almighty powerful one you're
our leader right you're our leader
and so we're gonna let you
go do and so now every time i need
something i just go get it i get myself
i got a formula i know how to do this
now right and so it doesn't matter what
i need it doesn't matter if it's oil it
doesn't matter if it's grain it doesn't
matter it doesn't matter what i need i
know exactly what i need to do to go get
it and guess what those people are
traumatized remember what i said about
traumatized people they're destabilized
destabilized people are easy to control
i will say

where does where does propaganda come in
to a lot of this stuff because again we
we rewrite history we change we
take uh
black gods and goddesses and paint them
white like where does where does
propaganda come to get the people
to change the mind to erase it from
their memory obviously it's inside their
dna it may be embedded deep but as far
as what you're looking around
most people are just going to go hey
jesus is white you know what you mean
the picture showed he was white you know
kind of thing but where does propaganda
come with with all of this stuff in the
history books and rewriting it obviously
history is his story and he who
wins the battle gets to tell their
version of the story
yeah absolutely absolutely and and
here's the thing the the whole
conditioning thing happens very early in
life by the time we know this now from
from what they call the doll tests which
is these oh yeah that was amazing
right yeah and and so by the time
children are three years old they've
already been institutionalized and
and um they become culturally aware of
their side of the dysfunction basically
that's what it is right
and so um
so what happens though is um
is
how how we do that right and it starts
early like i just i was listening to a
podcast yesterday um um and this woman
she's a christian writer and she wrote a
children's book and i'm so sorry i don't
remember i think i want to say her last
name was nelson but she wrote a
children's book
because her daughter
um you know i think they were on their
way to church or something like that and
her little girl asked her mommy why are
boys more important than girls
and she goes why would you say that she
goes because all the bible stories talk
about all the boys but they never say
anything about the girls yeah
right so from very early on we condition
people like i tell people in my seminars
you know you
you're sitting in your mom or your dad's
lap and they're reading new you know
bedtime stories and
uh they're reading you biblical stories
and all the heroes and heroines look
just like you
and then you know you go to kindergarten
and the teacher reads stories and all
the heroes and herons in those books
look just like you
and then you go to school and you study
history the heroes and herons there look
just like you and you turn on the tv and
the world leaders and the teddy that
look just like you right so
nobody has to even say a word yeah not
to mention all the words that we do say
right but but even if no one ever said a
word your child the first thing that
children learn they learn from from
pictures before they learn from words
right and so they're seeing these
pictures of themselves or
of not themselves right
they're missing their picture is missing
from the books right so everybody's
learning
where they belong in the caste system
without anybody ever saying a word so
now i go to college right so so you know
now you go to college and you study
criminology and you decide to become a
cop now all of your life you have
learned certain things about people who
look like you they're the heroes and the
heroes they're the good people if that
if i gave you a doll test you would tell
me who's the good doll who's the bad
doll who's the pretty dog who's the
outlet right like from three years old
you can do this right so now you're an
adult right
you're a cop
chasing somebody up a flight of stairs
and that person turns around they're
reaching for something in their pocket
in your mind
what are they reaching for
probably a weapon because what you
learned is that the good people look
like this and nobody ever had to tell
you because you learned your opposites
in kindergarten right that
whatever doesn't look like you must be
the bad people
right because that's what you're that's
what you're learning right and so now
you have to make what a lot of people
call a split second decision well you
know i always challenge that there is no
such thing as a split second decision
because a split second decision is made
with a lifetime of conditioning and in
that split second you only have one
place to go and that's right here
and if what you learned is that
you know these are the good people and
these are bad people you're gonna shoot
first and ask questions later because
it's your life versus theirs
yeah we've seen tons of those videos of
white people
getting away with wild stuff against the
cops fighting them getting in their cars
driving away
putting them in headlocks when we know
and all you gotta do is read the comment
section and everybody will tell you if
this was a black guy you would have shot
and yeah from somebody who's been in
that culture and i know exactly what
you're talking about i was
from as a child infatuated with black
culture from the movies and the music
and so i would
for fun i like to go walking through the
hood because i seen it on the movies and
that culture and i loved the music and
and my other white friends were scared
i was scared too but it was like hey
let's go walk through the hood they're
like no way no way and
adventures would happen by walking
through the hood it never ended good
usually for us
uh but oh you're on the wrong side of
the track kind of thing you know and it
because it works both ways but the white
kids and with the black kids were both
conditioned and
um you know
that so
it's affected me early on and and being
able to see it and and um
you know responding to it and
but when a lot of people are listening
to this though and they would say like
well this isn't about me because i'm not
racist
yeah i'm not racist and this is what i'm
talking about other people we're talking
about my one friend who as a a racist i
would say he's a racist for sure but it
sticks he sticks out like a sore thumb
and most racists do we're in woke
culture
we're pulling down monuments you know
we're do there's a lot of stuff happen
if you say the wrong word it will be
used against you you know with
concerning racism and things like that
right now so
um but that's always somebody else that
that racism is still not
somebody being prejudiced right because
as long as we're talking about racism
it's like this big hey you're a racist
you don't like black
literally peop your heart's been
conditioned right um that you have a
preconceived notion that
black people are just white people that
all men are pigs like we talk about this
a lot so with that being said in like
walking
through the hood and and being scared
and conditioned
like
i know
that it's scary
i'm conditioned from the movies and from
these kind of things and there's your
propaganda right there
that's what that is
there's your you know and and so if you
you know the whole
the conditioning starts really early
that's why i said by the time people are
three years old they they already know
what side of the caste system they
belong to and whether they have power in
the system when they don't if they give
if they can get away with stuff or they
can't and all those things you learn
those very very early on and then the
rest is easy
yeah the rest is just the continual you
know stuff on television and the this
and the that and and the sad part is
that um you know sometimes black
children begin to believe that yeah
and so people act out of the dysfunction
without being aware of it the other
thing is that
we also act out of trauma
that that we have no context for we call
it the contextualized trauma
which is trauma that your your lineage
went through but you have no awareness
of what that trauma was or what it was
like for them because people didn't talk
about it and those guys but you're still
acting out of the trauma and we know
that um you know through again studying
epigenetics that people will act out of
the trauma even when they don't know
what the trauma is and so um
you know to understanding that you
you'll find that
with a lot of people who first of all
there is no way that a person can grow
up in a racialized system without being
affected by it
so it's like everybody you know
yeah it's like you can say you're not a
racist
but that doesn't it
it just depends on how awake you are and
how aware you are where because the more
awake you are the more you can make
choices that are grounded in truth
right
and and so
if you're
unconscious or you're just going by what
your parents said your parents or your
grandparents or your you know your your
little circle of friends who probably
have never ever really had a real
relationship with a person who's
different from themselves then they're
living on illusion not on reality right
and so so there's so there's that and
then there you know so so there are
different levels of the stuff and um you
know but ultimately we have all been
conditioned
and um and we're clear about that from
the time you know we're two three four
years old and and then we just grow into
that and then so now
we've absorbed the dysfunction but the
disc function has become normalized in
the system
so now the dysfunction is normal and
we're all acting out of it
and and so as a result we speak
different languages
um
we even when we all speak english but we
speak different languages right we speak
the language of the conditioning
which causes a condition and the thing
about about racism is that when people
are openly racist at least you know what
you're dealing with
when people are
um are quietly racist they'll do things
like make sure that you don't get the
job yeah that's good they'll make you
know like those are the kinds and then
the there's the the microaggressions
like they'll say things like wow you
speak really well for a black person
and they think they're complimenting no
i don't i get that in my comment section
and it it hindered me a good bit that's
uh
why does this guy think he's black
this guy with dreadlocks and
talking why is he talking black this is
strange it's like
what does it mean to talk black right
that's your that's everybody's response
what does it mean to
and obviously they mean uneducated they
uh mean with with slang and
it's helped me out in my music career
you know in in that i'm a great rapper
and i have dialect and people would say
you sound black on record i have a bunch
of white rapper friends and you can tell
they're white guys but when you hear me
you like people will say man you sound
convincing on this
album so it's kind of been a strength it
really hindered me when i wanted to
start podcasting it hindered me when i
wanted to start doing
guided meditations
because how what are you going to do
ebonics guided meditation ghetto
guided meditations and so for me to say
yes and step out in that as a white guy
that was that was hard for me so
obviously it's got to be hard
for
you know i'm saying the young black man
who wants to try it and step out or you
know is in different realms interesting
thing you're talking about the different
languages
um
i feel like i have all of it in me you
know there's culture it's there um when
i hang around my my black friends my
wife says i talk differently other
people notice it on the podcast and say
no that's just you you are ghetto truth
ego we love that about you kind of thing
and like but it's like okay i need to
speak proper right there's a way that
i'm gonna do a guided meditation and
there's a way that i'm gonna i'm gonna
do a rap song or talk to my friends
while we're playing video games or if
i'm teaching a class
right
different nuances is that is that okay
or is that like it's code switching
right it's code switching you know and
see here's the thing that people don't
understand about code code switching is
about survival
whatever that means to you yeah right
like for some people it's about being
able to keep the job the corporate job
for some for for you is about you know
being a rapper and and doing your thing
right and so
so there are different levels and
different forms of code switching
and um and then there is the
misappropriation which you know which a
lot of people talk about it's it's it's
appropriating someone else's culture and
those kinds of things but here's the
problem with all of that is
we wouldn't have a problem if people
realize that we're one human family
period the end we're one we're all
related you know
a lot of us are 35th cousins most of us
are 35th cousins a lot of us are 50 of
cousins but we're all related
and um and what has caused the problem
is the segregation because the reality
is human beings are here to have a
sacred relationship with one another to
learn from one another no human being is
was born to be an island unto themselves
because
um you know
we're wired for connection we're wired
uh the the worst thing that could have
been done to human beings is to
segregate them
and to divide them up as if they were
you know one an apple and one in orange
i mean you know like that doesn't exist
in in in the human um in the human body
like human beings are what
we're one one family and so
you know
so
while we are
grappling
with the segregation and the various
forms that it takes
you know there's like i wanted to be an
opera singer back then it was like there
were very few black opera singers you
know um and and so it's like well that's
white music right and it's like for me
it was just music and i loved it and you
know it was different and you know like
so you can't even do that
what that tells you is that you're not
free
and this is the piece that people just
aren't getting
like if
if you can't just be human
and love what you love and love who you
love
you're
not
free
and until we get that peace we're not
going to start to truly work for freedom
because we just think oh those people
over there aren't free but i'm all right
you know and it's like doesn't quite
work like that as dr king said injustice
anywhere is a threat to justice
everywhere
and so
you know
we're gonna we're just gonna need to not
only wake up
get sober and stay sober stay like
staying racially sober yeah you know
it's about you said being conscious
being woke being awakened to know that
yeah there's some things in me and to be
able to be able to identify it like
there may even be things that you don't
overcome like it's always there but you
identify it so you can make the opposite
choice
like there could be things i don't i
hate would say this some things could
follow you to the grave but as long as
you identify and say yeah there is
i'm not just good there's there's
polarities within me to do
good and bad and i'm going to choose
even though
you may want to do bad you may want to
respond a certain type of way so
being awake in a conscience of yourself
and why you do what you do
it is a beautiful
unfoldment and a gen a lifelong journey
to be able to
uh look at people equally and listen
this is what this podcast champions you
know whether it's race or
ethnicity um religion we deal with a lot
of that how can you talk to those people
you're a christian you're this you're
that and you know these labels and boxes
that really don't exist
and i i can show you better than i can
tell you what does it what does the
flower of life mean let me show you
and that's what you're doing what is
your spirituality how are you trying to
heal the planet let me show you this is
something that stands out and i'm gonna
i'm gonna heal it because it's it's
important to you
um
the church
one of the churches that i used to go to
years ago
we didn't know this but uh a new pastor
came in
and um he noticed that there wasn't
any black people in the church and it
was a fairly large church and he started
going through records and church history
and just doing the research looking
through all the all the stuff he found
that there was a deed on the land
that the church was gifted the land
will give you the land for free you can
build the church
and this is what it said the only
stipulation
is that you cannot let
any black people on the premises now
this is years ago but to this day the
the new pastor comes in and says hey why
can't we
what's going on and he doesn't dig and
finds that and then as an as an act of
faith addresses it in front of the
people
and he burns the deed uh in front of the
congregation but that's very interesting
little stuff like that and it makes you
think
like how many deacons how many pastors
like
that were a part of that church knew it
so
i'm not going to invite black people to
the church uh if they do come we're
gonna treat them badly we're not gonna
shake their hand like there's little
nuances that are just even in that
deed because they knew about it but
maybe even that they didn't know and it
was just how this church operates
because we never minister in the ghettos
we never minister that's usually the
first place that people go and i have
problem with that too because i used to
do it we want to go to the
why don't you go to the trailer parks
i used to be a gospel rapper and that's
the first place we went and we'd have a
huge crowd it's it's awesome but it's
like it works both ways why don't you
ever go to the rich white people
neighborhoods and set up an outreach
like i would always hit them with that
they would never do it it's always the
poverty stricken places and
you know
um but yeah that was a mouthful what
what's coming to you yeah no i and and i
love that and it's so true because you
um you end up um
you don't minister to people who often
need to be ministered to
simply because either they have money or
you're afraid they're going to call the
police on you and you're going to be
arrested because that's their
neighborhood that you're infiltrating
and who are you to come into my
neighborhood and tell me what you had to
live and blah blah blah you know like it
just um you know i mean it just it it
works
all kinds of ways and the thing to
remember is
we're missing it
we're so mired in this dysfunction that
we're missing it we are here to love
each other
to respect each other to learn from one
another to enjoy each other's company
because
being in the flesh is a blessing and
it's a miracle and it's the place where
we can touch and feel and smell and and
and see
and you know like
this is
an incredible experience that we have
to be human for
you know 100 120 150 years if we're
lucky to live that long because the body
can last that long if you care for it
but but
we are literally dying
from not touching one another not
holding one another
not not caring for one another not
loving one another we're dying from that
and at some point we need to stop
we need to just stop
that's so good
you're speaking my language um
now you talk about healing in stages
right we i feel like we've addressed a
lot of the problem but a lot of people
are doing that but they don't really
have the solutions and the answers and
so
your work is dedicated to that your
books your writings your courses
everything that you bring to the table
can you just kind of go through
you know some of the process that you
think an individual needs to go through
to heal and who is it for because again
okay i'm not racist this isn't for me
she's only speaking to racist people you
know and it's all it's always somebody
else it's not me but to make it personal
how we all need to get better and
there's something that we all can do to
make it better
yeah so the truth is we've all been
conditioned
racism is a condition brought about by
hundreds of years of conditioning
and how you begin to heal it is you
become race literate that means that you
uh gain a knowledge and an awareness of
the history of race
that you know you don't you stop
separating history like oh that's black
history that's human history hello it's
all human history you know and so it
belongs to all of us there is no black
history without white history and and
those histories are inextricably linked
to one another and so you know so so the
first thing we need to do is to stop
segregating the history there's human
history
in that human history a lot of people
have been or
for the most part like the entire human
race has been dramatized in one form or
another if it wasn't war it was natural
disasters and you know that it was
migration because of war or natural
disaster or food instability or all
those kinds of things right and so
understanding that we're we're dealing
with a traumatized population and i
don't care how rich or how poor you are
everybody's been traumatized okay in one
form or another or they've had lineage
that has been traumatized you know um
you have people that came here because
um you know the irish a lot of them came
here during the potato famine you know
like those
famine is traumatic for people right um
being aware that
traumatized people traumatize others so
being having a consciousness that asks
questions like why do i believe that why
am i saying that what am i why am i
thinking that about those people why
does that scare me so much why you know
like really living in the why right um
the other thing that that people who
want to heal need to do aside from from
knowing their history and being trauma
informed
is having uh compassion for self and
others and and realizing that
as we look to heal and transform we're
all gonna mess it up at one point or
another right but but that doesn't mean
we stop it just means we keep going
and really respecting each other's
awareness each other's history
and having an open heart and an open
mind
because you can study as much as you
want and you can learn as much as you
want and you can go to school for a
thousand years but if that information
stays up here it's not going to make the
transformation you need to allow it to
make that 12 inch drop and go into your
heart and eventually go into your gut
you know that gut knowing you know
that's where the transformation takes
place
wow
there's
um knowledge gained through experience
you know and a lot of these
truths we feel like they're truths
you know these stereotypes and
preconceived notions and prejudices
and we feel like it's just the way
things are and the way things were
created and and yes they their
stereotypes
obviously they exist for a reason but it
doesn't mean that they're true
and um and whether that's breaking
through
racism as we're talking about or
classism listen i talk
two big ones
that i've dealt with
it wasn't really the racism thing but
i'm sure there's there's still stuff
there for sure but
rich people
coming from the trailer park coming from
the ghettos and the have-nots and
you know not having up you know uh money
and having to go to wear the same
clothes to school and
wearing holes in your shoes and make
people making fun of you at school you
know all of that that's what i come from
so
there was a disconnect with with
rich families and rich people and uh
even when i would go spend the night
with with friends when i was a kid and
they had
a family and they had a dad in their
home like there was different things
that there were different people there
different type and so
but as i got older i kind of felt like
it was a i had a prejudice not that like
i wanted to be but they were
stuck up people they didn't care about
poor people
i don't know these these preconceived
notions
that that weren't true and you could
have told me as much as you want i could
have read all kind of books or whatever
could have watched so many movies
but it wasn't until i met
people who i would say is all rich or
wealthy or well off until they notice
they're regular people
these are regular people
they had like the same things we like
they like the same music they they to
have a beer with them or to have like a
rich family like
take care of you or like uh
i don't know it was a i had to meet them
and become friends with them and then i
had that spectrum because there is a
contrast and everything is kind of i i
know homeless friends that i have a beer
with and they
don't have a home or they live in a
broken down
trailer that was abandoned and they just
lived there with no job no money no no
running water no nothing and that's
essentially what you would call poor
but on the other hand have the
millionaire
who i can have a beer with and be
friends with and there's no distinction
and for me
the classism there that was a huge
hurdle but it was through like
encountering and conversations and
seeing that there's no no difference we
they're a different caliber they're a
different type of person and
um
that was huge
the rich thing and another thing which a
lot of us still have
disabilities
people who have handicaps or people who
can't communicate
verbally or something like that and so
from an early age as a kid i looked at
them as second-class citizens
i'm not i didn't try to pursue a
friendship i didn't try to listen to
until
i had a hey can we bring him with us uh
sure you know and he's in the car and
he's talking
and
once you listen you begin to learn their
dialect
ebonics you learn ebonics like you learn
the dialect of the people and i begin to
say if i listen closely i can actually
understand what he's saying and he's
smart
he's caring he's considerate
and he knows a lot of
philosophy and and we just write them
off as
it takes them a lot longer to get those
words out and i was
i had to meet a couple of them and be
friends with them and and that's what
broke that barrier
and it's the same way when somebody
meets uh
meets a different somebody from another
uh uh
you know um background or
your best friend there's a white guy or
whatever and it just tears on everything
that your parents
taught you
is the experience
yeah that's why segregation works
because in segregation you don't get to
know people
and if you don't have personal
individual experiences with people it's
hard to break those barriers if your
mind is all set and closed right and and
you can't you can't move forward because
you're
you know you don't have that personal
experience nor are you going to try to
reach to have that personal experience
or take that risk or take a chance to
have that personal experience because
you've already decided who those people
are without ever having met them and
also judging people as a group right
because people are individuals you have
good bad you know and and everything in
between in every group that there is
because everybody's here to have a
different experience of life right and
so
um you know so if we're ever going to
make that transformation
we actually have to stop
we have to learn about people we have to
understand who they are
learn something about their background
as well not just who they are today but
they are today because of what happened
yesterday okay or what could have
happened to their ancestors and and
things like that so just you know i
think all of it is about
how much of an open mind are you willing
to have
and how much are you willing to open
your heart
so that you can really get to know
another human being
regardless of what they look like
and so i think you know we have a lot of
work to do the good news is human beings
are extraordinary we are
amazing we can create whatever we want
to create and um you know but we need to
understand that we're not really free so
that we can actually work for freedom
right because if we don't know then we
just think oh yeah everything's fine
it's like no it isn't hello wake up you
know um
and
and really understand that um
that we're worth it
we are worthy of having good healthy
lives and lifestyles with one another
and having you know um
healthy actions reactions and
interactions in our lives but we need to
know what that even looks like
you know
um but but learning from other people is
part of why we're here and maybe that's
where we're all so different right
so that we have something to learn and
and something to look forward to
i think that's exactly why we are but
it's the diversity and seeing god seeing
the divine in everything especially
that thing in which you hate that thing
that is is not like you that's where the
the pearl of great price is hidden was
is in the thing that you've been
conditioned to stay away from it's in
that land that we dare not travel but
that's where you know the beauty is um i
just watched the cult classic for the
first time i don't know if you've seen
it american history x
never seen that movie
so it is exact you should totally watch
it it's totally about um everything
we're saying and then the you know
indoctrination and then the person
healing themselves from
that racism and stuff so i just watched
it i know it was a a a 90s classic
about racism and i had just watched it
so that was very interesting
emotional as well
another thing i want to ask you have
just with this whole part of the
conversation have you um seen any of the
interviews with um
lil wayne the hip-hop artist about
racism and his response and things like
that no i've heard a little bit about it
but i haven't seen any of it totally
worth watching because when blm happened
and you know there's a lot of there's
even more division but they're conscious
there's a problem they're responding to
it not saying that you know there's
growing pains in every movement and
everything that happens for sure
so they wanted to get little wayne's
response to speak to police brutality
and
racist white cops
little wayne told his story
that when he was a little kid he was a
baby essentially like i don't seven
eight years old he
gets a hold of his mom's gun
and he's at home by himself and he's
playing with it and he shoots himself
and so
somebody hears the gunshot go off and
they call the cops well this is in the
ghetto of new orleans and all of the
cops come on the precinct they show up
to his house which is a known drug spot
where they were running drugs in and out
of but now we have an excuse to go in
all of the cops run in through the front
door and they jump over the kid who's on
the on the ground bleeding i guess they
they thought he was dead or whatever but
they jump past them and they start
tearing the house up looking for drugs
we finally got a reason to go in and
they start going under the bed in the
closet and all of these cops are in
there the police and the police chief
comes in
and he's an older white man
mind you all of the guys who jumped over
lil wayne were black officers
it was a mix a mixed number but there
were black officers there too
and the chief comes in and sees wayne
and he yells at all of the officers what
the hell are y'all doing we're looking
for the drug sarge
you need to come take care of this baby
and they the uh the police chief picks
up little wayne bleeding
and gets him medical help
goes to the hospital with him
helps pay for his bills and make sure
he's taken care of and all of those
things and
when blm wanted little wayne to respond
to police brutality he told that story
he's like i don't know nothing about
this situation you guys are talking
about here's my story he's like i don't
know any racist cops oh you know but i
do know
excuse my language a good ass white cop
by the name of uncle bob who
did this for me and to hear him share
that with
conviction and as truth
they tried to attack him because it
didn't bleed into the narrative oh let's
cancel him he's he he doesn't see what's
going on because he's privileged because
he was rich you know he doesn't see what
we see and so listen that's his story
he lived to tell his story and his
experience and we got to honor that and
bring all of them to the table right
yeah oh everyone's story counts
everyone's history
um because it's our collective history
that makes up this world
and it's our collective stories our
human stories and they're all different
and they're all valuable
so yeah yeah powerful
uh i've enjoyed this talk i know you got
to go in here yes i enjoyed it so much
um
one last question uh have you read the
book uh the two babylons
i have not alexander his stop because i
know you mentioned timbuktu and and
things like that and even the the papacy
and things that came down but uh it's by
a writer by the name of alexander hyssop
from the 1800s and uh i believe it's
1800s but really good just about the
papacy and and babylonian traditions
through christianity and whitewashing
and a lot of that kind of stuff which is
really interesting
um we do have a request and you're free
to to say yes or no but there is

and she

to do one-on-one sessions and
what she can bring to the table
she was also a singer

session together

identified the fact that hey listen you
need to connect the two
you need to connect the two
and so
in our
session i ministered to her i trained
her released some things we did a
healing session removing any blockages
and those kind of things
but then i was like hey if you're
comfortable
i want you to step out and i want you to
sing over me
sing over me prophetically
and that's so you're picking up things
in the spirit just like malagra was
doing
you you sing the bible says sing a new
song that's exactly what that means
you're singing a new song
a song that no one's ever heard before
or maybe it's new to you
it says sing spiritual songs
to build yourself up and to release it
into the atmosphere
so in that session with sana
i asked her to do to do it and i just
received and she just began to sing this
like beautiful angelic voice very
similar to what milagros just just did
and she would sing
and she would sing in english
and
it was just prophetic and release
release release to sing over
somebody
and i just began to cry i just began to
weep she was singing this beautif this
beauty and it was like god it was like
the universe and the angels and the
ancestors listen all of creation
was singing over me through this woman
who's on the other side of the world
i believe she was in sweden
but she was saying it was so beautiful i
was like listen
i blessed her i said you got to take
this with you
and it's in the session was like going
to be over
you know and and uh
thank you so much for the session and
believing in
in this and i imparted that to her
and you should start doing this you
should start
you know going live you should start
doing singing sessions for people she
said okay i will i will
and it's like hold on
there's something that i can do here
like
instead of
telling you i can show you better than i
can tell you right like we say
and so i said you know what let's book a
session
where me and you go live
and we'll do a live healing session
we'll let people join
they'll let us know what they got going
on i'll do my thing
you do yours and practice singing over
them practice the prophetic is what we
call it
you have to prac you get in the flow
it's kind of nervous it's scary at first
but once you get into it then it begins
to flow
it's almost like channeling but you're
channeling the heart of god you're
channeling healing for that individual
you're getting specific they're letting
you know what they're dealing with and
then you're kind of getting a
prescription on what to say what to say
what to speak over them
so we did it we went live
and um it was in a time where youtube
favored anything i did early on with a
beautiful thumbnail and seo and sharing
it out and facebook had no limitations
they let more than seven people see my
post and so we had a huge we had a lot
of people watching live i'll say that
and so people would would join
the zoom
i think it was google hangouts at the
time but they would join
and let us know what they got going on
and and i do my thing and
sonic do you have anything
and she said yes yes she had this
beautiful um
dialect and
and she just began singing over them and
just the same experience that i had
she would begin weeping
and or the people would would weep and
they would find healing and their bodies
would start vibrating she was singing to
their bodies she was singing to
uh
vibration you know what what happens on
a spiritual or molecular level with
tones and vibrations
the possibilities are endless but it
felt like
whatever the heaviness whatever the
chords of attachment that weren't
serving you as she was saying and as we
would pray and as we would release
they would release
whatever heaviness would be gone it
would be lifted should feel lighter and
refreshed and so we did i mean i think
seven or eight people
joined there's a if you dig you can
still find that session on youtube
but it was early on of even me stepping
out to do that in front of people and uh
was was really
really fun but it was beautiful to be
able to bless her and impart that to her
that she began to do sessions and she
began to take that with her in her
journey
but singing over people is amazing
i got another testimony and i want you
guys to watch the video i'm going to
describe it
but
two nights ago
some of you have already seen the video
for those of you who haven't make sure
you watch it it's on my youtube it's on
my tick tock it's on my face it's
everywhere but we went to the pod
concert uh
i'm a huge fan of of pod
and um as far as
his spiritual sonny the lead singer
spirituality stylistically their music
revolut spiritual revolutionary
and um he's a big influence on my life
on my music on my art i've got tattoos
from their album cover testify within my
arm the trinity knots that i have here
the trifecta was actually um something
that was on their album brown it was
it's almost like a a banner like a uh
um going across the album so i got that
you know detailed from
that album i got that tattooed on me
even the the the middle middle portion
on my arm is the the hand with the hole
in it which represents
christ dying on the cross for the
forgiveness of sins
but sonny from pod wore that t-shirt for
the first time it was a clothing company
called one truce clothing and so the
first time we seen that is in the pod a
live video sonny's wearing the shirt
that says love and it's got this symbol
on it and so i love that i had to do my
research and on pod's website
there was a fact
frequently frequently asked questions
and
what shirt is sonny wearing in the video
and it was that company and so i started
buying their merch i started wearing it
and i wrote that company and said hey
i'm a christian rapper i love what you
guys do i buy your your brands and i
would love to
to be uh you know if you guys could
sponsor me i'd wear your clothing and
video shoots and all that and then they
ended up sending me merch and ended up
sponsoring me sending me packages of all
their t-shirts and
and and cards and stickers and all that
cool stuff so i began to incorporate
that symbol and use it but it comes from
pod
um
i got the jesus with dreads that was one
of their early
art pieces that's on their t-shirt uh i
got that tattooed on me and it's pod
iconography
they mean a lot to me
so we go to the concert two two nights
ago
and um my daughter
one of her friends my wife and another
one of our friends stephen who's uh he's
in a wheelchair and he's he's disabled
and so
he comes
and there's a side there's a part on the
side of the stage for the people in the
wheelchair so they can kind of get a
better view it's
it's just on the side away it's kind of
roped off it's their own special little
part you know and so we're watching the
concert there
and
a mosh pit starts up
and i was like you know what i'm gonna
take steven in his wheelchair and i'm
gonna we're gonna go through the mosh
pit i was nervous i was like i don't
want to go like it may be awkward like i
may bump into people it may jam the mosh
pit if that's a thing like the people
are moshing is that a rock
concert so we go through and i'm having
like excuse me excuse me to get there
and we we get to the mosh pit and uh
i'm nervous i'm nervous i'm nervous it
was like listen do it go in there
so i we go into the mosh pit and i push
steven in and we're going through and
i'm weaving him through in his
wheelchair and we can start spinning i'm
spinning him around in circles and he's
screaming he's just ah
he's just having so much fun
and in that moment
like being an empath
it wasn't me pushing him
it was like i was him
like i was getting to feel and sense
what he was feeling
and he wasn't disabled and he wasn't
over on the side watching the concert he
was one of the guys
he was one of us
and uh and the mosh pit embraced him
and people are moshing with them they're
pushing them they're hitting him on the
chest and he's going through he's one of
the guys there's no there's no
difference
it's equality
you know
and um they begin to make a big circle
around him in which i'm just spinning
him in a circle and he's just oh my god
and i can i'm holding back tears the
whole time
like i just want to start weeping like a
baby because i i know how excited and
how beautiful
that moment was
for him
for me
um
so i'm just trying to hold my composure
people around me are crying they're
watching crying
oh my god this
weeping is so powerful it's the power of
music especially the power of that band
and what they bring to the table
um
but it didn't stop there
didn't stop there you guys gotta see the
video i'm trying to give you the best
trying to describe it but i want to let
you know what i went through too it's
very emotional
so sunny from the band pod
he comes and he's and uh there's a lyric
in the it's actually a lyric in the song
so it's kind of synced perfectly on time
but uh the song is without ja nothing
without ja nothing nothing is impossible
we can do nothing without
seeing the father doing it first right
so there's this this beautiful song that
they're saying and at the end of the
song at that part
he says
come now
and he just screams it out and then he
points at
my buddy in the wheelchair
and
the mosh pit escorted us to the front
and just like moses whenever he's
leaving um egypt
in the sea parts like people stepped to
the side and i was able to push him all
the way to the front
in the wheelchair
so now he's not on the side watching it
now he's not even just in the in the
mosh pit but he's front center and
sonny's right in front of him
and he's pointing at him he says give it
up for my man
and everybody's cheat whole crowds
cheering
and uh
and then um
this is what it's about like all this
stuff y'all just everything all my music
podcasting
spirituality it's about this is what
it's about
push them to the front
and uh
sunny sunny sees them or whatever and he
comes down
you got to watch the video
and uh
he straddles the fence like there's a
barrier in between but he comes down and
he gets up on it and he reaches over
with the microphone and he hugs my
friend steven he embraces the man
and
he's just hugging him
and he kisses his hand
sorry for the pauses i know it makes for
bad audio but
um
he kisses his hand and he embraces him
with this huge hug
and um then he starts like praying for
him he's like got his hands he's like
he's just got his hand on him and he's
touching him and i just knew that he was
speaking life and blessing him and
praying over him and it was just just a
beautiful moment to be a part of and
somebody that i i really look up to
you know i got to experience that moment
with my friend
and see him pray for him and to bless
him with the music playing but then why
why do i share this now again this was
two days ago we did the video
um
but it's tied into the singing
he prays for him he's just you can't
hear it in the microphone he's just
having a moment with him and then he
begins to sing over him
he starts singing the lyrics that
without ja
nothing and the
how how beautiful
god is and how beautiful we are and the
god in you
and there's no differences like those
were the lyrics and he was singing it
over him he had his hand on him and he
was just singing it
over my friend and we're talking about
singing over people
and the power that it has and the power
of the spoken word
guys it was a magical moment that um i'm
glad i got to be a part of and
and there wasn't a a
a dry eye in the in the place you know
people were messaging me after hey was
that you with the guy
in the wheelchair yeah that was me i was
like i was just trying not to cry man it
was beautiful he was like hey don't
worry we cried for you like everyone was
crying around people who were other
people were filming it and so just a
beautiful experience
and uh and to see him singing over him
the power of spoken words and the power
of declaration of singing of honoring
and there was an impartation in that
guys just like when milagro sang over us
there's an ar there's a partation
impartation like
i don't know where you guys felt i
definitely felt a motherly vibe i felt
um healing i felt the impartation of
everything that we spoke about even like
a like an earth energy if you will like
mother wants to heal us and i'm telling
i'm singing the song of the mother
uh sunny after that was singing the song
of the father he's connected to the
father god aspect and and jesus and so
you i felt that as he was singing
in his lyrics just by listening to him i
feel it anyway but as he was singing
over my friend it was just so beautiful
so
then we got to go up on stage so they
escorted us around we went up on side
stage and got to watch the rest of the
show from the side stage so you know
thank you to uh to sunny sandoval from
pod and marcos and
and trey and everybody in the band
for creating that beautiful experience
in a beautiful encounter
um
i'll remember it forever
but i bet you
more than anything stephen's going to
remember it forever
there's a beautiful moment caught on
camera
and i'm thankful thankful for my
daughter for following me into the mosh
pit and filming it you know like i
didn't know she was there
we're in the moment you know and i tell
you what was passing through my head
like
yeah there wasn't a lot of nobody was
wearing masks i think my wife was the
only one wearing a mask and
um we go there and i'm thinking of covet
like there's all these people and
most people have had their shots and
stuff like that but i'm thinking it just
crossed my head like what if you get
covered and die you know what i'm saying
like hey nobody has mask on all these
people around you it's like listen it's
worth it
it's worth it like this is worth it
it's worth it because of that experience
and you know what i'm saying count the
costs man
you just these thoughts cause that would
have held me back now we can't go in
that mosh pit nobody's wearing a mask
you know and i'm just so um
i'm so honored and thankful that i got
to be a part of that
but
whatever job that i did of just giving
you my insight and what it meant to me
go watch it
there was no difference
we talk about the blacks and the whites
and the haves and the have-nots i
mentioned disabled people and rich
people listen we're one man
we're one
everybody there's nothing that separates
us
and that's why i wear esoteric symbolism
of the flower of life it reminds me
listen we're all part of the same body
that is that brother is me
i am him what would i want in this
situation
if i was in a wheelchair sit inside
stage
it'd be awesome to be in there i wish i
could be in there
can't
and now you can facilitate that for
people
you can facilitate healing you can give
them a a beautiful experience
that they'll never forget listen
the beauty is in the the contrast as
well because you can all you have the
power to to do
bad stuff like you can give them a
negative experience that they remember
for the rest of their life and it turns
into trauma
that's the power that you have with
every decision and every word that you
speak so be mindful
i'm telling you everything that i bring
to the table it has to have some type of
physical implication
your spirituality if not it's just weird
i it's ideas it's just it's vanity
it's prideful
you gotta you gotta come down here with
the people
and if there's anything that the beauty
of the message of the gospel of christ
that's what it is you know people say
jesus was god that became a man
and the beauty is that listen i'm going
to come down off my throne to be with
you guys
i want to be down here with you
i wanna i wanna
learn what it is to
to be hurt
i wanna learn what it what it means to
love i wanna learn what it means to have
my heart broken
um i wanna love without
prejudice i want to love without
barriers and to come down here and be a
person
so
the gospel in in the person of jesus
like
we elevate him so much
and there's i think there is a
there's a there's a
place where he should be elevated in our
hearts
and in our minds but
we elevate him to such a place where
he's not human
where
he's not moved with your infirmity
because he's too big there's too many
people praying there's too many people
this but to see christ is coming down
and being a person and being with the
people not just the people because he
could have just hung with the rich folks
like he was down here with the tax
collectors
with the drunkards
with the prostitutes
with the base people the rejects
and the movement that
sonny from pod brian head welch fly leaf
and a couple other ryan uh ryze reese
they started a move a movement called
the whosoevers
and that's what it that's what it's
about the who whosoever come
how god is not a respecter of persons
and how we should go after
the ones that society or the church and
religion has given up on
the rejects
the lepers
the story of the
lepers because the beauty about that
whole story and those whole ideas is
that that's somebody else right
you know milagros are speaking about the
racist and things today and most of you
who are listening like yeah that's not
me i'm not racist
but breaking out it's prejudice that's a
different word you have prejudice
against you have preconceived notions
you have stereotypes that aren't real
they're real to you
so yeah it's it's you
so even when we talk about the
prostitute when we talk about the tax
collector
and we talk about the lepers that if you
touch them you'll get poisoned if you
touch them you you're going to be like
them so stay away from the lepers don't
let them touch you that's the religious
mindset in the religious spirit
those are the people who christ came for
he came for those who were broken
those who were hurt
and we read those stories and we say
yeah those are interesting and he did it
for those people
but
the disconnect that you have
is that you're not one of those people
when you are
and in the gospel and and
beauty truth and grace and the power of
the cross and the power of acceptance
becomes so
real
and that story gains its potency with me
when it's like i'm the leper
i'm the one who was overlooked i'm
the drug addict
i'm the drunkard
i'm the
abuser i'm the abused i am all of those
things that that he came for
to think that i'm the prostitute
i'm all of that stuff
so it becomes real it becomes about you
your story and giving more credit to pod
they have a song
about that called i am
off of the murdered love
album and literally the lyrics explain
what i just said that i am the secret
cutter the porn lover the town drunkard
like to hear him embrace that but not
point the finger to say no that's me
are you the one who's came to set me
free
because if you knew who i really was
would you still die for me
you talk about potency man
you talk about making it personal
so i'm taking all of that into the
concert when we have this encounter with
him
you know and how much his his lyrics and
his words and
his connection means to me
and to uh and how much the gospel and
the connection like it's just it makes
it that's why i'm
you know i tear up trying to explain
this it's not it's it's not just one
thing it's it's all of it together which
and i was just in my head too
you know i've been crying a lot i'm
crying on this podcast listen i was
crying on this podcast three weeks ago
for other reasons
for other reasons for people dying
people being betrayed my good friend
just got shot up in a car i cried for
him
other friends are passing away from
things that are happening in the world
right now sicknesses i'm crying i'm
weeping for them
but this experience like malagro says
it's unique
it's about crying
it's about heartache we don't want it we
don't welcome it
but it's about it
because in this realm
it's part of the laws
you got to learn
you have to learn to be ripped off and
not grow bitter
you have to learn to respond with love
to respond with grace to respond just
like christ did
that's why that's why i owe him my
everything man
not only did he do that for me but he
taught me and he continues to teach me
as an example
whether it's through the holy spirit
that's still here with us today
or whether it's through just reading the
words that were recorded
about the life that he lived and the
people that he impacted
that is still impacting people
2 000 years later well you know the
bible's fake and he didn't really it
don't matter that story resonates deep
down to your core
whatever you believe transcend that
belief because that's a stereotype too
and it's holding you back from receiving
not me
not me i'm i'm forever indebted to this
beautiful immaculate grace
that that speaks to me through that that
story through that person through the
holy spirit that loves and cares for
each and every one of us
and
uh my life is dedicated to sharing that
and the idea i've been thinking about i
i speak about it on the on the podcast
all the time but even at the concert
after pushing him up and being
teary-eyed and
again last week i was crying for this
and crying for that and crying for this
and i cry a lot life is full of
amazing highs
amazing high that was an amazing high
so many highs
bliss of a meditation
a spiritual encounter
which i embody those experiences in my
music and on this show
but also the lows
because the highs wouldn't be highs
unless you have a contrast of making it
low
unless you've been to rock bottom
those who sat in darkness beheld a great
light unless you were in that darkness
you there's no appreciation
for what that light is and then you grow
in it through revelation
through experience
through knowledge
what is the experience
thou shalt not steal
okay well the scripture says that and
i'm not going to steal because it says
you shouldn't
no how do you how do you make it person
that's a head knowledge that's a book
knowledge how do you make it personal
the law is written on your heart so
there's that for sure but how do you
make it personal well you have something
stole from you
somebody steals something from you and
you feel you know the way it makes you
feel
ah that wasn't good
man that hurt
that hurt bad
and so therefore you move forward and
you don't want to cause harm to your
brother to your sister
you don't want to covet your neighbor's
wife
and you begin to naturally
do the things that are written of in the
law and in those scriptures
without even having to read you just
find out oh wow that was in there too
that's something i naturally do
part of the
morality do unto others
it becomes real
on many levels you learn
so
learn to facilitate
that experience
grab the wheelchair push them in the
mosh pit
same as is this for my music
what kind of music would you like to
hear well i would like to hear a song
that embodies prayer a song that is just
focused on prayer but makes it sound
magical and makes it sound fun and
how do prayers travel when they leave
how do i feel when i pray where there's
an energy that enters me and i begin to
vibrate when that lady sung over me how
did i feel well let me articulate that
i've never heard a song like that
when she sung over me it's little ones
but not on a spiritual level maybe on an
emotional level let me talk spiritually
there's an impartation there's a release
there's energy there's there's this it's
that and start creating from that place
of what you want to see
where you want to birth into this
existence
and hopefully your mind is renewed
and your spirit is renewed and you
maintain it and you continue
to birth
and create beautiful things in life
to make other people's experience
a little bit more pleasant
than it was
that's everything i teach
and it's exactly the entire podcast
that you just heard today

because in doing that
you're creating it for yourself
you're creating that experience
further for you to receive down the line
but also instantly whatever you do will
be measured and given back unto you
and also that person is another
vibrational frequency another
representation of you
we're connected
somewhere down the line we're related
as one race the human race

even when they don't deserve it
bless your enemies pray for them that
use you that this despitefully
speak against you those people wake up
and they make it
their their goal their plan to
misunderstand you to label you to judge
you they make it their goal
do you respond to that frequency
do you get on their level
or do you rise above it and say nope i'm
maintaining my peace
i'm not gonna go down this rabbit hole
you're trying to pull me into of of
whatever it is
you choose this day the power
of
your words
the power of an ex experience and ex
i always take it with me i always have
i say me because i have to make it
personal i would hope that you would
look over your life and see
where you were a healer where you were
someone who impart and imparts a
beautiful experience in a beautiful
encounter and maybe even trace that back
by being mindful of of things that
didn't turn out right
or didn't it didn't work i tried i put
myself out there you know what a lot of
people are they find themselves in in
bad relationships a lot
and they begin to be used and abused in
those things and they keep projecting
themselves in there could it be the fact
that you're trying to to fix somebody
that's broken
and they're just taking advantage of you
you're trying to be the healer you're
trying to be the facilitator for this
piece and this restoration
but it just doesn't happen you get too
close you don't have boundaries look
over your life and see where you
facilitate that
i remember when i was in a metal band
called prayers fall like bullets i
played bass and did some vocals here and
there
um
every show we did i had this thing where
we made it so that there was like this
really heavy emotional breakdown at the
end of the song it's just really heavy
real easy to play it's like one note you
just got to find the rhythm
and it's just rhythm and we call
everybody on stage
so we made the people a part of it y'all
come rush the stage now the people
aren't in the crowd the whole
crowd at least the people who wanted to
be were on stage and they were martian
and hardcore dancing
and they're on the drums and and it was
beautiful because they were a part of it
and now when you leave like
you're going to remember something that
we gave you with this experience you're
going to remember something
and uh especially if you get to rush the
stage if you get to grab the microphone
some people would take the mic
but since i had the bass i would try to
find somebody
random person usually a young kid
and i'd go over there and whisper in
their ear before the breakdown hits in
the end of the show i say hey uh
i'm gonna give you my bass and i want
you to play this last part what what do
you mean what no listen take the bass
and it's simple you just hit this chord
on the rhythm
that the drums and everybody else is
hitting the same rhythm
and so even a kid can do it even if you
mess up it's not about it because
there's other chaos with people
everywhere so i take the base and give
it to that kid
here we go man and it would go and this
random kids
playing bass in the band and
man i wanted to facilitate that
experience why because i know if i was
in the crowd
at a pod concert
or whatever concert and they made it
personal and they
crafted an experience that i would never
forget listen i that's every
conversation guys
something you'll never forget something
that that i can impart that you remember
me hopefully in a good way
that's true that's the goal and i began
to trace that back to my life and and so
much so and and prayer and meetings and
congregating people and it's like man
you're
you're here to heal man you're here to
impart some beauty
take advantage of it through your music
through your philosophy through your
love through your actions
whatever it is that you do do all things
as you're doing it for an audience of
one
that is going to have that lasting
eternal value on somebody's life it will
inspire them and that was the goal and
guess what it works
they pay it forward
they start a ban do the same thing
you guys don't know how many people
start podcast because they heard this
one
there's a lot
they message me think about the people
who don't message me do you know how
many people start patreon pages because
they
see my patreon and how it works and how
it's a beautiful model just for support
and people i interview
and i read off your names and thank you
and and they're like oh wow they're
taking notes
show people
how it is to be done show them how it is
to love their enemies show them how it
is to to create a impartation of of
beauty
and that's going to be the best teacher
because i can show you
better than i can tell you people we've
been being told our whole lives do this
go there don't do that good people do
this but you're being told all these
parameters
it doesn't mean that they're true
that's part of the programming
but when you see it
when you see it in operation and when
you see it in function
it has the most impact
it'll change your life
because you're telling me one thing but
you're doing another
listen it changed everything about
christianity for me
i would people would say one thing and
do another
hold on
and they still think that philosophy and
or or dogma or doctrine is truth no
jesus is truth
love is
truth no the doctrine says this oh god
only love some people now hell out of
here that's not my doctrine
that's not my doctrine my doctrine is
that while i was yet a sinner
while i was yet a prostitute while i was
yet a drug addict and whatever you were
whatever you are
that's where his love reaches out to you
while you were yet
a sinner christ died for the ungodly
and he brought many many many of us home
it's not a one-time thing guys
it's there
you did it
and i know it's easy to want to be
divorced from that idea
that i'm not that anymore
it just takes one experience
it takes one person to cross that line
for you to
get at them
for you to be the old yeah you know um

keep messing around with me and turn me
back to the old me

you don't understand who we are
why is this guy talking like he's black
he thinks he's black okay well
you're not a rapper i mean i'm a rapper

now i grew up
being the only you know used to call me
oreo because i was the only white kid in
in the class at the table like you pick
up on things you product or your
environment
like
come on put yourself in somebody else's
shoes and that's what people fail to do
is just walk a mile in their shoes
you know that's biblical right
and jesus says when when someone bid you
to walk a mile with them walk too
we think about physically walking with
them and being there for that person but
listen spiritually in their shoes

you just feel jesus is moved by the
compassion of the people
because he's been through it

picked being picked last
you know all of that stuff it does
something to you so you wanna you don't
want anybody else to experience that
you don't want to hurt anybody you won't
want to do no harm

really knowing that that's an authentic

with uh using our vocal cords honestly
when she began to talk about that at
first and i heard her story i didn't i
didn't put two and two together of um
speaking or singing
obviously she's a speaker so put two and
two together but i i was only thinking
in terms of okay she uses singing bowls
you know she uses sound healing which is
very popular right now
and she did and she does but to also
combine the singing with it
having a love for opera and to be able
to heal people with her vocal chords and
singing and lectures too obviously they
go hand in hand but that was that was a
beautiful surprise that uh we got the
experience too you know

and surrender to the creator

heart i still trust you oh i wouldn't
trust god after that no
heck no i give up on him after that you
know when you see to add to the potency
context
yeah man that guy was a prostitute that
woman was a prostitute man
now she has a family now she has a
career that she loves now this that guy
was a drunkard man that guy was demon
possessed he was mad he used to cut
himself
but now he's
in his right mind holding down a family
holding down the fort
like you add context to it and and
everybody you know because i know we
deal with people from all walks of life
on here and i honor your truth
but that's what makes it real for me
and people to say
you know again i addressed it people
think that you know
jesus is this or jesus is that or the
bible is a myth and there's we have
those people in the audience for sure i
honor you
what if it is
i judge the fruit
and i know that that myth and that story
impacted somebody's life who was not was
once this
and they're now that
i don't have no proof i didn't i wasn't
alive 2000 years ago i'm not going to
tell you that i was reincarnated as a as
somebody who followed jesus 2000 years
ago and reincarnated here as truth
seeker and i continue to follow him no
i'm not going down that path some people

hey it's between you and them if you
believe it but i will say
that i wasn't there so i don't know
exactly what happened or if it happened
to say 100 certainty i do know that that
story resonates with me i do know when i
pray there's a feeling there's a there's
a connection when i tap in and i start
doing those principles and i read that
book consciously like god is speaking to
me and wanting to show me things and
reveal things to me and i begin to read
a book that turns into a mirror
about myself
and that's all i need the only proof
that i need
is a life transformed
the proof is in the pudding
the system works if you work it
so
that's what it is
and if and people want to prove and
people want to you know
try to find noah's ark and that's what
they need like if they find noah's ark
they'll believe and then you got people
grasping for straws you know like
they'll make up some weird wood that was
found in a mountain and say yeah that
was noah's ark they found noah's ark
it's like
you're just looking for any
anything to prove what your the
scripture says listen don't worry but
you have nothing to prove the servants
of the lord must not strive
show them
better than you can tell them
with a life a life devoted a life
transformed
you know
you hear the term of how do you know
someone's a vegan
they tell you how do you know somebody's
a christian
they tell you hey i brought up without
them sharing listen when you can look at
somebody's life and say man what must i
do
to go deeper in my relationship with the
creator
just by watching your life just by
talking to you man i feel some type of
way
by talking to you what is it what's the
next step man i want what you have what
is it man
such an honor
versus me trying to sell you something
i have nothing to sell
freely i receive freely i give
there's nothing to sell and then you
have to you have to take it upon your
own volition if you want it or not

not just put it on an album but put it
on youtube they uh demanded that i i
take it down and i received a copyright
strike on my channel um i thought it was
one but i know two strikes your your
channel doesn't um
you can't live stream anymore
and so they ping my channel with the
what they uh copyright notice
and if you try to go back and forth with
them as far as
you know
you have rights to to do a cover song
and put it on youtube or whatever
if you lose it can actually count as two
strikes or you lose your channel or you
piss them off and they hit you with a
lawsuit
over
a fun spontaneous cover song that you
wanted to do so i got that from sony
because they are
um
that band is a part of that uh that
label and so
that's what happened with it so i'm
gonna take that song off
sometime i got so much work to do ahead

without that song on it and that's
happened in the past i have received a
cease and desist from different
uh companies there was a company out of
germany that hit me up because
um
one of the the producers that i used the
beat makers amos the ancient prophet who
worked with the lost children of babylon
beast 1333 illuminati congo all those
guys
uh would would send me beats to rap on
and it was a beautiful beat that we did
and um
the song was called spir spirit
awakening and um
there was like these
monks chanting in the song
and uh he sampled it from this german
company a gothic
orchestral company that just does music
he sampled it put a beat beat to it
and
felt like he changed the pitch a little
bit but it was a beat there was other
instruments too
and so a lot of times with sync
licensing a lot of time the stuff gets
hit because once you got lyrics on top
of it there's a keyboard the timing
changes up a lot of times whatever you
sample doesn't get picked up
sometimes it does in this case it did
when i uploaded it it said
um
being content being claimed by
so-and-so gothic media group out of
germany i didn't think twice about it
was in the early days of figuring this
stuff out i just knew that they would
whatever
money was made off of youtube that they
would collect i mean that's how that
works with pings and
sync licensing if you will
well like a year later uh
they ended up reaching out and sent this
cease and desist and said you have to
take this album down right now so they
reached out to itunes and they pulled it
and they also reached out to me and it
made me pull it from everywhere i asked
them about getting the rights to it so
how do i get rights how do i buy the
rights to to keep this song up or
whatever the case is and there were no
help they usually aren't they do it's a
weird spike thing it's almost like a uh
like a facebook admin thing when you
when you're in a group and you you
promote your own stuff or you share
something that they don't like and they
just like there's no even talking about
it you can't these are the rules and so
there's like this authority thing that
kicks in and they wouldn't even tell me
how i can do it and uh they were saying
you need to quit working with that that
guy asap and make sure all of your other
songs aren't sampling our work and they
were like threatening me with lawsuits
and stuff so
part of it man we're trying to figure
this stuff out as we go and if anybody
knows anything about hip-hop and music
in general hip-hop is founded on
samples like actually taking records
playing a sample and scratching it and
they're they're in songs from the
beginning of hip-hop and rock music to
this day
um so it's a tricky tricky place you
know so
the album's not up right now it was
taken down but i'm gonna put it up
asap so
there's some some context right context
and clarity so the next time you hear it
or if you can find
chika cherry cola somewhere uh by true
seeker remix there will be some potency
there like hey this song is
this song's illegal this song's not
supposed to be out
so if you have it download it and all
that kind of stuff it adds some context
to it a little bit
and uh and that may be one of the
reasons why even though i removed that
song other song off of spiritual alchemy
um
i removed it totally
and re-uploaded it and even some years
later it
they pulled it off of
itunes for no reason
like it complied like i like i pulled it
again because it had to resubmit it so
it's on all the other streaming
platforms
except apple music and itunes
so
navigating through this stuff and
learning is a big part of it so
