In this TruthSeekah Podcast episode, Riaan Swiegelaar discusses automatic writing, Christ consciousness, crystals in Scripture and the second coming within.
Welcome back to the TruthSeekah Podcast. In this episode, former Satanic Church of South Africa co-founder Riaan Swiegelaar joins us for a deep conversation on Christ consciousness, automatic writing, and spiritual revival. Riaan Swiegelaar is the founder of the Spiritual Revival Network and has dedicated his life to helping individuals cultivate an authentic relationship with God. In this candid discussion, we explore how divine wisdom flows directly from the Holy Spirit into open hearts.
Many believers wrestle with dogmatic traditions that limit their spiritual growth. However, when we encounter the living presence of Jesus Christ, religious barriers fall away. Riaan Swiegelaar shares his extraordinary journey of receiving divine downloads, understanding biblical metaphysics, and recognizing the second coming of Christ within human hearts.
From the Satanic Church of South Africa to Christ: the Riaan Swiegelaar testimony
Riaan Swiegelaar is not a lifelong minister. He spent roughly two decades in Christian ministry, walked away into atheism, and then spent about four years inside Satanism, where he co-founded the Satanic Church of South Africa and served as one of its reverends. He was instrumental in getting the organisation formally registered as a religious body in South Africa.
By his own account, what drew him in was not power but pain. Over three years he met several thousand Satanists and concluded they shared a single trait: they were broken people looking for somewhere to belong.
The turning point came during a ritual. Riaan Swiegelaar stopped mid-practice and asked God directly whether He was real. He describes Jesus appearing to him in that moment and flooding him with an overwhelming love he had no framework for. Days later he announced the encounter publicly on Facebook and resigned his position, and the Satanic Church of South Africa confirmed his departure. The story was reported internationally in July 2022.
An openly gay man, he has said that what God showed him in that moment was that Christianity is not a gated community, and that grace and love arrived before any demand that he clean himself up first. That emphasis on love ahead of doctrine runs through everything he teaches today.
Where is Riaan Swiegelaar now?
He founded and currently leads the Spiritual Revival Network, a global community for healers, ministers and seekers, and works as a mentor and spiritual teacher. He still speaks publicly about his years in Satanism, though his focus has shifted almost entirely toward inner healing, hearing the voice of God, and the spiritual gifts he believes every believer already carries.
Riaan Swiegelaar on Automatic Writing and Downloading Divine Wisdom
Several years ago, Riaan Swiegelaar experienced a life-changing encounter with Jesus Christ. Following this face-to-face meeting, Riaan began taking early morning walks along the beach at 3:00 AM. During these quiet moments, he started asking deep spiritual questions. What began as simple prayer gradually transformed into an overwhelming flow of divine revelation.
Riaan sat on the sand with a pen and notebook, unable to write fast enough to catch the rapid stream of insights. Over time, he filled more than 510 handwritten pages with spiritual teachings. He describes this process as spirit-led writing, where the mind becomes a clean conduit for heavenly truth.
“I realized very quickly that this information was not coming from my cognitive intellect. The Spirit was giving me wisdom and biblical connections that transcended my natural understanding.”
Riaan
First Corinthians chapter two explains that the Spirit searches all things, even the deep secrets of God. When believers align their hearts with the Holy Spirit, divine revelation flows naturally. Riaan emphasizes that every son and daughter of God possesses the capacity to hear the Father’s voice directly.
Relational Faith vs. Rigid Religious Systems
Throughout religious history, institutional systems have attempted to control access to God. Leaders often positioned themselves as indispensable intermediaries between seekers and the Divine. By contrast, Jesus came to tear down these restrictive barriers and establish a personal, heart-centered relationship with humanity.
Riaan notes that true spiritual awakening often threatens dogmatic religious structures. When individuals discover that they can approach God directly in prayer, institutional gatekeepers frequently react with criticism and judgment. Modern Pharisees often attack unconventional testimonies because those testimonies bypass religious hierarchies.

However, true faith is not defined by external conformity or denominational rules. Jesus declared that the Kingdom of God does not come with visible observation; rather, the Kingdom of God is within you. Consequently, our primary calling is building an intimate, daily walk with Christ in spirit and in truth.
When we anchor our security in God’s love, human judgment loses its power. We can extend grace to our critics while remaining steadfast in our spiritual calling.
The Second Coming of Christ Within Us
One of the most profound topics explored during our conversation is the true nature of Christ’s return. Many traditional doctrines focus exclusively on an external, physical event in the sky. By contrast, Riaan presents a deeply transformative perspective anchored in the esoteric teachings of Jesus.
Scripture repeatedly declares that Christ in you is the hope of glory. Riaan explains that we are entering a major two-thousand-year spiritual dispensation. During this era, humanity is called to experience the second coming of Christ within human hearts. Rather than waiting passively for an external rescue, believers must allow the nature of Christ to be fully manifested in their lives.

Furthermore, in Luke 22:10, Jesus instructed His disciples to follow a man bearing a pitcher of water into a house. In ancient symbolism, the water bearer represents the astrological era of Aquarius. We are entering an era characterized by the outpouring of living water and spiritual awakening across the globe.
As we surrender our egoic desires, Christ’s character rises within us. We become the living hands, feet, and voice of Jesus on Earth today. This internal metamorphosis represents the true power of the Gospel.
Resurrection, Metamorphosis, and Soul Growth
During our discussion, we examined how divine grace facilitates continuous soul growth. Traditional views often present salvation as a rigid, one-time legal transaction. However, biblical transformation is a dynamic, lifelong process of spiritual metamorphosis.
Romans 12:2 commands believers to be transformed by the renewing of their minds. In Greek, the word for transformed is metamorphoo, describing a caterpillar changing into a butterfly. God systematically strips away our old habits, fear patterns, and lower animalistic desires so that our true spiritual identity can shine forth.
Furthermore, scripture speaks extensively about resurrection and spiritual renewal. When individuals wrestle with difficult life lessons, God provides continuous opportunities for repentance and restoration. His mercies are new every morning, guaranteeing that no seeking soul is ever abandoned.
Understanding this continuous grace allows us to release self-condemnation. We can forgive ourselves for past mistakes, knowing that God has erased our sins and aligned us with His eternal purpose.
Riaan Swiegelaar on Crystals and Vibrational Healing in the Bible
One of the most controversial topics Riaan addresses is the spiritual use of crystals and vibrational healing. Mainstream church tradition often labels natural stones as inherently dark or occultic. However, Riaan provides a balanced, biblically grounded perspective based on nineteen years of practical experience.
The Bible contains over two hundred references to precious stones, gemstones, and crystals, a subject explored in depth in What Does The Bible Say About Crystals? For instance, Exodus chapter 28 describes the High Priest’s breastplate, which contained twelve specific gemstones engraved with the names of the tribes of Israel. Furthermore, Revelation chapter 21 details the foundation stones of the New Jerusalem, constructed entirely from brilliant crystals.

Riaan clarifies that natural crystals do not possess independent healing power. God alone is the ultimate Healer. However, natural elements emit stable vibrational frequencies created by God. When used correctly, crystals help clear energetic blockages and emotional stress, creating an environment where God’s healing peace can flow.
During the years Riaan Swiegelaar was involved in dark occultism, he found himself completely unable to access or utilize crystal frequencies. This experience proved that natural creation elements respond only to pure intention and divine alignment. Everything God created is good when received with thanksgiving and prayer.
Key Insight
Riaan Swiegelaar makes a claim about crystals that almost nobody on either side of the argument makes: during his years inside occultism he could not access their frequencies at all. It was only afterward that they responded. For him that settles what the stones actually answer to.
Overcoming Internet Trolls and Religious Criticism
Sharing unconventional spiritual experiences online inevitably attracts harsh criticism. Trolls, religious zealots, and online mockers frequently publish derogatory comments and attack videos. Riaan and I explored how to navigate this hostility while preserving spiritual peace.
In the past, both of us instinctively reacted with defensiveness when attacked. However, spiritual maturity requires moving from reactive hostility to conscious, loving response. When we react with anger, we feed negative energy and validate the critic’s intent.
Genesis 50:20 records Joseph telling his brothers: “You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done.” Ironically, when internet critics publish attack videos, algorithms push those videos to thousands of viewers. Seekers in those audiences often discover our message of love and connect with our community.
By responding with compassion rather than retaliation, we turn intended harm into divine blessing. We pray for our critics, knowing that many are simply projecting their own internal pain and conditioning.
The Spiritual Revival Network: Riaan Swiegelaar on Healing the Healers
To support growing seekers, Riaan founded the Spiritual Revival Network. This global community provides a safe environment for healers, ministers, and truth seekers to activate their spiritual gifts. The network connects individuals with compassionate mentors who offer emotional support and prayer.
Riaan emphasizes that true spiritual teaching does not consist of imposing rigid doctrines onto students. Instead, an authentic teacher acts as a mirror, reminding seekers of the divine gifts already placed inside them by God. His work focuses on empowering individuals to walk confidently in their divine calling.
Through spiritual warfare training, inner healing, and community support, the network helps believers break free from fear and step into spiritual freedom.
