SCARS
Scars
This is the story of a boy named Ken
School just feels like a waste to him
Depression seems to get the best of him
Because Ken doesn't look like the rest of them
He tries so hard and he wants to fit in
But he's the last to be picked by the kids in gym
Suicide is not the answer,
He feels all alone momma died of cancer
The teenage dream will he break the habit
Now he's digging through, the medicine cabinet
Does what he can to release the pressure
And run from the past of mistakes and questions
But that's hard to do with a pill addiction
Dead to the world with loss of vision
He fades away into another dimension
He slips off into the abyss of he's missing
He can see the light off in the distance
But the Xanax seems like an better decision
He cries for help but nobody will listen
And maybe he will only be another statistic
He's adopted into a broken system
At home he's alone longing for attention
He locks himself in his room and and listens
To music that sooths him and drops the tension
There is love from above from another dimension
Jen is 13, what's big deal
Just an outcast, nothing to fear
She cuts herself because she wants to feel
And yet the pain runs deep, and the scars won't heal
As she sits in the class, the people are near
The smiles are fake but the tears are real
Do you need a friend? Is what she hopes they ask her
But everyone ignores her, they constantly pass her
Looking for acceptance outside herself
Has led to mistakes crying out for help
She wishes that she was just somebody else
Someone to cope with the pain that she felt
Her hopes and dreams seem like a fairytale
And She's dying to stop this carousel
as she falls to her knees only time will tell
bring it all to an end kiss it all farewell
She sits by herself and she wants to fit in
But What's broken can never be perfect again
Until She fell in love with a boy named Ken
And Jen ran away to be together with him
Two twin flames understand each other
Spiritual healing left in wonder
Forgiveness led them to rediscover
The power of love and devotion that summer
You don't have to hurt anymore
You don't have to hide your scars
There's healing in the arms of God
And you don't have to cry yourself to sleep
My love is all you need
Bridge
Love won, love wins
What's broken can now be made whole again
