I've tried to wash it all away, but the memory remains
Of my regret, so many mistakes, from the choices that I've made

Repeating the visions of my father walking out the door

Sometimes I hate myself or at least I hate what I've become
Then I look around I start to see I'm not the only one
God I ask you to finish the work that you've begun

But I know emotions lie and one day that they are bound to change
So I won't be bullied by the demons of my yesterday

Please heal my pain or at least give me some novacane
