Across thousands of years, people have described one of the most astonishing of all human phenomena: the near-death experience (NDE), the subjective experience of an Afterlife, a place where we apparently survive death. The more powerful the NDE, the more profound the after effects. The ambitious reset their priorities. Atheists change their values. Doctors rethink their beliefs. But what if the after effects of an NDE were undeniable? What if someone suddenly developed the ability to produce high quality paintings of their NDE, a new-found skill that went far beyond the artistic ability they had before? And what if that same person then suddenly acquired the ability to compose classical symphonies after their NDE? And their symphonies were then premiered at sell out orchestral concerts, even though, to this day, they are unable to read or write a single note of musical notation. Wouldn’t this be proof that even a cynic would have a hard time explaining? After his NDE, this is exactly what happened to David. And this is his story.

Well,
um
I don't know. I mean, there's two things
really. Um
one is that I'm looking at
getting like a compilation uh
uh
piece of music. Well, a CD basically, a
whole compilation of all my work on it.
So, that's the next stage. I think I
want to get that out cuz so many people
are enjoying the music and they want to
be able to buy it and and not just
stream it and listen to it in their cars
or whatever. So, so yeah, that's the
next stage cuz there's plenty of other
music that I've written since.
And uh yeah. And who knows? I mean,
there's a few people
turning around saying, "Look, this
should be a movie, this story." And uh
that would be pretty good. So, who
knows?
Awesome. So, people want to get the
book, where's the best place for them to
go to get the book? Check out your work.
Um I guess Amazon really. Go to Amazon
um you know, and then and it's it's for
sale there. It's it's a it's it's been a
number one best-seller and in the US and
in the UK. So, it started off really
well.
Um so, I'm really pleased with that. So,
yeah, please go and order it through
there if you if you're interested. And
you know, or just go through the
website. Everything's on there. So, if
you go to
shineonthestory.com
and you can you know, it's like a hub
basically. You You can look at my
paintings. As I say, you can stream the
music from that first symphony. You can
hear all three movements. And you know,
there's a
a button there you can click on to to
buy buy the book which will take you
through to your nearest store that you
can get it, you know.
Awesome.
Yeah. David, thanks so much. The book is

the Afterlife, and the Astonishing Proof
I Brought Back With Me. Released on June
26th, 2020.
Uh everybody go get you a copy. Make
sure you check out his website. David,
thanks so much for coming on. I really
appreciate it, man. Enjoyed hearing your
story and the beauty that that you now
uh possess and are able to share with
people through your artwork, through
your book, through your music, and all
of that good stuff, and even through
these conversations just telling the
story. Thanks so much for hanging out
with me, man. I really appreciate it. A
real pleasure. Great seeing you. Okay,
cheers.
Many blessings, brother. Thank you. You
too. Bye now.
David Ditchfield, ladies and gentlemen.
Good stuff.
All right, there I am.
Okay, we're back, I think. Let me see.
There we are.
Technical problems. Be cool if I had a
producer back here handling all this
stuff while I was live. That'd be
awesome. Anyway, uh man, yeah, good
stuff.
Story of the afterlife, man. Um
journeying beyond the veil, if you will.
I was listening to um interesting David
and David, right? I was listening to
David Blaine um yesterday. David Blaine
on the Joe Rogan Experience podcast. And
um
it's really interesting cuz he talked
about
having a near-death experience as well.
Not a near-death experience, but
pretty much.
He talked about
what happens to the brain and what
happens to the body
um when you are deprived of oxygen.
So, he was talking about how the Navy
SEALs would um move past the threshold
of the fear of death to thinking that
that that they were going to drown.
So, he talked about um
them
going underwater and then when your
lungs start convulsing and you feel like
you're about to drown that you can go
like a long time past that. And he was
talking about being able to sit down
with Joe Rogan and teach him how to
at least hold his breath for 4 minutes
after a 20-minute hangout that he could
teach him how to do it. But, it talked
about like once you deprive yourself of
oxygen how
you get really high.
Like he talked about how you start to
have these visions and he says it's
stronger than any kind of psychedelic.
That once you're deprived of oxygen that
you're you know, when people get knocked
out and then they come back and they're
like they don't know where they are.
Some people think that they were at a
ballroom dance or they don't know where
they are. They just doing something.
They get knocked out and literally 4
seconds later they come back and they
they have no idea where they're at where
they're at. Somebody has to tell them.
You got knocked out. It's okay.
Um
but talking about depriving oneself of
oxygen and it just producing like a
psychedelic. It's almost like a trigger
in your brain when you die. Is it a veil
that you pass through?
That when you die that you uh body is
fearfully and wonderfully made and you
go through this experience that feels
like a strong psychedelic that lows you
that many people are mistaken
for dying.
You know, they thought they died because
now they're
they're deprived of oxygen and they're
having this out-of-body experience, this
really deep psychedelic that the brain
kind of produces like this really strong
dose of DMT that is poured out in the
brain.
It's just things that make you go hmm.
Like Keith Leon, hey brother, I see you
commenting. He says, hmm. Right, I mean
this is something to think about. You
know,
um
or did they really die and did they
really step into the afterlife? Cuz we
know that a lot of those similar
experiences
um come through psychedelics, come
through ayahuasca or psilocybin or even
really deep states of Kundalini yoga.
You facilitate these spiritual
experiences through the release of DMT,
right? Your breathing. It's almost like
whether you're depriving yourself of
oxygen or your
um oxygenate
oxygenating
the blood of the name.
When you're doing this really deep
breath work and you feel high, you can
have visions, you can hack the dream
state. Is it a part of your breathing
that that allows you to tap into that?
But it's very interesting to to tie it
two and two together, you know.
The the near-death experience and seeing
angels and seeing past family members
and people who have gone on behind the
veil. And so when you're in this state,
do you get to see them
because it's something that is naturally
happening in the brain, this this veil
that you're passing through?
Maybe they're tied in together. Maybe
you pass through that and then you're
into the afterlife.
Or maybe
it's not the afterlife at all. It is
this
uh psychedelic experience that your
brain is producing because of lack of
oxygen. Who knows?
I don't know. I'm not an expert. I know
that there's very similar stories and
very similar practices on both sides. Um
what consciousness is is funny as well
of of how it works and how we interact
with it. So, just something to note,
something very interesting. To to to
really be a Berean, to really give
yourself over to studying this stuff and
a lot of it you can experience and uh
even David Blaine says he's he's hacked
that many times of of being deprived of
oxygen and um and being really weird,
loopy, and don't even know where he's
at, you know? So, it's really
interesting to see. So,
read some of these comments here. Keith
says, "So good to see you, brother. Life
is beautiful." It's a bridge state,
exactly. Yes. I believe it, man. I
believe it that there's uh this place
that kind of gets you ready to receive
what's on the other side or gets your
body gets you ready to tap into that.
Again, with the breath work and
cuz some of the stuff that comes and uh
it's very similar for a lot of people.
The angels, the white light, the healing
light, and all that kind of stuff. I've
seen this light that healed me.
Yeah, as far as I'm concerned, we tap
into that through deep states of prayer,
through visualization, through breath
work and guided meditations, and we
interact with that light, the hidden
light, the the light of Christ, the
light of God um that we interact with on
the other side. So, um the that's the
beautiful thing. Like, once you've
experienced it, now you can go back to
it,
you know, whether it's working with the
angels or working with the the beings
that you've encountered on the other
side. Some would say interdimensionals
or some would say UFOs or aliens,
whatever you want to say, but they're
angelic in nature, you know, the higher
vibrational beings that people touch.
And even with that, how do people
contact them?
Through their consciousness, through
breath work, through prayer, in the
dream state. And how do they
communicate? Telepathically.
Do they speak to you audibly? No.
It's through telepathic communication
with the angelic.
Sending thought forms and frequencies
through the the mind. And he talks about
Um one thing David talked about, David
Dishfield, said that when he feels like
the the angels are present, that his
third eye will begin to tingle. It like
stimulates the third eye. So, that's how
you tap into communication.
Right? It's through the pineal gland,
the DMT, tapping into it. So,
all beautiful. We're fearfully and
wonderfully made. Like the body, there's
mood hand mudras that get you into a
relaxed state. It's really hacking the
trance state, man. Hacking the dream
state. The prophets and disciples did it
in the Bible.
Um
many other uh faiths and and religious
um
uh sects do it fasting. You know,
depriving the the body of food. Um
All kinds of of ways to tap into it. And
I love each and every one of them. And I
think that they're worth exploring. So,
it's really cool.
Um yeah, shout out to everybody who who
hooked up with us for our last men's
retreat, man, this past weekend. It was
really beautiful. It's always a blessing
to be able to connect with people in the
flesh. Many of these guys, it was the
first time connecting with them. They've
been listening to the podcast or
listening to my music for some time.
Couple of them had hit me up, you know,
through Instagram or something like
that. But uh for the most part, this was
the first time really connecting with
these brothers. And got to go out and
and and go into the woods and had a
beautiful ceremony um that we we tapped
into and um
had a great time. And so, just having
these in-person
um retreats have been amazing for me and
and for everyone else. And to hear the
testimonies that come back. I just I
love it. Cody, what up, man?
Um
so much fun. So much fun connecting with
these brothers that way and we we've got
another one coming up again. It's going
to be December the 12th. This is a co-ed
as well so that men and women can can
come because we've only done men's
retreats so far. So now we're doing men
and women. So if there's We have a We
had a lot of
women in the community who wanted to
come. Just to be straight up. You can do
it.
Six six seats left.
You know, if you're listening in to this
on the app, there's probably less. And I
can only really talk about it a few
times because those those seats go so
fast. So there was a lot of people who
wanted to come to the last one, but they
were already sold out. So if you want to
come, get you a ticket. Go to
truthseeker.com.
There should be a link there. And yeah,
inbox me, whatever it is. There's six
six
tickets for the men, six tickets left
for the females. And it's going to be
fun.
12 12. Weather should be perfect. So
um
So Cody said Cody was with us on the
retreat. Cody Cody says yo, tell the
getting followed story though.
The protector came out of you, Cody.
So I'mma tell the story. So I've told a
couple people.
Here we go. This is what happened. So
we're on the retreat, right? We're doing
the men's retreat. We are hiking. We
hiked down
a couple of the paths. We ended up
hiking to the water. We get get to the
delta and we go there. We had a
beautiful and it was right when we got
there. Right when everybody got
together, we did a little hike. So
we were tired and we were hungry. So we
were ready to get back to
our vehicles so that we can all go get
something to eat. So we're kind of
exhausted already and we're walking back
and we got a good good walk ahead of us.
And so we come to and it's eight guys,
right? Eight guys together. We come to
this crossing. It's a T
and we walk up to the T and there was a
there was a guy parked in a white truck
and he's got his arm hanging out the
window what looking at us.
And eight dudes and as we pass by, he
looks us up and looks us down and looks
us in the eyes, each one of us. Like
staring us down. And he's parked in the
road. So we walk past him and uh when I
walk past him, I was like uh I wanted
just said hello. I said, "Hey man, how's
it going?" He said, "Hey guys."
So we walk past him and we keep walking.
I was like, "Hey everybody, get over to
the side just so this guy can pass us."
So we get in front of him and he's just
driving real slow behind us once he let
us get in front of him. So it's like
is he going to pass? What's he got going
on? So he pulls up next to us and he
stops and says, "Hey guys, what's going
on?" And I was like, "Oh, nothing man.
We just came back from walking, you
know, down there on the on the pier." He
said, "Oh, what they got down there?" I
said, "What there's the
uh the water's down there if you want to
go to the water." One of the other guys
said, "It's the gulf, man. You can get
to the gulf." He said, "The gulf?"
I said, "Well, it's not the gulf. It's
it's the delta. It's right on the, you
know, the outskirts. The delta you can
go to the boardwalk." He had a lady with
him. I said, "Hey, you can go to the
boardwalk and walk down there and it's
really nice or whatever. It's a good
walk." So um
so he's he's still looking us up and
down while he's talking to us. He's just
looking us over.
And uh I was like, "Yeah, man, go." So
he asked my friend. He said, "Hey man,
what's in the bag?" My friend had this
bag with him.
He said, "Oh, it's my uh it's my camera.
I got my camera in the bag." He said,
"That's not a disc golf bag?"
No, it's a camera bag.
He said, "Okay."
And we're just standing there like, "All
right, dude. We'll holler at you." So we
just keep walking.
So we keep walking. I was like, "This
dude's weird, man. He's staring at us,
looking us up and down." So we walking
and then he starts following behind us
real slow again.
I was like, "What? Come on and pass us,
dude. Go ahead. Get past us." So
he passes us up
but then when he gets past us maybe
10 ft,
he pulls over and he gets out of his
truck.
And this guy gets out of his truck and
he's looking all weird and stuff.
And he's uh fidgeting with things in the
back of his truck. And then he's going
to the woods. He's pointing all up in
the trees and pointing at stuff and then
he looks really close to one of the
trees and he's pointing at the bark
really close at the bottom of the tree.
He's just like doing these weird
sporadic
movements trying to He's trying to like
buy for time for us to walk back up to
him.
So, he's in front of us and we're
walking past him again. He's like
pointing at the dirt and the tree and
it's like
really strange movements this guy's
doing. So, we walk past him
and uh he looks at us when we go past
us. He said, "Hey guys." Again, I was
like,
"All right, man. Let's get over." So,
then we walk past him. As soon as all of
us get past him, he jumps back in his
truck and starts following along with us
again behind us real slow.
And at this time, I'm like, "All right,
dude. Yeah, this is weird, bro. I'm
getting I'm getting weirded out. I'm
getting paranoid." I said, "Hey
everybody,
this next cut off right here is There
was like little trails off of the road.
Let's go down this trail so
he can't follow us down the trail." So,
we're like, "All right." So, we start
walking a little bit faster. And he's
still following us real slow and I'm
trying not to make eye contact with this
dude. So, we're walking and then we go
down the trail and we kind of hurry up
and go down there. We start walking off
the trail.
And uh we're we're walking and
he starts coming down the trail and I
look at one of the guys cuz I didn't
want I didn't want to look at him. I
said, "Hey man, is this dude following
us, bro?
Is this dude really coming down the
trail in his truck? This is a walking
trail. He's coming He's driving his
truck down it behind us."
So,
we're walking and the dude He's like,
"Yeah, he's coming." So, I was like,
"Let me get off the trail." So, I got
off the trail and I got like in case the
dude tried to ram us or whatever. I I we
made sure there was trees in between us.
The dude was acting real weird.
So, I get off the side of the trail.
Some other people get off the other side
of the trail. Some people stay on the
trail and just get over a little bit.
Well, he pulls up behind us. He He
stops, turns his truck off, and gets
out.
And I was like, "Hold on, dude. You" And
we're We're like, "Hold on, dude. This
ain't weird." Most of us come from the
streets, just to be honest with you.
Most of us are from the streets. We You
know, we assess situations, make sure
everything's okay. When you're being
followed and weird dude messing with you
and looking over you and stuff like
that, you know, something's up. So,
Cody, the protector, the dude gets out
the truck. Cody runs up to him and says,
"Hey, man. What are you doing?
Stop following us, bro. You're freaking
us out. Stop following us. You ain't
even supposed to be driving down here."
He's like, "What, man? What, man?" He's
like, "No, you're not supposed to be
following us." And um He's like, "You're
freaking us out, dude." And uh "Y'all
are Y'all are tripping, man." He's like,
"Dude, you need to get back in your
truck and back out and turn around."
"What? What?" He's looking at us all
weird and um and we're all like
trying to make sure dude don't pull out
a gun or something. But all of us stop
him, so you know, there was eight of us
and two of two of them or whatever, but
um
Cody's saying that. And then Nick, one
of the other guys with us, comes up and
says, "Hey, dude." He's like Well, the
other guy's like, "I'm trying to get out
of here, man. I don't know how to get
out." We're like, "We're going deeper
into the forest. You need to turn around
and go the other way.
Don't follow us. We're going deeper in.
You back up and turn around." So, he
starts like backing up real slow and
reaching in his truck. And we're like,
"Hold on, man. We might have to rush
this guy or whatever." Like, you know
what I'm saying? Just It was real weird.
But he ended up getting back in his
truck and backing out real fast
and driving off. And he had tags or
whatever that he wasn't from the area,
you know? So, maybe we I told my wife,
she said we probably should have called
the law. We didn't. Um But yeah, that
was real weird. He's back there
probably, you know, doing math and
getting messed up and got lost in the
woods, but acting real weird like that,
man. That was a That was a funny It was
an interesting It definitely woke
everybody up and
you know, funny story I guess to talk
about, but you know, Cody Cody stepped
up and he's like, "Hey, man, get back in
your truck. Stop following us. You're
freaking everybody out, dude. You're
acting really weird. You need to go.
You got to go." So, shout out to Cody
for standing up for everybody.
And it was funny, too, because as we
were walking
one of the other brothers who was with
us, it was Josh Joshua was with us and
so he's he was big. Joshua was almost
like two times bigger than everybody.
And I said, "Hey, Josh,
uh, you need to, uh, if this dude stops,
man, you got to be the one to tackle him
cuz you're the biggest one."
So, it was fun. It was It was a It was a
lot of fun. And even that, as weird and
or whatever,
um, that was It was It was fun.
Keith says, uh, "He may have had a
message for y'all. What was the
message?"
Um,
I don't know. Don't do Probably for me I
would say don't do drugs.
Don't Don't do meth. The way he was
acting real sporadic and stuff was
definitely like a drug addict.
Um,
Chris says, "Poor guy. When he calmed
down, he probably realized he was messed
up."
Yeah.
So.
What's up, Benjamin?
Benjamin William Blessed One Wien has
become a sponsor
of the Truth Seeker podcast. Thank you,
man, for coming on. Uh, Flying Penguin
says, "I think he was attracted to your
light. He was messed up on junk and
seeing in the spirit realm." Yeah, see,
that's the That's the thing. You know,
we walk in the spirit, you know, but a
lot of us came from the street. There is
that hand in hand. Like, there's things
that you don't do.
You know, you don't mess with our
friends and you don't mess with our
family.
And so, that's it, you know. And so, if
we were by ourselves or just talking to
him, that's one thing. But when you're
like
you know, when something's off, you can
tell. It's different if like if spirit
and you say, "Okay, what's going on
here? Let us look a little bit deeper
into it." You know, his
you could feel it cuz like straight up
like when you're able to discern spirits
and someone is around you on drugs or
they're just their aura field is it's
jacked up with with other spirits
and just a lot of weird stuff going on,
you can feel it. So you got this other
person who's just like you can feel it.
And a lot of times it's intimidating.
If you're not like in your truth or
whatever, it can be intimidating. So it
wasn't a peaceful presence around this
guy. You know what I'm saying? It was
definitely
um
it was confusion. You know, well, you
know, maybe we should have prayed for
him and laid hands on him and sent them
away. We didn't, but you know, I'm glad
we didn't cuz we almost
we almost laid hands on him.
Repeatedly.
Don't mess with my friends and my
family, man. That's just what it is. We
had a lot of fun fun though, so that's
we started off the trip with that and
then
um went and and had dinner together with
everybody and and got to connect and it
was funny because our um our waiter
um was this black dude and he had uh
the a bandana on because, you know,
COVID.
Um but his bandana
had a bunch of the Grateful Dead dancing
bears on it. And he was a
he was pretty cool, but he would walk
away and we're like, "Hey, do y'all
think he knows what that is on his
bandana?" Cuz he seemed kind of like a
younger guy, too. You know, so a lot of
young people don't like Grateful Dead or
even know what the dancing bears are.
So when he came back, I was like, "Hey,
man, you know what those are on your
mask?" Somebody was like, "Yeah, do you
know what that is? Is that just for
looks or did they give that to you for
the company?" He said, "No, I know what
it is, man.
I know what it is, the Grateful Dead
dancing bears." He said, "The Grateful
Dead helped me through a lot of hard
times in my life and I was like,
"Yeah, man, we're actually headed to the
woods to uh to visit the the dancing
bears ourselves."
And we got to talking. We So, we took a
a picture at the dinner table and he was
in the picture with us. So, we we made
him get in the picture. So, but that and
then
um doing the breath work and um tapping
in through uh the ceremony and I got to
uh
get with all the individuals as we did
the hape and and um smudging ceremony
and breath work and prayer and being
able to bless and prophesy and read um
each person and kind of bless them with
something. For me, it was very special
and um something that was a little bit
more intimate than um
some of the other stuff that we've done.
So, I definitely want to continue to to
add that aspect of all of us coming
together doing really intense breath
work tapping in, doing the ceremony, and
um
you know, we we had the amanita as well,
amanita muscaria mushroom.
And uh which is not really psychoactive
unless in really stronger doses. It It
can be. But,
it's more of a sedative just to get you
to tap in. So, we did that with the
breath work. Then, we did the hape.
And um
then we went stargazing.
And we all seen some interesting stuff.
It was It was different. It was a lot of
streaks of light, which was interesting,
versus seeing uh beings or ships fly by
that were, you know, really slow or
stopping or or being able to track all
the way across the sky. Uh there was a
lot of really fast streaks of light that
we just kept seeing, which was
interesting. And um
and flashes of light, too, that
uh some type of lightning or something,
but real interesting. Uh miss It was a
little bit harder to tap in right now
because the mosquitoes down here in the
South will carry you away.
They will carry you away. So,
um we were trying to press in. You know,
we were trying to hook in and then just
killing mosquitoes and getting lit up.
But, we stayed out there for a while and
just, you know, all of the spiritual
stuff is fun. I love it. It's what we
do. We're going to continue to do it.
But, again, I think the biggest takeaway
for for these events and stuff have been
people coming together of like-minded,
um you know, we have the internet, we
have this podcast, we have our Thursday
night uh School of the Mystics, where
people can come together. We have
Discord, bunch of stuff. So, we able to
connect with people from around the
world who are like-minded, but it's
different when you're able to bring
everybody together under one roof or to
be uh in person with with each other and
to roll ideas off with with people
because in this in this walk, there's
this place that you you pass through
that feels like you're by yourself, that
nobody understands you, that you're the
only one going through this stuff.
So, that's something that a a lot of
people pass through. And so, to be able
to facilitate an experience like that
and see that everyone is connected there
and we help facilitate this and and
people uh get something from it. And
again, just the fellowship
has been uh really cool uh and and been
been one of the biggest parts from it.
And I'll say even
um
not the second trip that we did, um we
had some brothers come down.
I had a brother come down from Georgia.
He drove 7 hours.
And another guy came down from Georgia.
And they were literally 30 minutes away
from They live 30 minutes away from each
other.
So, they drove all the way 7 hours and
they got there, but then they met and
they became friends. So, now they're
you know, keeping each other
accountable, they're having phone
conversations, they're they went to the
beach together, they're going to dinner
together, all of this stuff. And then
another guy who came to the first
retreat
lived in New Orleans,
Brandon, good friend of mine, he moved
30 minutes away. So, now we got three
guys who have been to these men's
retreats who live 30 minutes away from
each other and now they're hanging out.
They have friendships and now they know
that they're not alone that literally
you know, we can hang out. We can they
can do breath work or whatever and
they're all connected right there.
And
and even Cody Cody's not Cody's like an
hour away from me. I didn't even know he
that he was in Gulfport. That's an hour
away. So, when we do events or we want
to hang out or whatever, he's just a
hop, skip, and a jump away.
And so, it's really cool to be able to
make those connections and be around
people in the flesh. Internet's amazing.
We talk with people. We got people
listening and checking in checking in to
what we're doing all over the world.
Literally, Benny is commenting in the
chat. He's in Australia right now.
And I know this we have people in New
Zealand. We have people in Ireland all
over the world, but to come together
with an event uh like-minded people
looking to lay some things down, looking
to pick some things up, just looking to
connect get some clarity and have a good
time where you can be yourself.
Like how many family gatherings do you
get to go to or how many church services
do you get to go to where you can really
be yourself? The word hypocrite comes
from playing many roles in a play. It's
somebody who they're they're these masks
that you wear and you turn the mask or
you turn the clothing backward and it's
a different costume and you slide the
mask over and now you're a different
person. So, it's one person who's like
wearing these masks and is not really in
their authentic self and when we hear
about the term being a hypocrite. And
so, a lot of times in these, you know,
when
but it's for good reason. You don't go
to your family reunion and start talking
about aliens. You don't talk about
ayahuasca, DMT, breath work, all of this
kind of stuff. Like, you can't. You keep
it to yourself. You go to church and
start talking about that, it's o w h h.
Off with his head. You're done.
Good friend of mine hit me up a couple
years ago uh once I was kind of done
with like organized church or whatever,
and they were just they were getting
back in it. So, two friends were going
to church here locally, and they were
begging me to come. It was like a
southern church, like real Pentecostal.
They're begging me to come.
And I was like, "Man, um I'm not trying
to come, man. I I ain't trying to come."
It's like, "Man, come on." They still
they were begging me. So, one one
morning I was like, "You know what?
I'mma get up and I'mma go to church with
them." And I called them, but they slept
in. And it was the same it was the one
Sunday that they didn't go. And I was
like I was trying to go cuz they would
say little stuff like
you know, uh "Derek, I think you don't
want to come because the enemy the enemy
meaning the devil is trying to keep you
out of church, brother.
The enemy is trying to keep you out of
church. You don't want to come." I said,
"Bro, I literally called y'all last
weekend I was trying to go.
I'm trying to come visit your church
because it means something to you and I
was going to come." And they were like,
"No, the enemy trying to keep you out."
I said, "Hold on, bro.
At the time he it was Watchman. He was
working on an album.
He's working on an album
um
that talked about spirit travel, leaving
your body, ascension. It talks about
aliens, um the afterlife. It talks about
meditation, yoga, pranayama, kundalini.
His album that we produced talks about
all that. And I said, "Listen, you're
begging me to come to this church. If
these people at this church find out
that you're walk that you're working on
an album that talks about doing
breathwork, that talks about contacting
aliens and angels, you're done.
You are done.
If they find out that you're doing this
and you're working on this album, you're
done. You can't be yourself. So, why you
want me to come somewhere that I have to
pretend to be someone that I'm not? No.
I don't want to do it. On the job, when
you work and you got to do it, most of
you. Some people start talking about
stuff on the job and they get in trouble
or they just looked at as weird. But I
remember when I was working full-time,
the only stuff I would talk I had to
I had to act like I was really into
football and stuff. Like I I knew a
little bit about the football players
and trades and stuff. And but when I got
to work in the mornings, we talked about
the weather
and football.
You know, and that's just what you had
to do. So you couldn't And it wasn't
you just can't be who you truly are. So
to be able to
produce
um uh
a grid, a tribe, a community where
people can be themselves. The And when I
say be themselves, you you be the person
that God has called you to be. What it
don't act like you're not into
something. Don't act like you don't look
into this. Don't act like you, you know,
cuz you could because of judgment,
because of the fear of rejection. Right?
So people live and and and they die to
themselves and they sell themselves
short every day because fear of
rejection. That if I tell you who I If
you really see the real me, you won't
like me.
And listen, we still got to deal with
that. Especially
with spirituality.
Especially with religion. Cuz any of the
people in your tribe, any of the people
in your community, even if you're a
coach or whatever and you're working
with people,
the the moment that you take it too far
or you say something that they doesn't
resonate with them, again, Keith said he
laughed at the OWHH.
That's what it is. It's off with his
head. The moment that, you know, you
We've had people that we I mean, even
when I was in the church realm, not even
mystical or whatever, but just a regular
church that if you have a different
difference of opinion on anything,
little small stupid stuff, it's called a
schism.
A schism is a difference in religious
beliefs that make a church split
or a brother a fellowship or a brother
split. You split because he believes
that guy is and I don't believe it. A
lot of that goes on, especially in
religion and spirituality. I've got
friends and people that I'm close with,
people who have
stayed in my home,
slept in my house, people who, you know,
I've done we've gone on vacations with.
I mean, so much stuff, people who you
think would never step away. And the
moment they see the real you, or the
moment they see the you the you that's
not what they painted in their mind, or
the moment that they find out, "Oh, you
believe you believe in Jesus still? I
didn't think we were doing the Jesus
thing anymore."
Boom, you're done. Whatever it is, it's
that schism, that's that hold on, and
you'll never hear from that person again
in your life. Someone who was really
close with you, someone who has gone to
war with you in prayer, someone who has
fasted with you, somebody who stayed on
the phone with hours with you, somebody
who you thought was really close, and in
instant, once there's something that
doesn't sit well anymore, they're done.
You'll never hear from them again. I
hate that.
But,
it comes with the territory.
It comes with the territory. You got to
get ready.
It's scary, cuz I hate having to assess
friendships like that.
And look around and be like, you know,
it it you know, whether it's if you see
the real me, then you won't you won't
really like me. So, I got to pretend to
be more spiritual than I really am. I
have to pretend that I don't do this, or
I have to do that, so you'll like me.
Like, that stuff still even once you
step in freedom and you're living it, it
still tries to come. You want to placate
to the you want to sing to the choir.
The people who are just
Yeah, you keep doing what you're doing.
Because once you switch it up, the
people leave.
Once you switch it up, because they're
so used to one certain side of you, once
they see that other side, they might not
like it. It wasn't what they expected.
Anytime that you switch anything up,
they want you to stay that way.
Um it's very sad. I've lost a lot of
friends over
um someone saying that they've had a a a
change in philosophy. Or I used to go to
this church, now I go to that church,
and I can't be your friend.
Man, I hate it. But again, it comes with
the territory. Sucks. I hate having to
be able to look at people and wonder how
long they're going to be here.
I just hate it 100%, but it's part of
it.
When we deal with religion, it's I help
people you know, try to transition out
of it. But guess what? Something
happens, and they want to go back.
Makes them want to go back. So, they're
out of religion, they're out of this,
but then
they want to go back, and so you you
represent something different to them.
You represent that you're a heathen or
someone who's lost their faith, or
someone who's into the occult, or
whatever. Or you're religious. I got
people who still see me as religious,
like friends from years ago. They still
see me as a being a religious,
in-your-face person like I used to be, I
guess. They see me at my worst.
So, that's it. But I just want to put
that out there. Don't take it personal,
guys. Listen, get into the the four the
four agreements.
It ain't personal.
It's not personal. Do not take it
personal.
As long as you're you're you're walking
in love, you're walking in the light, um
you become all things to all men so that
you can win some. That's biblical. Um
don't take it personal. Don't feel like
it's something that you did. People are
in different places in their walks, and
many of these people will leave leave
you and step out of your life and never
come back. Don't take it personal. It's
part of it. I know it's sad. I know it
sucks.
Um but it's part of it. You signed up
for it. So,
that's why they say, you know, at the
bar, never talk about religion or
politics.
Don't don't talk about that. I got a
friend of mine calls me up every morning
wanting to talk about politics and I'm
like, "Come on, man. You know I'm not in
that circus. I don't do that.
Come on.
It's like I value you enough not to even
talk about some of these weightier
matters that offend you because your
faith or your your belief is so
delicate. So, I would rather not even
talk to you about I would rather just
talk to you about football.
I would rather talk to you about the
weather because I know that once you
know what I truly believe about certain
things that it we're done. So,
all that being said,
to say that when we're able to
facilitate a company of people, whether
it's online community and then we're
getting together in in um
in the flesh
and you find those real brothers who the
Bible says you'll find
uh a friend these these friends who
stick closer than a brother.
And when it's talking about Jesus, I'm
talking about Christ, that's him. Like
that light, that love that will never
leave you, never forsake you. Uh you
didn't do anything to earn it, so you
can't do anything to lose it. And so, as
as that's the character and the nature
of love, the nature of Christ, then we
adopt that nature as well.
That you don't have to prove yourself to
me.
I mean, there's certain things Listen,
there is a a level of integrity. There
is a level of like
a standard that you must hold to for
sure, but it has
nothing to do with your doctrine. It has
nothing to do with your beliefs. It has
to you have just being a good person.
Right?
You just got to be a
a genuine person. And it whether or not
I don't care if you believe in the
Flying Spaghetti Monster. I don't care
if you believe that whatever. Just make
it up. The Octarian Council of Light
visits you every Tuesday and Thursday. I
don't care. What type of person are you?
And can we can we walk together? Can we
grow together in that? The Bible says,
"Can two walk together unless they
agree?"
And so, in the church they'll they'll
say, "Find what you disagree on." And
say, "Yeah, we don't we don't agree, so
we can't walk together." I say let's
find what we do agree on and build upon
that. That's all I do on this podcast. I
don't agree with all these stuff these
people bring on here, but I find
something that interests me. I find
something that we there's a common
interest and let's talk about it, man.
Let's go deeper into it. And you'll find
stuff that once you even you think
you're talking about the same thing and
then you're not. Listen, we do I'm going
to try to we're going to make it make
sense. We're going to make it fit. Let's
find what we agree on and let's talk
about it and you cuz once you do that,
you'll find that you have more in common
with people than you thought.
And I'm the blow the Christian or
religious paradigm up, it's
the Muslim.
To find out that you have more in common
with the Muslim than you thought. You
probably have more in common than you
have different.
With the Hindu.
With the Pagan. With the Witch.
Whatever. You have more in common with
these people, but your eyes are blinded
and you can't see that.
You can't see the commonality because
you've been taught to see the negative.
You've been taught to see what sets you
apart and what makes you different.
That's not where the power is. You're
going to you start making up things that
that
reasons not to be friends or reasons to
separate yourself and and blame it on
the other people. It's a form of
self-sabotage. You got to get rid of it.
You got to get rid of it. That's a form
of self-sabotage. You got to find out
how to work with people who are
different than you, who look like you.
If you're trying to build a business, if
you're trying to build a tribe and a
team, you can't just produce other
versions of yourself. Now, you're going
to attract those people, right? You like
attracts like, but you need people who
are good at at different things than
you. You don't need a bunch of yes-men
in your corner. You need to find
diversity.
And going back to the scriptures, this
is how my mind works,
the fivefold ministry were
the church operated and people who were
good at other spiritual gifts. Some
people who can delegate, some people who
can plan meetings, some people who can
prophesy or tap into the spirit. Another
person could see in the spirit. Another
person can
um organize and and and move a a event
of the spirit. Once someone sees it,
then it has to take some of how do we
how do we follow it? Okay, now I can
hear it. And so really the early church
were really big into using their
spiritual abilities and coming together.
Not separating yourself.
That's what we got to learn. The
churches tell you stuff like look at the
Tower of Babel when everybody tried to
come together. See, they were trying to
come together and blah blah so God
separated them. And this is these weird
beliefs that keep you separate from from
even your brothers and sisters, man.
Keith says he sees and hears angels.
Right? Some people can see and hear
them, some people can feel them.
Some people can discern. They can't even
see anything, but it's like coming
together. When you really want to see
people move in power and a really a
a a meeting flow,
man, when you got people with other
diversities of gifts and they come
together and they use them together,
it looks like a
Voltron. Everybody come to Power
Rangers. They all come together and they
all bring their piece and they form the
body on and they all become one big huge
force to be reckoned with.
Versus you get like 20 podcasters
hanging out. That's cool, whatever. But
you need a podcaster, you need somebody
who's good at graphic art, you need
somebody who's good at marketing, you
need somebody who's good at you know,
whatever, man. Artwork and all that.
Like you got it's really about the
diversity, which brings us all together
and finding that commonality so that you
can walk together. You want to be a
powerhouse, you can't do it alone. No
man is an island.
You can't do it alone. So
um giving you wisdom.
It's wisdom. You want you want to
graduate, you want to get to the next
level in the spirit realm? Um you got to
you got to pass these tests.
You got to stop doing the same thing
over and over that's not working, but
you're expecting different results.
Respond with love.
Bring people together. That's what
Christ is, so.
Some of these I'm reading the comments
as everybody's
typing. Um Benjamin says, "I love my
mother Muslim and Hindu brothers 100%."
Amen.
And so yeah, um
let's see. What's Teresa say? Uh I was
condemned to hell this morning in a
message first thing this morning. And
then Jeff says, "You're in good company.
They called Jesus a demon." Praise God.
That's Yeah, that is very comforting
comforting uh comforting. You're in good
company.
Cuz they said Jesus was working by the
prince of demons, Beelzebub.
You know, Jesus was healing people and
they said that the devil was healing
them. That's the stupidest thing I've
ever heard and Christians say it all the
time.
It's Christians say it all the time. The
devil's going around healing folks. Man,
get out of here. But then they say,
"Well, it's not a true healing. It's
only a partial healing."
He don't really heal you. Man, come on.
Every good and perfect gift comes from
your the father above.
Comes from the giver of gifts. Good and
perfect gifts. Healing is a beautiful
gift. I don't care how you got it. If
the doctor did it,
if you got it, you know,
how the devil ain't going around healing
people. That's what's wrong with your
theology. Calling people the devil.
You know.
Talking about the devil's healing folks.
Y'all crazy, man. Get out of it, man.
Like there's a lot of people I got get
some good friends of mine who's really
putting off a lot of this stuff who are
uh you know, finally finding peace in
their own mind cuz they getting outside
of that duality. There was a battle.
There's right and wrong, right? There's
this war and stuff that
