today's discussion my friend owen hunt
owen
what up man welcome to the true secret
podcast bro thank you so much for having
me man i love
everything you're doing and i'm so
excited about it all man you are doing
some awesome awesome stuff i have the
same issue with patreon
you know people will pop on you get the
shout out and then dip but i don't blame
them you know what i mean like it's all
it's all good i totally understand how
it is and
uh i'm just happy to have anybody who's
willing to contribute you know and
and basically just you know show me that
i've given something of value to them so
yeah
yeah i mean you have those people but
then you've got
the people that's been on since day one
literally i've got a good friend of mine
who
this joker i mean when there was three
patrons he was one of the top three now
i have like 183
and he was he's been there for years
ever since the beginning so i mean shout
out to those people who have been ride
or die and they don't
get their name shout out every podcast
because they're consistent
they need to have their names listed and
i usually have them scrolling on the
bottom but the
thing the server's been messed up and i
have to do that but they usually have
their names in
the in the podcast but oh man uh you had
me on your show
reached out to me and i got to check you
out and see what you were bringing to
the table and uh
uh we had a great talk we got we got
really deep we started talking about
conspiracies and donald trump and all of
this stuff and
all the things that get me in trouble
that i don't talk about on my podcast
i talked about with you on your show man
uh
you want to talk about a little bit that
interview and just that
you know your podcast and what you're
bringing to the table on that end
absolutely yeah i try and find folks uh
who are really into healing
self-development uh just really trying
to you know bring
bring a light and some levity to all of
this because i do like the deep and
heavy topics
but for my purposes i really like to
present them in a way that's
as fun as possible you know uh that
people can
understand and have a laugh with you
know it's important to me
that we can you know experience all this
that's going on
and then also not take it too seriously
you know life is a
cosmic joke as the buddhists say you
know like
a very serious one uh so i i really
appreciate you being willing to go down
that
uh whole rabbit hole with me that was an
awesome conversation i feel like we got
to know each other
what we are our views of the world
pretty quick pretty fast in that show
and uh and we have a lot of congruent
uh ideas i think my mom was also really
proud of that show
because you know she's very much a
christian and loves jesus and
you know i i kind of like i don't know
maybe it's the mom thing you know but
i'm just like yeah you know let's you
know i'm doing this thing over here mom
you know or whatever but
i mean i gotta say like uh you know i
grew up in the church
and i have a lot of affiliation
connection
to those ideas and the way they are
presented from a very young age
so i still very much identify with all
of that i also try to keep an open mind
and really just like you said in the
podcast so many times is beautiful
judge it by its fruit by its fruit by
its fruit and that's really where it's
at if we're connected
it doesn't really matter what label that
we place on that connection yeah
what matters is the connection itself
yeah yeah and
you know i think the work that i'm doing
and and you
as well just by an example have shown
that
you know that's that's definitely the
core of our message you know and
i posted a thing on my facebook
yesterday
and this was actually my wife's scene
and she was like hey what's that what's
that status that you posted and uh i
want to read it right quick
and um it she didn't know what it was
but it was simply um for the mystic
circle like for all the
creators that i have come on it's kind
of like an agreement
um you know for everyone but it uh
basically
just simply states that i will use my
platform
to help others heal grow and inspire
them to walk in love
oh lord my feet refreshed
help them to walk in love and inspire
them to walk in love i will stay away
from fear-mongering and end-time
scenarios
political debates and affiliations
religious exclusion and mars
marginalization that's a lot that that
excludes a lot to stay away from right
it does but i think that's a really good
focus it keeps people focused on the
things that really matter and our power
is really in our attention you know
consciousness is just a three dollar
word for attention man that's all it is
and so you know the idea of energies and
these collections of thoughts and
systems and all these oppression
and this and that it's only enforced by
our own attention
it couldn't have any power if we would
just simply disengage from it
and uh you know that was a big
realization that i had
a few years ago uh about the idea of
egregors or
pendulums or that has a lot of different
names you know in in
christian uh uh in the christian
tradition we might call it a demon or a
principality or a power of the air right
and that's the idea that there are these
pervasive sort of
elements that we can't see that are
beyond reality you know
for lack of a better way to say it that
are influential factors
ideas uh you know that are really
influencing
society you know like collectivism or
socialism libertarianism even the ones
that we like and
engage with are still you know these
collections of
uh of of of energy that we can if we're
not careful we give our identity over to
and then we can become stripped of our
own individuality if we
you know go too far into a group and i
definitely made that mistake a time or
two well um
you know i want to i want to go deep on
that i mean because
uh let me let me just come back to that
because i want to go i'm going to go
deep into that or just with the question
and what i've heard people say
but again uh just just you know i guess
a brief
introduction we've talked about your
podcast go ahead and uh
introduce yourself what you do because
you you wear many hats
and we're going to talk about a lot but
go ahead and introduce yourself just for
uh just to let people know what you do
and
bring to the table there but then i want
to i want to piggyback off of what you
just said but go ahead okay
great yeah so my name is owen hunts i go
by bootsy greenwood to save a lot of
money on seo
um that's my stripper name um cat i
had and the street i grew up on and in
that way it's real easy for people to
find me owen hunt is also a character on
grey's anatomy
so man they say if you want to bury a
dead body put it on the second page of a
google search
you know so i needed some sort of
distinguishing
uh sort of characteristics so i went
with that name
and i've been learning more and more i'm
just a curious person
i'm a student of the mysteries of the
universe i call myself a blue collar
mystic
because i really just want to bring
these ideas
to people in a palatable easy to
understand way you know i want to
i grew up in west georgia you know
around a lot of
you know folks who are just blue collar
types and
i want to bring these ideas and these
messages to people
in a really understandable simple way
just understanding that our attention
uh really is the power uh i do comedy as
well i do stand up comedy improv
and sketch comedy and you can check all
that stuff out on my website you can
just
type up bootsygreenwood.com and you can
see kind of all the things that i have
going on i collaborate with a lot of
other comedians who don't necessarily
see this the world the same as i do but
i have a really big heart for helping
people i want to see people
i want to see their reality change i
want to see their life change i want to
see
people open up and and have an emotional
uh
connection to the universe and an
experience that is sacred to them truly
help them to help them to find purpose
that's really what my program's all
about is really anchoring into purpose i
see that as the umbilical cord
to infinity or uh or the the uh the true
connection to source that that's where
our
identity is derived from you know
there's a lot of post-modern philosophy
that's like there's no such thing as
identity it's all about how you see
yourself
and the post-modernism just spins a lot
of wheels
um but uh romantically and
idealistically
i do think each and every single one of
us is a particle of god
that is here for a specific purpose and
so we interface with duality and that's
how god knows itself
and uh you know there's a lot of power
in both sides of the atom
um but if it wasn't for the duality that
we experienced we couldn't have this
really cool
you know physical world that we get to
play in and we get to have
you know these kind of conversations and
these kind of experiences
and i think this is all a path that's
leading us back to
the infinite the the all the almighty
yeah i'm with you man i think that
everything is a portal
to experience god to experience eternity
and other realms and all of that
um and and every everything to the
you know sound and vibration and writing
and jot and tittle and
aspect and and trauma and uh every smile
of a child every kiss between lovers
every
homeless person on the side of the road
like everything is an expression of god
and everything is beautiful in in and of
itself where it is because it
because we can see god in it we'll go
deeper into that
uh what you just said just about your
course and stuff and like
it just embodies what you do is just
helping people find their purpose
and i'm just reminded of that quote that
says the two greatest days in an
individual's life
is the day that they were born and then
the day that they find out why they were
born
to find out your purpose man and what
you know what makes your heart beat what
would you do if if if money was not an
issue
uh what do you what and i think another
thing to go back to is what are you
daydreaming about when you're on
the job working for me you know i did a
bunch of jobs i hate it i'm digging
ditches i'm driving trucks
i'm framing houses and i was never there
you know what i'm saying in my mind i'm
i'm either playing video games or
creating or rapping on stages or
making music and stuff so it's like and
i guess that kind of ties in with
religion when they say you know um
religion is a man sitting in church
thinking about fishing but spirituality
is a man fishing
thinking about god you know so fi
finding you this place of bliss to know
that you're in
your purpose and so you got to salute
that whether we're making courses or
music or
podcasts or whatever that just kind of
inspires that
that uh that search you know man that's
beautiful i love both of those metaphors
a lot uh and i i just uh yeah i think
that's very very true and i think
there's a lot of traps too
to our purpose and that's something i
talk a lot about you know and just kind
of going back to that first little uh
intro caveat about attention you know
there's just so much
out here to pay attention to um and some
things look shiny
on the outside and it's it's kind of
seductive you know you're like oh that
looks cool i want to be like that
but do you though you know what i mean
like it takes some time only you can
define your purpose
um but it isn't it isn't a beautiful day
uh when you when you do
identify it uh because like at that
point i
i don't i don't think there's anything
that can really hurt you
you know like once you have that
connection and you're like
i'm grounded i'm rooted in this and you
know we had a conversation about it
with sunil godsey he has a a website
called intuitionology he's done all this
research on human intuition it's
very very interesting i recommend
everybody go check out his work
it's really fascinating there's a couple
ted talks as well and uh
basically he was talking about how your
purpose is going to be
because i my motto is that we have a
purpose
and that is something that is very
sacred and sort of an abstract idea
right so my purpose is to bring people
joy that's my purpose
um you know beyond that i've served many
different functions and i've had a lot
of those jobs man where i'm just like
not even there you know but sunil said
last night that our purpose can change
but not that it will change
but that it will be added too so
on top of me you know uh bringing joy to
people
i'm also a bridge builder and that goes
for information
as well as people so i connect people
and i connect
the dots between information and so you
know i'm learning more and more about
myself through this course
and it's beautiful i've learned a lot
from you know the people who are
participating in the group and the group
itself and that's where like a lot of
energy is you know you can go back to
the old self-help methods which the
carrot and the stick
you know it's like well i lost 10 pounds
so i'm going to eat a cupcake well i
don't see how that helps you know what i
mean and then you've got the stick where
it's like
well i'm going to write the 200 check to
the democratic party or
whoever i don't like if i don't do x y
or z
and that that's that's not motivation
that's just
you know really really basic but when
we're building a group energy
and especially understanding the power
of attention as energy right like the
mystic saying is where attention goes
energy flows
and so focusing on the right things and
putting the right people together in a
group
like it creates this like synergistic
environment that
i don't know i miss the eye every
morning when i wake up it even amidst
this dumpster fire in the background
you know of that that is reality it
doesn't mean
just because all this is going on it
doesn't mean that we can't
continue to thrive and grow and build
our own because it's really about i
think buckminster fuller said
you can't solve a system from within
that system you have to build a new
system so i think what you're doing with
the mystic circle is a great example of
that you know like
hey you know what i'm going to not i'm
not going to contribute to
this news channel or this media or these
ideas over here i'm just going to
i'm just going to go over here i'm going
to work on what i think is important and
what
my purpose is and connect with other
people because i really see us as puzzle
pieces you know these drops of god these
you know these little little chunks that
come into the
world to experience this and and have
fun and enjoy the process but to give
something to and i think there's a lot
of golden uh the skills and abilities
that we have that we
don't even see you know and so the
shadow for instance
is this idea that all the bad stuff
about you
gets buried and repressed into your
subconscious mind but that's
not that's only half the story that's
also the things that you don't see
the skills and abilities that you take
for granted and you don't even realize
that you have them you know you're like
you it's i don't know like i have a
friend lee who's awesome and he's
so good at like finding people and
engaging with them and just such a great
networker and to him that's just him
being himself
which is beautiful so you know like we
take those things for granted
but it's important i think to shine a
light on those and be like oh wow
i do have a bit of a skill or an ability
you know somebody who's funny for
instance it's like
yeah it's real it's effortless for me to
be funny you know like that's not
something that's hard
i don't value it you know versus you
know when somebody says hey you know
it's really cool when you can go into a
room and say some funny stuff and make
people laugh like people really like
that
so yeah a lot to unpack you know but
attention
it's really is really our tool that's
really the thing that we can make the
biggest change with by
shifting our focus and that doesn't mean
ignoring
the problems it just means stepping out
of the system
and stopping to try to fix the problems
from within the paradigm that created
them
yeah um where you find out when people
try to do that they end up getting
changed by that system when they find
out that you know whether it's political
or
religious well i'm going to this church
god told me to go to the church
and and i'm going to change the church
and they're going to revive what's going
to happen and
just because i'm there and it's like
listen you're going to burn out and
you're going to see the bad side of
this thing that that you're trying to
change is going to trying to kill you
you know
when people try to change it from within
it it doesn't work you have like you
said build a new one you know we
understand that it's not right
the whole thing about you know the
two-party system are you right or you
left or are you in the middle
well you can't be in the middle because
there's not enough people in the middle
so you got to choose it's like listen
i'm not i was i told my wife and and my
daughter and just where i stand on that
stuff i'm like listen
i hope that they see like how many
people aren't voting
like like how many people are registered
to vote and how many people that are
eligible to vote
versus how many people actually voted
and so the people who didn't vote should
tell you like man y'all can keep this
[Â __Â ]
we don't want you you know what i'm
saying and uh and and we have to change
it we don't
we're not gonna change it by becoming a
part of it and playing
their game with any system you know what
i'm saying and so
and if there's a flaw in it just build a
better system but
you know we got we have to work together
because we're not we're you know we have
this weird forerunner mentality
you know or even when you know uh
consumerism and money's involved
it makes it a little bit weird too
because so many hang-ups and
and stuff with money and people scared
to make money and stuff even off of
spiritual or religious
ideas that you shouldn't get paid and
very gnostic idea
understanding that a lot of people are
even stuck in uh
when you're charging for services or or
even music or art and all of these weird
things you know so
we kind of have to be the forerunner and
and do this stuff and
and show that it can be done i think
there are people that have done it
but it's usually with the bigger guys us
for and no more
they're not you know looking for new
talent they're not look they've kind of
got their
their ball players you know i mentioned
you know the mystic circle even being
something like a gaia for
independent creators and and and and
that kind of thing and uh
but your guy is not really hiring you
know people who
who's whose production level isn't that
great you know what i'm saying like
they're not they're not looking for your
homie down the street who's like really
good
at what he does but his quality sucks
you know so uh we gotta we gotta build
it man
you know yeah that's what it's about man
i've thought a lot
often about like what if just nobody
voted dude you know like
that would completely dismantle
everything as the way it goes and there
are other ways to trade there are other
solutions right now that are being
implemented yeah you're big into the
blockchain and all that stuff right dude
i'm all about that like that's a big
thing and i'm not very technologically
savvy but i have friends who are helping
me
and so there's one project called
chordal it's a portal with a backwards p
uh chordal q o rtal.org and uh
i talked to the the guy who's kind of
the the head of that
and we had a great conversation you know
idealistically like his values are
really on point you know like the way
that that particular
blockchain runs is that you can't delete
somebody else's content
you can only edit your own and so it's a
really cool network
and that's one of the positive things
about everything that's happened the
catalyst
that has has been 2020 is that a lot of
people really are starting to connect
and come together and build communities
it's it's it's made us have to do it
yeah um but uh but yeah and there's you
know there's a lot
uh there's a lot of other uh projects as
well but i really
do like uh what jason's done uh jason
crowe crowetic is what he goes by
um and so like he's got a discord server
for all that and some tutorial videos on
how to install it and things like that
and
of course they've had people messing
with them and stuff like
stuff like that go on of course right
like the conflicts never ever resolved
but uh it's it's worked out really well
and every time i send a message like
i'll send a message on there
and like hit enter you'd think i'd never
seen a computer before you know i'm like
i'm just giggling you know with
excitement because it's a completely
encrypted end-to-end conversation i can
talk to somebody and my privacy is being
you know valued and respected when i use
that platform so
i've got it on two computers i'm having
some issues on this one
with it but i've got it on two computers
and you know i guess that worst case
scenario it's like
this thing where if i need to get a
message in a bottle i can do it there
you know there's a lot of people on that
network who i
really agree with their values
alphavadex on that platform
they do a lot of really cool work in
health and
you know several other people and the
the vibe of the group right now and
they'll probably be exploding soon but
like the vibe in the group right now is
really
really uh really uh precious honestly
like it really is
um something that is unique and and
people
get it you know it's nice to be
affiliated with people who are on the
same page
yeah that's awesome that that you know
all these alternatives
are popping up but and it's so like you
really have to be invested and study and
and get to the bottom of it that and
bitcoin i mean there's so many other
ways that uh that people are kind of
hosting their own platforms and stuff
like that so
definitely got to build it um one thing
about what you mentioned
a while ago just with you know pursuing
your purpose and and trying to build
this stuff and all of that
and um not just a consumerism but
um the fact that well i guess
what do you call it um uh you know
the commercialization making money and
and capitalism where people are trying
to step out and do this
stuff but then capitalism comes in and
i did a video on affiliate marketing and
how
affiliate marketing has really muddied
up a lot of water
because here you are selling a product
because it has a good payoff like if you
can get somebody to sign up for this
program
the program might suck but they have a
good front end but then when you
download it you become a member it's
clunky it doesn't do everything
you need they didn't tell you all the
other things that you need with it you
buy this program but now you got to get
that that that that
and an email list whatever um and
affiliate marketing is people
that are really good at what they do and
they're trying to sell you something
just to get that front end dollar and
they're promoting these things that suck
and so when we're trying to figure this
stuff out especially on youtube
i'm trying to figure out what's the best
membership platform and you mentioned
kajabi and
i started with kajabi i built on kajabi
kajabi had things i didn't like and then
wordpress and then with clickfunnels and
i remember
following a guy um
he was a phil he's an affiliate marketer
he's pretty good at what he does
and his wife does something very similar
to what i do and he's like the back end
dude that's telling you a lot of
techniques
and he gives you this walk through on
how to make a membership
site with click funnels and he goes from
from
and these videos got you know hundreds
of thousands of views and i'm going
through it and i'm following it
and i'm following i'm doing watching all
the videos and then
you scroll down he's got hundreds of
videos and you find another video
and this is why you should not use click
funnels
i probably just spent two weeks and four
hundred dollars
trying to start a membership program
with click funnels and now you're
reneging
and he's like i'm going to tell you the
truth i'm going to give it to you how it
is i'm not like those other affiliate
marketers i'm going to give it to you
like it is i'm don't care about the
money i make more money but
delete those damn videos those videos
are still getting traction
and he those videos are making him money
because they're performing really well
so he would never delete him even though
he doesn't vouch for click funnels
anymore he's got this
new offer and i'm like i found a lot of
affiliate marketers who just like
they'll put a huge budget in
uh you know capture pages and leads page
just to sell you a product that
that they don't even like or promote it
or even works anymore man
you know it's really hard trying to
figure this stuff out for ourselves and
they always talk about your passion and
turning your passion into your um
profession
you know which is what i try to help
people do and i've done for myself and
i'm trying to continue to do it like you
know
um they don't make it easy have you ran
into any of that stuff and trying to
figure it out and went down this road
and it was a dead end and
that's a dead end i mean i know that's
wisdom and learning and all that kind of
stuff but
there's a lot of dead ends out there
there are and
you know it's just it's a lot of noise
you know there's just so
much noise it's like you gotta gotta
look for the signal
and try to find find a pure signal you
know yeah um
i talk about this stuff a lot because i
i didn't even have my own website
honestly until last year
just because i hate affiliate marketing
and i it's people just
like on top of each other just
and even with the youtube thing a couple
years ago i know a couple of creators
that were just they would put out a
video every single day and it was called
the 360 rule
and that was a great way to use the
algorithm to pump up
you know your channel and you would get
a lot of subscribing they all have huge
subscriber counts now
but dude i was like man i'm not doing
that i just didn't feel right you know
yeah um so i don't really have at the
moment an auto responding
email yeah my open rate's 47 you know
what i'm saying because i do it in real
time
yeah i'm actually just using banzoogle
for my
website and you know sometimes i'll do
like a series i did like a five part
trans surfing series right which is uh
this russian mystic
uh mystical book and just kind of
talking about some tips from that book
and so trying to use it to educate
people and that's what i did really
before the launch of
the coaching program and then this this
course that i have
but i really wanted to give as much as i
could as a result before i ask
you know i want to give you a bunch of
tips and a bunch of good stuff and fill
you so full of value that when it time
comes time and i say hey
you know i'm doing this thing and it
costs x amount of money are you
interested
then you can't wait to write me a check
you know that's the kind of position
that i want to try to put myself in as a
marketer or an independent
creator or whatever it is um there are
other
elements to this too that i think can be
beneficial and useful and
you know i don't want to fight against
the the pendulum of uh
you know autoresponders because i think
that they can be useful too it's just
a matter of taste and i've i've really
run into a lot of conflicts
uh with it but i i go always with how i
feel
right my intuition what my heart is
saying
as far as how i'm going to proceed uh
and
and move forward and as long as i think
that we ground to that
then the noise kind of starts to
dissipate and
you know finding the right tools is
definitely a problem
and people have just saturated the
market with
every single email line that you can
think of to sort of open
and but now but if your name's on it and
people trust you then they'll always
open it
you know like i tell people my open rate
is on emails and they're like well
what and i'm like yeah i want to get it
higher
i'm like it's only 50 you know because
i'm like i'm not
affiliated i'm not going to send
somebody's program via email to like
i don't i'm not trying to push junk mail
yeah i'm not trying to push junk mail
into your box you know what i mean for
like
maybe 20 bucks or whatever it's like a
total waste of time
and so because i've sort of waited to
kind of get into this game
it's really i've learned a lot about it
over the past few years and just read a
lot but it's really put me in a position
to where i can just be like all right
cool i'm going to play
by a different rule i have a different
sort of method
for this and that is that when i send an
email i'm giving
something yeah i'm like that too like
even people like
were telling me like i need to like send
every video upload and every every
podcast like i do two podcasts a week
you know
um he's like yeah people sign up you
know they want to get
you know updates on what you're doing i
was like it's easy to get updated on the
podcast you just
subscribe to the podcasting apps or
youtube or whatever and you're going to
get updated you don't need this
curated email from me saying hey we just
did a podcast check it out like
i feel like those people with the
technology now using your apps or
whatever
you're going to subscribe to where you
go you want to watch the podcast app
whether that is you know a week later
when it's when it's on the
apps which is the majority of people
like
your app is going to remind you usually
you know versus like just trying to
bombard you with
staying in your inbox yeah we're giving
you content we don't stop
like but i feel like you know there's a
difference but like you said just like
using the email list for for special
you know special occasions but the
experts would disagree with us you know
hey that's fine you know they've got
their thing and i remember a few years
ago
studying the stuff they're like the more
you tell the more you sell and so
like i've written longer emails i've
written shorter emails
and you know for me it's not about
market research i don't really get off
on that that's not for me like i i don't
care
you know i what i care about is the
message the content itself
um and so that's why i'm just gonna you
know i'm not trying to fight again
against the way things are but um
i think it's important to just do it
your own way
you know like that's what makes you you
truth seeker you know what i mean that's
why people
like you you and what you're putting out
your content is because you're putting
your purpose you know your individual
style your swagger into it and so i
think when we
run a marketing funnel or whatever the
hell it's called right
then we need to do that our own way too
and the more that we can do that
and identify that as ours and connect it
to us the more people are just going to
resonate with that because they already
resonate with us
so what are the ways that we can try and
do that you know
um it's uh it's it's a lot it's a lot to
wrap your head around and yeah the
experts
and maybe they are right you know and
that's that's the the best way
for these bigger companies to to do what
they've got to do
you know a lot of them will take like a
voodoo doll basically and
of your avatar you know it just sickens
me personally i'm like gross
i have yeah i have an avatar i have
people
that are very different like in in my
group you know
i know right there's a common there's a
common thread you know what i'm saying
but like raggedy ann
ain't ain't the thread you know it's
it's like you know i have people who are
middle-aged i have people who are
younger i have people who are older
and we're all looking for the same thing
that's to connect to ground
to grow closer to god and to work
together
in a way that's harmonious and uplifting
and fun
and funny and all that that's that's
what
that's my branding right
well we we uh we've been talking about
you know how to build platforms and b
and essentially build communities you
know i do think it's important
i don't have a lot of people to talk to
about this that's why we're talking
talking to you i
you know have questions and what's
working and you know i think that if we
share what's working
we can we can progress a lot faster hey
man stay away from this program stay
away from this app
platform uh you know they're gonna it's
gonna change up on you quick or whatever
but
you know rolling those ideas off of to
create community
because you know i i did hear a quote
recently and i really like this quote
and it's kind of
been my mantra without even knowing it
but they come for the content
but they stay for the community like
they come because of the podcast but
then they find out that there's
like-minded people
and we have a thriving community of
people just like you
who want to hang out who want to connect
and so the community that is built
around
a niche and our niche being spirituality
christ consciousness mysticism and a
little bit and everything in between
like you said just people who love god
and want to want to know go deeper into
what that is um so that's what we do
and we're talking about it how did you
get into that again you said you you
know kind of come from a christian home
but where does the spirituality come
into your
your christian life or you know not so
much wherever you are now how
you know because christianity and
spirituality are two different things
you got carnal christians and then you
got
you know spiritual people who have no
religion but
there's a lot more people like me and
you than i think are are
in the church right now that that that
paradigm is fading away it really is and
so they need people to talk to
but for you how did you get there to
ask the bigger questions you're into a
lot of different stuff
breath work the paranormal supernatural
you know psychedelics whatever it is man
how did you get there
bone crushing depression
[Laughter]
no i mean a lot of a lot of asking
questions a lot of uncertainty
a lot of just not knowing and asking and
asking and seeking
you know that's why i'm doing the course
on purpose because that's what i had the
most
pain points around i was like i got to
know what i'm here for
and i probably was a little bit um you
know manic about it because
like i just had to know and it was so
important and i made it even more
important which
come to find out the more important you
make something the harder it is
to you know to do it but you know in the
christian church i was
when i first really started to establish
my relationship with jesus in the
christian church
it was it was a really a beautiful thing
i felt like i had an
imaginary friend and uh you know we're
in the pentecostal church so
praying in tongues and and like people
doing you know eight hours in the prayer
closet
and you know upping each other and and
healing and
tent revivals and stuff like that but
ultimately um
my pastor hit on my mom so i set him up
for on a prank show
uh but that's another story but um you
know things kind of went bad we set them
up for what
on a prank show oh wow that's
yeah that's we'll we'll explore that
another time but
but um but basically um he definitely
deserved it
but basically you know things just got
bitter with the church and burned out
like you were talking about before
and then i kind of went on my own path
and i went to college and
you know i met friends there and just
wanted to party and explore all these
other things
uh as well but i was always just curious
you know what am i here for what am i
trying to do i tried riding and i tried
so many different sort of avenues uh
as to what i was supposed to be doing uh
and ultimately
i got down a wormhole or a rabbit hole
of conspiracy stuff
a few years ago 2011 maybe and that just
basically wrecked me emotionally like i
was in pieces just because the world
was not what i thought it was when i
came out of school
i probably could have been an sjw you
know i could have
you know been one of those types of
people that's
basically how i was trained at the
university and when i got out of school
i realized oh my god you know it was a
couple years after
like this everything i learned is not
the way that it actually works
and then i went down the youtube alex
jones you know all that kind of stuff
and
dismantled my ray i mean i took a sl
took a sledgehammer
to my paradigm and uh and at that point
i was
really really bummed out and depressed
so i had to reach for something so i
started looking into other spiritual
ideas buddhism
you know hinduism whatever i could find
uh and self-help
and then i got more and more into the
self-help stuff and i found a book
called reality tran surfing that's uh
written by a russian mystic named vadim
zeeland and that one to me
really started to put the pieces
together then i read like
a rand's atlas shrugged and then i would
read a book like the caballon and be
like man these two ideas
need to be connected yeah it's like a
hermetic objectivism
or something like that where it's like
you've got all this you know
woo-woo stuff but you've also got the
interface of reality we got to balance
we got to
ground ourselves and connect these two
pieces because we're right brain
and left brain and so i started to do
that and i started to really
see how the things worked together you
know aristotelian logic
and you know like uh healing you know at
the same time
both of those things are true and
understand that duality and polarization
something we're always dealing with and
so nobody really understands what
reality is you can't explain it to me no
one can
even though we can build earthquake
bridges or
earthquake proof bridges and fly on
planes and do all these amazing things
you still can't tell me what reality is
so everything is basically a model and
so what i've
been doing is really trying to connect
ideas
between the sort of ethereal and the the
logical grounded and really try to
bring those together because you can
it's it's not either or
it's both and yeah it's all of it right
um coexisting it's interesting you you
you kind of give those examples i kind
of do that with
let's say the cabalion mysticism and the
bible
i mean that's then those are the two you
know my two big books if you will and
kind of uh you know seeing the
similarities there
that other people can't see you know and
painting them there and then
but then again with those those are even
two you know mystical paths or faiths
and ideas but you got to have the
practical side too
so you know how does that come with
day-to-day life
versus the pentecostal you know that's a
hard deal with the pentecostal i mean
they kind of do that a little bit too
with christianity
and the supernatural or let's say a form
of new age if you will just
because they're very much heavy on on on
the spiritual aspect of their faith
which is good i love it
uh but they you know a lot of people
don't know how to live a lot of people
don't know how to get a job
keep a job uh start a business you know
what i'm saying there's a lot of
that's lacking versus like even your
passion and how to pursue that as a
believer or if you should i mean
a gnostic idea that your passion is
demonic and you have to give that
passion up
to god and that's your reasonable
service unto the lord is to
be a suffering servant so there's all
these clashing
ideas when it comes to spirituality and
purpose and how do we walk in them and
so
for me i i look at you know the cabalion
and stuff like that
and and hermetic principles and i see
him in the bible
like i see a lot of that universal law
in the bible in these these truths that
ring
uh from genesis to revelation and then
it's almost
like maybe one of them stole it from
from the other and a lot of people
believe that you can go down that road
that road as well um but you find these
truths that that ring true no matter
where you are with religion you're a
part of and you the system works if you
work it kind of deal you know
yeah i think everybody's trying to say
the same thing you know it's again it's
like
what spirituality has become is a bunch
of affiliate marketers
you know what i mean trying to yell over
each other right like
everybody's saying the same thing you
can read the the bhagavad gita or
reality tran surfing or the bible and
you know but the idea that ideas
themselves
or whatever spirit embodies that sort of
idea
that's the stuff that's run in the show
you know it's not some dude
wearing a cape with a wand i mean i'm
i'm sure there are plenty of people
rocking caves get kinky i'm not judging
but like
there are all these like energetic
informational structures
that's what's really ruling the roost
nobody's standing over you like
making you do stuff and so when i got
into the conspiracy thing that's kind of
what i
envisioned where it's like oh my god you
know it's like so they have so much
control
no the control comes from the energetic
information structure that's created
that we focus our attention on and any
group is going to have that so
it's important to kind of keep in mind
how we manage it you know there are
spells that we could
conjure up these deities but i think in
infinity
with the all everything already exists
so whatever it is that we focus
on that makes it real now it's real now
because of our attention and if we
were to disengage from it and not pay
attention to it anymore
it's basically not real at that point or
the way that we define reality
yeah so that's a really important thing
to to think about like just disengaging
from the systems that don't serve us
and then engaging with the ones that do
and really truly like
those energetic information structures
they should serve us
it's like all right so truth seeker
you've got this this this and this
you've got your music you've got your
platform you've got
you know your podcast these types of
things those should all be
coming up to the head of the octopus
which is you and serving you
but instead a lot of us in society we're
basically at the the
whims of the tentacles of the ideas that
are pervasive in society and here we are
just like uh
you know just like walking right into it
and the trick here
is that positive or negative attention
is equally as powerful so if you hate
and you fight against something
you are you are absolutely supporting
that
system whether you like it or not you
clearly don't it's like
satanism right you know we are a
response to christianity so therefore
you
you're you're still validating the thing
that you're against you know
exactly exactly and the more we fight
against it the more we're really
just uh giving it more attention where
attention goes energy flows
and so more energy and more power as a
result of it
so we should be stingy with our
attention you know and not be open in
these
emails you know what i'm saying like um
because they're they're everywhere you
know
yeah yeah um your mind's powerful man
and
you know the bible talks a lot about
renewing the mind and being focused and
being single-minded if thy i'd be single
thy whole body shall be
full of light and the double-minded man
is unstable in all of his ways and
essentially that is you know a lot of
things
biting for your attention and and
consumerism
and they have when we're talking about
witches and warlocks and the man with
the cape
these these people are behind the media
and
advertising and jingles that get stuck
in your head
um the beautiful thing is we can kind of
learn a lot of those concepts and try to
use them for the good
you know even though there's destructive
evil music that gets stuck in your head
listen i'm gonna try to create
beautiful uplifting music that gets
stuck in your head
um you know what i'm saying and just to
to retrain your brain in the way that
you think and so
there's a lot of the odds are stacked
against you and you don't even know it
you know as far as knowing your reality
and what this is and
even you you said what reality is one
thing's
sure about it is it's changing whatever
it is it's changing and it's getting
more and more of our mind and and a
piece of our dna and knowing what to
you know serve us ads and serve us the
things that we're into
you know and uh and the algorithms know
us better than our parents you know
they know what what videos we're gonna
click on and which ones we're
not um and they know what this to show
you and so
interesting thing is that we can play
with the algorithms too whether it's
with ad
you know using ads i mean when it sucks
until we need it
you know and how much control that
facebook and google and all these
companies have
and people are it's scary it really is
but i think it's neat too though
at the same time the fact that listen i
don't want to see
ads about tampon commercials or diapers
i don't need to see that
i do need to see ads about how to
install these new plugins
to make my membership site more uh
user-friendly
and it knows that and guess what i'm
seeing everywhere those ads for those
plugins
because i searched it because i said it
you know because they know i'm
spending hours building this stuff and
they're going to serve those ads to me
and try to get my dollar um i think
that's interesting
that advertisers can kind of key in
on who they want to serve um and people
complain
but it's stuff that we you know freely
search
again i would rather i mean that just
think in the future there could be
billboards that show us like shows
everybody something different
even going down the highway you look at
the billboard and it shows me a
a new app that that's available and for
somebody else it does show it
diapers you know and that's kind of how
it is it's curated to
us you know there's a there's a
and we can't run from it we can't fight
it we're going we're going in baby
but we have to we have to keep our head
in the sky but keep our feet
on the earth as well and ground and stay
close to nature and spirituality
what are your thoughts on on those too
yeah i think everything is coming things
you know yeah
oh man well everything is a tool
it just depends on how you use it as far
as um
as far as those things go we do you know
there's no sense in fighting against it
right
um try to use it for a better purpose uh
if possible if it's gonna be there if
it's pervasive it's like you know
we drive cars i'm not gonna boycott
gasoline
you know i'm not gonna be able to get
home to see my girlfriend or whatever
right like it's
that doesn't make any sense uh you know
shoes are a thing even though i
like think grounding exercises are great
i'm still gonna put rubber on my feet
you know what i mean wear a suit
when i go to a fancy dinner
um but uh but again i think that
everything is a tool
as far as like uh transhumanism and that
kind of stuff i'm very
much against it just makes me feel icky
on the inside
i'm not a fan of like interfacing my
human body with technology to me that's
something that's very sacred
um but i but i don't also
have a problem with somebody else they
want to do that you know if they want
i don't like vr i'm not going to put on
a vr headset i love it
it's yeah it's just it's just not not
for me i've never been a gamer though
yeah like i just it's just it's not for
me so
um so you know it just kind of depends
everybody's
got their own thing and like you said i
think it is cool too that like
you know you see a billboard for an ad
for a new you know a new app and then
you know i see
you know a billboard for an ad for like
an outdoor hiking retreat or something i
don't know
right i think that is cool that is a
valuable tool we can use that to
to find and connect with the people that
we want to be connecting with
so there's no reason not to use those
tools um
and everything's really neutral it's
just a matter of how we
decide to use it so like i don't think
vr is bad
you know what i mean but like and i
don't even think you know
interfacing your body with a computer is
bad it's just not
for me you know that's that's just how i
personally feel about it like i would
rather
like i don't know i've got these
romantic ideas though you know what i
mean which may or may not be true
maybe they're true for me and not for
somebody else but like you know
nature and those types of things uh
really valuable
uh to me and i think for a lot of people
but that doesn't mean we can't enjoy all
the rest of it too and the
the the the digital pixels and the
you know video games and the movies and
all that kind of stuff
they're all just neutral tools it's like
i can use a hammer to build a house
or i can use a hammer to hurt someone
yeah it's just a matter of how
am i going to use that hammer there's
this weird
notion um that we're because
like we're behind on the times and we
think that it's been this way for a long
time
obviously if we look back over our lives
we can see how technology has changed
but we feel like even even with our
lives like when we were kids and what
was our
normal um and then when that normal
began to change we
you know we felt we felt the change
we're going through it right now
you know as a society as the world is
going through a change
um those changes have have been
happening
uh slightly from the beginning of time
to where we are now
um and i i find it i find the disconnect
interesting to like people would you
know whether they complain about
technology and stuff
and say and say that they don't want it
to to go
further or want it to be invasive but
then they
uh they don't know
or take responsibility for for how much
for how powerful it is now and how much
we rely on it how much that when you
walk out the door without your phone
that your heart skips a beat
oh lord what happens if i break down
what if i break down like who's gonna
who's gonna come so you have to have
your phone you know and so how
connected we already are to use skype
and zoom and
and uh reach people all over the world
with the use of technology and using it
for our benefits and that's just
technology
um i look at that as well with the
church
um and how people are like you know we
want to we want to keep
traditional values and we want to i i
even have a
like a model of what a family the family
unit looks like and it comes from the
50s of
dad is out working and mom is a home
keeper that mom doesn't even need a job
like mom should
be home taking care of the kids and
making sure you know dad's food's ready
and
but now mom and dad both have to have
two jobs
and they still can barely pay pay the
bills and and now they're both
stressed and the house is dirty and no
time for the kids and you know all of
this the family structure and how things
are changing
um just looking for consistency
and of what what is normal is that
normal i don't i don't know
that i know that's something that that
was sold to us of what
you know uh values look like and what
what the family structure
looked like and when it goes back to
religion and church and we see all of
these things that are changing over the
years
so we you know when religion comes into
play we look at
christianity of today and think that
it's been that way forever like that
like this is how christianity is that's
where it came from oh well we know there
were some things that changed
a lot has changed and like stuff that
flies now would have never flown back
then and
and we find ways to change the meanings
or
we don't put ourselves in their their
shoes of like the time and the people
and and even when we try to do it i
think we do it a disservice
but you know to
things are changing they've always been
changing we're all we've been evolving
where we're headed where we're going i
think we're getting
closer or the time is speeding up and it
scares people and it scared the early
church and it scares christians now
to know that you can't turn away a gay
member or if you're gay a gay guy wants
to be in a be a choir director you can't
turn them away or
you know if someone if if a gay person
wants you to bake them a cake and
and you're you don't believe in that you
you're going to get sued if you don't
you know there are things are changing
that it always it wasn't always like
that and um
and p you know i guess it's up for
debate if it's good or bad you know
yeah well you you said you nailed it
like reality is ch is change
it's changing constant motion right the
universe is expanding and it's never
going to stop
you know stagnation is death so you know
i'm all for the change i guess i should
maybe clarify that statement with
i don't really trust the people who are
purveying this type of technology
i should say that not that the
technology itself is bad or
makes me feel it just freaks me out that
you know people
would sign up so quickly i was a rap
guide for years and so i had a flip
phone you know
still in like 2013 or something you know
and i come home and everybody would just
be on their phones and i was
disconnected from that i didn't
understand that like as a cultural thing
because i was just in the woods all the
time and you can't be on a boat
you know and on your phone at the same
time so you know coming back into that
and then i had to learn this whole world
and i've worked in production tv
production for
the past few years and um you know being
in that you really need to be up on the
technology game it's part of the
whole thing being able to communicate
with people get them to set and
you know organize things and use these
interfaces like discord is
awesome like slack i remember when i
first saw slack i was like this is
amazing i can organize the three i don't
have to read 90 email chain
you know like to like it's in the email
like if i heard that one more time bro
you know like i know it's in the email
but it's buried
underneath 43 other emails you know i
remember
how useful as a tool you know that is
and
you know i just i think caution is
really important it's important to have
caution and understand
people's hesitancy because i feel it too
you know it kind of depends
where are these ideas coming from who is
purveying them and
you know the people who are putting this
type of technology out there
do they have good intentions what are
the implications these are just
questions that we should all be
thinking about and asking before we just
jump right in
to whatever the next thing is and that's
that is the scary thing
you know i've asked a lot of people i'm
we may have talked about this on your
show but
um do you you know do you think
or do you hope that the the two the two
big guys
um are you know philanthropists and
really
humanitarians um bill gates and
elon musk you know that's the thing and
there's a lot of christians a lot of
people who think that these guys
i mean there's people who think that you
uh these guys are the antichrist of of
the book of revelation and they're
coming to make you take the chip and the
market of beasts and
crazy end time scenarios that i vowed to
stay away from at the beginning of the
podcast
but what do you think who uh so i want
your opinion you know
what what do you think about those guys
you know well
going back to judge them by their fruit
do philanthropists
double their income in a pandemic or do
they give their money away
you know do they go to um different
countries and
give them access to the internet and
technology
and food and water or do they
stab vaccines into their arms you know
what i'm seeing
so i don't know i mean everybody can
decide for themselves i
um i don't really trust a billionaire i
don't think anybody needs a billion
dollars like i'm not a socialist by any
stretch of the imagination but if you
got a billion dollars i don't think i
think you did something
unscrupulous bro i'll be real honest you
know like
and and i also say that they wouldn't
call them influencers
if they were telling us the truth you
know jesus wasn't an influencer gandhi
wasn't an influencer
you know they they were influential but
they weren't in real time called
influencers like they were heretics
while they were alive so you know well
it's interesting though because
because i think the majority of the
populists at least
i don't know if it's the majority maybe
it's just what my algorithms are
curating to me
to to construct my reality is everybody
that i've
you they all hate these people so it's
not like the
like they're they are beloved of the
people like at least in my and i'm sure
in some on somebody else's timeline they
see all the pro guys i don't know
but i i do rep i do recognize that that
uh
you know if facebook doesn't let me see
everyone's post and only shows me
it it has created an echo chamber for
all of us
and you don't even know it and i
recognize that um
so i don't know but from my perspective
these guys are hated you know but i
don't know if that's
you know across the board i don't know
that i don't i don't either you know i
have a lot of friends who are you know
there's a lot of people getting a
vaccine
but they're not on my my friends list
but there's a lot of people
getting it you know right right yeah and
i have a lot of friends who like i said
you know i work with people in comedy we
do not have the same views about things
i love that actually
because it makes everything that we do
funnier because they have this take and
this joke that maybe i don't get
and then i have another take that maybe
they don't get and we combine those and
then it turns out to be a lot of fun
and i'm all for people
having the freedom to choose and the
sovereignty to create their own reality
i'm
100 000 for individual freedom human
freedom
um but yeah i have a lot of friends who
you know like i guess
i guess the sort of thing about it is
they it's a stigma right like
and if you create this stigma around it
like oh the globalist cocktail
i've heard like and you dismiss it that
way then it becomes this joke
and from for a lot of people i think
they view it that way where it's like
hahaha like if you listen to mpr which i
consider to be
the asmr for brainwashing um
then you will hear these takes about
these great heroes who are these
philanthropists
but i don't see the philanthropy that
these folks are doing personally
so i have a lot of questions about their
motives
you know especially in buying up
farmland and using monsanto
uh you know as a as a company to
to harvest and use and distribute food
um so to me you know i don't really
trust that but at the same time um
we'll just have to kind of see how
things play out you know
i'm all for like really disengaging from
those narratives and really building our
own
communities i just don't see any other
uh
solution because fighting against it and
you know jumping right into it they're
both going to do the same thing
our attention really is it's so
so valuable that's why all these
internet marketers are trying to get it
you know
like that's the thing if i can just get
your attention and maybe you'll come
down here
spend a few bucks or or what have you
you know
yeah i've um you know i think with with
the money thing and as far as doing good
like there's you can you can do good
with with no money
but it's on on a very s much smaller
level
i mean i've kind of seen that with like
been we've been receiving donations to
go out and do these videos where we're
just
giving people money and making
somebody's day and it's been awesome
and i don't have that kind of money that
i can go out and do it but there's
people who do
um and maybe they write it off in taxes
for a youtube video hopefully you know
they
make it back but um so i i did that you
know we did a homeless video where we
gave it found a random
random homeless dude and took him out to
eat bought him anything he wanted at
walmart hey man whatever you want dude
buy it bro it's your lucky day you know
and take them out to eat and
you know gave him money got put him in a
hotel you know and so like i don't i
don't make that kind of money to
to do that you know but and i'm
wondering on if on a bigger level
even with those donations i got you know
we raised a thousand dollars to do that
another time we gave this a waitress
four
four five hundred dollars and we've done
it two or three
times already and people are still like
donating it because they want to see
more of those videos but it's like
if i didn't ask for that money or didn't
have it i couldn't have done it
so that's just what a thousand what if
you had you know a hundred thousand
dollars to do something that you can put
behind a project and fund
uh stuff where you're actually making a
huge difference not that you're going to
buy just giving
you know homeless people a thousand
dollars you know most of them are just
going to piss it away anyway
but if you're using it for bigger causes
for whether it's vaccines if they're
using this for something good and
and seeing what they've i've seen the
thing where they were trying to do uh
uh put bring toilets to africa and these
certain toilets and running water and
all of that stuff where bill gates is
like
paying out his money to like do these
projects and try
and trying to give them running water
and give them you know toilets and
and sewage and stuff like that and it
was very interesting
i see that after we see this stuff about
the uh
you know the vaccines you know coming
out i guess it would change
yeah it would change my look outlook on
it if it and i'm not for it but
if if it's mandatory yeah this thing
reaches something where it's mandatory
or
you see a lot of fake fear porn stuff
like you're not going to be able to go
to concerts unless you're getting
vaccine and they're going to make sure
that you have your
your vaccination you know or you're not
going to be able to buy a ticket master
ticket and
go see bands and go to school or go to
you know buy eat you know buy seller
trade and everything's relative
you know even with that it's scary it
sounds biblical proportions but
the same conversation was had over the
um uh
social security card they freaked out
like literally i had i did a show with a
friend of mine
this dude his whole family they were
they were born at home
because the parents were in time they
were in end time scenarios and
they thought that the social id the
social security card
was the mark of the beast so much so
that
they've never been to the doctor i'm
talking about these
they're in their 20s bro and they've
never been to the hospital
when they get us when they get sick and
running fevers they pray in fast
they don't even believe in medicine you
know um
just you know it's relative like what
this
is and for those people who are freaking
out there's literally people freaking
out you know with all that stuff going
on so
real real interesting you know with with
all of it and i can't i don't know
either way
you know what i'm saying right and
honestly none of us do
no nobody knows like we can't even we
can't even define reality man
but but yeah i mean you know with the
vaccine thing that's something that i
think
like let's let's test it for a few years
and make sure that it works just not on
me
right right exactly yeah on like a rat
or something right like they're supposed
to have
i think you know quite a bit of time
to to with these things i feel like it's
just been a big rush and
um and that's what scares me um and the
censorship
kind of like makes me uneasy yeah as
well yeah anybody who scrutinizes what's
going on it gives an
alternate scenario they'll pull your
card
you know and we're talking about people
with credentials too they're just given
in a different scenario with for what
they think
yeah we have the tools to make our own
decisions you know i think we've skipped
over critical thinking a lot in
the american schooling system but we
still have intuition nobody can take
that away
um so i mean that's that's first and
foremost you know and so i i think it's
up to every individual
to choose for themselves how they want
to interact and move forward
um you know find like-minded people and
try to stay calm remember you know life
is a cosmic joke it's supposed to be fun
we're here to enjoy this
this experience it's something that i
think the angels are jealous of so
i think we need to cherish that um
you're big into comedy and uh i i made i
left a uh comment on your post the other
day
and uh i don't know i just made the um
resemblance to tom segura
um i got that i got the perfect picture
you'll have to go and uh and see this on
on the internet when i pull it up
but this is going to be a side by side
of you
okay tom segura for everybody who
doesn't know with tom sigour
dude it is the resemblance is
is there yeah oh i get it all the time
tom cigar yeah so uh comedy we're
talking about these deep
harsh things that it's easy to to get
scared over
um to uh you know politicize and stuff
but
what does where does comedy fit into
making
fun of uh you know these scary topics or
even religious topics that people hold
dear to their heart
um should we do it should should you
know should we respect it
are there things off limits certainly
some people think but what does comedy
come into all of this with all of these
deep topics that we're bringing to the
table
that's an awesome question um well i
think it's really a valuable tool
just for awareness if nothing else you
know one thing i've learned about comedy
is that
if you go out and you have like a hard
opinion about something then people
usually don't
like that but if you like bring up
what's going on
you know in a way that's fun just and
acknowledge it
then you get a big laugh no matter how
people um
feel about it right like letting people
still have their own
opinions and ideas about what's going on
i think is an important element
to comedy you know i can talk about the
absurdities and
when this happened when that happened
and bring that stuff up
but as soon as i get on like a soapbox
you know like
i mean bill hicks could do it but uh
maybe george carlin could do it
but um but me personally um i think it's
really
a such a valuable tool and it also
dispels energy
right like so laughter dispels energy
and it also lights up all four
parts of the brain all at once so those
moments laughter is precious to me you
know
it's like really uh it really
kind of breaks up the monotony of of of
life and the seriousness
of of being here and when we have
the opportunity and the ability to to
clown on stuff and make fun of it like
it
definitely lessens its power over us
right like anything
you can joke about i don't think
anything is sacred uh to the point that
you can't joke about it anything that
you can joke about it doesn't have
power over him anymore and it's a great
way to see that
you have basically mastered the ability
to interact with whatever that thing is
what about islam yeah i mean that's kind
of the one thing
you know that's off off limits my first
stand-up set
i went after muhammad and it was an
indian host and he was like oh it's my
favorite christian comedian
you know and he just like ripped on me
afterwards but i mean
i don't know i compared jesus and
muhammad and gandhi uh
in my first stand-up uh routine ever
and i just went for the sacred cow
in any way you know i'm really
influenced by bill hicks and george
carlin
yeah as a lot of people are but um but
yeah i don't think there's
anything that you can't joke about i
know that you know on the mainstream tv
there are threats like south park
wouldn't wasn't able to show
you know the face of muhammad yeah which
you know it was probably mystery there
was a cartoon where like
i guess they tried to kill somebody or
something that did a cartoon or comic
strip or something about muhammad or
yeah yeah i mean it's not something that
i'm going to rush out and start making
sketches about to be honest well it's
not it's kind of like
it's obviously the job of the comedian
to like the one thing that you tell us
we can't do
is the one thing that we we have to do
you know every time
yeah yeah every time yeah and there's a
way to do it where you do it about the
fact that you can't do it
right so you can make a whole bit or a
whole sketch on not being able to do it
and just get ever so close and that's a
fun
little game you know improv comedy is
all about games it's all about an
interaction
and like a riff between two people in
the scene
you know whereas like stand up is
definitely a lot different
um there's not a whole lot of stand up
going on now but i tend to
enjoy sketch and improv more than stand
up comedy
although i do respect and love the art
form of stand up but it's just a little
bit
i don't i don't know maybe i shouldn't
demystify it but it's just a little bit
contrived
you know like when you go up there and
you tell these jokes like these guys
have been telling these jokes for
a year you know before you ever you know
it's
i thought when i first got into comedy i
was like oh
[Â __Â ] i could never do this these guys
are so funny look at george carlin just
going up on stage and just launching
into a tirade no no dude he was
rehearsing that in the mirror
and you know like every gesture is
rehearsed
and practiced and like an evangelist ex
yeah there's a difference in the pastor
the pastor has to have that that new
saying every every sunday you know
but the evangelist he would come and do
his bit
you know and he'd go to you know seven
churches that week
and do the same bit you know and you
wouldn't know that until you
maybe heard them at another church or
watched a conference that he did that
was the same message that
that you just heard so it was very
similar to this the stand-up comedian
that
goes into his bit you know it was
routine yeah yeah it's a routine it's an
act you know and so that's the thing
about it
and that's why i think that they people
can get away with it too you know it's
like i can
use this character bootsy greenwood for
instance if i need to
uh as a hey so that's a parody um you
know
that's a good that's a good little card
to have in in your pocket just in case
you know it's all about that did we did
we talk we talked about the personas and
and me doing my uh
my character and stuff on your show
didn't we i don't think so
go into i have a character that i can do
that uh
um allows me to to i didn't send you my
video
my uh persona video oh yeah yeah yeah
the masks
yeah dude that was an awesome awesome
video yeah that's
so powerful because i really like the
distinction you made in that videos
uh because you're talking about the
difference between channeling and just
basically being an
inspired state yeah you know like that's
a huge
distinction you know so many people are
talking about ch
it's channeled as channeled well i mean
instantly
instant validation right right it's so
hot right now to channel stuff you know
yeah um but dude yeah that video was
awesome i love that
with a bunch of folks yeah well just
going back into that with you know the
characters and stuff that you do that
you can say
things and get away with it you know
what even if it is a
obviously it's a little bit you know
the character is a scapegoat right but
there's a there's less
matter of fact that's like this is truth
or something right this is just an
opinion of a character we created that
gets to say stuff that i didn't say
and i and you can't blame me you got to
blame the character um
but the channel you know the channel
that's you know there's there's no
repercussions there because
you know how are you going to talk to
lord zedd and and and
uh you know zeta reticuli and take it up
with him damn it
you know jesus you got to take it up
with jesus or take it up with god
listen god hates gay people i don't i
love gay people
it's just god hates them you know it's
like damn
yeah i think there's like a couple
hucksters out there i've been thinking
about doing a parody of some of the
channeling
be careful i heard one guy you can get
in trouble oh really
one of the big guys uh like even saying
his name mentioning him he'll go after
channels um
um you probably know his name i just
can't think of it right off but
oh i'm sure i think i know who you're
talking about he was in my video
if you watch that video he's starting
the channel
and he's going into it and the little
guy that's interviewing him he's just
really new age guy too but you can
barely see him off camera
but he's going in he goes like that
and the guy next to him just jumps back
you can barely see it but that dude
scares the hell out of him when he goes
into
i thought about doing that like doing
this bit where i do
like true sega live channeling like i'm
going to channel live
and listen i believe in all that i
believe that there's certain things in
your mind that you can unlock that
allows you to take on that persona and
maybe
let it even take over you and i i used
to do it playing basketball it would
change the way that i would play
i would get in my mind who i was going
to play like for that day
and and i would i would try to copy
their moves and and the way that they
play
at least my idea of how they played in
the nba dennis rodman's a rebounder i'm
going to post up and i'm going to jump
over i'm getting every rebound this game
i'm dennis rodman tim hardaway listen
i'm going to shake you up and i'm going
to the hoop with a reverse layup just
like tim hardaway
you know and i would like play in that
because i would take it on
same way with with channeling but i had
this bit that i wanted to do
everybody was like no don't do it man
don't do it because i guess they were
just scared of channeling or something
but
um it's me on camera true secret
channeling and i just
i channel whatever spirit wants to come
through i'm open and i just go into my
my uh my southern uh preacher bit
let it come out doing it
how you doing praise god how's everybody
doing out there
i want to tell you one thing god is not
mocked today
hey how you doing bashar bashar is a
deceiver
he's not of god you know i got that
listen i can dude i've
got some funny prank calls and some
funny bits that we've done
obviously my face throws it off with me
being on camera
but i would do it and hide my face and
people thought that this was just
a real person and we would troll the
hell out of people man
messing with people that's some funny
stuff but again you go into
a character that has his own background
like the character i made up he has a
background he's got a wife and kids and
he's really you know i don't know it's
so weird you know and
and i'm sure that person exists and
maybe i am channeling that character
that i
made up you know just get get weird with
it
yeah well i mean to access this stuff at
will yeah
absolutely well i mean it's infinity man
like the storage space is
infinite so that character that you just
made up
was it already existed right like in the
in the quantum model
you know you're just you know tapping
into that idea as a
as an archetype and then bringing it
into this version or dream within a
dream of reality you know
and so with comedy like i love to clown
on stuff that i believe in
that's actually one of my favorite
things i have breathwork sketch it's
probably my favorite one that we've done
um you know and i love breath work like
i'm doing it every day now and really
had some amazing breakthroughs doing the
wim hof stuff
um it's awesome but like but the
breathwork sketch that we did was
probably my favorite one
because like i i feel like i just have
to kill my own sacred cow
over and over and over again and that's
part of the process of growth and
yeah spiritual development because i'm
sure at least with the religious idea
i mean we've all come from a place of
where you can't laugh at it you can't
scrutinize it and
it isn't until you unpack all of that
stuff and laugh at it
till you know like what you really
believe and what you really hold dear
because you're able to laugh at it and
you're able to let other people
ridicule it and and you not get offended
you know versus like i move with a
righteous anger man you don't talk about
my god
i mean that's the islam thing you know
but um
like hey that's okay you don't know him
you haven't seen what i saw you haven't
been where i've been you haven't been
you know here so that's cool you don't
you don't you
i don't expect you to have a reverence
for something you don't understand
um you know that is that comes with time
i think but unpacking your
your experiences and and deconstructing
and holding on to what you really
believe in
for sure being able to laugh at it you
have to because it can get really
stressful it can get really weird fast
all of it especially when people laugh
at new age stuff and
you guys are talking about channel man
you believe that that a whale
swallowed somebody whole and ate them
for three days they didn't spit them out
on shore with a story to tell
get out of here you talking about people
believing weird stuff
you don't get your ass out
bro it happened you believe god has sex
with a woman and
and and put a baby in there without
having sex and
whatever nah man consent too it happened
dude
yeah it happened man listen bro
but yeah exactly exactly even with that
like i believe a lot of that stuff but
you got to be able to make fun of it you
know you got to be able to do that you
do
i guess well god can take it man you
know
yeah you're gonna hurt god you're gonna
hurt jesus you know i mean he's
uh he he's gonna be all right he's lived
through like the worst
punishment shall not mock take the name
of the lord god in vain or mock god
the same with muhammad you know it's
like dude i mean if that's a powerful
god then why why why do you care what i
think
about you know about this concept like
it shouldn't
shouldn't matter and again that's a
group gets getting out of control
because of an energetic information
structure somebody said in the chat like
ever
heard of tulpas uh yeah lemuria yeah
like that's that's exactly what
i i talk a lot about um pendulums is the
way that
vadim zealand talks about it and so
there's a bunch of videos about that on
my channel
um but tulpas tulkus uh igregors there's
all these different words for these
things it's just a collection of energy
it's just that when we
agree on something and we see it in
reality
we see the effect of it too in reality
because that's the ideological
representation of it um and so i think
that's
that's that's kind of a game-changing
idea you know like the idea that
there are these uh collections of
energies and maybe they are demons maybe
they're personified
um it just i think it just kind of
depends on our perception about them you
know
it's like sometimes i think there are
rituals and things that people will do
to like evoke these things but i don't
think those that's even necessary i just
think that our attention is that
powerful that we
we really can you can create that you
know that hilarious preacher
you know i have a friend jeff who
created a um
uh character there's a country music
writer when he has writer's block
he goes into quiff tweeter and he's like
man quick tweeter writes a song every
day
man you know that's his thing so he sits
down it breaks his writer's block
because he's able to access that idea
and that that
sort of person that he's created when we
would race in school like in
in like elementary school i would play
the theme song to uh
sonic the hedgehog in my head and it was
like
you know switch me into running mode and
like i could run faster as long as
i heard this song like sonic like these
weird little things that we create that
bring up this
uh um what would you call a confidence
or this
certainty that it's just playing in your
head you know a memory or
kind of like you know when people are
standing in front of a crowd you've
heard this picture everybody nude
oh hey and now i have control over i'm
the only one that's clothed here and all
of you guys are
imbeciles or something you know what i'm
saying so there's these weird techniques
in our minds that unlock things that
aren't really there
but we we train our mind to kind of give
us that again confidence
absolutely and even just breathing you
know slowing down your breath
you know that can really be a great tool
to just calm you down in a moment that
yeah you know where you're
interacting or interfacing with somebody
um or
performing on stage just to get that
heart rate down
um what's that guy's name greg braden
talks a lot about the consistent
the heart you know the way that it beats
it's it's like if you're
you know in an athletic thing your heart
may be beating fast
but if it's consistent you know as far
as the rhythm of it
then you're in a your brain's relaxed
and it's when it's there are heartbeat
irregularities
that we kind of get stressed out and
cortisol starts releasing in our
in our brain as a result of that so um
touching on the comedy subject before we
get too far away from it one person who
really does
everything you've been talking about
really good is jp spears
um somebody who seems so spiritual
woo-woo breath work
yoga translated on meditation
psychedelics all of that
but he still jabs at it he still makes
fun of all of the faux pas
and the things that need to be made fun
of
and is in and i guess him he seems like
an enigma in a sense because he seems so
far left
because a lot of the spiritual community
is but he's like
even though he doesn't really come out
and say it too much like he seems like a
conservative
person who you would think would be
super super super
left you know and so he's able to come
in and take jabs at his own community
and he does it well i'm sure people get
pissed off but when i read the comments
it's like
people like get it man because he's
doing it with the comedic edge
if he didn't have that comedic edge
they'd cut his head off
but because he's making you laugh and
he's give what do you call it like
giving you
some some uh sugar with your medicine
right
some honey with your medicine it helps
it go down smoother
you know oh he's he is amazing and so i
took a comedy course
last year uh during you know with the
first lockdown thing
uh with the guy scott dickers who's the
editor of the onion
for years he's no longer with them now
but he was the creator of the onion
as well um and he talked about like hey
you know you need to get
you know somebody as a case study and jp
was my case study so i went through all
his material
and yeah you know i'm not trying to
obviously like uh
steal anybody's stick or anything like
that but as far as like
the community of people like that's very
much
a community that i can relate to and i
also love clowning on of course the
voice of what we do when we do a breath
work sketch is not
the same as what you know jp would do
um but as far as like being able to put
together two
you know self-help and comedy you know
that's something that
is important to me and that's starting
to come together more and more and more
as i'm continuing to develop everything
that
that i'm doing you know where both of
these things can can work together
like the get coached thing is a is it's
it's
it's a little bit tongue-in-cheek you
know what i mean come on get coached you
know and
so i have a sketch about that and you
know just kind of making fun of the
whole
self-development scene in general
because
it is there's vulnerability there and
that's always funny
like when you open up you know the
things that you know are underneath our
masks
um it's funny it's exposing and there's
something about that that's
just awkward and uh and it makes makes
me laugh even like wearing the starseed
shirt today you know like i don't think
many people know
really where starseed comes from it's
like a new age term now that's been
co-opted by the new age where it's like
oh i'm a star seed i'm from
the 12th dimension uh you know the
galactic federation
exactly right like i'm not one of you ew
gross
um but it actually comes from timothy
leary's work it's from
where uh uh a meteor actually hit the
earth and they found some space dust on
it and that was we called it a starseed
so that's actually where it's from uh
most people wouldn't know that but like
you know all that stuff like i've got a
bunch of sketches in the pipe that are
kind of going over the
new age movement one sky so you think
you are an alien and i'm going to shoot
that one pretty soon
and a lot of other just sketches because
like i said you know
stand up is not really a happening as
much right now and zoom
comedy is super duper awkward yeah
yeah yeah there's too much of a pause in
between oh it's just weird yeah
there's no you mess with tick-tock at
all i'm not on tick-tock currently
you watch it or no i really i no i see i
see reposts on instagram a lot i'm on
instagram
i need to get hipper but i've just been
so uh uh
really dedicated i think that that's the
one of the huge things that
got us and is getting us through the
pandemic man yeah
there's been so much of a comedic relief
relief and release uh um away from
you know facebook and youtube that you
can go there and you're gonna laugh
it may take you a few minutes but you're
gonna get a laugh in it and it's going
to curate you something that you like if
you want to watch cat videos if you're
looking at diys or whatever
and you like it and you you it knows
that you
let those videos load um it'll curate
that stuff for you
um there's one guy on there i don't know
if you've seen him but i think it's
really fun i've been seeing a lot of
stuff lately
he uh he does zoom um interviews like uh
for jobs
so he like they they he applies for a
job and they they'll do the in
the interview over zoom and so he's just
like in some random
place when he's doing the interview so
he's doing a job interview and he's
eating eating pizza he
takes him out of pizza like sure are you
eating he's got a whole mouthful
no of pizzas so you need to take this
seriously i'm not eating it's like you
go
and she starts going on with her bed and
yeah this this and then
the second she kind of looks away he
tries to sneak another bite
and it's just like seeing the reaction
to
him like laying down in his car like
only in his underwear doing a job
interview holding up
his phone hey that's great trying to get
the job
so much genius man that you know
creativity
something else with that though is
people stealing other people's work
you know let's talk about that uh it's
big in comedy you know there's two big
people that that were called out
carlos mencia and amy schumer were were
called out and and suffered some
career blows from stealing uh jokes from
legends
and stuff that people knew and it didn't
it didn't jive
um tick tock uh
instagram let me just call this dude's
name out
um probably because i don't know his
name that's a good thing
billy carson starseed
secrets of the pyramids he he's huge
millions of followers on instagram he
downloaded other people's memes and
videos and just and
put his name on him and he just like he
had
people working for him and he would he
would download their memes and put his
website on
them and then these were good memes that
would go viral and they're all spiritual
niche and like
he's that platform that that catapulted
him
this instagram account from stealing
people's work
and putting his name on it um same thing
with tick tock you see a good bit
somebody's doing it you take it and redo
it make it your own
millions of people out there who haven't
seen it think that you came up with it
first
yours goes viral the one that you
originally saw kind of
trades places and people are taking your
work taking your work i got a guy
literally
who watches everything that i do all my
interviews reads my book takes my all my
content
and repurposes it like he like it's his
and he teaches he does sessions on like
ever
all of my topics and everything like i'm
talking about like a lot of it's
verbatim
it's like hey like you know i got it
from somewhere i guess uh some of it i
definitely came up with
obviously i was inspired by other people
with a lot of it
to claim exclusivity on this stuff and
you know these bits in this comedy who
owns it kind of stuff like what do you
think about
all of that joke stealing whether it's
memes whether it's bits whether
you know it's spiritual material that we
want to use to to help people
in their their you know life
inspire people all that yeah i mean
that's a big no-no stealing especially
in comedy um but in
any in any niche plagiarism is
not cool um it's a form of flattery
though right
right right yeah well i mean then again
the other side of that picture is like
you know good artist borrowing great art
of steel you know
and i think the essence of that quote
and i said uh
i i can't remember if that's da vinci or
van gogh
anyway it's it was a very famous artist
who said that that quote
and i think the point of that is to this
is the process itself
really more related to than the actual
work you know
um and so i'll also say like yeah
stealing is a terrible idea but i mean
if somebody stole your one line
one line or zinger yeah maybe you're not
that funny bro
you know what i mean like because it's
not just about a joke like comedy is
beyond
a joke it's about like the way you say
the joke and the timing and stuff like
that
and of course i'm not like saying that
it's okay to steal
jokes because it's not that's a big big
no-no
and you never want to um you never want
to do that but then again at the same
time
there's also still nothing new under the
sun you know so it's like how
can we take something or an idea and put
it in a way or put a different spin on
it because like
like i said you know i did that case
study of jp sears and you know i could
have done this breath work sketch
for instance in the vein of jp and it
would have been a lot like
what he does but instead we probably
could turn into that investigator to
like study jp and see where his jokes
originated from
it's okay he got that from from brian
cowling he got this bit
he definitely got that from this guy
with all of our stuff
you know it's true i don't know if it's
maybe given credit where credit is due i
don't know how do you tell a joke and
say well you know i got that from true
seeker or
whatever um what is the etiquette
because
we've all been influenced um whether
it's you know
knowingly or unknowingly but i think
majority especially when it's malicious
it's the knowingly stuff that
hey i'm gonna take this and flip it um
there's a there's an older lady that
i've interviewed on here i actually got
her on my rap song she's in her 80s
she's a grandmother in her 80s
god did a rap song with me her first rap
song um
she's amazing she had a video that that
blew up when they put it on a collective
evolution
did a they took her video put music
behind it and then put the
put her words over it and when they did
it it blew up but she
it's one where she's saying um you know
if you work for seven days a week it you
just
you're living for the week's end and job
is something that you do that makes you
very tired and
job is the same word for job in the
bible who was you know distraught and
she goes
she goes on this word play stuff and
she's obese with it laura erica
she's the beast with it and uh but i've
seen so many people
take and these are poems she's not just
talking and teaching hey man you know
seven days a week
she constructed this as a poem a skit
that she does
and people have taken that regurgitated
it
with and never mentioned her name so
that would be like a song like my songs
that i write
i write i pride myself with coming up
with stuff that doesn't exist
you know what i'm saying like and uh
whether it's a weird rhyming scheme or
or combining these words that you never
heard
and then you you hear rappers oh yeah he
was listening to me for sure
and somebody take my rhyming scheme
whether it's people you know were in the
same kind of niche like oh yeah they
i it's an honor to influence you it's an
honor that you listen to me right um but
how much so you taking this lady's work
and not giving her credit for and this
is
this is how she lives you know off of
her subscribers
and ad revenue and things like that at
least you know say hey
go back to the original article or
whatever here you know
yeah man that's uh definitely not cool
you know
there's a there's a lot of like
especially in comedy you steal
somebody's joke man
like that's that the whole thing that
went down with carlos mencia was that
joe rogan
literally got on stage while he was on
stage
and called him out and sent him packing
from stage
but joe wrote he tried to make joe rogan
to be the bad guy back then
you know oh man dude he's a legend
because of that like he
is a legend because of that and that was
a big stand for
definitely doing something that was
right you know you can be taking some
somebody's livelihood and then you know
and and then
you know stealing it from them that's
not cool the temptation's there
you know you see something that's funny
you're like oh that's funny and i'll say
this too like most comedians have like
writing teams that are working for them
yeah you know i've worked for some
bigger uh comedians and they come in and
they're paying everybody there
to be like is this funny and they'll
pitch and pitch and pitch
and then they'll have like four riders
and you never want to be the funniest
guy in the room even if you hired
everybody but especially if you hired
everybody you want them to be funnier
than you
and so like that's the kind of you know
uh
sort of group you know uh dynamic that
you want to really
have and a lot of people don't really
acknowledge
that i didn't either when i first
started doing it i was like oh my god
you know look at richard pryor just goes
out there and just
crushes you know or eddie murphy but i
didn't realize that
they were writing and you know we
comedians we write together too like i
have a lot of friends who
write you know scripts for tv or movies
and they'll send it to me and i'll give
them notes and
you know back and forth i send them my
stuff and they give me notes and
and that's really what um makes stuff
good because comedy is
freaking hard it is a beast because you
know the thing about comedy
like you make music and somebody's like
man i love this song and then they want
to listen to it 500 times in a row i
tell you one joke that's hilarious
and i say it a second time dude you shut
up you're tired bro
you know like can it so comedy's tough
like that and like when you write a
script
it should have like four to five laughs
per page
but that's a minute a page is a minute
you know what i'm saying so
trying to get like four to five laughs
per page in a stand-up routine
per minute or in a sitcom per minute
it's easier to do in a sitcom you know
what i mean but
uh but that's the goal and these guys
are actually doing it
so um yeah it's uh it's it's it's
tempting
but at the same time um it's certainly
certainly a no-no and like i think that
you cheat yourself
out of your own essence when you do
something like that too like the dude
who's a copy of you he's a parody bro
like and he'll never be more than a
parody like he will never have his own
individuality and he won't be lit up
the way that someone who has their own
individuality
you know their is shining their own
light you know
and projecting themselves the way they
truly are so
you know what what good is that if jerry
seinfeld tried to be
you know uh roddy dangerfield then he
would have never
made it he would have never been good as
a comedian he would have only been
a representation a copy a parody of
somebody else and
what at the end of the day like who
really wants that do you want to be one
of the people on hollywood boulevard
that's dressed up as the tin man
you know what i mean like that ain't
that's that's what folks do who works
them dudes wow man eventually they will
be found out
too you know what i mean so eventually
even if it works
you know and you have a couple of them
like just think just think about it
within the parody people
they they fight with each other if
there's a new superman that comes up
the original superman is a hey bro
there's not room enough for me and you
to do this
that's right you know and they're just a
parody of something else a parrot yeah
something a parody of a parrot yeah and
it's
that's hilarious yeah actually there was
a documentary on that i watched someone
was like on vice or something a long
time ago but it was good
it was interesting sad that's sad
it is stabbing each other and all kind
of stuff like
you know like demanding money after they
just like offered a picture hey want a
picture of me sure
three dollars sir what get away no you
gotta pay into following you around
hollywood boulevard like wanting that
that three dollars so it's like oh god
right
learning to moonwalk it took you three
years you could have been doing
working on you know your own brand of
entertainment you know and not be stuck
on
on on vine you know i think that's rough
bro
so yeah i would i would say that you
know something it's really tempting and
really easy to just
you know be inspired by people
absolutely
but yeah it's definitely it's you know
i'm working on some cover songs right
now
and uh you know um i didn't write them
um i'm doing my own spin on them it is
an
homage to turn people on to the original
though you know what i'm saying like
it's not stealing like it's like hey um
there but there is a mystique to like
not even want to tell people that it's a
cover
you know what i'm saying um knowing that
there's a different audience and
and that isn't to to lie to you or think
to think that i wrote it but it's like
i want you to i want you to figure it
out where yeah
like how many how many songs do we
listen to now
that we don't even know were covers of
another song because
it's like it doesn't say cover of or
written it would say written by in the
credits most likely but there's so many
i think even with the the music
aspect there's a different um but
at the same time i want to give i want
people to turn on to this beautiful
music that i listen to
growing up and and have this rendition
of that kind of song like i just covered
a marilyn manson song
i don't think that many of my all my
audience listens to marilyn manson or
even
knows what most of that stuff is some
people call it on onto it
i'm working on a song by the band orgy
and i just
i would put like a few seconds of of me
listening to it
just to see if somebody caught it and
it's an obscure song
but like only the hardcore orgy fans
would get it and somebody commented it i
was like
that's what i wanted i wanted to see if
you got it you know what i'm saying and
they did so it's like this weird
you know how when you're into stuff that
not everybody's into you know whether it
is a band it's usually a band right
you find this obscure band but then when
the band blows up you're like ah
just whatever but when they're
underground you know it's your thing
you know and it's kind of kind of that
same thing you know i love that yeah it
was like that with the white stripes you
know
they that cover of jolene uh by dolly
parton
oh my god he's just wailing and
screaming you know that's such a great
cover
like they really did a good job of
making it their own and i
love that sort of stuff and i was like
um
i love a good a good cover a good
rendition of something that's
that's different and i love the
obscurity about it too because you can
bring that
great song into a world people so many
through you you're like building a
bridge to that thing i just
me speaking of marilyn manson i just
found i said just fine it's been a
couple years but
his smells like children's album the
whole album was a cover album but he did
it in his own
unique way you know and they were all
cover songs and it's like i
you knew that there was one cover on
there you know sweet dreams the
eurythmics
but the whole album was a cover album
was like wow you know it's like paying
homage to like good music you know
that's cool so very cool
one thing that we we mentioned at the
beginning i said i was gonna touch on
that we didn't didn't go back to it yet
you mentioned uh
you know all of these different spirits
and things like that that
the essence of of gods and angels and
jesus and you know all this stuff that
exists and
maybe even it exists if we believe in it
and i've heard
people in like the new age community
kind of take a jab
at uh christians and they say
you know how much we we love jesus and
jesus has saved us and changed our lives
and now we
we are filled with the holy spirit and
and uh we need to draw
energy from christ and our love and
faith in him i've heard people
take jabs at that in a new ways
community and say oh
you're giving your power away to another
being you're not owning your power
you're giving your power
away have you heard any of that that
notion of giving your power away from
the gods and they kind of look at i
think they even look at like religion or
or
christianity or jesus as some a god that
needs your power that
sucks off of your power or something
like that that's interesting uh
man the way i view it is is that you
know
god would want us to be our most
authentic that we are
each like this shard or particle of god
itself right
and not that we are gods right like i'm
not trying to get like into that
because i don't i don't i don't like
solipsism at all not one not one bit
it's a very dangerous philosophy
uh in my opinion but um as far as like
connecting to god or jesus or however we
want to identify as god you know we
can't label this thing it's so
beyond what we're able to conceive i
think that what
god wants that true connection that true
like umbilical cord
is talking about to infinity is really
our own representation so we are
each this expression this facet of god
so by embodying that
and connecting to god or spirit or
source or universe or whatever
then that's really how we can represent
god to the best of our abilities
you know by being our most authentic
self so i don't think it's given power
away
not at all and uh you know however we
connect
in our own private life spiritually
that's
what we want to bring out when we go out
in public you know and like
that energy is it's it's it's really
powerful when you can go out and just
embody
your connection to to god or source you
know
and then people pick up on that and i
think that's a big
big way to really catalyze some changes
because people are
something different about you
everybody's scared you know wearing six
masks and [Â __Â ] you know and it's like
why are you
so chipper you know why are you in a
good mood why are you able to
bring levity to this like it doesn't
make sense but then they start to get
curious
because what is it about that like and
the truth is
and i don't think you can fake it but
you have to
have a relationship with yourself you
know your higher self or whatever
we're talking about the new age people
right like i mean if that's
at the same point well i mean if you're
so you know obsessed with your
higher self aren't you giving your power
away to your higher self you know what i
mean it's like it's the same argument
um the new age i have some
bones to pick with the new age man
especially the fact that
uh you could be so far to the left you
know and i'm a person who's very open to
human freedom i've seen the
the the quote unquote left changed
dramatically within my lifetime they're
not what they once were
um as far as free speech and shaming
people and guilt and
guilt duty and obligations those are the
the feed
for these ideological informational
structures oh you didn't go to church on
sunday you're not a good christian
and that's guilt and that ain't helping
nobody and if you're
operating out of fear or guilt or
an obligation to something i don't think
you're embodying your most authentic
self or that representation of god
that's within you that's love right and
so love would
would not suffer or or or jump
uh at that at that opportunity and
submit
to somebody else's idea because they
think that you're giving your power away
no no love just
blasts itself and uh and doesn't
apologize
you know so um so yeah the new age
movement you know it's like
there's so many contradictions within it
it's it's the it's the satanism and
christian thing you know it's like
listen i i am i just exist because you
exist
you know i am just a you know a member
a mirror image of what you don't like
about yourself
i am that the left and right the
positive and negative
the satan and christian you know yeah
yeah exactly and there's this i see
escapism in both
too right in the new age movement where
it's like we're gonna ascend to 5d
here we go guys we're going to send a 5d
man you don't even know what 4d
is 4d is time bro
you know what i mean it's just it's like
spending time brother
understanding you know this next uh
level in our progression you can look at
a book like the law of one
where basically he's saying that um we
are going through these
uh this progression of consciousness as
a species
and from the third density to the fourth
density and so the third density would
be like
individual individuation and
self-awareness
and then the fourth density would be
love so going into
this more understanding of love itself
and that's a progression within the
human species that we're a very young
species
and that we're evolving as a species and
i see that
as the hermetic axiom as above so below
so we're doing that as an individual and
we're also doing that collectively as a
species we see in the
macro has always reflected the micro and
uh
and so i see that sort of progression
and instead of
embracing this third dimension reality
of all this stuff and this conflict
duality well well we have to
rapture out and go to 5d well you're
saying the same thing
as as a christian who's like well we've
got to rapture out you know before the
apocalypse
yeah you got to give it up
uh owen boochie greenwood uh thanks for
coming on the show brother
really enjoyed this talk man let people
know where they can go to check out your
work you got a lot that you bring to the
table
your coaching your podcast your comedy
all that cool stuff
and people definitely need to go listen
to the show that we did we did if y'all

talk about it
all right brother many blessings bro
we'll do it again thank you
all right peace peace bye
yes ladies and gentlemen i hope you
enjoyed that talk
really good we got kind of deep we
talked a little a
bit about it all i like to you know
connect with people where they are and
and and relate to them and when it comes
to building something new a new paradigm
um a new platform you know trying to
figure this stuff
out i mean you know helping people find
their purpose man that's definitely
what we have in common helping people
find purpose uh
trying to teach people how to use their
spirituality practically
everyday life you got to have something
for the average person something for the
everyday person
and you'll find out that a lot of people
don't they don't know how to
explain these deep truths that they hold
deep to their core to a six-year-old
they don't know how to explain it
it's too much it's too deep or how to
start a business
how to record a song you know how to do
this stuff practically man there are
really practical ways to
embody what you believe and that's what
we're supposed to be doing with our
spirituality with our beliefs
and um listen we get with the rest of
them but uh
you know we we have to two feet
on the earth head in the sky that's what
it is
thanks everybody for hanging out um
reading everybody's
comments in the chat shout out to
everybody cyber licks hunter
uh jaguar buchi greenwood jumped in the
chat
uh all you people lumeria reborn zoe
triple jc i see all of you guys man
everybody who's been with us at the
beginning
make sure y'all go just go check it out
you can get some uh some pretty cool
stuff at
the mysticcircle.net we've got a bunch
of free stuff over there too
so uh a bunch of articles there's uh
five minute body work which is kind of
like these really
slow and subtle movements that are
essentially qigong that you can do
sitting down
that a good friend of mine richie breath
has put out he's been
creating content for the mystic circle
and they're really powerful
short some of them are five minutes some
of them are three minutes but they're
really short things that you can do to
be mindful about your body to get the
energy flowing and it's really good so i
would recommend doing some of those
exercises
in the morning if you can do it in the
morning before you start your day
get involved with some qigong even with
this one you can do it sitting down but
go to
the mysticcircle.net click on videos
you'll see richie's
ones that he brought to the table all of
my meditations are on there as well as
some other ones
that people in the community are
bringing and i've got some interesting
ideas for some more
meditations that i want to create as
well we're working on some courses that
are going to be available
um we got our first webinar which i'm
excited to uh
for that one which you know for the
first one to be with dee wallace the mom
from e.t
who's going to host that session and
it's exclusive to the mystic circle
you get a bunch of really cool stuff and
it's a social platform
it's it's set up like facebook but it's
private
think facebook without the censorship
so it's good stuff hey adriana i see you
