As we come into this new understanding of the hierarchy of Heavenly order and the way things work, our relationships with these lesser entities change, or at least our view of them does. As I look over my past I no longer feel like a victim to my environment or circumstances. I am now able to look back at all the hard times in life and thank God for them. I now see all of it as blessings from God rather than a curse. Admittedly while going through the tribulations sometimes you feel hopeless and you would give anything to exclude yourself from the situation. When we look back on it we can see the hand of God moving in every situation. There are some things that you cannot learn by simply taking someone’s word for it. Sometimes we have to go through the trial and testing which is what produces character within us and is God’s way of doing things. Trials are working out things within us that we cannot see. It is producing character and creating a natural empathy for the broken and those less fortunate. Going through fiery trials is the baptism of fire and faith alone is nothing, but faith when tested proves our faith and what we really believe in. Though crushed on every side, as we endure it produces an anointing within us just like the olive that is pressed produces precious oil. In this way so do our lives when laid down to the sanctification process of God.

Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us. | Romans 5:3-5 But doesn’t the scripture say that God doesn’t tempt anyone? Yes. Temptation and testing are two different things. When we face temptation it is usually something that allures our animalistic nature to some type of temporal satisfaction that usually doesn’t produce life. The satisfaction is fleeting and if not checked early on can give birth to addictions and unhealthy habits. When we are tempted we are drawn away by our own lust and fleshly desires, but through every situation God has provided a way out. There is always a way of resistance and escape.

The testing of our faith is literally a test. We must prove what we believe by our actions. The way to pass each test is to respond with perfect love and perfect peace like Christ would. This is how we pass the test and are trusted with more, i.e. a greater anointing, favor etc. God the father is the author and finisher of our faith. He who started the good work within us is faithful and just to see us unto its completion. The way testing works with the hierarchy of Heaven is that spirits, angels or demons are loosed to carry out their assignment from God. It is not God himself that tempts us but he allows it and it is righteous. Responding with love and total trust in God is one of the greatest acts of worship. Though everything around us seems to be falling apart, though we have every reason to panic and freak out, we stand in faith knowing that the promises of God are Yes and Amen. Again, this is how we pass those tests and maintain our peace. Once we pass a test we may have to take a pop quiz sometime after just to make sure we still maintain the wisdom needed for spiritual growth unto maturity. If God finds us faithful with the small things he will be able to entrust to us the greater.
